    Pierogies absolutely delicious
    Ashley T.

While wondering around downtown St Augustine before an event we stumbled upon this charming spot and I was craving pierogis so we decided to check it out. Now I am the type of person that is basically craving pierogis 24/7 but not all pierogis are crave worthy. I am very pleased to say these were absolutely pierogis worth craving! Also the people that work there made everyone that walked in feel like family which also makes me crave going back! I got the assortment of pierogis and each one was delicious! My favorite was the one with mushrooms but really I don't think you could go wrong with any of the options. I also ordered the dessert pierogis to go and shared them with a group of people we all agreed they were a perfect treat! If you are looking for a place to grab a bite I would highly suggest checking this place out.

You first walk into the charming place from an alleyway off one of my favorite streets in downtown St. Augustine.. Aviles Street. Once inside you immediately realize how special this gem is.. and you have not even had the food yet! We had a variety of pan fried pierogis, topped with onions (you can add bacon too!) and sour cream. The Horiatiki salad was so good with tons of feta and ripe tomatoes. The Greek salad was also very traditional and tasty. Lentil soup was special.. but the Yemista was so full of flavor we may have to go back just for it again. Worse part was the bread.. and that was easy enough to avoid lol. A definite must when you visit the ancient city for sure!

Had lunch at this place which has authentic Polish & Greek food. Food was delish. Service was good. Ambiance could be better with some upgrades inside, however, all the time we were there, they played lovely music from these two countries. If you are in the area, try this place out, and consider sharing your experiences. Happy meals!

This was such an awesome little find tucked away in an alleyway, the only reason we knew about it was because our trolley driver mentioned it was his favorite restaurant in st augustine. It was a chillier day so pierogis sounded amazing! We started with the Greek sampler platter that had tzatziki, eggplant salad, and hummus as well as olives and tomatoes. It was served with warm pita and other types of bread SO GOOD. We also had the grape leaves which were extremely tasty with feta, tomato and onion. I had their borsch (theirs was warm) with beet cubes and mushroom dumplings OUTSTANDING. For mains, i had the blueberry pierogis which were so unique i had to try. The only problem is they are pretty sweet they come with sour cream but also whipped cream and brown sugar. Still delicious but i wished i chose a cheese and potato. My friend had a stew that came with 4 savory pierogis and she really enjoyed it. you can tell this place is authentic! Waiter was quick and helpful. One thing is the indoor seating is freezing so bring a coat or sit outside like we did.

Mustard- best part of the meal.

Meh. Wanted authentic kielbasa, what we got was like Hillshire Farm. Mustard was really good. Made the sausage tolerable. Pierogis were good, but nothing special. Expensive for what you get. $75 for three people. Gyro wasn't lamb, pretty sure it was grisly pork. While it's a nice alternative to have for variety over fast food, it's not going to satisfy anyone looking for real Greek or Polish fare.

Stopped in for lunch on Saturday when restaurant opened. This place has a unique menu of Greek and Polish food. This is a small cafe with about 8 tables. No outside tables. The food and service were excellent. We were a party of four. We ordered spinach pie, gyro, pierogis, Greek sampler platter, and baklava. The portions are large. Food seemed all home made. Hours are 11-6 pm, closed on Tuesday. No parking as it is in the historic district. Best to walk or Uber.

The food is always really tasty. We've been here several times and it never disappoints. I ordered the stuffed cabbage platter that comes with pierogies. I ordered the plum sweet pierogies and they were the most delicious tasting pierogies I've ever had. My husband got just pierogies and was not disappointed. My youngest son ordered the kielbasa platter and blueberry pierogies. He said the sauerkraut was the best he's had! My oldest son had the hunters stew and loved it too! Service was excellent and helpful. The restaurant was packed for a Saturday afternoon but we could talk and not have to yell. Definitely recommend if you love Greek food or Polish. One of our places to eat.

One of our favorite spots in St. Augustine. Very quaint- only a handful of tables . The vibe is very casual, homecooked hearty meal. The food is amazing and the servings are hefty. The server was super friendly and knowledgeable. We had the kielbasa lunch special with meat peirogis and Bigo, and then potato and cheese pierogis. Yum!

This is their Krupnik (Barley Soup). Absolutely delicious on a cold day. (Only available in certain times of the year)

I've spent a lot of time in St. Augustine, yet yesterday was my first experience at this hidden gem. The food was fresh and delicious. A little more pricey than I expected, but I feel it was well worth the amount and the flavor of the food. Everyone there was friendly and willing to give suggestions on the menu. The restaurant is small, but it conveys a homey, relaxed environment. I highly suggest you check them out on your next trip!

