What went well? Where should I start? Walking down the Ocean Blvd, Long Beach CA., and right off is Gaucho Beach Restaurant. The place has this great open feel and good vibes. I stopped off to use the restroom and we ended up staying for lunch. Kamilah T., she's everything. She made the whole experience lunching at Gaucho Beach amazing! I want to thank her for the superb service she provided. Do what you do, young lady. It's always about first impressions. Moving on to the drinks, nothing short of being delicious. In addition to the drinks, the food ( Deep-Fried Calamari, and Fish & Chips), everything was cooked to perfection , just golden brown and muy delicious. See for yourself. If ever in the area, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. My husband and I love good food, good vibes, and good experiences and this place has all three. Showed up for lunch today. The woman at the check in said would be a 10 minute wait. I asked if she needed my name. She said no, just to wait in front of the check in stand. She told several others the exact same thing. She then disappears. Twenty-five mins go by! No one is seated. She finally comes back and everyone starts asking her about tables--mind you she told everyone 10 mins and we're now creeping up to 30 mins. She has no idea who was there before who because she didn't take names. But those of us waiting (which by that point was at least 6 different parties) kind of regulated the line order ourselves. It's finally my turn. She asks if I was to sit in the giant communal table in the middle. It had been open the whole time. She told another party previously they couldn't sit there? I said no because one side was in the sun. So 3 of us would have to sit in a line on the shaded side. I said I'd wait for the next table. She then seats another group who had come in behind me at a better table that I would have clearly taken! I ask her about it. She's confused--again she has done zero line management and is acting like she's never managed seating before. I then ask how long until I can be seated since she now skipped me in the line. She says 20 mins! Which means I would have been waiting a total of 55 mins! Like gurl what?! I go inside and ask to speak to a manager. Was directed to a man with dreads. Explain what happens. He's very dismissive and rude. Tells another server to tell Gabby who I assume is the confused woman at the check stand to take names. But does absolutely nothing to address me or my issue like a good manager would. The server he told to tell Gabby about the list actually tried to help. She offered me a strangely situated table inside which is not where you want to sit at this restaurant. But by this time given the check in debacle, rude manager and seeing the food coming out, I wasn't going to sit in an inside crappy table to get food that didn't look good. Would much rather support other businesses in that area. Do better! Like wayyy better. read more

I'm a local and was excited to see this place open. Pros: Ambience is great. Drinks look great. Location is awesome for big parties or couples. Food: I went for brunch on Saturday. Potatoes are really dry, came lukewarm, and have this chalky powder on them. Lobster omelette had a good amount of lobster on it. Salad was old. Dressing was good but you could tell salad was not fresh. Steak was 6/10, good steak but nothing to be wowed by. Side note - no servers, guests sat themselves and ordered off their phones. I didn't mind this but if you were expecting service, this is not the place for you. I'd recommend this place for drinks only, food isn't that great. read more

Seen this place on tik tok, loved everything about it, the ambiance was great, food was amazing. Must try the mussels, kbbq bites & skirt steak sandwich, fries were perfect, crispy and tasty. Strawberry margarita was delicious, but the Raspberry lemon drop, was by far my favorite cocktail. Scenery of the beach, with the perfect music in the background. Service was great. I was really looking forward to give this place a shot, especially because I really enjoyed the empanadas at their window cafe but I really had less than positive first experience. I went on a busy Sunday for brunch and you're not assigned a table, it's first come first serve. Well getting a table was like the hunger games. A fellow patron who out weighed me by several weight classes, used intimidation to get me out of the table. Other patrons felt so bad and were disgusted by what they witnessed that they offered me their table. I think reservations or having a host or a hostess would go a long way in improving the dining experience. Food was decent, I enjoyed my burger and margarita flight, it's a little pricey but that's to be expected with the amazing view and ambiance this restaurant provides. I'm not sure if I'll give them another chance, maybe I'll go back when they change their seating process or at the very least when it's less busy. read more

Great open air spot right on the sand in Long Beach! Went for the first time for a friend's birthday and the vibes were great! Live jazzy band was playing some great tunes - when I walked in they were playing a smooth latin jazz version of Malumas Hawaii. The craft cocktail menu had some pretty creative options. I was doing a 30 day no alcohol sober october and they were able to make mocktail versions of pretty much any cocktail on the list. One of my mocktails came out in a smokey glass box - 5 stars for the presentation and the drink was delicious. Didn't get a chance to eat but my girlfriend tried the shrimp taquitos and said they were bomb - she ate them all before I could try one lol. Great location and ambiance. Right at the beach, modern Argentinian food. Sat up stairs on the second floor overlooking the beach. It was all going so well...until I ordered. My girl was most excited about their drinks as they looked fantastic on their menu. She ordered her favorite, a strawberry basil margarita($16). To her surprise, they gave it to her in a plastic cup. There was a massive basil leaf inside the cup and a tiny strawberry. Didn't look at all like the actual drink they were promoting and the plastic cup was distasteful and off-putting. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and told my girl to order another drink as I wanted to give her the experience she was looking forward to. She ordered the white sangria($16) next. Promoted in a wine glass with a stem and full of fruit, we got a glass this time, but no stem, with a few berries. Not at all like the picture again. The drinks were a bust. Oh well maybe the food will be better. I ordered the soft shell crab sandwich($22) with Gaucho beans. Beans were promoted as pinto beans with some kind of bell pepper. I got a side of black beans with no flavor at all. The sandwich was alright. Not bad, but not great. Definitely don't recommend for $22. My girl got the Choripán($15) which is an Argentinian style hotdog. She said it was pretty good. Overall, I felt scammed by the false advertisement and lack of flavor in my food. The prices wouldn't have been too bad if I would have gotten what they were promoting. I think this place has a lot of potential and I'm excited for their future as they just opened a few days ago, but first they gotta clean up their mess, make sure they're stocked on food so half the menu isn't sold out, and read these reviews if they wish to improve and provide the experience I know they want to give. Amazing restaurant with beautiful beach front dining! We loved this place. Delicious food and stunning views. We came here for our first time and had a the inferno margarita (so good!) and sangria with a beef Milanese sandwich and the skirt steak (Entrana - very good!). The restaurant is self seating and you order everything on the QR code and it gets brought it your table. Every table has a view of the beach and the staff and service are amazing and super nice! overpriced and the food wasn't good. you have to order on your phone and the sun glare is ridiculous can't I accidentally ordered two drinks and they just made me two drinks they didn't even question it even though I had ordered another drink- a double so two people get 4 drinks automatically ? do I want to be snookie looking for the beach? We are too old for that. luckily the drinks were super weak. They were pretty though. You can use the patio without paying for anything just put some little ones in your purse.
