You don't have to be in Chicago to get Giordanos - and I was happy about that! While walking in downtown Indy to explore, out of the corner of my eye I thought I had seen the orange writing and had to go closer to find out that I indeed did! I was super excited and of course we went in to have dinner. We were seated immediately and in front of a TV for football. Our server was great, friendly, and very attentive. We ordered their garlic bread with dipping sauce, a pizza to share, a few beers and a soda. All came out in a timely manner, hot, fresh and cold if need be. We did have leftovers so they boxed it up for the drive home and gave us drinks to go without us even asking. What a great ending to our visit in Indy! read more

Pizza is life, even if it takes 45 minutes to bake. I've been to this location twice and have always had excellent customer service. I enjoy having a taste of Chicago right here in Indianapolis (even though it may be at Chicago prices). I would also say that they have pretty decent gluten-free pizza crust compared to other locations in Indy. read more

My favorite place for pizza and cheesy bread downtown! I also love their Greek salad. The service is always spectacular when I visit! Staff is always friendly as well. Definitely recommend :) read more

We visited on Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving. As we entered, we were greeted very enthusiastically, which was a good start. We sat at the bar. It was not busy at all. My companion had a margarita, and I ordred a Pepsi. My companion said the margarita was just ok and not very strong, so I ordered a rum straight. It was served in a highball like glass, but it was a skimpy serving. Considering all they had available was Captian Morgan, I didn't feel the brand nor the serving size warranted the $8 price. I just don't feel the bar offers many options nor good quality for the price. The bartender was friendly but didn't seem to have a sense of urgency in getting our orders. As a matter of fact, a couple came in 10 or 15 minutes after us, and somehow, we got our pizzas at the same time. Our pizza was ok, but it wasn't hot. It was just warm, so that made me wonder. We know that it takes 45 minutes for the pizza, but it still took even longer than that just to get a pizza that was warm. We were there in total for an hour and 45 minutes, and they weren't busy at all. Overall, there is just something about the Indy Giordano locations that don't measure up to the quality of the Chicago locations. read more

This pizza is fabulous! I loved the flaky, ungreasy crust and the layers of cheese We got the Chicago Special with sausage, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Our waiter, Noah, went above and beyond to be kind and helpful. I would recommend skipping the cannoli here. The cream filling was lumpy and barely sweet---not even an average dessert. Stick with the deep dish pizza and you can't go wrong! read more

We had their meaty pizza it was pretty tasty. I also got a Caesar salad and I thought it was very fresh. My husband wasn't that impressed with the food not sure why, it was very delicious to me. Would definitely order again. read more

As being a former Chicago resident I was happy that Giordano's head finally made its way to Naptown. I have been extremely disappointed in this location and the north location so much that I will never go back to either. We arrived on Sat for dinner and were asked to sit in the bar since we were both over 21. Since we knew how long it would take for our pizza (45 min) we were ready to order soon as we sat down. Long story short, after waiting for the bartender to take our order, heck even bring us water, after 25 min. we finally left. This was completely inexcusable. The bartender would walk past us, but was sure to have her back to us and ignored us trying to get her attention. We weren't the only ones, she didn't take anyone's orders who sat at the bar the entire time we were there. When we went to the hostess stand no one was there except for a line of customers. The Indy locations really need to adopt the practices that the Chicago restaurants where they take your order at the hostess stand so there is less time waiting when you sit down. As I stated earlier my review, I won't be back to either of the Indy locations. I guess I will have to continue to get my fix when I go back to Chicago. read more

Came here for the 1st time. Very doubtful we will be back. We are local to Indy and used to travel to Chicago for this Pizza. Our food was burnt and the sauce was removed from 3 pieces of the pizza due to over cooking. Very displeased and was never given the option to talk to a manager. read more

Giordano's - Our burnt Pizza. Very disappointed - Pizza Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

***Credit card fraud**** Be careful ordering online When we went to this location or server was great and the staff was friendly. However when we got our pizza (deep dish) it was cold in the middle. Like fridge cold. I though it was strange as I always assumed the pizza was freshly made? Besides that my husband and I had a lovely time and the staff is fantastic... But the reason my husband and I are dissatisfied is because after ordering the pizza online a couple hours later, there was another charge for .27 cents from Giordano's and then several other fraudulent charges! Luckily, Chase blocked those transactions and the only one to go through was the small additional Giordano's charge. Thank you Chase but, we were still without a working debit card for 2 days and we had several automatic bill payments not go through because of this. We never got our .27 cents back or received follow up from corporate as promised. And though .27 cents isn't a lot, it's the principle. read more

