this place is definitely a vibe. The drinks are always really good. I was disappointed that they didn't have their crispy eggplant on the menu. I was here last year and got it and it was my favorite. My friend and I shared some apps. Some sliders, fish tacos, and pork boa. They were good. I wouldn't get those fish tacos again to tell you the truth. I barely tasted any fish in them, But I still like this place a lot. lol. This place is always a good option before a show

We weren't terribly wowed by $5 tacos on Taco Tuesday. The carne asada seemed to be missing the guacamole, and they were rather dry and tasteless without. The fish and cauliflower tacos were both better. Fries were fine; they definitely should've been for $11. Service was friendly but slow even though they weren't terribly busy at 10:00 on a Tuesday night. It was crazy loud from a few tables nearby. We wouldn't hurry back here.
I came here with my husband to celebrate my birthday. We did make reservations and I am so glad we did. It was very busy at 5pm on a Saturday so reservations suggested. My husband started with the 'Paradise Found' drink which was koch elemental mezcal, passionfruit puree, pineapple, agave, lime. He loved it. He said it was very strong but one of the best drinks he has had. I got a 'Pom Pom Fresca' which was Pomegranate, blackberry, mint, seltzer. It was super refreshing. For an appetizer, we got the 'Chili Crisp Shrimp' which was Drizzled & Served with Spicy Ginger Chili Sauce. These were delicious; especially the sauce. For an entree, I got the 'Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese' which was Roasted Tomatoes, Vegetable Stock of Onions, Garlic, Celery, Carrots, & Herbs. Served with a Buttered Grilled Cheese Dipping Sticks. It was just okay - nothing more, nothing less. The cheese was not melted and it was all just okay. My husband got the 'Smashed Burger' which was two 3-ounce Angus Beef Patties, American Cheese, Onion, Buttered Bun with Smash Sauce. Served with French Fries. He loved it and thought it was great burger. This place was pretty pricy. I don't think it was worth the $90 something dollars we spent. The service was quick and friendly. I don't know if I would go back. If I could give it 3.5 I would, but for now I will stick with 3 since the grilled cheese and soup could be have been better.
Brunch menu is good but limited. The food was fresh and tasty. Service was quick and easy. We were sitting at the window seat near the front of the door but it felt very comfortable.
The Chicken and Waffles Benedict alone is basically worth the 5 stars. When I saw that on the brunch menu, I knew this was a place I needed to try. My one note on the dish would be to use thicker, Belgian style waffles. Otherwise, they were absolutely incredible. One of the most delicious chicken and waffle meals I've ever had. My wife had the BEC and said it was extremely cheesy and delicious. Her only request would've been ketchup and hot sauce that wasn't Tobasco. Both of us would love to return here though. The service was great. They were very attentive and welcoming. The environment is like an Irish Pub mixed with a diner and I mean that in the best way. I can't wait for another chance to eat here again.
Such a great vibe. I was visiting on a work trip and I felt like a local sitting at the bar. I just had a soup and beer, but both were great and the bartenders provided was super kind. I would definitely recommend stopping here before or after a show.

Enjoyed a birthday brunch at Dutch Fred's. The decor was super cute and the service was very good. I split the tacos and pancakes, for a sweet and salty fix, with a friend. I loved the tacos! The pancakes had a cakey and almost cornbread consistency, which was different. They were not too sweet and the presentation was beautiful. I loved that Hugo Spritz was an option for the bottomless drinks! My only complaint is that we were seated in the back and there was little circulation, making it very hot.
May be the best espresso martini I've ever had! Perfectly cold & perfectly caffeinated. Our server Finn was a great chat, and made delicious drinks! We stayed longer than we planned, enjoying the cool space and great company. Perfect spot to debrief a Broadway show over a cocktail.
First time here and the place was packed and vibrant--exactly what you'd expect in Midtown Manhattan. We grabbed seats at the gorgeous bar to avoid the wait. Service was quick and friendly, and the craft cocktails were impressive. I started with the London Rouge--beautiful presentation but a bit too heavy on the beet for my taste. My husband's drink forgot the name had a flower and I believe anise had a much better flavor balance. I switched to mezcal and loved the Apágame el Fuego--although small it is spicy, fresh, and unique. Later, another bartender made me a drink called Paradise Found, and it was the standout drink of the night--perfectly balanced and delicious. Food was also excellent. The wagyu sliders, truffle fries, brisket sliders, and fried chicken sandwich were all flavorful and satisfying. The ambiance was great and staff added a welcoming vibe. We'll definitely be back!
Stopped by Dutch Fred after seeing a show in the area. We asked for a table outside and we were able to sit and enjoy the New York scenery. We decided on the Wagyu sliders, Honey Sriracha Wings and Parmesan Truffle Fries. So glad we did bc all of our choices were fantastic. The sliders were served on a pretzel bun and the Wagyu melted in your mouth. The wings were perfectly cooked. They were smokey with the perfect amount of heat. The fries were just okay. They could have been cooked better or served "fresh." Overall we enjoyed our time at Dutch Fred's and would return after another show. read more
There's a new happy meal deal here and for a starting price of $27, you get a martini, choice of salad or sliders, and fries! It's a great meal portion for a quick pick-me-up in the Theater District. For one Freddie's Happy Meal combo, I got the, Kale Caesar Salad, Truffle Fries, and Pornstar Martini. You can upgrade your fries and martini for $2 more each. In the other Freddie's Happy Meal, I went with the Sliders, Sweet Potato Fries, and House Vodka Martini! I liked the salad a lot. It had a really good amount of dressing. I also tried their Dry Rub Wings and yummy Brisket Croquettes which reminded me of hush puppies. The wings were overcooked and tough unfortunately. Cute place near times square! I started with the winter sangria which was the perfect balance of red wine and sweetness. We ordered the guacamole as an appetizer and it was very fresh. I did the wagyu burger sliders and they were fine but not a ton of flavor. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dutch Freds! Made a reservation for brunch after seeing a post about the bottomless option on Instagram. I loved that the drinks were served in tea cups! Also equally loved the decor. Made for a nice and cozy holiday vibe on a cold winter day. The bottomless drinks are served in little carafes, and let me tell you, they pack a punch! Enjoyed the Dutch punch. Now sometimes restaurants with bottomless brunch tend to put more emphasis on the drinks and less on the food. I was glad to say this was not the case with Dutch Freds! Everything was so tasty, from the brisket to the eggs to the little potatoes served on the side. Our server was friendly and attentive and so we let her know we would absolutely return in the near future. read more