Authentic, homemade polish and Greek dishes! I am so happy I stumbled across this gem.. It felt like I was sitting in my grandparents kitchen. The spicy coconut soup was savory and kept us guessing on the ingredients. The pierogis were freshly homemade and flavorful and the "small" Greek salad was huge with large portion of gyro meat. Highly recommend, I am visiting St. Augustine for a short time and I am even tempted to return!

AMAZING hospitality especially during busy seasons-- food was fantastic and we all enjoyed the more unique beer and wine selection. atmosphere was perfect:)

Outstanding Polish and Greek fare in old town - bring a basket so you can take home some of the goods and your leftovers! We were in twice, snd got to sample several dishes, each of which was mouthwateringly delicious. Chug down some Czech ale with your meal or choose from one of the many unique beer offerings. Staff was great, we had a blast with Radic. The space is small but comfy with tons of memorabilia as well as a few outdoor tables. No reservations so get there early, go for lunch, or bring your patience!

Radi served us Cappucino with happy faces.

What a hidden gem! We only found it thanks to typing in "lunch near me" on yelp while in the Ancient City today!!! Gaufres is like waffle in French, Radi our beautiful server is from Bulgaria, and on the menu you have favorites of people who may be Polish or maybe even Greek? We should have asked more questions, bc there are pages of Polish, Hungarian & Greek foods, plus a wonderful regional wine and liqueur list as well as some lovely hand - painted bottles of cordials and liqueurs on display & for sale. They do even serve different varieties of waffles! not to mention Greek favorites such as gyros and spanakopita. And if we could have nibbled on one more item after the shared lunch that was more than we could eat, the desserts in the case all looked heavenly, from baklava w/wo chocolate, baklava cheesecake, & cookies to Polish cheesecake and more! We ordered glasses of crisp light white wine from Serbia/Herzegovina regions. Then we decided to share a bowl (cup would have sufficed!) of the Hunters Stew, and a dish called Golumpki Combo: 4 different homemade pierogies stuffed with meat, potato, sauerkraut, & spinach. All were delicious and I know my husband will love his favorite sauerkraut stuffed. Radi told us that 99% of everything is prepared and made in house; the bread is from a local bakery. What a treat for something unique and different. They've been open since 2005 and diners seemed to be repeat guests. So glad we found you!!! We will be back. We can't wait! Food, service, ambience. Even the old wallpaper and chipped paint just add to the rustic look with the vintage Polish plates etc. in cabinets and in the walls. like stepping into Old World Europe.

I was a bit early for my pickup, and while I waited I was even offered a water. It smells so incredible in here that I was already so excited for my meal. I ordered the Polish plate, because it's my first experience trying Polish cuisine. I wanted an opportunity to try many different dishes, and this plate included Golabki, Potato & Cheese Pierogis, Potato Pancakes, and one Polish Sausage. A friend of mine raved about his mother's golabki for years, so naturally I started my meal with that. Wow, it was incredible! It almost reminded me of a spaghetti dish with its vivid tomato flavor. I really love that the roll holds together well when you're eating it with a knife and fork. I'm going to ask my friend for a recipe because it seems like it would be a good go to meal. I think my next favorite item was the polish sausage. I do enjoy eating sausages, but sometimes I'm just not a fan of how some are seasoned. That wasn't a problem with this polish sausage, because it was delicious and flavored just to my liking. Now pierogis I have tried before, and I'm not sure if they are polish origin or a neighboring country, but I have always enjoyed them. These cheese and potato pierogis were exactly as I expected them. They were cooked well and stuffed with filling. I shared a few with my nephew who is a bit picky, and to our surprise he was enjoying them. I would definitely give another flavor option a try! The final item was the potato pancakes and I think they were cooked well, but I think I would have preferred a little more salt to bring out the flavor. I plan to research Polish food after this visit and see how each dish is usually eaten. There were 3 condiments that accompanied my meal, but I didn't use them. For the most part, each dish was delicious all on its own. The Polish plate is definitely enough to share between 2 people, and you'd probably have just enough room for dessert as well. I know the pistachio cheesecake will definitely see me, if I find myself in the Daytona beach area again! Thank you Dill Schnitzel & Pierogi House for an amazing first experience with Polish cuisine!

