I also booked with Telma because my normal wax lady did not have the availability I wanted and I refuse to go to EWC!! My first interaction of texting with Telma was bit of a red flag. She did ask for me to come earlier, but I guess since I didn't reply fast enough, that she had booked another client w/in 15 minutes of waiting for my response. When I got there for my appointment she was not there and I had to wait for her to come into the building. Once she got inside she had to prep then I got on the table and the waxing started. I was already kind of taken back by the fact that she was using the kind of wax that requires the paper strips. I am a regular wax / sugaring client so I know the pain the comes with it, but this pain was so much more intense. Once the waxing was finished and I had gotten into my car, I instantly was uncomfortable. When I used the restroom it burned just to wipe, I had my husband look down there and there was multiple pink / red spots from my skin being ripped. I am having to constantly put neosporin on those areas and be super gentle with it. I recommend doing your research before coming and maybe don't book a Brazilian here.

Getting a haircut seemed like a fun a productive way to spend my free time. I know nothing about the area, but I stumbled upon Sole's yelp page and it said that they were offering $20 off to book with Chelsea. I called and without asking, was told the Chelsea was one of the two stylists available during the date and time I requested. Perfect! Guy, who answered the phone was friendly and accommodating and asked a lot of questions about what I wanted to ensure I would have a good experience. It made me feel like they were very professional, and he really talked Chelsea up, saying she was super experienced, but just new to this particular salon, hence the yelp promo. He also gave clear parking instructions on the phone, which I appreciated. The atmosphere was really clean and welcoming, they immediately offered me water or tea. Chelsea was great. I wasn't particular about what exactly I wanted, but she listened and made suggestions and I totally trust her judgement. She was really calculated and took her time with me. I am sure I was her last appointment of the day, but I didn't feel rushed at all. She genuinely wanted to do a great job and I looked and felt great at the end of it. Like I said, I don't live in the area and I only get my hair cut once every two years, but I would still highly recommend this place and Chelsea. So if you do live in the area and need a haircut, give her a try.

I'm extra picky when it comes to lashes... since I spent over 20 years working as a makeup artist, I know what I like! I've been going to her for years for making my lashes beautiful. Every time I have an event where I want to look extra special (such as a vacation, wedding, professional photos, or a party or festival..) I go see Sam for lash extensions and she makes my eyes pop in such a glamorous yet natural way. I've been to many other lash specialists and their extensions looked overdone, too thick, clumpy, or heavy and super obvious but Sam has a technique that looks so natural yet full of volume and length. I literally get strangers complimenting me on my pretty lashes with her extensions:) and they can't believe they aren't naturally mine. In between special events or when I don't want the upkeep of lash extensions, I go to Sam for lash lifts, lash tinting and lash keratin treatments (to keep them strong & healthy.) I love the way my natural lashes look after this service! When I'm not wearing makeup the lash lift really opens my eye and looks so pretty. They are the curly lashes I always dreamed of having and the lash tint accentuates my lashes without wearing mascara. Then for weeks after the lash lift, when I wear mascara my lashes look extra amazing and I don't need as much mascara to show off my lashes.
