A really nice job by Vikki! I had to subtract a star because she was fixing a prior employees polish job, but she made them perfect! They are nice and thin and the polish is perfect. Vikki even called ME when they needed to be fixed to have me come back. That is a salon that cares. Doing a good job is one thing- but integrity is making a not so good job right. I will be going back for sure read more

Mt. Diablo Nails Salon - Acrylic fill with custom design - Nail Salons Near Me - Lafayette, California

This place is really good if you need a last minute place to go to. The price for my nails was a bit steeper than I expected. Maybe due to the multiple colors or just the time used on it. The technician I had was pretty good and nice. One of the main issues I had though is that their colors are really limited. I wanted a more rainbow color, but their red wasn't quite the correct shade. The green was a bit brighter than I wanted, the blue wasn't bright enough and the purple was too light. So if it's something to improve, I definitely suggest in investing in more colors. The technician also doesn't seem to have a forte in nail design as strokes are clearly uneven. The second issue was just a bit strange as they really push for cash/venmo payments. Then when you pay via Venmo, the owner (or the man who I thought was the owner) told me not to list the reason for payment as their service. Tax evasion? So vibe wise, it's good for a quick job needing to be done. But I think I'd still rather prefer Flamingo in Walnut Creek. read more

After my 4th appointment here (so I've given them a fair shot). No greeting upon arrival. Once I had to interrupt them in a side room to get their attention. Adequate service quality but I wouldn't true them with an important event mani. They don't take your phone number so they can't tell you if they are running late. Had an appointment at their first time slot today (their request not mine) and had to wait 20 minutes. Then she left me before doing top coat and I had to go find her 10 minutes later. I'm not sure why they get so many positive reviews. Maybe staffing has changed. It's not hard to say hello and BTW we are running a little late. Communication doesn't cost anything. read more

I used to be a regular here, but unfortunately the quality of the nail services has declined over time. What was once a consistently great experience has become disappointing, and the attention to detail just isn't what it used to be. read more

Good prices for Lafayette. I requested powder dip nails and they do them two ways-one way is with gel on top and the other is with clear nail polish to finish off the manicure, so you have to tell them which one you want. read more

Recently visited with my grandmother to get two gel mani pedis and I have to say, the service was great! The workers are very kind and understanding. The woman doing my nails, after I changed my mind on the color, made a suggestion that I ended up really liking and they were very accommodating to my grandmother who changed her mind twice about what she wanted. The nails themselves were adequate! The cleanup on my nails was very well done and they did an amazing job with the shape on my grandmother's. The only bad thing I can say is that it took a long time to do the dip powder for her fingernails, but I expected it to be a while anyways. Overall would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to get a simple, clean design with good service. read more

I recently moved around here from SF and was so lucky to find such a wonderful nail salon. My favorite part, other than the friendliness, are the guaranteed massages! You'll not regret going here, I highly recommended it! :) read more

I love this place so much! They pay attention to detail, understand style and are all so lovable. I had to find a new nail salon when my go to girl moved back home and I tried Mt. Diablo for my wedding nails a few weeks ago. My wedding is next month and I am 100% going to them right before! Lilian is so good at shaping and making sure the nail isn't too thick. She is always wearing the cutest velvet jumpsuit. I love that she understands what I want without having to explain too much. She is really good at what she does and I adore her. Amy and another woman who works here are the nail tech artists! They're really good at following the designs you show them and take pride in what they do. Be kind and patient any time you get a design and they'll do a great job! My nails are strong and stay on and I am very active with my hands with two powerful dogs and working on a computer all day long. Some days you can walk in no problem but I recommend ALWAYS calling because they also can get very busy. I can tell they have a lot of regulars. They will do everything they can to fit you in. Please treat all of these hardworking professionals with respect as they're all very talented and lovely ! Worth the wait or rescheduling if they're booked but a phone call in advance never hurts :) read more

Got cat eye nails and they're beautiful and strong! Love it. The salon was not busy when I went but I think I just missed the Valentines Day crowd thankfully. I was taken in immediately and got lucky with a great tech- sorry can't recall her name- but she paid attention to detail and my nails turned out awesome. I've gotten tons of compliments. read more

Mt. Diablo Nails Salon - Prices of 10/9/23 - Nail Salons Near Me - Lafayette, California

Today was the first really bad experience here. I have been coming to this nail salon for more than 5 years. I asked for a fill, two of my nails needed to be soaked off since my actual nail was growing onto the old nail. The woman soaks off my nails. Then there was confusion on what I wanted. So after an hour, she finally got the tips on, while trimming down the tip on one of my thumbs she cut me with the scissors. It just little nick. I do not recommend this place just based on that interaction read more

