    Plants inside the place

Went here last Saturday and it so happened it was the last day before closing til next summer and it was all worth it. The corn rib were so delicious I can't even explain it. The tacos were so delicious beautiful done and that watermelon drink was out of this world. I don't like anything watermelon at all. So when I say it's was delicious it truly was. The staff was attentive and so helpful with me making my choices and so nice to me. Can't wait for them to open back next summer I'm definitely going back. The ambiance was beautiful it was outside with the beautiful air flowing, the seating was nice the people was nice, got to met a lady and her friends they had a beautiful dog omg too cute. The setting was surrounded by beautiful plants.

Amazing food and the service is great . I loved the Oysters and it was only 2 dollars each during happy hour ! They also give you these mini Tabasco bottles for the oysters that are so cute ! I recommend the lobster roll, had so much flavor. The artichoke crab dip was amazing. You can't go and not try the watermelon margarita ! If you like spicy margaritas they have a Pineapple one that is amazing . The place is super cute and the service is fast. The staff is very attentive. I will be back !

Tuesday vibe at 7:30 pm after Labor Day.

Came here with a friend on a Tuesday night for happy hour, and we had a great time! It wasn't too crowded, and snagging a reservation was super easy. We started with drinks-- the Spicy Skipper and a Frozen Watermelon Margarita. Both were delicious, but be prepared for the prices! The margarita was *huge* at $20, and the Skipper set us back $18. Not cheap, but worth it for a night out. We also ordered the fish tacos (3 for $20), which were pretty tasty and a great pairing with our drinks. Service was quick, and the whole place has a really fun, summery vibe. You're surrounded by plants, with a mix of lounge-y tables--perfect for catching up with a friend or bringing a group. It did get busier around 7, so the early evening was just right for us. The only downside? The tiny flies (fruit flies, maybe?) that wouldn't leave us alone. We were in the corner with all the plants, though, so maybe that's why. Overall, I'd definitely come back for happy hour, especially with friends, or if you're looking for a cozy spot to catch up in the summer.

Service was excellent. Not overbearing and definitely attentive at the same time. We loved how tucked away it feels and the plants . Our server Yllari was so sweet! Thank you for the good vibes and good food!

What a cute restaurant on the streets of Soho! The service was prompt and the location was so so chic. The food and drinks were on the pricier side but the experience was absolutely fantastic!

Gilligan's is a tropical oasis. The ambiance is perfect, the service is excellent, and the drinks pack a punch. It's an ideal place to relax with friends. Be sure to try the watermelon margarita. Highly recommend.

I would give this place at 3.5 if I could. I wasn't sure about the squash pizza at first, but it was literally the best thing I had. We also had some oysters and cocktail shrimp that were average. I got the coconut drink which was 85% ice. However, the waiter was super friendly and attentive! Ambiance is there, think cozy off the beaten path hideaway.

Loved Gilligan's!!! I came for the limoncello frozen drink but stayed for the vibes. It looks like you are in a Tropical oasis! You forget you are in the middle of NYC. A must go!

Place is really nice, lots of plants, greens. Looove it!!! Service is really good, and drinks fantastic, but NO BEATS!!... they need some music to create the ambiance even if its residencial.. they should keep it low but music at the bar would be nice.

During the summer you are always looking for places to grab a good frozen drink, we found this place thanks to one of those list that u come across so we decided to give it a try. Walking in u, don't really feel like you are in the city, nice tropical vibes as u enter it's pretty nice. No tables available so we sat at the bar area, which was nice minus the hot sun beaming on u, lucky if u sit under an umbrella so that was good for us. Drinks, of course had to try the Frozen Watermelon margarita, it was awesomeee, specially on a warm day! taste wise so good , refreshing & after a few u have quite the buzz. Appetizers we tried the Crab & Artichoke dip, warn dip on the Lavosh everything toast it was very tasty & hit the spot while we had our drinks. Service wise we had to get our on drinks at the bar, the food was brought to us, not terrible. This was a good find for the frozen drink, we enjoyed our drinks nice way to spend a few hours on a nice summer day.

