I came here based on the reviews and was disappointed it was not up to par. I'm sure Eva is fantastic but the gal I had didn't use lotion or cuticle oil on my hands for my mani, no clean up of polish, and did a minute rub of lotion and callus removal. Also, she claimed that my nippers weren't sharp enough so she went to go use hers and sanitized them with rubbing alcohol. $49 (plus I got 10 off for first time $39). Most places charge around $30-35 for both services and do a way better job. read more

My experience at Dynamic Nails was phenomenal. I've never had a manicure or pedicure, but decided to treat myself on my birthday. After reviewing places I decided the trip from Berkeley would be worth it and it was, without question! I called the day prior to set up an appointment without any issues. I arrived about 10 minutes early and Eva took me right away (at 8:50am)! She explained everything in detail and ensured I was treated extremely well; offered me a drink and baked good, but due to dietary restrictions I declined (but they looked aaa-mazing). She was so patient and we talked about school, traveling, her times in Russia, and everything in between. She's a very sweet, genuine, and kind woman. The entire manicure/pedicure took over an hour and a half. She took her time and never made me feel uneasy. After the whole experience she gave me the remaining bottle of nail polish to use for touch ups! So kind. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone in need (or want) of a manicure or pedicure. Eva is great! I went in for the first time last week, and I had a great time. I made my appointment over the phone (they don't take walk ins) and I got a manicure. The manicure itself didn't take too long, though we were chatting throughout so it may have taken a little longer than normal manicures do. That was my favorite part of the manicure actually- that Eva was so easy to talk with. A lot of times I get my nails done and I'm usually ignored, but Eva actually cared about me. She asked me about life and we chatted like we have known each other for a long time. It was great. She did a lovely manicure, and my nails looked great for my first day of work. Mani and pedi with Amy. She is a very nice lady but her job was really disappointing. The pedi took no more than 15 min, barely pushes my cuticles or did a massage. It was basically a change of polish, that I could have done home for free. Mani was a new set of silk. Oh my god, looking at my nails now and they are all bumpy and feel so uneven. Let's not talk about the shape of my nails, had to help her with that. It's not my first time using silk (have had them for nine years before I decided to give my nails a breather) so I know what they should look like. Very mad about the whole experience. Have to change my review. After such a bad experience, I called and went back in. Eva and Lisa made everything right and will absolutely go back again for a mani and pedi with both of them. Experience and customer service count! Dynamic Nails/Eva cares about service and quality of the the pedicure, not the volume of the business. I just moved to the area and wanted to find a day spa that did everything, (waxing, hair, massage, facials) similar to what I had in Austin. When I could find not anything like that with good reviews convenient to my home I decided to take a chance and went with what was recommended on Yelp. Once again, Yelp did not fail me. The pedicure was professional and well done.It was long overdue since I've been busy moving. Now the callouses are gone and my nails are bright and pretty. The lip waxing was quick and less painful than what I am used to but turned out great. Eva did a quick cleanup of my brows as well. Thanks! I found out that someone has a booth for hair in her location so I will try him next. Looks like I may not have one stop shopping for a full service spa but I will have a good portion of my regular services nearby afterall. I feel so lucky to find a good spot right off the bat. Tip: I have found that owner operated businesses always seem to care more about quality. I purchased a voucher on Yelp after having a horrible experience with a salon in Walnut Creek where I ended up with chunky nails and acrylics - not gels. Eva at Dynamic Nails was extremely personable, friendly and accommodating. She did an excellent job on my pedicure and took a lot of care to ensure everything she used was sterilized and safe. She then took on the arduous task of removing the bad acrylics from the other salon, so carefully to ensure she did not hurt me. The end result was really cute, glittery, great quality gel manicure and a lot of great company and conversation. Made an appointment with Lisa for a pedicure and rehab of some acrylics that were yellowed and broken. The salon (and everyone who works there) is welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed and positive. Lisa took the time to explain what she was doing at each step of the process and gave me a set of strong, natural looking acrylics that lasted well through 3 weeks of my normally active lifestyle, including several dunks in Lake Tahoe. I needed to find a nail salon for my 84 year old mother with dementia. She needed a pedicure as I could not trim her nails myself and thought it would be a nice treat, as she had never had one before. I looked on yelp and found that Eva had the best reviews. I actually went to check out her salon personally, before making the appointment. I just walked in and she greeted me right away, in such a warm and welcoming manner. This is exactly what I wanted for my mom's first experience. Not just some nail factory where they ignore you and speak another language during your experience. I made the appointment with her and brought my mom in the next day. Eva was so incredible with my mom. So sweet and patient with her. She spent the time to explain what she was doing and kept my mom laughing and enjoying the experience. When it came time to select a nail color, Eva suggested that I take my mom's lipstick and match it, since my mom loves that color (coral). It looked amazing and my mom was thrilled. Very professional and long lasting results. Eva is a special person, so warm and loving.