Stumbled upon Dutch Freds early this Friday evening. (May 2025) As per tradition when bestie and I are headed to a broadway show we head to the theater district find parking and pick a random spot for a bite to eat before curtain call. This Friday the parking God's were on our side but Mother Nature was not. As the rain started to fall we dipped in to Dutch Freds. At 5:30/6pm there were no tables available but we found spots at the bar. Service, food, and decor were all very good. We kept it simple with wings, sliders, fries, & a kale salad to share. In addition to a couple of cocktails. Everything was tasty especially the drinks. However, it was tad pricey given what we ordered, no entrée's only shareable starters and our tab was up there. Nonetheless you get what you pay for and the food and service was very good. This was a nice find, that hit the spot and saved us from the rain on our way to be theatre geeks. Lol Just A Note: They offer a brunch with unlimited tea cup cocktails. read more

Ordered: Lychee-Me Colada (~$18): Havana Club, Plantation Pineapple Rum, Pineapple Juice, Coconut Cream, Chai, Lychee Puree Classic Margherita Flatbread (~$19): Mozzarella, Parmesan, Tomato, Basil & Olive Oil Aya's take: Found myself back at Dutch Freds for a quick drink on a Friday around 9:30pm and it was pretty busy & loud! The decor is stylish, it's dimly lit, and has that cozy, 1910s feel. The Lychee-Me Colada was strong in alcohol but light and sweet flavor - just how a cocktail should be! The Classic Margherita Flatbread is a sad excuse for Margherita-style. It also looks nothing like the photo on their menu. It's good for sharing and is a good drunk snack I suppose but it lacked flavor entirely. The tomatoes were also a bit undercooked and weren't even the same cut you would get in a typical Margherita. Dutch Freds is a classic NYC bar; solid selection of drinks and maybe other big/small bites worth trying. read more

I work at a cocktail place similar to Dutch Fred's, and heard about their late night happy hour. On their website, it says $10 drinks 12-2am in multiple places. When I ordered 2 margs, the bartender Will tried to charge me $12 each, I politely showed him the website and apologized over and over for being inconvenient. I pulled out a $10 tip and wanted to give it to him along with my card tip. He got his manager Evan to adjust the price, which I appreciated, but as he's running my card the bartender Will snarklily says "your next drinks will be $12 each". I tip on card, drop the $10, and he walks back over. I point to the cash and say thank you again, to which he ignores me and the cash. I grab the cash and leave. So rude for no reason, even when I was trying to tip extra for being inconvenient. read more

Nice atmosphere. We enjoyed our food and mainly did small plates. Servers were a little unattentive and changed over at 8pm which seemed a little strange but was able to order a second drink so no problem. Nice place to hang out with friends. read more
I checked Yelp for a breakfast location close to the hotel I was staying at. Dutch Feds was a 8 minute walk and so I walked in without a reservation and was seated right away! The Decor was so cute. The waitress asked me my drink of choice and I said " a cutesy drink" and pisco punch was suggested. Not only was it cutesy it was delicious! For the entree HUEVOS RANCHEROS (Fried Tortilla, Red Beans, Queso Fresco, Sunny-side Up Eggs, Salsa Verde, Sour Cream, Avocado. Served with Home Fries). It is the perfect serving size. Not too much ! Just enough! A very pleasant experience was had. read more
Great quality food...we tried a bunch of mini apps and full sized Kale salad and Steak sandwich and we had leftovers. Brought our kids and there were other kids there too. Read somewhere not recommended for kids, but if your kids are behaved and good which our kids are, it's fine. The food is great and within waking distance to the Broadway musical we went to. My kid who ids picky eater actually wanted to try this place after seeing the menu, so great pick! I loved our waitress. She was really nice and gave us great recs. We chose Dutch Fred's for the $30 bottomless brunch. We had a great time and were not disappointed. We came on a Sunday at 1:30 pm and it was not crowded! The brunch food was superb. Really delicious and plentiful! The tea cups were cute & the perfect touch for a girls get together for brunchin in NYC. The bathroom tells all.... Super clean and loved their vibe. The host and waitress were attentive. Music was played at a nice volume and we did not feel rushed at all. read more
Really enjoyed the experience here. It's basically upscale bar food with a great ambiance and very good service. I had a cheeseburger and fries and nachos. Everything was great. The burger was weak seasoned, cooked to temperature, and I would definitely get it again. read more