Decided to meet up with my girls for Saturday brunch, and from the moment we sat down we had such a great experience. We arrived with two dogs and when we originally got seated, our table was a little crowded and overwhelming for our pups. Our server was so nice and accommodating when we asked to be moved to a more isolated table. We ordered their brunch pizza 10/10, squash blossom pizza 8/10, crudo dish 7/10, oysters 9/10, corn ribs 10/10, and guacamole 10/10. Their was three of us and we each had a 2 drinks. One our friends does not drink alcohol and their mocktail watermelon spritz was delicious. They also brought a water bowl for pups! As we're getting ready to pay our bill, their manager was so generous to comp our whole entire meal to our surprise! We were so thankful and glad they noticed how much we enjoyed our time there. Overall great experience! We loved the vibe. It's a summer oasis right in the city. Great food and drinks with awesome service! Can't wait to come back :)

Overall rating: 4.65 Initially this place was a bit hard to find. I got it kind of confused with Soho diner. I was kind of expecting the worst experience ever based on the terrible reviews, but I liked it! If you've read any of my other reviews, you know by now I love anything with plants. And this, was a rainforest My friends were running late and the service was very friendly and patient while I waited for them. I didn't drink but the juice was very good. My friend had the salad and I had the granola which were both great. Things got a little rocky soon after when a 3rd friend came. The service dropped significantly. They took forever to get her order, bring out food & close the check. Like 20+ minutes of waiting. We've even tried to wave multiple people down a few times, but they were so busy and so crowded. I don't think that's an excuse when it's a $$$ place in Tribeca though. As much as I love the space and the environment, it's more of a one-time visit for me. As 3 people, I can't imagine how it is with a party of 4 or more. It has to be better other times? Maybe a happy hour after work? Definitely not brunch for me. I recommend coming at a different time, unless you enjoy or wouldn't mind waiting.

Had a lovely experience here catching up with friends while I was in New York for the weekend. We found this place on maps while we were in the area and were pleasantly surprised with the setup and our experience. Gilligan's has a beautiful tropical vibe with the food and drinks to match. We got a pitcher of the spicy margarita which was refreshing. We also tasted the frozen watermelon margarita which was sweet and delicious. I'd recommend both but I preferred the watermelon a bit more. Drinks were a little pricey but that's probably partly for the aesthetic and the area of town. Susie was a funny and wonderful waitress and we would come back again just to see her!

While I can't comment on the wine list personally, I know they are well-known for their extensive selection. After placing our order, we were delivered the sesame pizza bianca, which is a complimentary starter bread with dinner. The bread was a nice size and light and airy with a perfect crust and a delicious, crusty sesame seed bottom. The prawns were our starter and came three to a dish. They were sizable, though since they are served with the head and tail, there isn't a ton of meat on them. That said, they were flavorful and juicy with a nice sauce and just the right amount of spice that didn't overwhelm the fish. The snowdance chicken was the star of the show! It was incredibly juicy and tender with perfectly prepared skin, so I was happy to learn they keep this on the menu year-round. It was topped with some spinach that was solid, though nothing special. We also ordered a side of mushrooms which came with a creamy sauce and fish roe intended to be mixed at the table. The roe wasn't fishy at all but added a great element of umami to the flavorful, well-textured mushrooms. Overall, the service was very professional, though I thought the pacing could have been improved as the dishes came out a bit slowly. I would also recommend ordering at least two dishes per person, as the three plates we shared between two people felt like just a touch too little food. I'm already looking forward to going back--I'd try the winter chicories salad or the veal sweetbreads next time, but I'm open to exploring everything since the quality is so high. I noticed a side dish listed on their online menu that wasn't actually offered in person, so it might be worth double-checking if you have your heart set on a specific item.

I made reservations after seeing their special hot chocolate on social media and had a wonderful meal! Started off with the hiramasa which was fresh and went deliciously well with the citrus-y and sweet cara cara orange, as well as the aji peppers! The castelfranco chickory salad was fresh, crunchy, slightly creamy and slightly tangy - basically everything you need in an appetizing salad! Their house sesame bread was fluffy and chewy with a good amount of sesame flavor without having too many seeds. For mains, the farfelle was very interesting and tasty! The pasta was al dente and the sauce was addicting! At first I was wondering if it would resemble a nut butter, but it was creamy with very prominent walnut flavors and interesting texture (perhaps from the blended walnut skin component?). The addition of burrata and other cheeses was perfect for a cheese-lover like me. The pork chop was flavorful, well-seasoned, and juicy. The leek and cabbage mixture soaked up all the sauce and I wish there was more! Their special hot chocolate with an espresso martini marshmallow was fire!!!! Hot chocolate was decadent, not too thick, and not too sweet. The toasted marshmallow melted quickly but definitely had coffee and alcohol flavors. The amount per serving doesn't appear a lot but appropriate considering how rich it is. The mascarpone dessert had a great balance of fluffy cream, extremely crispy phyllo, and crunchy nuts with a touch of chocolate and vanilla! For drinks, I was really curious about the bi lemongrass but they ran out. Staff recommended the semiplume, which felt like a beer, tea, and sparkling wine all at once! Loved the floral aroma and bitter tea notes. My partner's cocktails were also well executed. Staff were nice and friendly. We got seats right by the kitchen so staff often checked in with us, including the chef!! Vibes were intimate with the dim lighting and minimalist decor. Definitely want to come back to check out their chicken and other dishes!!
