We as a company ordered $300 or 9-10 pizza pies, salad, and plates. I asked for help with taking the pizzas out to my car and the staff refused to help unless there was a tip involved stating "I mean..... service isn't free." Furthermore, we get the 9-10 pizzas, which all have the sauce on top as it supposed to be, but none of them are labeled which is which? This will be the last time we order from Giordano's as a company. read more

Really loved the vibe I got from this place, but not the best pizza I've ever had. The pizza was really good, but the crust could've been much softer for me. Did not like the cocktails that I had though I didn't expect much not being a traditional bar. read more

Slow service, (we didn't order pizza so the wait on food wasn't bad, referring to the server being slow in refilling drinks etc). We ordered an appetizer that came out the same time as our food. side of fries was greasy. Boyfriends Chicken Alfredo tasted bland, watery and gritty. Overall not a great experience and we've had better experiences elsewhere at a lower price. Mediocre at best. Don wasn't a good server please request someone else if you can. maybe your experience will be better!! read more

The "small" pasta with meat sauce was really good and HUGE! I'll be eating it for breakfast too. The chicken parm was a little salty but over all yummy. I normally feel the chicken to breading ratio isn't right. But this was perfect. Not a huge fan of the pizza but maybe we are just thin crust people. It left more like a pizza lasagna. A lot too much cheese. But everything else was spot on read more

What is up with this place? I had a good pizza here 5 years ago. I ordered one this week and, believe it or not, it was NOT HOT in the middle? Pizza that's not hot? Are you warming up frozen pizzas? Sauce scanty, and cheese not fully melted. This is profit-taking from the name. Come on, get it together or give up. Have you ever actually had a real chicken parmesan? Because yours ain't it! At least get out and try the food that you are trying to simulate. Servers are too busy sweeping the floor to wait on me -- can you just do that after you close? typical downtown Indy. read more

I just moved to the city and was soooo excited to try out Giordano's once I found out that there was one here. The service was a bit slow and our waiter didn't make it back too often for refills on our drinks but the food was as good as everyone said it would be! We started out with the Artichoke Fritters which were tasty and then went half and half on a Deep Dish pizza. The pizza was amazing and I am a huge fan of cheese so I loved the long cheese pulls from each slice. We had some leftovers for the next day and they were still amazing! Definitely a must have if you are a fan Chicago style deep dish! read more

Service is terrible and so is the online ordering experience. The online order ticket doesn't even match what gets printed out of the register, so the order is consistently wrong. And then they get mad when you try to get the order corrected. I gave them chance after chance, but I'm done at this point. I even sent an email and left a vm to the manager. Apparently he doesn't care enough to even respond. The ratings reflects this attitude as it slipped an entire point from 4.5 in January 2019 to 3.5 in December 2019. It's too bad because it was my go to salad place. But guess what, there are LOTS of salad places downtown... read more

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here on a night out. We decided in craft beers from Metazoa, but not a huge selection. We sat in the bar and Our waitress, Angel, gave us a great recommendation of what to get and warned us how long our piazza would take. We decided to get the fries and deep dish pizza with pepperoni and sausage. The fries came out fairly fast. They were good and even better dipped in their ranch and dipped in more Parmesan. Our pizza came out and looked delicious, it was fabulous. We were cautious, but it was so very good! It was a great option for downtown dinning. read more

First of all, I would like to let everyone know that I don't normally write a review for I am not that expert like my fellow Yelpers are that's why I read reviews more than write. But I am compelled to share my BAD experience with this restaurant not because of their food but because how BAD the service was when my 2 boys (teenagers 15 and 17) visited back from Michigan (they were born and raised In Carmel IN). A lovely evening was ruin by an incompetent male waiter who was assigned out in the patio last night 08312019. Not only he did not return back after we requested silvers when took our appetizers out (my oldest have to grab next tables), it took him more than an hour to bring our small thin crust pizza out (he said that the deep dish takes 45 minutes that's why we opted for thin) and that is after I said something when he was passing by. He also forgot the sandwich that is included in the order that obviously was forgotten too. And when we ask for plates, the next table whom my son grabbed the silvers from asked for silvers while he was on the way, he outright said to all of us GIORDANO is running out of clean silvers and plates ! (GIORDANO, shame on a restaurant that runs out of clean silver and plates for your costumers will think now you have NOT SO CLEEAN silvers and plates for you will be rushing to have your LIMITED supplies per this waiter). Why 1 star, the MANAGER that night was a professional to asked me when I looked for him what he can do to make me feel better. I just said the WAITER you assigned in the patio already ruined a supposedly wonderful dinner with my boys and me, and I just don't want anyone else have the same experience later that night. He offered me not to pay the check, and even offered to box the hardly touch pizza. I told him we would just like to go our way and will leave the pizza, that I was planning to review the taste but did get a chance, and WILL NEVER get a chance for this restaurant sadly, because of poor staff like that WAITER, will eventually go down if they continue having a guy like him work for GIORDANO's of INDIANAPOLIS. read more

