One of my good Yelp friends recently posted an excellent review of Nittis. So, when my wife and I planned to come in to see a show this past weekend with two other couples, I recommended having dinner here. It wound up being an excellent choice! The location in Hells Kitchen is very convenient, especially if you're taking the ferry back to NJ. Most important, the Italian food served here was outstanding! We started off with appetizers of Calamari and Arancini. Both were well prepared. The Arancini is made with a spicy vodka sauce and definitely had a kick! A couple of us, including myself, ordered the Lasagna entree. My wife had Chicken Francaise. Everyone thought their meals were very good. We topped the dinner off by sharing orders of Tiramisu for dessert! The owner, Will, stopped by for a while to welcome us and also provided details of his family's restaurants in NY/NJ. Very nice! If you're in NYC and looking for a great Italian meal, give Nittis a try, you won't be disappointed!

Lunch with friends while in the area...fairly spacious inside. Friendly staff. Good place if around the neighborhood for lunch or dinner. Interesting statue as one walks in... On a nice day, the side patio is open with option to sit outside or sit close to it. Friendly staff and service. Variety of options to choose from the menu, which makes it hard to decide. Complimentary garlic bread served with olive oil delicious while we awaited our food. Crispy calamari good to share. Chicken franchese w/ sauteed spinach and spicy salami pizza were good. Will have to come back and try desserts...

(Chef's kiss!) This quaint Italian restaurant is amazing. I walked in and readily found a seat at the bar. I ordered a WTF to start with. It's a cocktail inspired by Mark, the bartender, who is amazing as well....and I have no regrets! The calamari was crispy and delicious! There are tvs in the bar area so you can keep up with your fav sport. Accessible entrance and street parking nearby.

Quaint Spot, full of ambiance. Large bar, spacious restaurant for a 9th Ave restaurant. It's 2 blocks down from the rear of Port Authority. We went on a Saturday, so there were times it got busy. We were a table of (14). We had a blast & enjoyed our many different cuisine choices. Food is very tasty with lots of choices & that includes wines bottle or glass. I recommend, this restaurant.

Stumbled into Nittis on a Sunday night while staying at a hotel nearby, and I'm so glad I did. The bar was empty, so I grabbed a seat there. Service was great from the start, bartender and staff were super friendly and quick and conversational. Started with a dirty martini (excellent) and ordered the fried calamari. Big, thick pieces, not the thin style you usually get, and it came with fresh bread on the side. For my main, I went with the truffle rigatoni bolognese, which was amazing. I ate it so fast I didn't even think to take a picture. You can tell the pasta is fresh, and the flavors were spot on. Overall, it was a perfect quiet solo dinner on a Sunday night. With two cocktails, an app, and an entrée, my bill with tip was still under $100, which is a steal in Midtown. Definitely exceeded my expectations and deserves more love. Easy 5/5 stars.

Great Italian spot I'm HK, a 10 min walk from the Javits. Kid friendly because the pizza and pasta are both great for kids! We had pizza as an appetizer and I had the chicken francese. Chicken was moist and lemony. Service was very nice. Drinks seemed a little pricy but I had to order one and it was worth every penny!!!! I'll be back for sure.

Such an amazing find!! My friend had been doing to find some Cacio e Pepe and when I found Nittis we had to give it a shot!! The pasta was so fresh, the sauce was amazing and the service was fantastic!! It was so good we came back twice for dinner in a long weekend trip and even suggested it to people we watched & Juliet beside and they met us there for dinner. We'll definitely be back anytime we are in town!!

Nittis has menus that open to a tablet and you scroll to see photos of all their menu items and each dish twirls. The service was great. The food was all good except the brown butter sage was not browned enough and was more or less butter ravioli, did it stop me from eating the whole bowl? No. No it didn't. I love all butter.

We loved this place! My daughter said they had the best tiramisu ever. Great location and atmosphere

I came here for dinner with a friend, and was impressed, especially because of the restaurant's unassuming exterior. The interior was sophisticated with a black, red and white color scheme, as well as dim lighting. There was a warm ambiance to the place. We had to ask for it, but were given complimentary garlic bread with olive oil and vinegar. The bread was still warm, crunchy, fluffy, with strong garlic taste. For my entree, I ordered the Veal Sorrentino, consisting of veal layered eggplant prosciutto with fresh mozzarella, served with sautéed veggies and potatoes. The veal was lightly pounded, tender, and well seasoned. The eggplant was cooked perfectly, while the prosciutto added an extra yumminess. The mozzarella was irresistibly melty with tasty sherry sauce. The veggies included zucchini, carrot and squash. They were a nice fresh touch and had just the right consistency. I also enjoyed the potatoes, which had a satisfying crispiness. My friend and I also shared the Truffle Oil and Pecorino Frites, which were oh so addicting and delightfully crispy with authentic truffle flavor and sharp flavor of the cheese dusted all around. I also had to get the Calzone Alla Nutella dessert, which was absolutely huge and beautifully presented. I had to take half of it home. The plate was decorated with strawberry sauce and chocolate sauce, as well as strawberries, blueberries, along with raspberries. The outer shell of the Calzone was satisfyingly crispy, filled with warm, oozing, rich, delicious Nutella. Service was decent. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Prices were not too bad, especially considering the Hell's Kitchen location. I would be open to returning to try the Shrimp Parmigiana or Steak & Frites.

Took a road trip up 95 and used Yelp to find dinner when we arrived. The restaurant was beautiful and intimate. And the waitress was so sweet. She was attentive and ensured the birthday girl was taken care of. We ordered the Caesar salad, eggplant, Parmesan, and mushroom ravioli. We topped off the night with a birthday tiramisu and cappuccinos. It was the perfect setting for a 40th birthday and they made us feel so special.

If you want to feel like a true New Yorker--dodging tourists, weaving through crowds, and inhaling the comforting scent of garlic wafting out the door--this spot in Hell's Kitchen is your place. It's loud, it's busy, it's unapologetically New York, and I mean that in the best way possible. I kicked things off with mussels cooked in white wine and garlic, which were so good I briefly considered drinking the broth like a shot when no one was looking. The zucchini and tomato in there made me feel healthy, so I could justify what was coming next. I went classic with spaghetti and meatballs because sometimes you don't need to reinvent the wheel, and this wheel was rolling perfectly. The pasta was cooked just right (al dente, not "mush" like I've had elsewhere), and the sauce was exactly the "grandma's hug" flavor you want when eating in a tiny, packed NYC Italian restaurant. My wife got the lobster ravioli, which was so rich in lobster flavor that I had to "help" her with one piece purely for quality assurance purposes. Let's just say if she looked away longer, that ravioli would've mysteriously disappeared. It was that good. In summary: If you're in Hell's Kitchen and want flavorful Italian in a place that feels alive, stop in. It's a classic spot where the food's great, the street's buzzing, and you can leave with the satisfaction of having eaten well--plus a strong urge to take a nap immediately after. Would I stop by again when I pass through the area? Absolutely.

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

It somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed at the same time. The kind of place where you half expect to spot Hemingway in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop. We started with half a dozen oysters, which were fresh, briny, and exactly what you want with serious cocktails. Crisp, clean, gone in about three minutes. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. It felt like a cocktail designed to be savored slowly. The music fit the mood perfectly, not too loud, just enough to give the room energy without killing conversation. Overall, it's a great spot if you want elevated drinks in a space that feels transportive without being pretentious.
