    Peace of mind..

Since my first instance meeting Don on the initial service call, to the actual gold service coil replacement and additional preventative maintenance performed by a "Best in Class" team, we have no doubt about choosing Garner for our AC delema. My home is now freezing cold, and my wife is no longer suffering from heat anxiety (which make me a happy guy). Its been a month now, so as a former tech myself, thats all peaches for me. Checking prices with other companies in the area and speaking with local service people, I had to go with a team which had a 5 star rating. If I have to pay for quality, these guys are worth it. Happy to finally have people on our side.

Not sure how we arrived to this point of complete disappointment and frustration going from an amazing 5 star rating to now this 1 star rating. We unfortunately have had several issues with our Air Conditioning System not properly working since we first had it installed 4 years ago and you always send a technician out and they end up repairing or replacing defective non working parts. One big reoccurring problem we have several different times was installation of the drip line that runs from the inside to the outside. This drip line was a big problem due to how it was apparently improperly installed causing it not to function which shutting off the compressor every time there was a backup. This past hot summer in June our AC of course decides to completely shutdown and not cool which was a nightmare. Matt was the technician that comes out this time and did his check list inspections and testing to check all of the different areas of our unit inside and out. When he was finished he explained that he had 2 options available for me to decide to resolve this matter one was to either pay $3600.00 plus tax for replacement of new parts basically almost the same price as a new system or he could add some refrigerant for $900.00 to the system that has a 50/50 chance of even working. Well I ended up doing the $900 option of adding refrigerant. Before adding the refrigerant He said he checked the unit inside and outside plus he did some spray test to show if I had any leaks in the coils which he did not see any. After he added the the coolant he said it would take several hours for the temperature to get down to my normal setting. It was 91 degrees when he left and of course as the sun went down the temperature dropped down to the 80s but unfortunately the $900 was a complete waste not working at all. I didn't know what to do especially with my disability that has being severely affected by this whole situation and experience I just felt defeated. I started to look at the inside unit to see if it was freezing up like he said could happen sometimes and what I discovered was unbelievable. Definitely this was found to be main problem from the list of problems that was causing my ac not to work or even cool properly. The coils located underneath where the return air vent filter is located I discovered the nastiest dirtiest backup of mold, dirt and what looked like algae surrounding the whole bottom of the coils causing it not to flow properly and then backing up the drip line. I was in complete shock so I took pictures of it all of this to show my family what was discovered after their concern for well being. With the help of YouTube, and lots of reading and research, I found a cleaner that would help and getting it back into a clean working condition. Also, upon checking out other possibilities I discovered that a fuse located on the inside of the unit was blown so I changed it. Well I did it, my Air Conditioner started to cool off my house and finally getting it to a comfortable temperature. My family said I needed to call Garner to inform the manager of everything. He apologized for everything and sent out Ryan to come take a look and inspect everything once again. To make up for all the loss of money and time and frustration that I've encountered he offered some expensive courtesy prevention services that included many different things, first was to professionally re-clean all the quails and to make sure to seal off all cracks to make sure I had no leaking any air out. He said they would call me within the next few days to schedule a technician that would come out to do this project. Well that was around mid July and I have yet to hear a peep from anyone to complete what I was guaranteed. My unit has now suffered even more neglect due to all these mistakes that have been made taking off many good years I potentially did have of an efficient effectively working air conditioning. I'm left with a unreliable AC unit in spending all that money for nothing.

(i have never had to remove rodents in the past all my other home's maintenance was just preventing things from coming in or back) i will update in a a few more weeks. but so far 5 stars! Thanks!

Initial Impression and Installation:…read more Initially, the job by Attic Wrangler looked great, and we were pleased with the attic restoration. We hired them before our baby was born in December 2023, under the impression that the rat problem would be solved before the baby's arrival. However, our satisfaction was short-lived as the rats returned shortly after the work was completed, rendering all the good work useless. This became an ongoing problem for over a year, to the point where Attic Wrangler admitted they didn't know where the rats were coming from and suggested we hire another company. Stress and Health Concerns: This ongoing issue has caused immense stress and health concerns for our family, especially with a newborn in the house. The smell of dead rats became a common occurrence over the course of a year, making our living conditions unbearable. It got so bad that we seriously considered leaving our home and renting somewhere else. The constant rat activity and foul odors significantly impacted our quality of life and peace of mind. Warranty and Lack of Response: Mr. Kellso promised a so-called warranty in the event that the rats did return, assuring us that we would be covered. This promise turned out to be a complete lie, as Mr. Kellso has gone MIA, not responding to any of our communications. Timeline of Major Events and Failures: June 2023: Hired Attic Wrangler to remove rats and restore attic before our baby was born. Despite several visits, the problem was never resolved. July 16, 2023: Reported hearing noises again. Mr. Kellso scheduled a follow-up check. July 21, 2023: Appointment rescheduled last minute due to Mr. Kellso's accident. October 6, 2023: Mr. Kellso missed the scheduled visit, citing a job in San Antonio. October 15, 2023: Notified Mr. Kellso of multiple rats; requested additional traps. November 3, 2023: Continued rat activity. Mr. Kellso was inconsistent with visits. December 2023: Baby born. December 26, 2023: Requested smaller traps due to continuous activity. January 19, 2024: Multiple rats still present; ongoing trap issues. February 11, 2024: Informed Mr. Kellso of foul smell from dead rats; newborn in the house. Mr. Kellso delayed visit until he returned from Minnesota. March 23, 2024: Rats returned after a month of no activity. Mr. Kellso failed to solve the problem. April 27, 2024: Mr. Kellso agreed to visit but requested rescheduling multiple times. May 3, 2024: Rats were still present, traps were missing or ineffective. July 2024: Rats continue to infest our attic, and Mr. Kellso suggested hiring another company. Issues with Service and Attempted Resolution We knew of rat activity because we had multiple cameras surveying the attic. Mr. Kellso did make an effort to try new methods during some visits, but nothing made an impact. He was highly inconsistent with visits and often rescheduled at the last minute. Despite our patience, he failed to solve the rat problem. Moreover, after suggesting we hire another company, Mr. Kellso stopped replying to our texts and phone calls. We attempted to be very reasonable and figure out a compromise by asking Mr. Kellso to refund a portion of his work so that we could apply it towards hiring a new company. We even offered to ensure he would still be paid for a percentage of his efforts. However, we received literally zero response from him. This lack of communication and accountability is infuriating. Conclusion: We are now out $6,000 and back to square one with rats in the attic and soiled insulation. We also need to pay another company to redo the work. This has caused immense stress, especially with a newborn in the house. Attic Wrangler's service was a complete failure, and Mr. Kellso's unprofessionalism and lack of responsiveness were unacceptable. If we cannot work things out soon, we will be forced to pursue legal action. I strongly advise against using their services.

The installation of new ac ducts went very smoothly and the workers cleaned up after finishing each day. I would highly recommend Green Collar to anyone needing duct replacement or repair.

The owner of the company provided our estimate, the team arrived within the time windows predicted, they were competent and courteous, and they did a *fantastic* job modernizing our system to heat quietly and evenly throughout. They added a vent to a bathroom that had been inexplicably left without one, improved the insulation throughout, and added an attic walkway for safety. We've been tolerating very uneven temps and noisy vents for the past 10 years, and I wish we would have discovered Green Collar sooner! It is *NICE* in here. I have no reservations about recommending Green Collar's services. Stay warm, y'all!
