If you're looking for a night that feels equal parts luxe and electric, Do Not Disturb Speakeasy absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, the décor sets the tone--rich, upscale, and intimate with that hidden-gem feel. The vibe is lively without being overwhelming, and the music is perfect--setting the mood while still letting you enjoy the experience. The food? Next level. The Crispy Rice Party is a must--an indulgent lineup featuring tuna, salmon, hamachi, scallop, crab, lobster, and arroz con pegao, all layered with incredible texture and flavor. The Spicy Lobster Tagliatelle is rich, perfectly balanced, and seriously satisfying. And don't skip the Lemon Pepper Mala Wings--crispy, bold, and packed with flavor. To top it off, the "Do Not Disturb" specialty drink is everything you want in a signature cocktail--bourbon mixed with a homemade sour (lemon, honey, and ginger syrup), orgeat, and angostura bitters. Smooth, slightly sweet, and dangerously good. Overall, it's the kind of place you go for the full experience--great food, amazing drinks, and a vibe that keeps the energy going all night. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

Came here for drinks one evening and thought that it was a super cool space in the West Village. It can be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it, but the cozy bar is located below ground level and a fairly small, intimate space. Service here was so friendly and I had a good experience. We got their 'Sexxy Red' and 'Do Not Disturb' cocktails. While I typically don't like dark-liquor based cocktails, I did think that their signature 'DND' cocktail was very well-made and good. I also enjoyed my 'Sexxy Red' cocktail. Would love to come back to try their food!

Service and drinks were great! I liked the ambiance and the music was nice. The food could be a bit better, it was a little over salted but nonetheless I would come back again for a date night or birthday dinner.

Caught a last minute reservation for this hot spot. Vibes are immaculate! It giving modern cabin with fireplace that was perfect for a cold wrinter day. Upon arrival, security was super friendly and gave us a heads up about how busy it was. It was indeed busy! Unfortunately, the staff didn't do the best job at communicating. They seemed almost confused looking at the floor plan and walking back and forth of the space. I was told reservations were overbooked and had to wait almost an hour after my reservation. I really wanted to try this spot so we decided to stick it out. After being sat we were quickly greeted by the server. From here on everything was incredible. Highlight was the crispy rice flight (not pictured.). Will be back!

If I could give this more than five stars.. I would.. DND is the most perfect spot for a date night hands down. We had our Valentine's Day dinner and this spot is known to be romantic all year round. Upon entering it's a small bar, to where u then enter the dining room one side is lightly lit while the other is dimly lit. We sat in the light den and I'm so glad we did. I live a dark romantic vibe but at the same time I like being able to see my partner and the food we get lol.. For starters, the head chef is 21 years old.. like that is insanely impressive!!! The food was phenomenal. Everyone gets the crispy rice flight where it's a mix of lobster, crab, scallop, tuna, salmon, and one other I forgot.. but the flavors of every single crispy rice was so so delicious. I would get it again in a heartbeat. The drinks were all great they're all fun named. I got the afterglow and the trick daddy, both yummy! We also got oysters, I love me some oysters so the only note I would have would be for $30 these oysters were TINYYYY.. prob what happens when u order it on a non "ber" month tho. We also shared a main, the lamb dish. The cuts of lamb were nice and hefty. The rice was flavorful and the pork was as well. I was full by the time this came out bc I devoured the crispy rice. The service was wonderful, super attentive, and took great photos of us! This is hands down the most romantic spot I have been to in the west village. I love a speakeasy restaurant/bar!!

Did not realize how often I passed this place in the west village and it has always been on my list. I was supposed to come with an old friend here but never managed. So I came on a solo date and it was perfect for that. People inside were so friendly. The food was amazing. Great service. In the city that never sleeps you'll never feel alone. I also had a side Caesar preparing for that summer body! But if you love a nice crispy rice you have to try this!!!

The feel of the place give speakeasy. It's low lighting and very cozy. Music is to my liking and I am all for the playlist. You MUST have a reservation for 2 to have a table. So this is defiantly not the best solo date place but still doable. The menu is not big which is nice but can be hard when limited to non-seafood. I opted for the Crispy Rice Flight and it did not disappoint. Cooked very well and tasty. Wish it came with some side sauce for added flavor. The drinks are DRINKS and one has me feeling pretty ready for bed. Strong and to the point. Shoutout to the bartender. Overall I had a decent time I would return.

This is literally a hidden gem. Past it three times trying to find it. I had the mac and a cheese which was delicious. The craft cocktails were obviously the real star here. They were super creative with the mix and well-balanced, they are as beautiful to see as they are delicious. The bartenders really know what they're doing, and it shows. I love the dark feel of the bar. When the bartender is chatting with you it gives the bar that added personality. I love it here.

I was finally able to hit this place, and I wasn't disappointed. This spot was an entire VIBE! So much so, that I've been twice. Popped in on a random Friday night, which I wouldn't advise w/o a reservation. Unless you are there for HH and posted up at the bar you will be standing and waiting for the next person to get up and people do not leave...lol! The other time I popped in was a Tuesday, which had less traffic but still busy. The vibe is speakeasy. it's dark, moody, and clean. Music was on point and added to the feel of the place. Great for a date night or a link up w/ friends. Their cocktails were the star of the show for me.. French Tips Do Not Disturb Berry Me Deep ...and my fav classic...Gin Gimlet on the rocks..lol! The mixologists are amazeballs! Love this spot! You will not be disappointed!

