I walked in for a pedicure. First, I didn't see any of the tools in sealed sterile packs. Second,…read morethey didn't have proper toe separators and used twisted paper towels instead. Third, the technician was rushing the entire time and seemed focused on finishing quickly. The polish was applied about a millimeter above the cuticle, and I had to point it out so she could fix it. Their attitude was polite, and the service wasn't terrible, but it wasn't impressive either. I personally wouldn't return.

I was devastated and felt stuck with these thick, dull claws for the weekend.... I jumped on yelp to find somewhere that could help me out and took a chance on Gel Nails Spa and asked for the best nail design tech. Enter Lynn, the nail queen herself. This woman completely rescued my nails. She redid them from scratch and when I say she slayed, I mean she put those other nails to shame. The muted green cat eye she did? Gorgeous. Elegant. Magnetic. The photo does ZERO justice; you just have to see them in person to get it. And shoutout to Julie, who did my French pedicure the night before, as I was just a walk in, because finding someone who can do an extra-square, modern French is basically like finding a unicorn, and she nailed it. Yes I'm picky. Between Lynn's magic touch and attention to details and Julie's precision, this place is IT. I came in sad and left flipping my hair. New salon unlocked.

This place is really good if you need a last minute place to go to…read more The price for my nails was a bit steeper than I expected. Maybe due to the multiple colors or just the time used on it. The technician I had was pretty good and nice. One of the main issues I had though is that their colors are really limited. I wanted a more rainbow color, but their red wasn't quite the correct shade. The green was a bit brighter than I wanted, the blue wasn't bright enough and the purple was too light. So if it's something to improve, I definitely suggest in investing in more colors. The technician also doesn't seem to have a forte in nail design as strokes are clearly uneven. The second issue was just a bit strange as they really push for cash/venmo payments. Then when you pay via Venmo, the owner (or the man who I thought was the owner) told me not to list the reason for payment as their service. Tax evasion? So vibe wise, it's good for a quick job needing to be done. But I think I'd still rather prefer Flamingo in Walnut Creek.

The woman doing my nails, after I changed my mind on the color, made a suggestion that I ended up really liking and they were very accommodating to my grandmother who changed her mind twice about what she wanted. The nails themselves were adequate! The cleanup on my nails was very well done and they did an amazing job with the shape on my grandmother's. The only bad thing I can say is that it took a long time to do the dip powder for her fingernails, but I expected it to be a while anyways. Overall would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to get a simple, clean design with good service.

I've been getting my nails done here for a year and a half. I initially had a structure mani and…read morepedi done at Walnut Creek and had a terrible experience, but I decided to give this location a chance and the experience was much better, initially. I've been every month for over a year and the first few appointments were great and I loved my nails. Over time I liked them less, but I didn't want to put in the effort to find a new salon just yet. But over time I noticed the tech I would always book with seemed inconvenienced to do my nails. I do understand they work hard which is why I tipped 20% everytime, even if I didn't love them, and I was polite and appreciative. Secondly my nails kept breaking super low, even though the gel is supposed to make them sturdier. Now after going to a new salon, I realize it's because she was making them too thick which was causing stress to the nails. Also, they've pushed my appointment back 3 times, and once even moved me to Walnut Creek. And while they called to ask, there was never a courtesy discount or credit offered even though they were inconveniencing me. Yet when I asked to change my color the last time I was there, they didn't have time for that, and they hadn't even applied the color yet. Also, they advertise "flawless nails" yet the times I've asked if something could be fixed they get irritated and gaslight you. I had chrome and I discovered bubbles which I called and asked to be fixed, especially because it's an upcharge. When I got there, they acted like they couldn't see the bubbles. Another time I got a red and the polish came off the tips in about 4 days. When I went back the receptionist had the same color and showed me hers were chipping too and blamed it on the polish. I asked her how long she had it and she said 3 weeks and laughed, so how is that the same as 4 days?? And if the polish is poor quality why have it as an option. When the tech touched up my nails she was clearly pissed and rough with my nails. I think the final straw was them telling me I would need to pay $40 more for single color because my nails are considered long and take more time. While I do understand that, designs are 120/125 and are allocated 2 hours, yet I'd have to pay $140 for single color? Yeah, no thanks. I regret being too lazy to find a new salon sooner.
