Nachos-not that good this time around
Caroline J.

We often order the same few items when we go in when visiting family and they always prepare them well. They also show all the spots you could want so great place to catch a few games at once. This time we had the macho nachos and were as good as usual. Also had a crispy chicken tender salad. Fresh ingredients and the chicken tenders are some of the best. Our server was great and always made sure we had everything we needed!

We called on a Thursday to do a reservation for 10 people at 6pm on that upcoming Saturday. They reserved the back room for us which we appreciated. When we arrived, the space was ready for us. It was a bit on the warmer side inside the back room when it was a high of 80s outside. We ordered the All-Star combo. I enjoyed the different sauce options and the Mac and cheese bites were great. The pretzels were fine, nothing special. The mild sauce on the boneless chicken wings was not my favorite. I ordered the Glory Days cheesesteak and the onions on it were really yummy. I ended up eating more of just the inside of the sandwich because I was pretty full. I had upgraded to the sweet potato fries and the amount they give compared to the normal fries was substantially less even though you paid more. I tried the freshly squeezed lemonade and it was well done. My husband ordered the Mac and cheese burger and he thought it was quite tasty. Service throughout was not terrible, but there was one drink missed that was ordered, but luckily we were not charged for it. I would say this is about your average American bar type food. The prices are decent, especially with the high cost of northern Virginia.

I was harassed at the bar & the new manager Alex ask ME to move instead of asking the drunk dude to leave. Mike the TV guy was really rude Took 10 plus minutes to het a drink at the bar ( older lady bartender) Sunday funday? African American bartender off duty behind bar. I thought he was on the clock... I went to him as he is always here and instead of listening he told me that he was NOT on the clock and to move. He smelled like alcohol. I'm glad Elliot world here! So far my caesar salad came out with croutons ( I asked for NO croutons) I'll update shortly My T-bone came out almost well done NOT medium. I took a few bites and box the rest to feed my dog. On the brighter side broccoli was delicious a bit too soft but I was hungry. Food. Service to Elliot Ambiance NO women should be asked to move when a drunk dude is harassing her. How about as him to leave. On the way out the drunk dude touch my back. GD you need a better manager than Alex He can't hang!

We went here after a local high school football game around 940pm. It was very loud, crowded, and full of energy as if we were still at a football game. Lots of excited vocal fans watching the Green Bay and Eagles game. They have wall to wall TVs with lots of sports playing. The food was great and our server Deja was amazing. We had two tasty sandwiches and fries. It would have been better to get a few more fries on the plate but it was fine. The boneless wings were a great appetizer. The kitchen was a little slow but to be expected given how busy they were.

I ordered a Glory Burger, medium cooked patty and it was cooked exactly how i ordered it. We also ordered ribs and they were a bit over cooked but the cornbread on the side was to die for ! . The cocktails however were not good, it was happy hour so we did get a good deal but they weren't what i expected! Overall, service was quick , despite it being very busy! the server gave us good recommendations which i did appreciate !

Meatloaf. This is what they call meatloaf
Jonathan X.

The meatloaf is just two hamburger patties. What a joke. The place has a strong smell of bleach. We picked up a few dinners with friends from out of town, but it just wasn't good. The chips were hard with the guacamole, the salads are your basic bag salad from the grocery store, just overall it's a crappy place to eat.

There is nothing not to like Great service, fun suburban bar atmosphere, great daily deals, lots of alcohol, large kids menu, and quick food I love their steak with the Zac Brown sauce and the fish sandwich. It's like Chili's if Chili's had good food My go to if I don't feel like cooking

Football | Camaraderie | Noise…read more Football: This is a fantastic place to watch a football game. TVs are everywhere, and each one is clearly labeled with which game is playing--no confusion, no bad angles. The entire bar area offers solid seating with great sightlines, so as long as you're near the bar, you'll have a clear view of the action. Whether you're coming solo, with friends, or as part of a group, it's a great setup for game day. Camaraderie: The atmosphere is exactly what you want for football Sunday (or Monday, or Thursday). The energy is high, the fans are engaged, and there's a fun mix of team loyalties that keeps things lively. People cheer, groan, and occasionally talk a little trash--but it's all in good spirits. It's the kind of environment that reminds you why sports bring people together. If you enjoy a bit of noise and shared emotion with your football, you'll feel right at home here. Noise: Make no mistake--this place is loud. It's not a family-friendly, quiet brunch kind of spot. This is a true fan zone where the energy matches the intensity of the game. If you're looking for a peaceful meal or conversation, this might not be your scene. That said, there's a quieter section farther from the main bar where you can still enjoy the food without the roar of the crowd. Why Not Five Stars? The combination of high noise levels, limited space to move around, and average food quality/options drops it one star. It's fantastic for the atmosphere and energy, but not the spot for culinary excellence or quiet conversation. Pro Tips: - 10% military discount--just ask! - Plenty of parking available, so getting in and out is easy even on busy game days.