We popped into Do Not Disturb in NYC right before our Valentine's Day dinner and it was beautifully decorated with roses and candles everywhere. I got the Make Me Sweat and my girlfriend got the Java the Slut. Both cocktails were great. The vibe was perfect, fun and romantic. Great spot to kick off a date night.

Do Not Disturb is a West Village speakeasy restaurant/bar known as a "sensory sanctuary". Daud Sturdivant, a former musician turned restaurateur, explained in a news segment that it's a place to disconnect and reconnect. It is located downstairs from street level and as soon as you walk in it is lovely and dark and warm at the main bar. Then as you walk through there are additional tables. A larger space than you would expect. We sat in a room with a fireplace, it was lovely and comfortable. Party of 3, early reservation in advance on a weekend. The drink names lean towards bedroom themed. What we ordered: (we each loved our drinks) Make Me Sweat Afterglow Lap Dance Pillow Biter Baby Gurlll The three of us shared the food. Our server was very helpful with food and drink explanations as we decided what to narrow down to order. Crispy Rice Party - tuna, salmon, hamachi, scallop, crab, lobster, arroz con pegao (we divided each piece into 3 to share) Mac & Cheese - cavatappi, gouda, gruyere, cheddar, herbed breadcrumbs, smoked bacon Lemon Pepper Mala Wings - (our server said these were very popular) By the time we left, both the tables and the bar area were full. Would definitely come back, even if just for drinks.

    Salmon & Beurre Blanc
    Kendall L.

Tucked away in the West village, Do Not Disturb is a cozy speakeasy that delivers on both ambiance and flavor. I had the Salmon & Beurre Blanc, the salmon was cooked perfectly, with a nice balance of flavor, and the potato complemented the beurre blanc beautifully. The atmosphere is intimate and soulful, with music that sets the tone for a perfect date night. The staff were attentive, and the drinks were well-crafted. With dishes averaging $25-$30, it's reasonably priced for the quality and experience. Parking can be a little tricky on weekends due to the location, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you're coming on a date to skip the wait though walk-ins are welcome. A hidden gem worth visiting again.

Came here on a Thursday nite and had a wonderful time. Its definitely has that moody speakeasy vibe when you walk in. With the dark woods and low lighting. The host was handsome and nice and accommodated are request for seat change which was nice. The whole place has great seating we just wanted to hear the music better is all. The service was very good no complaints. The waiter was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The drinks were top tier we had about six of their signature cocktails and no one complained. My favorite drink was the Make me Sweat...lol...the drink names are everything. They have a small food menu but the selections were good and a nice portions size. Cripsy Rice Flight was huge and delicous this can be shared if you are not that hungry, i was pleasantly surprise. Super crispy and on the toppers were fresh and so tasty! A+ I do recommend!

You need a password (easy to find online), and you go through a hidden door down a staircase. But it feels more like a novelty than anything else. NYC has way more iconic speakeasies, so this isn't somewhere I'd go out of my way for more than once. Nothing wrong with the vibe--it's Times Square, so you already know what you're getting--but it's definitely a one-and-done kind of spot. The drinks are good and super fun, but they're very extra (smoke, presentation, all that), so between that and how packed it gets, it can take a while just to get one cocktail. Didn't try the food. Overall, go for the pics and TikToks--it's perfect for that. I'd recommend checking it out once, but I don't really see it being a repeat spot.

Sounds simple, but it's one of my favorite drinks, and I'm always looking for someone who can do it well. I ordered their "dear G&T" and it was a fruity, complex riff on my old favorite. I also got the foreign forage, "a bourbon smash with a mint zing." It was also a delicious take on a classic. They have several types of cocktails, all broken down by spirit and flavor profile. They also offer a lot of spirits made in New York State. They have cocktails with earthy notes, fruity notes, fancy martinis, and a section boasting limited edition and special spirits, if you're "feeling fancy" and wanna cough up 35 bucks instead of 20 or 25! They have a bar snacks menu (sliders, nuts, and the like). I had their thick cut fries and they were light, seasoned, and tasty. I couldn't stop eating them. Midtown or not, I highly recommend this spot, which also has a couple other locations, including Gramercy.

It IS a small bar, but there were only about 4-5 folks here already, engrossed in a conversation at the bar that anyone could join. I quietly took a seat at one of the 3 tables on the plush high-top bench and the lone, friendly bartendress was immediately attentive (I was greeted the moment I stepped through the door!). Now, there's no ACTUAL liquor here, ONLY the beer and wine on the small menu, so don't try asking her to whip you up something not on the menu. Luckily for me, there was a fruity sangria special, so I opted for that, served with a decorative shark adornment and a metal straw, and was immediately given a little bucket of popcorn to accompany it. Now, this is part of the reason why I wanted to check this place out. Fresh popcorn is my weakness. Bars that give free snacks with drinks are top tier in my book. You could probably lure me into the back of a white van with a signature red and white filled popcorn bucket. So I sat, and I sipped, and I munched, and I listened to the conversation from the others, and the bartendress, god bless her, would check on my bucket and refill it any time it got low. Now I'm really a mixed drink girly, but the vibes were SO cool here that I would most definitely come back. :D Also note, there's cool little padded seating by the window that I noticed that would be great for people-watching outside.
