Chicago, deep dish sausage and mushroom
Todd K.

Not bad. I prefer New York style or tavern style to Chicago deep dish, but this got the job done. A little underdone is probably my only complaint.

Mama's Meatball Sub and side house salad. Both are great!

Good food and usually easy to set a seat for one at the bar. Lemon vinaigrette on the house salad is refreshing.

Came here for a later dinner recently to enjoy some Chicago deep dish. I honestly had no idea there was anywhere in Indy to get it! Our service was appropriately paced for the time it takes to make a Chicago deep dish pizza. I liked the TVs they had in the center of our dining area, which had some pre-season football coverage. The booths have taller partitions so it feels more intimate. I also liked the marquee saying "EAT PIZZA". I will certainly follow instructions there! The pizza we got was "The Special": sausage, green pepper, onion, and mushroom. I thought the pizza was fine, my only thing about Chicago style is that the vegetables can't caramelize like they would on a regular pizza. But that's just a personal opinion. I am pleased with the range of mocktail offerings, which are all $7.

The staff were really friendly from start to finish. We got the family sized Caesar salad to share and 2 medium pizzas for a party of 5. The food was all great and more than enough for our group. Great location to eat in downtown Indy.

Pizza and cheese garlic bread was on point. Our salad was not great at all. You'd expect a fresh cold Cesar salad but it tasted warm and soggy. No crunch on the salad at all. Our server was very good! She was attentive to our party.

This place is my group's go-to place on Day 0 for PRI and it's honestly the BEST pizza ever. I'm from California and ever since I got my hands on a slice of Giordano's signature famous deep dish pizza, it was over. No pizza place from my home state can't compare so Giordano's is always something to look forward to during our 4 day visit. Meat and more meat! This was our table's pizza that was split between 4 people. Honestly can't complain, I love all of their pizza but since we only visit once a year, we always order deep dish style. Never fails and always leaves us full! Carnivore? Then you should definitely order this dish! Make sure it's the biggest one too! Calabrian Chili Honey Chicken Wings Ok so I can't be entirely biased with Giordano's. We wanted to try this out since it was a limited chicken wing flavor and honestly it wasn't the best. I mean it's a pizza joint? They specialize in pizza but we were so hungry that we figured to try it out. Hey, if you love chicken wings or just an enthusiast for wings in general, by all means give this one a shot if it's still available! Overall Always excited to come to Indiana cause I KNOW I'll be eating some damn good pizza. Deep dish style isn't for everyone which is nice that they have their Tavern Style and Thin Crust Pizzas. But since Giordano's specializes in deep dish pizza, it's highly recommended to order deep dish style! can't wait to visit again next year and see what new pizza they'll have! And can't forget about the awesome servers doing their best on those busy convention nights! Y'all the real MVP's! Ambiance is warm and inviting with a bit of high noise since it's also got a bar but it never phases me, if anything it's relaxing since I know I'll be indulging into pizza goodness. Just remember to come hungry and you'll guaranteed to leave happy! See you next year Giordano's!

Went here for dinner. This place is cool. They have tvs so you can watch sports. They have plenty of seating. Our waitress was great. She got our drinks and put our pizza order in quickly. The pizza was delicious. We had fabulous pizza and service!

Greek Salad & Calabrian Chili Honey Wings

My 5 Takeaways (in under 60 seconds) Location: Prime location in downtown Indy near stores and things to do. Street parking and nearby parking garages are available. Vibe: Family-friendly, relaxed, and comfortable atmosphere. The décor and layout are really nice. Service: Overall, the customer service isn't the best but isn't the worst. It could use some improvements, but nothing major. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and warm. Food: Really good deep-dish pizza! BIG portions, standout flavors, and superior ingredients. I recommend the Double Pepperoni - you won't be disappointed! Quick Tip: Don't sleep on their sides! The Greek Salad and Calabrian Chili Honey Wings are both top tier!

We have not been to an authentic Chicago style pizzeria. We found Giordano's. We sat in the bar area with a view of the kitchen. Having worked at a pizza restaurant before I was blown away by the three people making the pizzas and the cleanliness of the entire kitchen. Totally organized. The pizza was very good. Will definetly have one again.

Build your own sausage, onion, mushroom, extra cheese

We aren't crazy about the deep dish they are known for. We ordered the thin crust which was not super thin kind of a cross with hand tossed - perfect. The servers are very attentive. We would go back!

Individual deep dish with mushroom, garlic, pepperoni. Delivered, and unfortunately not super warm.