She was on top of refilling drinks, making sure we weren't left alone for too long when we were waiting for our food to come, and just had an overall amazing energy. While we really enjoy all of the servers we've had at Mikes, Alicia takes the cake. If there's any way to provide her with recognition, I would highly vouch for it. She could sell me anything on that menu with that kind of personality! Thank you, Alicia! I'm going to make sure we try to get seated at your table again.

I visited Mike's American after coming across it on Resy and was able to get a same-day reservation…read morefor two on Easter Sunday. As expected, it was busy, but the restaurant does have a fairly large parking lot which made arrival easier. The setup was interesting. After checking in downstairs, I was given a ticket and directed upstairs for seating. I took the elevator, which offered a clear view of the kitchen below as it ascended... definitely a unique touch. Upstairs, another host staff guided us to our table. The space had a lively feel, roaring with chatter from customers, and I could see parts of the kitchen where food was being prepared over an open flame, which added to the overall atmosphere. For the food, we started with the calamari. It was cooked well and had a nice texture, especially paired with the crispy onion shoestrings, which added a good crunch and flavor. It was served over a lobster sauce, although the lobster flavor wasn't very noticeable. The main issue was the salt level... it was quite heavy! I did enjoy it overall, but I would only recommend it to someone who doesn't have to watch their sodium intake. For entrées, I ordered the steak cooked medium with broccolini. The dish automatically comes with mashed potatoes, and while I was able to substitute the salad for broccolini, there didn't seem to be flexibility with the potatoes. After tasting the mashed potatoes, I wish I was offered to substitute it as it tasted like the brown box we grew up on where you just added water. When the food came out, the steak was closer to medium-well or well done rather than medium, and both the mashed potatoes and broccolini were a bit cold. I chose not to send it back since we waited but it did affect the overall experience. My guest ordered the ribs with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were well-prepared--tender with a clean pull off the bone--and were probably the highlight of the meal. The fries were also very good and came out hot. The coleslaw wasn't as well received, described as having too many of the tougher parts of the cabbage. Overall, the experience had some positives, especially in terms of atmosphere and certain menu items like the ribs and fries. While I did enjoy parts of the meal, it's not somewhere I would personally return to, but it may be worth trying once to form your own opinion.

He always recommended Kilroys to us as he was a regular at this restaurant. So, it became our annual tradition to have dinner at Kilroys. When you walk into Kilroys, you'll appreciate the amount of details thag went into the interior design of the restaurant. It should be noted that Kilroy's honors its veterans. My uncle was a proud veteran, so he always felt welcomed here. There is a lot of military memorabilia throughout Kilroy's. The walls are filled with so many photos that walk you back through historic events. There's so much love for the USA in here! The menu consists of a lot of traditional American food. Most of the items are heavy, so expect to leave with a full belly. They have your typical meat, fish, poultry, and pasta dishes. However, they also offer flatbread pizzas! There really is something for everyone. I typically order catfish or trout. Both are delicious, but I really like their catfish. I love Cajun spices, so it's always nice to enjoy something that hits close to home. I also appreciate that their servings are large, because it's well worth the money that you spend here. I would have never heard of Kilroy's if it wasn't for my uncle. Kilroy's definitely lived up to the hype. I enjoy coming here because it's like a hidden gem. It's situated in a small shopping center and you'd probably walk past it as it doesn't really stand out. I think it's safe to say we are fans. This place is old school, not just due to the decor but also due to certain staff (although they have recently been joined by some newer folks), attendees, and the menu. We stick with burgers, loaded tots, wings, cider, and a dessert. I visit here with hubs as well as a walking buddy. It's decor is a little conflicted in that is WWI & II focused inside and Jimmy Buffet /beachy w parrots outside. During the pandemic I enjoyed sitting outside eating the tots & sipping cider with my walking buddy after a walk around the lake, unfortunately now the outside seems to have become a smoking area removing it as a good place to eat for those of us who do not smoke. I hope it will regain its nice outdoor dining space in the new year's spring and summer but guess the bar crowd may frequent the outdoor space for smokes which is unfortunate. The bar is open late with sports streaming constantly and been a good place to catch games so I get why they may find it beneficial to keep that crowd returning. Despite the old school vibe and dark decor Kilroy's is clean & the service is friendly although they do over use those food heat lamps. We come here regularly for the Monday burger deal, I would guess we currently average about once a month.
