The servers come directly to your table and they write down the menu for the day. The menu generally run American classics, but a bit more "chefy" than a run of the mill diner. Unfortunately, I think I came on an off day, as there were some miscues. The clam dish had a ton of potential, but was noticeably overseasoned, and I'm a self-proclaimed salt lover. It was mentioned that the pork chop was going to be medium to medium-rare, but what we received was in the edge of well done (and even burned on some ends). The burger and fries, though, were fantastic. A bit hit or miss, but I do want to come back as the menu is creative and I'm sure it would have been great on a better day.

Evidently they are famed far and wide for their pancakes, which are quite delicious. I actually prefer more texture in mine, with a bit of crisp from the butter/griddle, but you will not be sad about eating these. That said, I truly enjoyed almost everything else more. This is not a knock on them in any way, but a compliment to their kitchen that all their food is interesting and delicious. To wit: The Thai Cobb salad has the base of a classic, but with the heat and the acid of a proper som tum. The KFC wings are everything I wanted them to be. I ate way too many. The Mushroom Reuben Quesadilla (pastrami-spiced portobello!) actually evokes the flavors of a reuben, and may just have been my favorite bite of the evening. I rolled with a katsu club sandwich for my main, and it was outstanding, although I may even have liked the tuna melt more. I was too full for dessert, but I think everyone around the table enjoyed theirs. The staff is uniformly friendly, welcoming, on top of their shit, and honestly, just so cool. This spot has a handful of tables and while we were there, quite a few to-go orders were picked up as well. Though we were the only diners, so I assume it's more of a breakfast/brunch spot. The menu is rather expansive with options from breakfast to lunch and dinner. After studying the menu, we opted for the Veggie Burger and the Meatball Parm Po'Boy. Our food was ready in about 20 minutes, which seemed a little long as we were the only diners, but we were not in a rush so it was fine. As the restaurant was unassuming, I honestly had pretty low expectations, but we both really enjoyed our meals. It was definitely large portions and really flavorful. My fiance said the Meatball Parm Po'Boy was delicious and I appreciated that the veggie burger seemed to be made in house as it was falling apart (in a good way) and you could distinguish some of the veggies. I ended up only eating about half of my burger and took the rest for lunch the next day and it held up well.

My sister posted this review and it needs to be seen. People are being put in danger. We will continue to have the whole family post it til it stays up. George is trying to get it down but lawyer advises it stays up. STAY AWAY This DIRTY establishment is being reported by numerous people to various food health and safety agencies. This establishment will indeed be shut down by the end of the year (2017). If you do not want your food to be TAMPERED with do NOT come here. Missing items are the least of our worries as this is place is a known place where chefs or delivery persons get their stress out by hurting your food and in turn endangering your safety. I ordered a meal with my client. My client used her delivery.com account one sunny day in Brooklyn NY. I am a food critic writing a food blog that will be seen across NYC. including major publications such as NY EATS. What could have been a blessing of positive publicity and loads of business for them turned into their last days. George's picked the wrong day for this. I not ONLY ordered but I had delivery.com confirm the order and to which George's said: "the order will be delivered EXACTLY as ordered". Interesting to use that word for the disaster that followed. The order was a simple turkey burger deluxe, chicken caesar wrap and mayo and ketchup on the side. Upon calling to confirm Georges took it upon themselves to say the food left already (order had just been placed 10 minutes before which is quite impossible if not improbable) First, the food was over an hour late and when calling to politely check on the food the rude woman working at or around 230pm on July 10th 2017 goes into a frantic fit about how far we are from her. As an employee NEVER mention these irrelevant personal issues to the customer. You are ON THE DELIVERY SITE that says you delivery TO MY ADDRESS. You charge a 2 dollar delivery fee. DO NOT mention to customer your internal issues as it is not customers problem. You decided to lie about when it left so you wouldn't deal with the client and in turn, now are crying about customers wondering why (because of YOUR ESTIMATE) the food is over an hour late. What came to follow is something that will haunt you if you ever wonder if people spit in your food. THE TIN WAS OPENED. SOMEONE OPENED THE FOOD AND TAMPERED WITH IT. The burger was flopped on the wrong side and deluxe (that is said to come with coleslaw pickle lettuce tomato fries onion rings- mayo and ketchup on side) came with FIVE fries (one either broken or BITTEN IN HALF) and half a tomato with the round butt on. Nothing else. While we can discuss the oddity of this joke being delivered what is more important is- My food seems to have been touched by either a cook or delivery person and in response, they will get undercover investigations throughout the month. I am lucky that my dear stepfather works for the health department he will be doing these investigations himself. So I gain composure and call the place. The people picking up the phone are the worst individuals you will come across. The woman (as previously mentioned) is as rude as it gets, holds absolutely no accountability for herself or the words she says, has no idea what she is doing and is seriously incompetent. One of the men picking up the phone who worked around 3:30 pm today on Monday July 10 2017- has used fresh and inappropriate language with customers and refused to even speak about this strange and dangerous issue and saying "no one is here to help you" until delivery.com explained to him that the diner would be liable in a big way if this food safety issue was escalated. Finally, delivery.com forces them to send new correct food. Myself and delivery.com were told 30 min and I proceed to wait another hour. The food WAS INDEED CORRECT . So sad it took 3 hrs total for this I was a server for years. When food comes like this you don't get mad at the customer, you hope to God the customer doesn't get food poisoning and sue as all of this is enough cause to believe something detrimental had indeed been put into the food when tampered with, and you just try to fix it.. on another hand you may just count your blessings and close the business because as an owner knowing these are the fools working under you is scary. When those court papers come one day, or the health investigator finds something and you're shut down that's money and food out of your family's mouth. First i would like to say, being a Hispanic, i wanted so much to like this place being fully ran by Hispanics. The waitress was nice but that's the only thing i can say nice about my experience. We placed an order at 5:30 and the food came out at 6:20. When i bought that to the server's attention, she went to the cook. It didn't seem to phase him. Five minutes after that when she finally bought my soup, I asked how much longer, she said just a few more minutes . It was nothing extravagant. Steak quesadilla, chicken noodle soup. The food temp was ok but the guacamole was just on edge of being spoiled and the steak in the quesadilla was also on edge of being un eatable. The food was almost spoiled, that is a big NEGATIVE. It was not awful but for what the place is, totally unacceptable. At the very least, it looks nice and the server was nice. SKIP THIS PLACE, spend your money elsewhere read more

