Tanya has been my go-to for male grooming for over five years, and I can confidently say her work is exceptional. She consistently delivers a precise, professional service--whether it's nose hair, eyebrows, or ear trimming, everything is handled with care, discretion, and attention to detail. Tanya creates a comfortable, relaxed experience while maintaining the highest standards, which is not easy to find. What sets her apart is her consistency and pride in her work--you always leave looking sharp and well put together without it ever feeling overdone. I wouldn't trust anyone else. Honestly, wives--do your husbands a favor and send them to Tanya. You'll notice the difference immediately. read more

Love Tonya. I've been going to her for years, before kids. Then I took a break since priorities changed. Years later, I'm going to her again. She is the best in the area. Very warm and you just feel well cared for. A quaint little cottage spa for some self care. read more

It's been YEARS since I've seen Tonya and I still miss her every time I need a was. EVERY. TIME. She has been extremely helpful with skincare tips and works on building a relationship with her clientele. She is patient but quick and super communicative/responsive. If I'm ever back in the area and need a service done, she's my go-to. I've referred all my friends to her. I may even make the 1.5 hour drive just to start going back to her. I also rarely ever leave Yelp reviews but truly miss her so much that I had to get online to leave a review. read more

Tonya is great. She chats you up with a gusto when she feels you need it (say, during your first Brazilian ever) and stays quiet when you're falling asleep on her cushy soft waxing bed. These prices are so so so so reasonable for quality of service that exceeds all others. From the minute I walked in, she passed the "be-especially-comforting-and-accommodating" test with flying colors. She offered me a trip to her little bathroom before starting. And assured me we'd take it slow, talking me through the whole process with her clear optimistic voice. It was Tonya who voluntarily popped a blackhead near my eyebrow without a thought (using a handy sterile metal tool of course) . And did my eyebrows the exact way I wanted (really difficult to find for somebody who doesn't want super arched exaggerated or trendy brows here in the states.) She studied me. Heard me. And acted accordingly. And the result showed. It was Tonya who switched from hard to soft wax in order to get ALL my baby peach fuzz with un-hurried, meticulous energy. And it was Tonya who offered me a tip on how to keep my random every which way eyebrow hairs in line (that nobody else ever bothered to mention, assuming I'm just a lost cause.) I found a reliable hidden gem in this unassuming cottage-looking mini-mall next to Safeway. When I'm back in Lafayette, you can bet I'll be going here for all my waxing needs, until either one of us dies. I'm a fan. However one critique I might add is that I would've appreciated some practical after-care thoughts on my Brazilian given that she knew it was my first time. But she did say I was an easy wax so maybe she felt I wasn't too badly hurt by it. And indeed when I looked down at my nethers I looked bald, soft, and not red at all. As if I'd just been pulled from the womb. read more

I have been seeing Tonya for many years. I took my Daughter and in law to see her. We all love Tonya.

Tonya has been great with my teenagers eyebrow waxing, very gentle and patient, she's great to help calm nerves! her work is excellent!

I'm so happy that Tonya has moved to a new location that is quieter, has easy parking, and where your treatment won't be interrupted by the salon owner bursting into the room while you're trying to relax. Tonya does fantastic facials that are very reasonably priced and include a ton of extras like hand massages, customized masks, and vitamin treatments that cost extra at other day spas. The level of service and value keep me driving across the bridge to the East Bay instead of looking for aestheticians here in San Francisco. The greatest compliment I can give Tonya is that I don't have to hide for the rest of the day after one of her treatments. I have sensitive skin, and other facials have left me wishing for a Phantom of the Opera mask. I've also lost my fear of waxing due to Tonya's gentle touch. I wish her lots of success in the new space. She's running some specials now, so it's a good time to try her out. You won't be disappointed. read more

I was recently referred to Tonya by my wonderful hairstylist and friend whom I have seen for the past 19 years. I needed to find a new esthetician as the other esthetician and friend I had also seen for the same length of time had recently moved out of State. Best referral ever! Tonya is amazing. She is a warm, effusive person who makes you feel at ease immediately and has personality plus. Where her business is located has great access and ease of parking and every comfort and privacy is also afforded for your visit. Do yourself a favor and visit her soon! read more

Excellent skin care at a competitive price. Tonya's caring and warm personality shine through while she provides great service. Her new location is private and comfortable with easy access and parking. read more

I had my first appointment with Tonya yesterday and she is wonderful. She is gentle and does a great job. Her salon is up to date with all the COVID requirements and is very conscientious about her clients. I will definitely return. read more