Got a small deep dish Chicago and it was GOOD! It does take a while to get your food- the place is busy and deep dish takes a little longer to cook. So beware if you're in a hurry. We were because we had a show to catch- we had time to shovel down one slice and run. The waiter noticed and offered to keep our pizza in the warmer so we could return after the show to pick it up. We came back and ended up eating our leftovers at the bar with beer. Great food and great service. read more

Had a horrible experience and will not be back. After taking over an hour for the pizza, it came out much thinner than it should and it comes no where near what a Chicago pan pizza from Giordano's should look and taste like. I was just in Chicago a couple of days prior and it took 40 minutes and the pizza was great. My family and friends have decided if we want Chicago pan pizza, head to the north side and skip the one downtown Indy. read more

I'm 100% biased to any Giordano's location that provides the same flavor and experience I'm used to growing up in Illinois. This location checked enough boxes to make me happy. The service was friendly and informative. The fried cheese curds were on point. The "meat and more meat" pizza was FANTASTIC. I don't plan to be in Indianapolis at this location ever again but if it's an option, Imma take it in a heartbeat. read more

Food may be good but the service is absolutely the worst. Waited for 10 minutes to be seated as waiters/waitresses walked by. Finally was told we would be seated in a minute and proceeded to watch the waitress talk to other people at the bar. Had to leave before even getting seated. Not a chance I give it another try. read more

My husband and I were downtown today and decided to give this a try. We love Lou Malnati's and Gino's in Chicago and miss having good deep dish options around Indy. Comparatively to the previously mentioned two, this will be a bit of a disappointment. The sauce is lacking flavor, and it almost seems like they're trying to make up for it with some extra seasoning in the sauce, but it doesn't quite hit the mark. Its not a chunky sauce, which is a positive. The bummer about Gino's is that I have to pick off big chunks of tomato. The crust was good and of a good consistency. We got the cheesy bread for an appetizer and I wouldn't get it again. It's comparative to something you'd make at home from the frozen food section of the grocery store. We were the first to be seated at lunch, just a bit after 11. The pizza came out and was not hot. It was warm, but as you would typically experience having to wait a minute or two for it to cool down, that was not the case. Pepsi products here (boo) but no Diet Mt Dew, so I got a water. All of that said, you're going to be limited in Indy for great deep dish. It certainly wasn't bad, but I think I'll wait until I can get back to IL for my next deep dish where there are some other options. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. read more

We got there and it was a 30 min wait (we had been traveling and hadn't eaten for 7hours) and we decided to wait. We got to out table and it took 15 min for the waitress to stop having a full conversation about her life with her friends at another table. She arrived and we ordered all of our items right away. After waiting 1.5 hours we asked for it to be put straight into a to go container as we still needed to get checked into our hotel. She said it would be 5 min. We waited 20 more min. We were paying for hourly parking so we had to pay for 3 hours. We finally got our pizza and it was warm but far from hot. We have not had Giordano's for 8 years and this place is far from a good representation for the company. read more

I lived in Chicago for a few years while I was in school so I knew going into the experience that Giordno's was not my favorite stuffed pizza. However, I decided to give it a go because its still terrific pizza. I ordered delivery and waited the usual amount of time. When ordering deep dish I always allow for about 20 minutes extra on everything that is estimated because it takes a while to cook and I get that so I was not bothered by the length of time it took for me to get my order. Unfortunately, the service was pretty terrible. The delivery guy arrived and had forgotten the app order that we had put in. It was not a huge deal and he was apologetic and said he would come back with the order. Thirty minutes later there was still nothing so I decided to call and just have them refund the money and take the app off my order. When I called I was put on hold for about 4 or 5 minutes before I hung up and had to call back. The person who answered the phone was not overly helpful and seemed disinterested in helping me out. This is what frustrated me the most since it was a simple mistake that could be fixed. She acknowledged my request but would not tell me if she was going to take it off and had to talk to her manager. I understand that they were busy and it is a newer store but at the end of the day it was a sub par experience. Just hoped for better on my first order from the store. Food is 4 stars. Service was 2 (and I am being generous). You won't be too dissappointed but should shoot for off hours most likely until they get the service end figured out. read more

We've eaten at the Chicago restaurants and this one was just as delicious (deep dish). We ordered the deep dish pepp pizza, fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli and chicken(this was okay) and wedge blue cheese salad (good). Where should I start! I guess I should've been weary when you walk in a restaurant with no waiting at 7 o'clock. But hey I know it's good in Chicago it's gotta be good here! Boy was I wrong. Those bumps on the log hostesses were delightful to say the least. Totally different experience from Chicago. Actually different in general. I was never asked if I've been here before. But hey when you spend $75 just by yourself. I guess my pizzas don't beer and wings where supposed to be good enough for me to keep coming back! But on the contrary I will never go back at least not to that downtown location. Maybe I'm just showing my age but customer service should bring you back to a business.Ooo I forgot all I had was water and a beer and needless to say my water was only filled up once! read more

