Fantastic meal! Excellent service. Chill atmosphere. Grow salad made me feel healthy before the pappardelle with short rib which I highly recommend. Best upscale Italian downtown.

I'm glad I was able to visit Nesso with a larger group (8), to celebrate a birthday. This way we were able to try so many different things! Everything was del looks. We tried most of the appetizers. They were all so good! I highly recommend the burrata, the focaccia bread, and the cauliflower! I had the gnocchi, which was probably the best I've had! Much of our group tried the bolognese and loved it! Service was amazing too! Our server was very attentive and helpful when deciding when and appetizer portions! The space is beautiful. Parking isn't ideal, but they are by City Way and downtown, so tricky parking is nothing new. You can find close parking if you are willing to pay and there's also valet parking available.

Honestly not impressed with anything I had other than the drink. Nero started off as 10/10 and quickly faded to a mess of over powering seasoning. This became find the chopped octopus and single diced shrimp amongst the pasta.Tiramisu was so soft, you'd be better off getting the custard. Disappointing for sure because it looks amazing.

Work's been running me through the wringerbut I always make time for the important things. This past weekend's dinner date was at @nessoindy -- and it did not disappoint! The ambiance, the food... my taste buds were doing the Tamia Shuffle . And the best part was I had a @crgrestaurants gift card! Definitely spinning the block on this! Go and ask for Miles, he was the best.

You can never go wrong with a Cunningham restaurant and Nesso really proved that for us. It was my husband's 30th birthday dinner celebration and it was wonderful. The couple next to us were celebrating their 42 year anniversary and were given some free champagne and dessert wine from the restaurant. Nesso was next on our list of Cunningham Group restaurants that we hadn't tried yet, and they're all so amazing I still don't think I can choose a favorite. The cocktails were refreshing, the focaccia was savory (we saved a bite to dip into our pasta sauce, pro tip from our server at Vida), and the octopus was prepared wonderfully. We got a pasta to share and we joked about how we could order three bowls and be completely content for the night. I am a savory and salty lover so the pasta sauce really impressed me with the rich flavor. The entrees were amazing, and our server gave us recommendations for wine pairings to go with. The desserts were outstanding. I totally recommend getting the trio if you're a sweet treat lover like us. We loved how lowkey and personal the restaurant felt inside. We can't wait to go back!

Absolutely amazed by this place. Great food, impeccable service in a beautiful, modern space. I should have tried this sooner! I had dinner with a friend here. They take reservations on OpenTable. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, and she helped us by answering all of our questions about menu with a smile. The meatball. This was great. Probably one of the best I've had in Indy. The portion is generous and the sauce was very rich. I read many good reviews about their bread so we had to order some. It was warm, fluffy and baked to perfection. We got two, but one order would have been just enough for two people. I ordered Bolognese tagliatelle. I thought the pasta was overcooked because it had mushy texture, and I know it was not how it was supposed to be. Mushy and they were stuck together almost. However, the bolognese sauce was so great, it literally saved the dish. (This is the reason for the missing star) We didn't have any room for dessert but I'm sure they are good too. I will come back 100%.

Nesso (a Cunningham owned restaurant) is located on the lower level of the Alexander Hotel. It's a modern decorated Italian restaurant that has a limited menu that packs a punch. We started with a couple of apps - the homemade bread with oil and balsamic vinegar and the meatball (it's one big meatball) followed by Caesar salads. For our dishes, I went with the Orecchiette - which was the perfect amount of spice and al dente. My husband had the Tagliatelle - which was very rustic and hearty. We finished it off with homemade gelato which was incredible!

Top-notch special occasion spot! I visited here for the first time for my birthday this fall and had a wonderful experience. Parking nearby wasn't too difficult with a garage connected to the restaurant and hotel. Service was friendly and since I noted a birthday in my online reservation, they brought a complimentary dessert! The burrata appetizer was a highlight, dessert was amazing, and we were happy with our entrees. The interior is beautiful and not too crowded when we arrived, although it filled up by the time we left.

I decided to treat myself to a new Devour Indy restaurant and Nesso had some of the most unique options for my pescatarian self. I started with the parmesean cauliflower, which is way more tasty (and visually beautiful) than you'd think. For my entree I ordered the fjord trout. The outside of the trout filet was crispy while the middle was juicy and had tons of flavor. Flavor wise, it was similar to salmon. My favorite part was the dessert - my first time trying panna cotta! The panna cotta was presented in a nectar-y pear sauce that wasn't overly sweet. It was the perfect way to end my dining experience.

Ambiance was 10000000%. Won't lie, we definitely came here for the ambience, and stayed for the food! Got some appetizers for the table - focaccia, burrata, and meatballs. All were really good - perfect to share with the table and all delicious. Salmon was perfectly cooked and every little element on the plate melted together really well. Service was great as well. Food came super quick and we had wonderful waiters. Definitely would be back if I was in town!

Another great place by the Cunningham group, this is a stylish Italian place, in downtown Indy, I met a friend here for devour and it was a great experience! I decided to get the devour menu with the wine paring that complemented each course well, I started with an Appérol spritz, then had a delicious Cesar salad, clam linguini, and tiramisu for desert, it was all delicious and the service great! Definitely check this place out if you haven't been

My Fiancé and I were visiting the Indianapolis area and decided to visit Nesso after seeing its positive Yelp reviews. We unfortunately had a mediocre experience. We made an Open Table reservation for a Friday at 5pm. We were the first group to arrive to the restaurant yet the hostess brought us to a secluded table next to the restrooms and server counter. We asked to be moved and thankfully they were able to accommodate. After reviewing the menus, I ordered a French Martini and was later told they did not have pineapple juice so I switched to a Cosmo. We started with the Meatball and Bread starters followed by the Gnocchi and Orecchiette pastas for entrees. The meatballs were quite dense but had a food amount of red sauce to accompany them. The Gnocchi pasta came out with minimal black truffle shavings and a very small portion in comparison to the bowl it came in. The Orecchiette was not quite the pasta shape we expected and overall flavor was more spiced and chili forward (a comfortable heat). We ended with the Bombolino, a recommendation from our server. It was small in portion but had a good, bright flavor. Our server was great and on top of checking in on us and refilling waters. However, the rest of the staff was congregating in the open dining room and talking loudly to each other which was distracting. The restaurant was nicely designed! Though the food was good, nothing blew us away and the customer service/hospitality was lacking; we left feeling underwhelmed.