The next day, it happened again, and when I questioned him about the high bill, he insulted me, saying I ate too much. I had thought he was nice, but this showed a different side of him. Despite being a hardworking and respectful customer, I felt unwelcome. On my last visit, the owner was unfriendly from the start. He complained about my indecisiveness, even embarrassing me in front of other customers by saying if I found the prices too high, I could go elsewhere. This negative experience overshadowed what could have been a great diner, and I won't be returning.

And then-there it was across the street, a glow emitting from the warm lights within. When you walk in, you immediately feel the comfort of home, like you are at an old relative's house. You don't quite know how, but you know whatever you get will be good and that there will be plenty to take home for later. If you are in the mood for breakfast, get the Spanish omelet. The stewed vegetables will remind you of your mother's soup, and that you should call her. In the interim, chew thoughtfully on the pickles and chickpea sides that is placed on your table. The waitress was cute and funny and took our order in Brooklyn fashion- kind and sarcastic. The inside looks like an old timey diner with lots of seating and room for people. I can imagine a lot of people come here for breakfast. The parking garage was quite full when we arrived but most people left after 7pm. We got a lot of things including: roast chicken dinner special, steak with shrimp scampi, filet Mignon, penne patraso, linguine bolognese, side of spinach, green beans for a party of 6 and when we received it it was so large I couldn't believe my eyes. For the price point the food definitely serves up the portions- and even more. I thought their pasta dishes were really tasty and the steak with shrimp scampi was really good- I think the filet Mignon was slightly undercooked but that's probably because they cooked it at once when we got TWO whole pieces. I didn't know their steak dishes had two full pieces. I think that's where I wish they have cooked each filet Mignon piece separately vs together. I think it would've made the steak much better cooked. Their roast chicken dish special was pretty much an entire chicken and I was a little shocked with the portions and super full to be thinking about extras however they didn't give us the dessert after the chicken but we were too full to think about dessert- basically we didn't make it through the meal! I definitely took some leftovers home and had an entire other meal for lunch the next day!

I came to Yelp to do some searching and up pops The Coffee Club. What the hell...We decided to give it a shot. We walk in and it's set up like an old school diner. Front-counter seats, and diner booths; Exactly what we were hoping for. We have a seat and start off with coffee while we browse the menu. I gotta be honest: The coffee was awful. It tasted burnt and acidic as hell. Ugh... Service was on point. There was one waitress taking care of absolutely everyone: Every booth and every customer at the counter. She had us all under control. Brava! The man ordered two eggs over easy, corned beef hash, potatoes, and rye toast. I ordered an Italian omelette, potatoes and white toast. The two eggs over easy were perfect. The corned beef hash was absolutely delicious. The potatoes had room for a little salt and pepper, but they were perfectly cooked. The Italian omelette was delectable. My potatoes and toast were just as perfect. The bill for both meals and (awful) coffee was $25. Incredibly affordable, extraordinary meals; Just need to order a different beverage, next time. Definitely planning on visiting again.

The service was attentive, and we were able to place our order fairly quickly upon deciding. I knocked off a star because we ordered two pancakes for the table, but recieved three. When we immediately let the server know, she did not acknowledge the mistake or attempt to amend it. We already had a lot of food, so we ordered two because we knew we wouldn't be able to finish more than that. I did enjoy my omelette - I've never had a crabmeat omelette before and as a pescatarian, I was glad to see that option on the menu. It was flavorful and there was a substantial amount of crabmeat tucked inside. The pancakes were a bit dry and dense, so not our favorite. Overall, it was a nice, filling meal to start the year.

Also got scrambled egg croissant sandwich, and Syrniki, which are these lightly fried puffs filled with delicate farmers cheese and a berry fruit mixture on the side to dip it in. Now that was a wow! Anyone that knows me could guess which I love the most. That would've been the Syrniki which is in my opinion a healthy dessert as it is very light and delicious. Our egg dishes were OK, maybe a tad too salty but fine. I'm unsure if the mashed potatoes were made from scratch, but they were pretty good as well and they did give a mighty generous portion which I am saving for tomorrow to have with my salmon and broccoli as I have to start getting back on my healthy eating regimen. All in all we are happy we ordered from Wow and would definitely order from them again, especially the Syrniki!