I tried Giordano's in Chicago a few years ago and wasn't impressed, but my boys and I love pizza so much that we had to try it again when we came across this one in downtown Indianapolis. I'm so glad we gave it a second chance because it was fantastic this time around. We shared garlic cheese bread, which was seasoned to perfection...just the right amount of garlic, butter, and parmesian. That merely wet our appetites for the pizza we were about to devour. We each wanted different toppings, so we ordered half cheese and half Canadian bacon, ham, and banana peppers. OMG...it was fantastic! The flavors mixed perfectly: the saltiness of the bacon and ham, the light spice of the banana peppers, their amazing pizza sauce, and the pizza dough. Honestly I should have stopped at two pieces, but it was so good I stuffed myself with one and a half more slices. I can't wait to go back to Indy and stop in here again!!!! read more

I had a bad taste in my mouth with my first experience with Giordano's the first time I had ordered here. The food was out of this world but the delivery service was really bad, an hour late to say. When I had wrote my first review it had taken mgmt. awhile to get back in touch with me. After a couple of weeks and a few correspondences between myself and mgmt., I had decided to give them another try. For starters, I had the fried mozzarella triangles and they were amazing. They were so amazing that I ate all of them before I get a pic of them to post. I then had the Italiano salad which was by far the best salad I have had in a long while. For dinner I had eaten the Italian Beef sandwich with provolone cheese, oh my gosh, I was tasting mouth watering Italian beef, the perfect amount of cheese, sweet and spicy peppers all on a nicely toasted garlic Italian roll. After I finished my meal, I was ready to take a nap because I just ate the best Italian meal I have had in awile. The mgmt. staff personally delivered my meal in a very timely manner. His name is Brad and I can say that he was very accommodating. Brad had stepped above to get my order to me in a very timely manner and had taken the time to rectify the last time I had placed on order with them. So, if you want to have a wonderful time, great atmosphere with family and friends along with authentic Italian food, Giordano's is the place to go. Thanks Giordano's and Brad for an awesome experience. read more

Giordano's has pretty good pizza and the restaurant is nice overall. I've eaten in once and had delivery once. The pizza was better in the restaurant. The cheese pizza is heavy, but I thought it was good--not amazing (as my Chicago friends insisted it would be), but enjoyable. It's not among my go-to pizza places downtown, but it's not a bad option. read more

Bad pizza and slow service. We ordered a thin crust pizza (deep dish takes 40 minutes and we didn't want to wait that long), took 20 + minutes and arrived not fully cooked through. On a thin crust i don't even understand how that's possible. There was no real taste to the crust and the sauce was lackluster. The service, as others stated, is slow. They seem to not really care that you're there. read more

Food is always really good - it's Chicago classic pizza after all. But these guys need to figure out their timing and delivery response. We ordered online at 7:15, and they took our online payment and said delivery to our hotel by 8:28-8:38. Okay, give them some extra time for deep dish, and the crazy amount of young people in town for sporting events. But 8:45 rolls around, and I've heard nothing from them - neither phone or online. So I called. Not much explanation or sympathy - just a "well, we are busy, and I think your order went out 12 minutes ago." It arrived finally, at 9:10. So roughly two hours after ordering, amd about 30 minutes after it went out. And only blocks away. That's my fault for not going to get it. DON'T order delivery from these guys on weekend. It will be late, and tough toenails... read more

We were told that it would be an hour for deep dish. We also walked in forty minutes before closing. After being told this we were trying to figure out if we should change our order and stay or just leave. Before this could happen a table busser walked up and forcefully told us that they closed at nine and we had to go. I totally understand that we came in late but acting like that was totally unacceptable. There was a much better way to get the point across without acting like a complete jerk. We were really looking forward to this as it was the cap to our travel weekend. Very disappointed and I will not return to this location. read more

This has become a new favorite for my son and I. We can leave here full for only $13! I get the individual deep dish cheese and it's always delicious. My son gets the thin crust cheese children's pizza. His pizza is always cooked at different consistency's (sometimes well done, sometimes just done enough) but always tastes great to him. The staff is always friendly and great! My biggest complaint is that they serve Pepsi. read more

This was my first time eating Giorgio's food (carry-out). Disappointing. Had the Tossed Salad with Mozzarella, which is just head lettuce, mozzarella, a couple peppers, a tomato slice cut in half and a couple green olives (a bonus point for the olives - my favorite). Would prefer romaine lettuce or at least half romaine lettuce. Also ordered 4 breadsticks with cheese but got tomato sauce. Breadsticks were tough and chewy and had zero flavor. May give them another try hoping this was just a one-off as I've heard good things about them. read more

I'm from Chicago originally, so what I would expect from the Indy Giordanos is exactly what I would get from Giordanos in Chicago. It delivers on this expectation.