Short Rib
Elle E.

Excellent menu with so many shareable starters, like the burrata (yummy) and fritto misto. I was surprised when one person from our party asked the server to check with the kitchen if they could make him a caprese salad and when the other salads came out he was told it wouldn't be possible. A caprese is pretty simple and the ingredients were part of other dishes on the menu, so that seemed a bit strange. The short rib entree was the winning dish at our table...generous portion and served on top of perfectly prepared and flavored polenta that had a hint of lemon to brighten it up.

Is nesso kid friendly?

Actually yes, we take our 6 year old regularly and they cater to him very well. I've seen multiple kids and they will make things like buttered noodles for the kiddos as needed.

The entrees (the monkfish special and the carbonara) were good but not great. I did appreciate the crispy, smoky pancetta in the carbonara but the monkfish had a somewhat mushy texture rather than the he firmness we would normally expect. The biggest issue, though, was the check. The calamari never came off, the meatballs for the children's pasta were more expensive than what was on the menu, and we were charged for an extra calamari dipping sauce that we did not ask for. Most of these problems were fixed but the whole thing illustrated a lack of attention to detail and an appearance of up-charging the customer in any way possible. Overall: Food: fair 4/5 Service: decent 3.5/5 Pricing: suspicious 2/5

I wish we could have taken some home, but we're going to a show after. Brussel sprouts were to die for.... So good. Love the glaze they put on them. Again, I think we could have been fine with just our entrees and salads, but all the food we tried was so delicious - I am really glad we did. We may not make it back as often as I would like, but we love the ambiance, service, and food. This is a special place for us and we hope to share it with others.

Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the rest of the experience. From the very beginning, our waiter came across as disengaged and uninterested. When he first approached the table, he literally tossed straws onto the table with no greeting or acknowledgment. For a split second, it felt like we were at Dick's Last Resort--except without the humor. While he did take our drink orders, there was a noticeable delay, and when he returned, he only brought waters and soft drinks without any communication about the rest. The interactions throughout the night felt rushed and inattentive. When taking our appetizer order, he moved on to another table immediately without checking if we needed anything else. Later, he briefly returned, pointed, and said "this?" to confirm the order, then left again. One positive note--he memorized all of our orders without writing anything down, and everything came out correctly. That was genuinely impressive. I understand that service jobs can be mentally taxing, and I truly empathize with that. We were also a party of seven and requested multiple checks (4-5), which I recognize can be more complex and time-consuming. That said, the overall lack of attentiveness and professionalism was still disappointing, especially for a special occasion. With food and atmosphere this strong, the service should match.

Our waitress was kind and attentive, all items were delivered quickly. We ordered the lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, and a chicken Alfredo with mushrooms for my husband. The lasagna was delicious! The sausage was excellent inside of it and the noodles were al dente. The fettuccine Alfredo was oh Lordy, good!! Very buttery creamy and decadent. My husband loved the chicken on his Alfredo, he said the flavors were great. We were offered dessert to go after the meal. That was so nice as we were stuffed! The ice cream was delicious! Pricing for 3 people for 3 course meal was 77 plus a tip. I would recommend this really neat restaurant for families, parties or date night, and will definitely return!

As my slice was being heated in the oven, I had the opportunity to look around as well as admire the pictures near the entrance, which featured memorable sporting moments as well as some with the owner. Giorgio's has an acceptable number of tables with seats in the dining area to give you a chance to enjoy your meal onsite while it is hot and fresh. Prior to tasting my white slice, I could not resist smirking, as I smelt its garlicky smell and glanced at it in my lap which prompted my mouth to salivate. It had a slightly crunchy, yet satisfying taste. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a slice of pizza that will surely leave you satisfied in that moment. The lobster roll was soggy and honestly? Too much. I prefer a classic lobster roll - warm, lobster, bread that still has a little crunch to it (just the tiniest bit), butter - but not too much. This was soggy and the celery situation took away from the essence of a lobster roll for me. I've never liked the lobster salad rolls, and I did make sure there would be no mayo - but I think this was a bit much. Too much butter. Too many toppings. The flavor wasn't amazing. My dad really liked the perch. So much that he didn't let me try it. Lol but it looked good! The fried okra was solid. Kinda hard to mess that up, so no complaints there. Same thing with the fish tacos as the lobster roll. They're very busy. I like tasting my food - not piling the toppings on so things get lost. So, I scraped pretty much everything off. The fish was good! I got my mom the fried oysters. No complaints. Her meal came with two sides, so I got greens and Mac and cheese. I didnt try the Mac, but they said the greens were top tier. They had a nice flavor, but they're spicy - so avoid them if you can't deal with a lot of spice - probably red pepper. They threw in a crab cake for free and I thought that was really sweet of them. I didn't like the way it looked on the inside, so I only nibbled at it. Definitely not what this Maryland girl is used to... the winner is still Commisson Row on crab cakes in Indy so far. Anyway! Cute little tucked away spot, small parking lot, but spacious inside. Quite a few tables and chairs and fresh seafood in the cases. I'd go again and try some different things based on other reviews.