Tonya, of Tonya Caprice Skincare, is wonderful, caring, knowledgeable, and thorough in everything she does. A wonderful trait in a human, and even more so when they happen to be your esthetician! I always feel totally pampered and at ease when I'm in her beautiful, soothing room, and in her very capable, and gentle hands. She also has this fabulous little extra that she performs-a nice paraffin hand dip. Love it!!! Her new location is very convenient, as I live in Newark, and work in Danville. I just pop over to Lafayette, and it's just a hop off the freeway! I recommend her to everyone that comes into my salon(I'm a stylist), and frankly, her prices just can't be beat, especially for the service you receive! In our present times, quality for the price is important! She has a vast array of facials to choose from, though I let her choose, as she always seems to know what's best, and I always leave looking normal, which is a big plus if you have anything to do after you leave. Just so you know, she is a great Brazilian waxer, gives a mean spray tan at an unbeatable price, and even does threading-for your brows, silly! Treat yourself. You'll be happy you did! read more

Tonya and her establishment, they're both gems! After purchasing a half off airbrush tan from living social, I called over to make an appointment. Tonya was so nice and accommodating and gave me a late Friday night slot, so I could make it after work. I had never received a spray tan before, so I didn't know what to expect. But I went in there ready for anything. And it's a good thing I was ready! It's not every Friday night I stand naked, bearing all and standing in awkward poses in a tent while someone sprays me (believe it or not). Tonya is the perfect balance of friendly, personable, and professional. I felt comfortable with her immediately and conversation and laughs ensued once the tanning process began. Tonya was amazing. She customized my color, and hand sprayed me all over without any streaks, blotches, or uneven color. My tan came out flawless... and REALLY, REALLY tan!! It was an eye opening experience! I was a lot darker than my natural skin would ever allow me to get... and it's all cancer free! Yay!! read more

Been coming here for over 10 years for spray tanning. Tonya is a great soul with positive energy and experience. I've never looked orange or had a blotchy job here - she's always great and on time! read more

I received one of Tonya's signature facials four days ago and my face still feels nurtured and revived (even with a party weekend in between). I don't remember all the steps that were included (so many!), even though throughout she informed me what the yummy products she was using were. It was pretty much bliss for 70 minutes, except for the extractions. Yeah, we gotta have them taken care of too. She also took care of some straggling ear hairs. You know, I'm happy I can count on someone to pay attention to those little suckers. She also included a massage of arms, hands, neck and shoulders while my face was busy transforming. Aaaah! Tonya brings everything I like about being pampered to her high-quality sessions; attention to my needs, warmth, peace, wisdom, great products and a touch of humor. read more

Tonya is sooooo amazing! She is super friendly and makes you feel completely relaxed. I've seen her for both tanning and bikini waxing. She's great at both. And when I needed to get in quickly she came in on a day off for me. Who does that?! I love going to her. I highly recommend her to everyone! read more

Tonya is AMAZING! I had my first facial ever today at the age of 63. Boy, I didn't know what I've been missing. Can't wait to go back!

Tonya is absolutely amazing. Super friendly and very professional. I've come to her twice now for brazilian waxes and each time took under 20 minutes. Tonya's pricing is very very fair and if it takes her less than half an hour to finish your wax (dependent upon how "hairy" you are), she will charge you only $40 (a generous discount from regular price $55). This is awesome for Asian girls fyi! The 2nd time I came, Tonya remembered me and details from our conversation during my first visit 3 months prior. Now that's the way to do business and establish repeat customers! read more

Decided to treat myself to a facial for my birthday and after doing some research, ultimately decided on Tonya. Am SO glad I did! Definitely the best facial and overall skincare experience I've ever had. After having a string of stressful weeks and just not feeling great about my skin in general, this felt especially therapeutic and calming. I walked out feeling like my feet were barely touching the ground. Seriously. Tonya is incredibly friendly, easygoing, knowledgeable and sensitive to her clients' needs. And she also boosted my self-esteem about my self-professed skin issues, which was an added plus! She's more than happy to explain the products she's using without trying to sell them to you, and her massage skills are exceptional. Everything she uses smells amazing and feels soothing-nothing stung or irritated my often-sensitive skin. She also works in a lovely, relaxing space-and did I mention that there's a heated bed? I know I'll be back! read more

Tonya is the best. She's kind, friendly and talkative -- basic requirements for any bikini waxer -- but she's also clearly happy in her line of work. It's always a pleasure to go see her, and she makes you feel the same way. She works fast, but not at the expense of your bikini line, and her workspace is comfortable and calm. I usually come in after work, and she's never one to turn down an appointment because 6:30 is too late. Her prices are also some of the fairest that I've ever seen in the Bay Area. Just note: Her Skincare office is IN Hot Brazil Tanning Salon. Don't go all the way up the hill, like I did. Yep, I did. read more

I've been coming to Tonya for the last couple of months now for her waxing services and facials. She is easy to get ahold of and, thank God, she makes weekday evening appointments!! SCORE!! This makes it so convenient for me to come in after work. Her business operates out of the Hot Brazil tanning salon, so don't expect to see any obvious signage for her from the parking lot. Always tons of space to park though and the salon is small and quiet. Tonya's room is cozy, clean, and serene. Now, down to business... Tonya is so sweet and easy going. She makes the whole waxing process as painless as possible and keeps you chatting all the while to keep your mind occupied. She walks me through each step of the way and makes sure I am comfortable the whole time, which I appreciate. She does a great job each time I've been back! Her facials are wonderful. Tonya's gentle, but she'll get all the extractions done effectively. Not to mention she gives great massages! My skin felt incredibly smooth and soft afterwards and I didn't break out further from any treatments she used. I'm such a fan! read more