We tried Giordano's Pizza in Greenwood for the first time today (Saturday 29 Aug 2020)We we're excited to try a deep dish pizza. After receiving the pizza, the excitement quickly went away. Never in our lives have we been served food content that was as greasy as this pizza. The grease had absolutely saturated all the ingredients of this pizza. It was do bad that the bottom crust never baked and had the consistency of a wet noodle. Horrible pizza and a huge disappointment. Never again for Giordano's. Got to be much better deep dish out there. read more

Let me start out by saying, Giordanos has the best pizza in America. With that said, the staff here, are horrible. Waiting 45 minute for them to cook the pizza, is expected. What's not expected, nor acceptable, is tolerating the cussing, mad laughter, off-key singing, and school yard behavior of the crew. It was like a madhouse. Imagine for me a greyhound bus, full of misfits that have all been recently fired by Hardee's, so they all went out got neck tattoos, abused some bad chemicals, then showed up for work at this place. Then they cranked the worst music they could find on Earth, and paid more attention to each other's moronic weekend stories than the customers they were hired to serve... That is about what it is like. I've read that they tried to expand once before, maybe in the 70's? No idea why they failed then, but I can ABSOLUTELY guarantee you they will fail again this time with staff selection & training like this. Look for the doors to be closing soon. But the pie? Delicious as always. read more

I walked in , no greetings from hostess. Sat at bar for 7 minutes before someone asked if I'd been helped. She took my beer order. Then advised me it would take 45 min for food if I ordered Deep dish. Finished my beer waited 5 minutes before I was offered a refill. Had to get my own silverware( while talking to a manager). Terrible Service. I only went their because of a great beer they has on tap. Astro dwarf that was the only highlight. I won't got back unless just for a beer. read more

This was my second time visiting Giordano's and first time at this Indy location. We didn't want to wait for a table so we sat down at the bar to eat. We made friends with some fellow diners and waited... waited... and waited. The bar was full when we arrived, but cleared out soon after sitting. The server finally noticed we were sitting at the bar and unenthusiastically asked if we wanted menus. Several minutes later we received water and several minutes after that we finally ordered. An HOUR later, we received our two 6" deep dish pizzas... to go. While waiting, I noticed that the server seemed distracted by the computer, filled her own drink (while ours remained empty), heard several explicative words from our server, heard our server say she doesn't want to serve one more table, heard server cursing while interacting with other diners, saw staff just standing around and several other diners trying to practice patience. Pizza is good, but won't be returning to this location. My wife and I were really disappointed. read more

Let me first start by saying I'm a Chicago girl. I grew up near the city and eating Giordanos for dinner was like eating subway. It wasn't anything special, until I moved to Indianapolis and I lost one of my favorite pizza place. So I was beyond excited when I learned they would be opening a Giordanos in Downtown Indianapolis, just minutes from my job. I order a small stuffed cheese pizza and it was delicious. The gooey cheese and the thick crust reminds me of home but in a good way. I love thick crust and this was definitely what I have been missing. I would be lying if I said it was as good as back home, but it's definitely a close second. I had my order delivered to my job and it took about 45 minutes, but considering it was lunch time, I didn't think that was too bad. The delivery person was extremely nice and friendly and my order arrived hot and everything was correct. Would I be ordering from here again, UMM YEAH!!!! Now I don't have to drive three hours north just for some decent pizza. Thank you read more

Ya', the food here is amazing. Top notch Chicago style Pizza. I won't bore with details. But ya' service was slow so 4 stars, really 4 1/2. I would have waited longer because the pizza is that good. Seriously. It also reheats well, which is rare for pizza. read more

I was so excited when they brought the first Giordanos location to Indy and love that they put one downtown. I often order from the 82nd street location. Recently I went to done in at the downtown location and had a great experience. Surprisingly there was no wait (I'm used to it being busy). We were able to get seated right away and ordered our favorite thin crust sausage and pepperoni pizza. Service was great. Always my favorite pizza. Chicago style pizza is the best so I'm glad to be able to have it here in Indy. read more

