I walked in for a pedicure. First, I didn't see any of the tools in sealed sterile packs. Second, they didn't have proper toe separators and used twisted paper towels instead. Third, the technician was rushing the entire time and seemed focused on finishing quickly. The polish was applied about a millimeter above the cuticle, and I had to point it out so she could fix it. Their attitude was polite, and the service wasn't terrible, but it wasn't impressive either. I personally wouldn't return. read more

It's my birthday weekend and I'm out here with nails that were supposed to be the "cat eye" magnet design... but the only thing feline about them was how sad they looked. I was devastated and felt stuck with these thick, dull claws for the weekend.... I jumped on yelp to find somewhere that could help me out and took a chance on Gel Nails Spa and asked for the best nail design tech. Enter Lynn, the nail queen herself. This woman completely rescued my nails. She redid them from scratch and when I say she slayed, I mean she put those other nails to shame. The muted green cat eye she did? Gorgeous. Elegant. Magnetic. The photo does ZERO justice; you just have to see them in person to get it. And shoutout to Julie, who did my French pedicure the night before, as I was just a walk in, because finding someone who can do an extra-square, modern French is basically like finding a unicorn, and she nailed it. Yes I'm picky. Between Lynn's magic touch and attention to details and Julie's precision, this place is IT. I came in sad and left flipping my hair. New salon unlocked. read more

Absolutely LOVE Gel Nails Spa! My mom and I have been coming for about 6 years now and the staff is always friendly and attentive. I was always specific about getting gel on my nails because they lifted so easily for me. Not once has my gel lifted or peeled when I've come to them as they prep and remove the gel so nicely without damaging my natural nail underneath. They also do cute designs and are reasonably priced. Love this business! read more

I've been a long time supporter of this establishment and have introduced many friends to be patrons here. As of my most recent visit, I will no longer be returning. During a basic manicure appointment, my manicurist was rushing and stabbed my cuticles multiple times with her nail tool. This resulted in injuries to my cuticles (see blue circles) where they hurt upon touching and alcohol spraying that was part of the service. I asked for a specific color and when the nail bottle brought over was not at all what I required, the manicurist tried to convince me the color was right. I had to put my foot down to ask for a switch. This entire experience was frustrating and with the price increase, I will be looking elsewhere for future nail needs. read more

We've been coming in here for years because of their consistency with quality performance and exceptional customer services. We've tried other places when we're out of town, but nobody can give a manicure, gel nails, or pedicure like this business does. I've seen them do other services with nails too. I'd highly recommend Gel Nails! read more

I really like this nail salon but it's impossible to make an appointment. What a bummer because I enjoy pedicures here but can never get through. read more

Very disappointing experience. I dropped my child off for a nail appointment and came back an hour later, only to find that absolutely nothing had been done. No one contacted me to explain the delay or let me know there was an issue. We wasted an entire hour for no reason. This showed a lack of professionalism and respect for customers' time. I would not recommend this place based on our experience. read more

Customer since 2022. The nail work itself is good--that's the only reason I kept coming back. But they are chronically late and clearly overbook while still taking too many walk-ins. My breaking point was December 31. I had a 1:00 pm appointment and at 2:00 pm I was still waiting. Two teenagers who arrived before me had already been waiting even longer. No apology, no explanation--just business as usual, as if long waits don't matter. Good nails don't make up for disrespecting people's time. Waiting over an hour past an appointment is unacceptable. I walked out and won't be back. read more

Consistent, quality service. They have a lot of colors to choose from. My daughter loved going here for mommy/daughter days.

i have avoided this place for about a year now and recently decided to give it another chance and went back Saturday (07/20) to get a manicure for a wedding i was attending Sunday (07/21). I made an appointment for 11AM , per their availability, all i did was ask for a morning appointment. I got there right at 11AM, and they were BUSY - every seat was full.! I was not seated till about 11:20AM. Another woman experienced a similar waiting situation, she was more vocal about her frustration. I got a french manicure and didn't realize how horrible it was till Sunday and then Monday somehow worst. They've not only begun to chip and peal , the white tip is now BROWN. (see pictures) They have a lovely and clean shop but sadly , i will no longer be a customer and going elsewhere for my nails. read more

When you have an appointment and they aren't ready to start you 30 minutes after your time. They take far too many walk ins and appointments. It's really inconsiderate particularly when you have metered parking to pay. They are completely unapologetic and I've come here for several years. I think they may prefer to do manicures so they neglect pedi clients. Time for a new place. You lost a customer today. Hope it was worth over packing your schedule. read more

They were busy and we were early for a 4pm appointment. So we walked around, came back at 4 and still had to wait. That was the only reason they received a 4-star review. The gel toe nails lasted forever, the buff on the fingers was amazing. I'd definitely go back read more

