Stopped by here because no other nail shops in the area was open and I'm glad I stopped here. I was kindly greeted right away and asked what services I would like. My full set was $45, nice price because I came with a few nails that had old gel polish, the tech removed it with no problem. Most of all the nail tech was super gentle!! Because of that alone I will definitely return. My nails are super sensitive so I appreciate the nail tech for being gentle. The process took about 1hr no problem because my nails look so cute, exactly what I wanted! The ambiance is nice, relaxing and clean. It's located in a parking lot so parking is available but get taking fast due to other business in the lot. The other ladies were nice as well and all customers were treated with respect. No manners. Nobody greats you. I should have left at that point. I stayed like an idiot. I got a pedicure I feel in two nails repaired. Total was $80. Not bad in terms of price but the workmanship is awful. Pedicure was decent and that's the only reason I'm giving two stars. One of the nails I have repaired is entirely too long, and there was no shaping done whatsoever. She filed and it looked like she was fixing the shape to sharpen the edges, but upon closer inspection that didn't happen. I just paid and left. And I will never come back. read more

I never had a bad experience with this place. The things i don't like the most are the things they cannot control. My nail always come out better than any nail shop. I won't lie the last time i came in there ( two weeks ago ) i felt like they weren't really paying attention to me and what i wanted. The lady who serviced me was very nice however the lady who ran my water. She was an older lady with black short hair she made my water super cold after i told her it wasn't hot enough the first time and the woman sitting next to me hers was TOO Hot. She couldn't even put her feet in the water. So that's a big mistake. I honestly feel like they need more selection of colors i was very disappointed and i could not find the color i was looking for. I had this problem the visit before this as well. I think the reason why i keep coming back when i visit is because they are the only nail shop who does my nails very very thin the way i like and no matter what they do not break or come off unless i make them. Paid 5 bucks extra for salt scrub massage that seems part of every other regular service thinking it would be special. Owner although seemingly hospitable also had undertones of hostility. Color selection and polish type cheap. Nail polish chipped off in 3 days. Toe nails clipped on an angle. Never again dropping in on this walk in spot. I initially went to get my eyebrows groomed then decided to get a facial wax service including individual eyelash extensions, but let me tell you that it was the worst decision I could've made. My eyelash extensions started to peel off of one side of my eye within a day of having them, after having the facial wax; the side of my face broke out with irritated itching bumps. Not only that they only take certain forms of payments, either Zelle or cash. A huge loss on my end I'd rethink on coming here, especially after spending $65. read more

Hallelujah! I finally found a nail shop that I like. They have great colors. They're consistent. They deal with my nail OCD. 8 times out of 10 they do great. That's an A in my book. They follow directions, most fills last over two weeks. Their prices are decent. They do lashes well. I'm not a fan of their eyebrow waxing technique to keep it real. It's weird. I frequent this location for eyebrow waxing. A time or two I have gotten some eyelash strips installed as well. But when I do go Kelly always has my eyebrows on point! I dislike when she is busy with another customer and wants to have her daughter wax my eyebrows. It's not that she does a bad job I just like to know that my eyebrows are going to be on point instead of wondering. 3 stars for the location This nail shop is located in the heart of East Oakland. The area ia a little sketchy but common for an inner city. Definately not a place for relaxation because of the busy strip mall but they get the job done. I've been coming when I'm in the area off and on for the past 10 years. 4 stars for the service The owner Kelly is great! She does eyebrows really good and it's only $7 for a wax. A nail fill starts at $12 and my nails always come out great! $15 for a regular pedicure but for $5 more you get a sugar scrub and mint mask with massage. At $20 that's unheard in nearby cities. Went in around 6pm. I was sat down immediately and the technician did his thing. I have put off going to this place for years purposely due to the negative reviews, but I'm glad I gave this place a try. This is a no frills type of place, which I love. The fill was $25, and I was in and out in under an hour. CASH ONLY. My husband had to rush some cash over since the ATM next door seemed super sketch.. The small plaza this nail shop is located in, is not well lit after sundown...so please stay aware of your surroundings as you walk to and from the shop. Hurts my heart that this place has an extremely limited set of gel colors from the same colors, but I'll try to live my life and work passed it. I've been struggling to find quality work at an affordable price since the price of getting fills every two weeks ain't...no...joke. They should not be only accepting cash. Who cares if they've been scammed by them ratchet people who slid with fake credit cards! It's such an inconvenience to have to walk to an ATM and incur a fee with hopes that the machine is legit and not tampered with. All business take chances on being scammed, but that's why there's precautionary measures. Good Grief!!! I like the convience of paying with my bank/ATM/debit/credit card, smh. Okay, I'm going to keep this review SHORT, but sweet!! The ONLY redeeming quality about this HELL hole is that the "Eyelash Lady" is Terrific!! She's also Efficient, Cheap, and Fast!! However, that is the ONLY redeeming quality about this place. The cons are MYRIAD. For example, it's very DIRTY, the manicurists are RUDE, as they do NOT greet you upon entrance, or any other time, for that matter except for to demand money before services are rendered; it's also incredibly SMALL, and dimly lit. My bad, did I mention it's EXTREMELY FILTHY ?? So, as you can see, I think it would BEHOOVE you to skip this joint, that's if you are in favor of avoiding some kind of infection in your nails, or feet. read more