It was literally steps to the beach so that was nice to stroll out there before/after. After poking around some shops, I made my way upstairs to Dill! The place is cute and colorful! Loved the European decor! I was there on a Tuesday night and there were only 2 other tables sat so pretty dead at the time. Server was lovely, cheerful, and helpful! They don't have a full bar but do serve beer and wine so was able to get a glass of vino. I really wanted schnitzel and pierogies but unfortunately you can only get the pierogies by the dozen (unless you get the big combo meal which comes with 6 rogis and a shit ton of other food). Problem was, I had a 6am flight the next morning so no way I would be able to eat any leftovers. I asked if there was ANY way I could just get like 2 rogis and she unfortunately said no (I totally get it, but maybe add smaller options in the future!). So I went with a cup of borscht soup and the pork schnitzel. The soup was served hot (I've only ever had it cold) and was very good! The schnitzel was legit the biggest schnitzel I've ever seen in my life and it's a GOOD THING I didn't get rogis in addition to it lol. I immediately cut it in half and was only able to eat that much. I got the mushroom sauce too and that was so yummy with the schnitzel! The potatoes and slaw were very good too, loved how refreshing the slaw was!! You would never think to look for this kind of food in Daytona of all places, but it's definitely worth a stop! If I had anyone dining with me, I could see getting a few dishes to split because of how large the schnitzel was. Wonderful place with great service and delicious food, just wish I was able to try those rogis!

It has a large menu with many sandwiches, meats, sausages, among other great stuff to choose from. Our first moments here began by just navigating around the restaurant to see what it was all about. There are large number of wine and beer selections. Though I abstain from alcoholic beverages, I would guess that most are of the European variety - they have beer on the tap setup across from the dessert counter. After the quick self-tour and a conversation with the manager, we lodged in our seats and got ready to order. I actually was hoping the cafe offered speciality coffee like a latte, but that was quickly dashed when the server said they only served regular or decaf coffee. Initially I was disappointed but ordered one anyway. When it arrived and I dressed it up a little with some Splenda and Coffee Mate, I found it to be one the best regular cups of coffee I've had in a long time. We took a while to order because it is a sizable menu. However, I was sold immediately on the Rueben sandwich selections and just need to pick one. I settled on the classic Rueben, which was a mix of corned beef, pastrami, sauerkraut, cheese, a superb Thousand Island-type dressing on pumpernickel bread - it was delicious from start to finish! I will note that you can choose other breads and cheeses with the Ruebens. Some options may come at added cost. I'm glad it was large enough to take some home with me. My dearest chose the turkey Parisian. This was a splendid choice with a nice mix of excellent deli turkey, Brie, raspberry sauce, cucumber, and lettuce on a large croissant. Both sandwiches were more than worth the price of admission! Our server displayed excellent courtesy and care throughout our eating experience. I greatly appreciate the manager taking time to chat with me as well. I really felt good at European Street Cafe! With the fantastic artistry on the walls, the large setting of wooden tables and chairs well-spaced and well-organized on both sides of the interior has the look of a classic cafe that has been around for a good number of years. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and has a nice outdoor patio area not far from the entrance. I think I found a great place to visit when I crave a Rueben sandwich! The interior is quaint and casual with a beautiful bar, and a really unique store that sells candy and beer from all over the world. Sometimes I go just for that. It's a really cool experience. The outside eating area here is probably the best around. Nicely decorated area, tables and umbrellas and just a great place to eat on a nice day. Dogs are welcome, which is a plus for us. The beer selection and Happy Hour specials are the best around. If you like beer, this is the best place you could go in the Riverside/Avondale area. It's also a very underrated location for dessert. You could stop in to grab something from their cake, pie or cookie selection. The cookies are INCREDIBLE. I've also had the carrot cake (very nice), the peanut butter chocolate pie (solid) and their pecan pie (very good). The menu for food is vast, there are a ton of choices, it centers around sandwiches (there are salads as well) and there's something for everyone. I've always liked the fiery turkey sub and the mufaletta. They're really solid. Very good breakfast sandwiches as well. When you get a side of chips though, it is literally chips out of a bag. I feel like they could probably do something better there, but that's my only constructive criticism. We stopped by last night for a cookie. It's a dessert, it's massive. If you carry out, 15-20 seconds in the microwave and dig in. The waiter told me to read the rules that stated that dogs are not allowed on laps (there is no such rule). The waiter then proceeded to tell me that he knows others who live in my building who have told him that we have been thrown out of other places (gossipy cashier who pretends to be a friend). Anyway, the food is nothing to write home about. The tables are never wiped down between customers. This particular waiter and his manager are downright rude and irritating. There are so many other places to go, including the European Street Cafe in San Marco where they are much friendlier. My companion told me that her late husband had trouble with this waiter, too. Skip it. There are just too many good places to go to bother with these folks who apparently get up on the wrong side of their beds all too frequently. And they are the only place in town with patio rules!!! Next, they will ban children.