The long wait was worth it! We ordered the Bruschetta which was very good and over flowing with tomatoes. Our pizza was great as well. The waitress made our whole experience enjoyable! She even paid for my fathers 2nd glass of wine (little did she know my dad just found out his father has stage 4 cancer) so what a awesome experience! read more

My coworkers and I finally tried this place for lunch to expand our pizza taste buds. We've heard great reviews but finally had it delivered today. Wow, I've never liked deep dish before but this is on a whole other level! I had 1.5 pieces of the pie and am STUFFED!! The cheese is just like in the photos when you pull out your piece. I will definitely go and sit in the next time to check out the atmosphere. read more

We visited on a Saturday evening. There was no wait time, and we were able to sit outside and watch people and a bike race. Added bonus! Our waiter was great. He gave us suggestions and warned us on the wait for deep dish. We ordered the sampler appetizer. The fried mushrooms were probably the best I have heard had. Our deep dish meats and more pizza was just what we imagined. It's a little pricey but totally worth every penny. read more

Service was terrible. First of all, when we walked in, there was no one to greet us. We waited. And waited. Finally my husband found someone and asked to be seated. The girl looked completely confused/indifferent. She was about to walk us to a table when another party spoke up and said they were ahead of us. It was hard to tell since the place was chaotic. So she seated them, and came back about 5 minutes later to seat us. WTH? FINALLY seated, and we waited another 6 minutes for our waiter. He told us pizza was taking an hour or so, but we opted to wait anyway. In that time, which ultimately ended up being 1.5 hours, my iced tea was only refilled once, and our waiter was nowhere to be found. Once we finally got pizza, he was all over us (I assume because he wanted us to pay so he could leave). Pizza was good but not great. The place was super loud. Everything appeared to be in shambles. Will not return. read more

Tried eating here tonight, but exhausted myself waiting on a glass of wine and water; much less my meal. In a word: Slow. Maybe you are different than me, but not waiting for chain food. Got up and left before any silverware, water or wine made it to the table. read more

Omg So Good! We got caught in a crazy rain storm and we got off course to where we were going to dinner. I'm so glad the service and food was amazing. We had Daryl as a server and he was very attentive. We had the garlic cheesy bread and the marinara sauce was amazing. It tasted homemade and fresh. My son loved it and made tons of nom nom noises! I also had the minestrone soup and it was delicious, again it tasted so fresh the veggies and everything was so good. My 1 year old cookie monster loved it as well and he dipped all of my crackers and ate all of them. For our entree, our group shared a Chicago style veggie pizza. It was delicious and it was full of veggies even more than expected it had spinach, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and broccoli. It was perfect because I was able to sneak a few veggies into my son's pizza euphoria. This place was great. If you're visiting this amazing city ... check it out! read more

Oh my! What isn't to love?? This pizza place was a delight from the minute I walked in! The house Cabernet was delish! It was smooth and perfectly heavy and was served at just the right temp! Started off with the calamari which was fantastic! Chunks of veggies and calamari lightly fried, served with fresh lemon wedge and a tasty house made marinara...I could have eaten it all day! I will never as long as I live, eat giordanos and not get the calamari as my app! It was that good! The chopped salad was insane! It may sound like a lot to have chicken in your salad before you order a monster pizza, but the chicken is diced so small you won't even notice the extra protein, it just blends in perfectly. Cold peas that pop in your mouth, not too strong blue cheese, pasta, scallions and a honey mustard vinaigrette with little bits of crisp bacon!?! Oh man, this was no sissy salad! But alas, you come here for CHICAGO PIZZA, BABY!! And it does not disappoint. The sausage is made exclusively for G's by Greco and Sons, if you are a sausage fan you absolutely must have the sausage on your pizza. Those guys know how to make a meat! Cheesy, hot, salty layered high and lying is a thick crust that is surprisingly light and crisp. The Special Pizza has sausage mushrooms green peppers and onions, but you can have them add extras too, to create your own, cuz obviously it needs pepperonis, too! If you get lucky enough to have Angie or Stephanie as your bartenders/servers, then basically your night is made! read more