Came here with a friend to get Full Sets & Pedicures was told we had to wait 15 minutes and then my friend got seated first. I sat down and waited patiently (well past 15 minutes). Then to make things worse three women came in after me and my friend and was told the wait was 30 minutes. I was told to sit at the pedicure station : I'm thinking (ok it was a little longer but I'm already here so why not) Then I am sitting in the pedicure chair for a while now; my water is cold as hell. My friend is almost done with her nails u haven't even started my pedicure and I guarantee I would still be waiting if I didn't get out the chair myself. I never been here before and I never will return. Very unprofessional !! Just because a nail salon is in a plaza doesn't mean trust them! First mistake! Do NOT get your eyebrows done here!!!! I went in to get my eyebrows done because my regular place was too crowded. First thing I walked in and they sat me at a nail station where the woman had just finished the previous wax customer. She did no cleaning between me and the last person. She began dipping pre-cut strips into the wax. I'm not a fan of the pre-cut strips because not everyone's eye is shaped the same. But whatever, I went with it. She put the wax strips on the underside of my eyebrow and took a personal shaving tool and began SHAVING my eyebrows! I pulled my face back and asked "Are you shaving my eyebrows?" She said "Yes. We have to shave the little hairs" I told her that I was there to get my eyebrows waxed, not shaved, and that I would have shaved them myself if that's what I wanted. (I was speaking to her in a very calm tone) She said "Well that's what we do here. You don't have to come back if you don't like it" Believe me I won't. She began working again. She took the strips off, did some plucking, and then began using that shaver again. I backed up again and said "You can't use that on me. Look, when you use a shaver or razor on someone, you cut their skin and shave off skin cells too. Then, you don't clean the instrument and you use it on the next person! That is not safe. It's not okay. And it is not sanitary." She insisted that they sanitize things but I sat down just as the last woman stood up and didn't see her clean anything. I had no idea she would use a razor on me. Please do not go here. Even if you don't get Hepatitis or HIV by going here and getting your eyebrows shaved, you just might get a bacterial infection or eyebrows shaped like they belong on someone else's face. Also, if it happens to you, please contact the health dept. I seriously doubt this person had a cosmetology license. read more

Its usually busy so if you are in a rush I would recommend calling to see how long the wait it and or making an appointment. Yes there are pros and cons to this place. It would be convenient to swipe my card, however they are FAST and do an EXCELLENT job. You cannot beat their price! Personally, your time and their time is valuable. That out weighs cash only, pedicure options and nail designs. I tell everybody about this place! Best place to get your lashes done. They're really good and inexpensive for individual lashes (clusters). I don't recommend getting your nails done here. Don't get me wrong they do a great job they just don't last long and nails tend to break easily from my experiences when going here. If you're in a rush though and your typical nail place is over crowded this is a great go-to spot. They are cash only but it's ATM literally right next door in the store. HORRIBLE SERVICE ... young chubby girl messed up my eyebrows was rude and fast ! Didn't know what she was doing NEVER AGAIN

First and the LAST, that's for sure. When I walked into this salon today, my nails were done by another nail salon.... in San Leandro. I had gel with black tip. The lady at Dutton Nails did a really good job on them considering it's my natural nail and wasn't acrylic. Today, I didn't feel like driving all the way there and was rushing to get my nails done. I asked the technician at this place to give me a gel manicure with white tip...... that's when all hell came. She was aggressive with her tools, took out the drill and drilled away on my natural nails! she wasn't paying too close of an attention and either distracted or rushing, but my nails were medium length when I came in and now they're short! tooooo short! She chipped my darn nails with the drill! that's not all...... I expected an even file because I had them squared... my nails are crooked as F&%^%%^*&! some are square and some are round! She began to apply the gel then worked on the white tip...... it's crooked and pathetic looking and she looked like she was having a very hard time applying them, so I told her to just paint the whole nail nude color at this point so I can get the hell out of there. There are no other words after that and I had no other explanation on how this lady got a license in cosmetology and her work is horrible. I got home and showed my husband and he was also distraught. The nail color is so clumpy, like clay on top of my fingers, bumpy and just look horrid. He said it looks like a child did my nails! I will never come back here.... thanks for the horrible experience. This place and this lady made me just miss my regular nail technician so much more! Sorry for the runon paragraphs and messy message, but I'M BEYOND UPSET AND I JUST WANT TO RELEASE MY ANGER ABOUT THIS PLACE. read more