I LOVE Giordano's - it's my favorite Chicago-style pizza - and I'm in town for work this week. My husband told me there's a location 1/4 of a mile from my hotel, so I decided to get delivery tonight. They are not on Doordash - they have their own system, and there is a $1 delivery fee, $3 driver fee, and then tip on top of that. I ordered bruschetta for an appetizer and an individual pizza with garlic, mushroom, and pepperoni. It said on their website it would take about 50 minutes to an hour, so I made sure to order it as I was leaving a work event. 60 minutes came and went, then 70, so I called the restaurant to check on the order. It turned out the driver had left my meal with the front desk. (This was partially my fault - it turns out cell reception isn't great in my room at this hotel, it turned out the driver DID text me, saying "downstairs with your order," but I didn't receive it until 8:25pm ... I ordered around 6:50pm and the order was supposed to be ready 7:50-8:00pm) Because of this, I didn't get my food until 8:10-8:20 or so, and unfortunately the pizza was barely warm. My hotel thankfully has a microwave so I microwaved it a little bit, but even before that, the crust was kinda soggy, as was the bruschetta - even though I appreciate them putting the tomatoes on the side, so that the whole thing wasn't soggy. All of this with tip was about $36 btw, and if I didn't have a work expense account I'd be even more disappointed than I currently am. Oddly enough, the bruschetta was better than the pizza, maybe because the tomatoes were put on the side. The pizza was still tasty but the cheese and the crust was lukewarm at best.

The best pizza in Indiana hands down. There is no pizza like New York pizza. Giordano's makes me feel at home!!

Small thin

Ordered via Uber Eats. I ordered a small thin that was way under cooked. Total was $49 with a taxes and fees. Took two bites and went straight into the garbage! Terrribke.

This had all of the flavor we expected with a hip location. The crust was so expertly made to support the hefty pie, it was perfection.

I was nervous to go to such a nice place with my luggage in hand and dressed a bit casually, but from the moment I walked in, they were the warmest staff ever. First, they checked my bags for me so that I didn't have to keep them at my table. Then they gave me the front section of the restaurant to myself so that I could have some quiet and go at my own pace. They also gave me the world's best server, Tayla, who went above and beyond every step of the way. She put up with all of my particular tendencies and made sure I had everything I needed, down to my individually wrapped straw, and helped me balance the heaviness of the meal I was about to partake in. When I ordered the rigatoni, I even asked her exactly how many ounces of sausage came with it. When she told me it was three ounces, I explained that I needed a minimum of six ounces of protein with my meal. Without missing a beat, she helped me augment my dinner by adding a six-ounce chicken breast. Not only did that give me exactly what I needed that evening, but it left me with a fully prepared meal for the following day--which was especially appreciated since I was staying in a city that didn't have quite as many snazzy food options. I was so impressed by her service that I made a point of speaking to Jay, one of the managers. I told him how they had completely turned my day around and that I was so impressed by the thoughtfulness of both the food and the staff that I would be certain to return. He sat down and spoke with me for some time and even asked me to try a new mocktail they're working on that was made with something called "brush." I had never heard of it, but not only did he educate me on the topic, he made me a fan of something totally new. Then, when he learned that I had stopped by CVS to pick up iced coffee for the following morning, only to discover that they were closed, he went out of his way to send me off with espresso shots in a to-go cup so that I wouldn't have to scramble the next morning to find coffee. So incredibly considerate! It was an especially meaningful gesture because I was heading to a city where the coffee shops didn't open early enough for me to get what I needed and still be conference-ready. 10 out of 10. Everyone must visit Nesso!

What a perfect excuse to go back and verify that my first experience was no fluke! They impressed again with what could be the best calamari fritti I have ever had. The calamari itself was melt in your mouth tender and the breading was both light and flavorful. The lemon herb aioli? On point! The first time I ate there, I ordered the branzino - which was amazing. Tender, flaky, and mild with the perfect crispiness in the exterior. Everyone who ordered it on this second visit raved about it. For my second visit, I branched out to the carbonara which was as beautiful on the palate as it looked in the bowl. A perfect crunchiness of the pancetta counterbalanced the tenderness of the pasta which was prepared to a perfect al dente. I reviewed a carbonara from a different restaurant earlier this year and now have an apples to apples comparison that heavily favors Vicino. Service was outstanding despite being very busy that evening and the interior had a nice modern chic appearance - if that matters to you. What matters to me is the food and Vicino is now 2 for 2 in providing an experience that will definitely bring me back again!

The bottom was white, the top was burnt, the cooking wasn't even and the ingredients were nothing special. I requested to add vegetable toppings to the pizza or instead a 1/2 and 1/2 which the waitress said I could not do... I don't see why? Oh and 2 of our pizzas were sitting on the expo station under a lamp for 5 minutes until the 3rd was out, by the time it got to the table the cheese was hard and not melty. Makes no sense. Poor timing by the chef and subpar pizza overall. Also got the pesto chicken gnocchi, very oily but the flavor was good. Garlic fries were good, no comments there Overall, will not be back.