I'm so glad I decided to come here on a whim! Everyone that works here is super nice and accomodating! Someone greets you when you walk in and everyone is attentive and efficient when it comes to serving their next clients. They are very detailed about their work here. I'm always asked if I liked my nails/want to change anything before moving on to the next steps. This definitely helps me in case I change my mind about something at any time during the process. They work efficiently without compromising their work, and I've left happy with my nails every single time. They can get pretty busy though and their waiting area is small. It can get a little cramped in that area but they have some outdoor seating to minimize crowding. TIP: They do accept walk-ins, but I highly recommend calling ahead in case they are booked for the day. Even with calling ahead and being given a time, you may still wait an extra 15-20 minutes there depending on how busy they are. read more

I've tried just about every nail salon in Lafayette, and this one stands out by far as the best. They are consistently the cleanest, sweetest, and most detail-oriented team I've come across. Their customer service is always top-notch. I've truly never had a bad experience here. At this point, I've been helped by almost everyone on staff, and each technician is incredibly skilled and takes real pride in their work. Today, I got both a mani and pedi with Sophia and Loi and I was honestly blown away by how meticulous they were! If you're looking for kind a team that genuinely does great work, this is the place!!! :) read more

They did a great job on my nails and it lasted a good amount of time. They were efficient and friendly.

I've been coming to Gel Nails Spa for years. I can be hard on my nails and always opt for gel, and they really do amazing work from start to finish. Easy five stars on quality alone. They do get busy so personally I schedule on weekdays, and don't expect to get in and out if the place is full. That said, it's always been a wonderful experience. Great attention to detail, they take their time with you, and the end product always leaves me feeling brand new. If you want nail art or something extra special let them know ahead of time because only some of the nail techs can do everything. Full disclosure, I'm an early transition trans girl, and when I first came to Gel Nails Spa I was years from figuring that out, presenting very masculine and very awkward. I had only ever had awkward mani/pedi experiences at that point in my life, usually feeling a little too "seen" and not in the best way. I usually come in a little nervous, a little insecure and hyper aware around how I'm presenting, as over the years I have gotten more and more androgynous, and now increasingly fem. That said, the staff at Gel Nails Spa have always made me feel extremely comfortable, being very welcoming and very warm. They really are great human beings and deserve all the best things in life. read more

I normally come here for a gel manicure and pedicure however my most recent visit left me with a messy pedicure. I am extremely disappointed as I asked the lady multiple times to remove the polish from my cuticles after she painted them. Moving forward, I would recommend you to bring your own shade of white/other popular colors since their polish is thicker due to it being opened a lot to be used on other clients. With that said, it could be a reason why the lady had a difficult time avoiding the cuticles. Not too sure if that's the reason but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt :/. read more

Great place, gave me a discount because they were swamped and I had to wait a bit. I like how smooth and efficient everyone is about splitting up the work and treating as many customers as possible without capping on quality. I felt very supported. My fist (and last) visit to this salon. Not worth the time or cost. Possibly the worst manicure I've had in 25 years of having my nails professionally done. Went in for a last minute appointment for pedicure, and ended up adding a basic manicure to the service. Big mistake. Manicure was a half hearted attempt at cleaning up my nails, which I realized part way through the appointment. I was a little frustrated, but it was evening, my pedicure was ok, and I wanted out of there so I didn't say anything. When I left the salon, I noticed my cuticles had only been half treated. And I don't mean half of my hand. Only half of the cuticle on each fingernail had been pushed back/partially trimmed. And several pieces of skin were loose and sticking up from my fingers - it wasn't like that when I entered the salon. I've never seen such a poor job. See the photo, this was AFTER the manicure. The pedicure was okay. My toenails did look good. There was about 2-3" of water in the foot spa (maybe they trying to conserve water?) and the foot/leg scrub and massage was a poor attempt. My heels are generally soft, but somehow came out of that place rough. Do yourself a favor and find another salon. I do not recommend this salon at all. Don't waste your time or money going here. read more

A different person did the design and she 100% nailed what I wanted. Best manicure I've had in a long time! Definitely would recommend! They have so many colors to choose from as well. Dip powder is flawless!

they are fantastic! I just moved here a few months ago and went on the recommendation of my mother in law. I was skeptical at first, as I am an acrylic nail girl. But they assured me they could do a pink and white fill that would last. And it DOES! I am very hard on my nails and they last 3 weeks and only need touching up at that point. Everyone is super skilled at what they do, very friendly and very fast, but careful too. :) I can always get an appointment and the prices are reasonable. one tip--they prefer cash payments over a credit/debit card, so if you can, try to pay that way. They will appreciate it. read more