First of all, if I could give Tonya more stars, I would. Tonya is warm, kind, thoughtful, and interested in her clients. I have been going to see Tonya for waxing services for the last few years, and I am constantly amazed at how much she remembers about my life! She is more than my esthetician, she is my friend, and someone I look forward to seeing on a regular basis. On top of that, she is meticulous, extremely clean (no double dipping), and highly conscientious about my level of comfort. Nothing fazes her, and she is confidential about her client relationships. She works so hard at her business because she truly cares about her clients- something that is not so common anymore. I have referred my friends and family to see Tonya, and they all agree that she is absolutely wonderful. If you come to see her, you will certainly be in the right hands. read more

Tonya is AMAZING and one of a kind!!! She has been in the business for many years and truly is a skincare expert. Tonya has relocated to a new location in Lafayette, and although I was skeptical about the new location, I was pleasantly surprised that it was perfect. She now has a large, private room, in a quiet location. Parking is simple and right in front of the salon location. Tonya not provides amazing facials tailored specifically to each client. She is sure to choose the products that will benefit your complexion, and I know personally that the last few facials I have had, she has had to change the products due to the changes in my skin. She puts the thought and care into everything she does, letting you what she is putting on your face, what it will do for you, just very careful to explain everything so you feel 100% comfortable with her services. It doesn't help that Tonya also does amazing wax services, I enjoy my eyebrows now that she has trained them to do what they're supposed to do! I have to admit, that I'll never shave my underarms again after having Tonya wax them! I have 110% trust and faith in Tonya and her services and would gladly recommend anyone to at least try her services once, you'll be hooked! read more

Just discovered Tonya, in a word fabulous! She took care to ask questions about how I like my brows waxed and problems/concerns with my skin. She made to waxing relatively comfortable, doing one side completely and then fine tuning before doing the other side. She made great recommendations. Facial was equally good, she tailored it to my skin type. She made up some samples for me to try at home. Parking was easy, the room comfortable, music was good. I will be going back. read more

My sister and I swooped up on the living social coupon for a Brazilian. I thought it would be nice to do along w/ a brow and lip and spray tan for my wedding. Tonya does it all so I emailed Tonya to set up an appointment to get my sister, mother and I pampered. It was the first time my sister and I had ever gotten a Brazilian so we were kind of nervous. She waxed each of us first and then flipped the room and sprayed. I went first. I was so nervous but Tonya really makes you feel comfortable. She is really easy to talk to and you kind of forget that you are totally exposing all your goods to her. The room was freezing but I soon got really hot. She even gave me a hand fan to help w/ the umm... stress.... Her work was awesome. My brows, lip, and the rest was nicely waxed. She then flipped the room and sprayed us. She makes sure to use her air fan to dry the tanner and get those tough spots. After she was done I put on my sun dress and the straps were a little too tight and messed it up a bit but she fixed it no problem. She even said if something happened to let her know and she would fit me in. My only complaint was my spray was kind of dark. I came back that night and my cousins were like DANG! But it faded to be perfect for Saturday. If I lived closer I would come back more often. read more

The reviews don't lie people! Tonya is fabulous. I've only been for waxing & she makes the unpleasant as pleasant as possible. She is very sweet & a little chatter bug - which makes the time fly by! Her prices are great & the place smells wonderful - can't wait to try her facials - the people coming out of her room are always so complimentary & booking their next appointment...which should tell you something!! read more

Tonya is amazing!! Her waxing & facial techniques are really the best! Her brazilians are really painless & she has a great sense of humor that keeps you distracted the whole time. I've had a few facials with her and I have to say I'm addicted. They leave you feeling very relaxed, at peace and with a glow. And to top it all off - she is the sweetest! She really does go out of her way to accommodate your needs. Wow, what an experience, this was no ordinary facial. This was "I've died and gone to heaven". You are in drankened room with soft music playing, under a heated blanket as she alternated various potions on you face, and while the potions are working their magic, you get a fantastic massage to boot! Doesn't get much better that that. I left feeling rejuvinated, refreshed, and relaxed. My skin glowed. It was wonderful read more

I feel so bad, I should have wrote this review months ago. Tonya is the absolute best. Tonya is amazing. First, she is very reasonably priced for waxing services even though she's in Lafayette. She listens really well to what you want. She gives you suggestions or recommendations when you ask for them. And she talks to you if you want her to and she doesn't if you don't! And it's nice that it's her own business and so you always get her and not some other person that you have to explain what you want each time. read more