Ordered a delivery of three personal pizzas. They only deliver inside the highway lines. Originally wanted it to be delivered to a home just two blocks north of the highway lines but they wouldn't do it. Seems odd since 1. It's covid and people shouldn't be eating out as regularly 2. It's famously known pizza and they should want to the business. Regardless the pizzas were fine. Probably better to buy a large size instead of the personal pies. read more

It's been a month and a half since I wrote my 2 star review of Giordano's, downtown Indy, see below. I'd received a response via Yelp from 'Ana P' from Giordano's requesting I send her an email, which I have, twice. I haven't heard a word. I'm not expecting anything, other than providing clarity regarding my feedback..... I've eaten at Giordano's on Belmont in Chicago; great pizza, so-so service. Decided to try carry out to my daughter's house on the near north side in Indy. Good news, the pizza arrived a few minutes early (vs the online time estimate) via bike. I'd rate the pizza OK (thin crust bacon + mushrooms) at best. Adequate cheese, not enough toppings to over impress this customer. Also, the bacon was lower quality (take it from a former meat salesman!), fatty without much lean, leading to a greasy not favorable topside. So, increase the topping quantity AND improve your bacon quality please! read more

My waitress Sarah got one of my six request right. Ordered Pinot Noir received Pino G? Asked for water no ice, got ice water. Ordered thin crust personal pizza got thick crust. Ordered house salad with lemon dressing , got Cesar salad. Although I ordered thin crust sausage pizza ... I did get a little sausage in my thick crust, so she got the sausage correct. She never came by to check on me. I left 80% of the crust on the table as I left. The irony is there were two Italian places next to each other, I guess I selected wrong restaurant. If I come back to Indianapolis I'll walk by this one. read more

Rude rude rude .. from the time I walked in until I left. Food was average at best. Customer service was awful

Service was awful. Came in with a large group, even called ahead to warn them. One server glared at us and basically refused to serve us! Seriously mgmt from previous reviews you need to do something. Food not bad, pizza was good, but would never go back nor suggest anyone go there. Took 2 hours. No one came to explain why our girls did not get there food until someone from the group asked. Then they said 15 more min. They already waited over an hour. Parents got pizza first they all had spaghetti. Girls were so hungry we had to start giving them our food. Not sure what happened, but not run well from top to bottom. No one coming by with apologies or explanations. You would be surprised how forgiving people will be with a little communication. On a good note the server that stuck with us did ok, but again had to be by herself so she struggled....not to blame. read more

If you have never had a deep dish Chicago pizza this is the place to go. It was delicious. We arrived just about 1 pm and it was still busy with a lunch crowd. Our group of 7 had a 10 minute wait which was not bad. Our server Jayden was very attentive. Their menu had 3 types of pizza. Chicago style, thin crust or extra thin crust. We decided the Chicago was the best choice. 3 of us split a small which is 6 slices and plenty for each. If you are limited on time it takes about 45 minutes for the deep dish! Beer selection was good. No room for dessert. Would definitely recommend. read more

I was so excited to see this restaurant go up across from my building. There is so much I like about this style and design of this place. Honestly I want this to be my new favorite lunch or after work spot. However, the food was okay, the wait between ordering/getting the food/getting the check was well over 1.5 for lunch combos, and everyone's order in my party was messed up. The waiter was so frustrated and blamed the kitchen, said it had been crazy all day back there. The manager ended up taking 50% off our entire bill. Overall, I'm glad that I was surrounded by good company because the dining experience was slightly terrible. I do plan on trying it again someday after the kinks are worked out. Fingers crossed for improvements! 6/17 I tried again and I just can't do it. My coworker's sister used to live in Chicago and now lives in Texas. She's in town for a visit and heard that this place was opening. Of course she wanted it remembering all those good times with Chicago style pizza in Chicago. I tried to be smart and call ahead and order us a pizza. Well apparently you can't call ahead anymore and must walk in and preorder it. Fine it's only a block what the heck. We do it and wait for her mother and sister to meet us downtown. We were told 45 minutes so we all show up 45 minutes later. Silly me expecting to give our slip to the waiter and have a hot, delicious pizza brought out quickly. NOPE! We then waited another 45 minutes at the table. We finally asked about it and they brought us out our now COLD pizza:-(. I get it, new restaurant kinks. Maybe I'll try again in 2017. read more

The service is EXTREMELY slow. It takes 45 min to make their deep dish pizza, which is fine, but it took 30min for them to bring us a salad.
