Once again one satisfied customer!!! Wonderful friendly service. This deli looks and smells clean. I absolutely love their tuna salad sandwiches with shredded lettuce and tomato with a side pickle. Very good pickles!

Visiting from out of town, one of the things we miss about the Hudson Valley is a NY Deli. This has all the required elements, great breakfast sandwiches, the usual bagels, hard rolls, deli sandwiches and prepared foods. Service was fast and friendly. We will be back!

This deli has been in the area for longer than me, and in recent years switched from A1-Deli to Nicks Delicatessan. The deli is quaint and has many things you may need from deodorant to chips and beer. The staff is very friendly and its generally a welcoming atmosphere. Ive eaten here several times and the food always tastes good. Usually I will phone my order in ahead of time for times sake as the service here is not fast if you wait. Its not incredibly slow, but just not fast. My only other gripes are pkrtion size and price. There are cheaper delis in the area that provide "more bang for the buck". When I frequent this deli its usually because it has a convenient location for whatever Im doing at the moment. One thing I will say is pretty cool is they have craft beers on tap and growlers for sale. Great idea! Overall this deli will not leave you unhappy and provides a decent meal from some pretty friendly people. * Note - Try the "hobo" for breakfast. Sausage bacon ham egg cheese and a hashbrown on a roll. Delicious!

Average deli, not bad! Had a chicken salad sandwich. Decent grub - if you're hungry they will make you a sandwich too!

From the very beginning, Chris, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Since The Beacon Daily typically does not offer direct delivery for a la carte orders, I explained that this lunch was part of a very important three day celebration and that everything needed to be handled with extra care. Without hesitation, Chris personally stepped in, took ownership of the order, and even delivered it himself all the way to Glynwood's Perkins House. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and willingness to accommodate our requests were truly remarkable. He thoughtfully provided compostable plates, napkins, and flatware and made sure every aspect of the order was handled flawlessly. It is rare to find a business owner so personally invested in ensuring a customer's event is successful. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. The event planner shared that the lunch was extremely well received, with guests offering numerous compliments throughout the afternoon. Everything was fresh, delicious, beautifully prepared, and perfect for our group. Chris went above and beyond in every way, and the combination of outstanding food and exceptional customer service made The Beacon Daily one of the highlights of the event weekend. If you're looking for a caterer or lunch provider that truly cares about quality and customer experience, look no further than The Beacon Daily. Thank you, Chris, for helping make our event such a success!

Great spot for lunch!…read more My husband and I stopped in on our way back to our Airbnb after a long morning hike. This place is counter service, so we made our way directly to the register to place our order. Upon ordering, we were warned that it would be at least a 30 minute wait until our food was ready due them being short staffed. Although we were hungry, we weren't in a rush and truly appreciated the heads up! I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich and WOWZA! The sandwich was HUGE! I took a photo of my Gatorade bottle laying next to it for comparison (haha). I hardly ate half of it because it was so filling, however it was definitely delicious. My husband ordered a sandwich of his own (although I can't remember which one) and he was equally pleased. We also ordered a side of tots which were crispy and salty, just how I like them! My husband and I definitely could've shared one sandwich as we both don't eat a lot in one sitting, so this is something to keep in mind if you're reading this before your first visit here!! The weather was absolutely gorgeous so we chose to sit on the front patio. It was such a lovely atmosphere for lunch! Also, because we were sitting outside, they told us to come back in 30 minutes to check if our order was ready because we wouldn't be able to hear them call our name. All in all, a pleasant experience! Would definitely recommend this place for lunch, especially if you're in the mood for sandwiches.

Also their sandwiches are very good but very small. $16.95 got me a pulled pork but it was served on a Martin's Potato Roll, which while tasty is tiny. They're not even using the "Martin's BIG Potato Rolls" just the small regular ones. The sandwiches come with chips for free or fries for an upcharge -- But the chips are homemade and frankly way better than the fries! That said again it was good but for the price the sandwiches should be much bigger. They were dog friendly and very nice which we loved. We will be back soon!

The steak sandwich was yummy, thinly sliced cuts beef, gooey cheese and well seasoned. The sandwich would been better on roll or crusty bread over a hamburger bun though. House-made potato chips were my favorite, well seasoned and cooked just to crispy, other places tend to burn chips but here just right. The filet taco, was very small, mostly a just two bites. It's meat filling was alright, tiny diced but filled the space. The taco sauce though was fire, very savory and well seasoned, almost wish the meat was cooked on the sauce rather than salt and pepper it. Have to come back and buy some of the raw stuff for home, since a very wide selection of cuts is here I can't get at supermarket for sure

The bread is fresh and just enough crunch as you bite into it. The filling is a good ratio of meats and other fixings that you have everything in every bite down to the last one! I love the menu concept of their recommended curated sandwiches and toppings, but space to build your own combination on the card provided. Genius. It's a take out spot, so perfect to order and take on a hike or find a spot outside to take in the views. There is no seating associated with the store front. A few downsides to mention... 1. I believe they opened recently but the hours are a little tough. Friday- Sunday 10-5pm hopefully that changes. 2. There are no prices anywhere on the sandwich menu or on the build your own card so it's a surprise when you get to the register and I wouldn't say that sandwiches are cheap. Sometimes after a…read morelong paddle on the Hudson, sometimes while showing friends around Cold Spring, and sometimes simply because it's convenient. Most recently, we grabbed two sandwiches for pickup. My opinion hasn't changed much over those visits. Claude's makes perfectly acceptable sandwiches. They're fresh, they're filling, and if you're already in the village and looking for something quick, you'll probably leave satisfied. I've never had a bad meal here. I've also never had one that made me think, "I can't wait to come back for that." That's really the theme of Claude's for me: convenience over destination. At roughly $45 for two sandwiches, I start expecting something memorable--whether that's exceptional bread, standout ingredients, creative combinations, or flawless execution. Instead, everything lands squarely in the middle. The ingredients are good. The preparation is good. The speed is generally good. It's all...good. Just not great. Living nearby also means I can't help but compare it to other local sandwich shops. If I'm looking for a dependable classic, I'd personally head to B&L Deli. If I want one of the best sandwiches in the Hudson Valley, I'll happily drive one town south to Benny's Brown Bag. Both leave a stronger impression and offer better overall value in my opinion. One thing I'd encourage is embracing customer feedback a little more openly. Every local restaurant receives honest criticism, especially in a town where you have diversity in your customers. That's not necessarily a bad thing--it's often the fastest path to becoming exceptional. Reading through responses to reviews gave me the impression that feedback is sometimes met defensively rather than viewed as an opportunity. As someone who genuinely wants independent businesses in Cold Spring to thrive, I'd rather see that energy directed towards improvement. This isn't a restaurant I'm rooting against--quite the opposite. I'd love to see Claude's become the sandwich shop people plan their trip around instead of the one they choose because it's available. Right now, it fills an important niche in the village, and there's certainly value in that. If you're visiting Cold Spring and everything else is packed, you'll likely enjoy your meal. If you're specifically chasing the best sandwich in the area, I'd suggest venturing just a little farther. Sometimes "good enough" is exactly what you need. I just think Claude's has the potential to be much more than that.