Ok I Love this place!! I passed it a couple of times and I was drawn in by the way it was decorated from the outside. Especially with all the Pride regalia!! I went in and was greeted by very sweet hostesses and I at the wonderfully long bar I don't know what I was expecting, but I was very surprised at how beautiful and spacious this place was I don't think the bartender liked me very much, or maybe he's just not the type of friendly I'm used to. I didn't take offense I enjoyed myself regardless. I had a couple of signature drinks, which were both delicious and beautiful and presentation . I have a stuffed French toast, which was having on a plate. If I were a glutton, I would've had two more servings that's how great it was. You happen to be my birthday that day, so it was nice to enjoy a brunch, which I don't often get the chance to have in a nice quiet location. I came here on a Wednesday night. I tried to call to make a reservation, but they don't take reservations over the phone so you have to book through the Resy app and have to leave a credit card in case of cancellation. Cancellation fee of $20/person for dinner which is a little steep but apparently up to the restaurant's discretion. They don't provide menus and only use a QR code which some of my party could not get onto and eventually got physical menus. They do have a great wine down Wednesday special including $10 wines! We ordered the pork belly bao buns as an appetizer. Only three in an order. A lot more bread than meat but still tasty. I really wanted the chopped kale salad but you can't add a protein to it so I got the steak and beet salad. The portion is smaller than expected but it was very good. You can't ask for the steak to be cooked a certain way (ex: med rare, med, well etc) but it was fine. It was a decent meal close to Times Square and the theaters. read more

Their drinks are constantly flowing and the food is creative and mouthwatering. Bottomless brunch is optional, but if you choose to do so, it's $30 per person plus the purchase of an entree for 90 minutes. You can choose from: mimosas, Bloody Mary, or Dutch's Punch! When I went, the PRIDE vibes are immaculate! Such a cute space! Here's what we ordered: Drinks ~Mimosas ~Dukes for 2- vodka, passion fruit, vanilla, prosecco served in a tea pot. So fruity and delicious! We also loved the big spherical ice cubes! ~St. Elmo's Fire-Ghost Tequila, Pamplemousse, Lime, Orange Liqueur, Overproof Rum, Ancho Chili Powder, Fire (literally) Food: ~Cheddar Chicken & Waffle Sandwich -Buttermilk Brined Chicken, Cheddar, Bacon, Chipotle Aioli, Caramelized Onion, Maple Syrup. I cannot stress this enough: this is a MUST ORDER!! The chicken is so juicy and crispy and the little bit of spice from the aioli works so well with the sweet syrup. And the fries were AMAZING ~Huevos Rancheros- Fried Tortilla, Red Beans, Queso Fresco, Sunnyside Up Eggs, Salsa Verde, Sour Cream, Avocado & Home Fries. So flavorful and the perfect runny egg. ~Stuffed French Toast - Cereal crusted French Toast stuffed with Banana, Mascarpone, topped with Whipped Cinnamon Cream and Berries. You need to order this if you have a sweet tooth!! It was so crispy and the fresh berries paired so nicely. This was a really solid French toast. Highly recommend this spot and the staff was also so friendly! read more

Website says 21 after 5 does that mean I can sit with my 16 yo at 5 or will we be refused when we show up to a 5 reservation because we are seated after 5?? Dinner before the theater and looking for a fun weekend spot.

It's a bar so it's iffy for an 11 year old girl. There are outside tables that would be more appropriate.
Are reservations required for Sunday brunch?
Required, no - but a very good idea as the morning becomes afternoon. It can get busy.
Is it a family friendly restaurant?
Yes, but it's in New York, so there's a bar and some seating area in the back.
Are there any current happy hour specials?
If we book a reservation for a brunch Saturday. I know it says optional, but if we select bottomless drinks does this mean everyone must partake in the bottomless or only those who'd like to? Just trying to confirm I won't be charged for everyone.
You can decide at the restaurant who selects bottomless and you won't be charged through the reservation but at the restaurant after ordering and finishing up brunch.
Are guys allowing groups (10 people) to dine-in?

Our brunch menu is served Saturday and Sunday 11am-3pm. Our evening food menu is available from 3pm. We hope to have you in!