Since my last location closed, this has been an easy service to attend via same-day appointment. While they specialize in gel manicures, I simply get a classic manicure, no gel. They offer eyebrow shape via wax services. read more

I've been coming to this salon for almost two years, but after my most recent experience, I can no longer support this business. On Wednesday, 6/11, I came in for a full set. The manager asked if I wanted Gel-X or acrylic (I usually get acrylic), so I asked about the difference. She explained that Gel-X was better, longer-lasting (2-3 weeks), and healthier for the nails, so I decided to try it. Just a few days later, one of my nails broke. After returning from a trip, I went back to have it repaired. The initial full set cost me $60 plus a $10 tip. The repair was $10, and I left a $2 tip. By the end of that week, more nails began lifting and falling off. On Sunday, 6/22, I called to explain that my nails were coming off less than two weeks after my appointment. I asked if I'd be charged to fix them, but was told just to come in. When I went back, I showed them the damage, including the nail that had just been repaired, which was already cracked and lifting again. At that point, they explained that Gel-X is thinner than acrylic. I wasn't told this originally--if I had known, I would've stuck with acrylic. The technician then asked if I wanted to switch to acrylic, and I agreed, assuming this would be a courtesy fix given the poor quality of the Gel-X set. But in the end, I was charged full price for a new full set. I paid, but later called the salon because I felt that wasn't right. I reminded the manager that I came in on 6/11, and she even questioned if I was sure about the date, which only added to my frustration. In total, I spent $142 in under two weeks on a full set and a fix. Instead of taking accountability, the manager blamed me, saying maybe I use my hands too much. I've been a loyal client for nearly two years and have never had issues like this before. In the end, she only offered to refund the $10 repair--not the full set that didn't hold up--and asked if that was okay. I told her it wasn't. I left feeling dismissed and taken advantage of. It's disappointing when a business doesn't stand behind its work or take responsibility for a poor experience. I won't be returning. read more

Went there in a pinch, saw the reviews and decided to give it a try. I got a gel mani, which was sloppy and began to lift in less than 1 week. My pedi was ok, but it hurt. They use a little device to buff nails and they caught my cuticle a couple of times. The color selection was dismal, mind you- I typically choose similar shades, but I like options! They didn't seem to feel my tip was sufficient, when I said thank you and headed to leave, they were yelling over my head- no direct response to me. I won't be returning. read more

Everything was perfect. They took me without an appointment and my pedicure lasted for a very long time. I can't wait to return.

Since the change in ownership I have noticed many changes for the better! I'm amazed at how many different types of gels, powders, dips, glitters and colors there are to choose from now! My favorite part is they offer a huge selection of gel colors with the matching regular nail polish. I need to have the gel on my fingernails but get regular on my toes. Now I have tons of matching choices :) Vicky is amazing with my nails and Mary is the master of the pedicure with a super deep relaxing foot massage. This is an A+ salon read more

Friendly people, great service. Clean and easy to find parking. My manicure lasted almost two weeks!

they used sterilized tools which was great but other questionable unsanitary practices. Ex: a fake nails fell out of the towel they used on me. Besides that, I have nail polish all over my cuticles. I also felt like when I asked for changes/gave feedback (in a respectful way) I didn't get a response just a look and chatter with their coworker in Vietnamese. Awkward. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this salon. My sister and mother in law are regulars here and they took me here and I got dip. Selena did my nails and she was INCREDIBLE. Meticulous. Kind. And gentle! I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend! read more

I have no idea how they have 4.4 start. Went last week, they did not sanitize properly, use plastic liners but only since metal plug, did not use new nail file or the foam thing they put between toes. Hurt the woman next to me when trimming cuticle, she did not even do paint, another wonan left early complaining about their nails. After the non-sanitary service, my nails are chipping in less than 1 week. I have had pedicures for over 30 years and this is a first. By far the worst pedicure ever. Will not be going back, just hope I do not pick up toenail fungus from the visit. read more

I'm updating my review from 5 stars to 2 starts, because unfortunately the artist who used to do acrylics so well has left (see old picture for reference). Since she's been gone I've tried two new acrylic artists at this salon and each time it's been disappointing. Each artist has been very polite, and the design has been good, but the quality foundation is not there. There's been chipping before week 2 and tons of lifting around the nail. The most recent artist admitted she's only been doing acrylic nails for 2 months and had to keep redoing things so it took 2 hours to do....Had to go to a new salon after all my nails were lifting and pay for a brand new set because they had lifted so much that a fill was off the table. read more
