Initial Impression and Installation: Initially, the job by Attic Wrangler looked great, and we were pleased with the attic restoration. We hired them before our baby was born in December 2023, under the impression that the rat problem would be solved before the baby's arrival. However, our satisfaction was short-lived as the rats returned shortly after the work was completed, rendering all the good work useless. This became an ongoing problem for over a year, to the point where Attic Wrangler admitted they didn't know where the rats were coming from and suggested we hire another company. Stress and Health Concerns: This ongoing issue has caused immense stress and health concerns for our family, especially with a newborn in the house. The smell of dead rats became a common occurrence over the course of a year, making our living conditions unbearable. It got so bad that we seriously considered leaving our home and renting somewhere else. The constant rat activity and foul odors significantly impacted our quality of life and peace of mind. Warranty and Lack of Response: Mr. Kellso promised a so-called warranty in the event that the rats did return, assuring us that we would be covered. This promise turned out to be a complete lie, as Mr. Kellso has gone MIA, not responding to any of our communications. Timeline of Major Events and Failures: June 2023: Hired Attic Wrangler to remove rats and restore attic before our baby was born. Despite several visits, the problem was never resolved. July 16, 2023: Reported hearing noises again. Mr. Kellso scheduled a follow-up check. July 21, 2023: Appointment rescheduled last minute due to Mr. Kellso's accident. October 6, 2023: Mr. Kellso missed the scheduled visit, citing a job in San Antonio. October 15, 2023: Notified Mr. Kellso of multiple rats; requested additional traps. November 3, 2023: Continued rat activity. Mr. Kellso was inconsistent with visits. December 2023: Baby born. December 26, 2023: Requested smaller traps due to continuous activity. January 19, 2024: Multiple rats still present; ongoing trap issues. February 11, 2024: Informed Mr. Kellso of foul smell from dead rats; newborn in the house. Mr. Kellso delayed visit until he returned from Minnesota. March 23, 2024: Rats returned after a month of no activity. Mr. Kellso failed to solve the problem. April 27, 2024: Mr. Kellso agreed to visit but requested rescheduling multiple times. May 3, 2024: Rats were still present, traps were missing or ineffective. July 2024: Rats continue to infest our attic, and Mr. Kellso suggested hiring another company. Issues with Service and Attempted Resolution We knew of rat activity because we had multiple cameras surveying the attic. Mr. Kellso did make an effort to try new methods during some visits, but nothing made an impact. He was highly inconsistent with visits and often rescheduled at the last minute. Despite our patience, he failed to solve the rat problem. Moreover, after suggesting we hire another company, Mr. Kellso stopped replying to our texts and phone calls. We attempted to be very reasonable and figure out a compromise by asking Mr. Kellso to refund a portion of his work so that we could apply it towards hiring a new company. We even offered to ensure he would still be paid for a percentage of his efforts. However, we received literally zero response from him. This lack of communication and accountability is infuriating. Conclusion: We are now out $6,000 and back to square one with rats in the attic and soiled insulation. We also need to pay another company to redo the work. This has caused immense stress, especially with a newborn in the house. Attic Wrangler's service was a complete failure, and Mr. Kellso's unprofessionalism and lack of responsiveness were unacceptable. If we cannot work things out soon, we will be forced to pursue legal action. I strongly advise against using their services. read more

While cleaning up a wrecked rental property that a family member owns, we discovered that there was a massive rodent infestation. It was discouraging to clean and disinfect the kitchen only to come back the next day and find more droppings, and I mean A LOT more droppings. When the baseboards were removed and droppings were found in the perimeter of every room, we knew the problem was way beyond a thorough cleaning and vacuuming. We were afraid that calling an exterminator wasn't going to be enough. We found Attic Wrangler online and were surprised at how quickly he responded. He came out to assess the problem (I was afraid he was going to take one look at the place and say, "No way I want this job!" - the house was a mess) but he outlined his strategy and presented his plan of mitigating the infestation with a 2-phase plan to seal off the house, remove critters, remove the old insulation, clean and disinfect the attic and replace the insulation. Besides having a tenant from hell that abused the house with his hundreds of dogs (okay, a little exaggeration) the house had also flooded with the February '21 Snowstorm and the attic was a mess of old matted insulation. The owner of the house opted for the full service Attic Wrangler had presented. Zach and his team were out the next day to close up 18 rodent entry points in the house; secure interior holes where the critters were getting into the livable area of the house; put out live traps and cameras that could capture any activity. Once this phase was over, then came the attic cleanup. The team removed all the old insulation, having to scrap the insulation that was matted down from what was living up there and what they left behind; then they disinfected the attic. The final phase was replacing the insulation. JOB WELL DONE! Zach sent videos and pictures of his progress to the owner every time he was out at the house. The best news is there are no more rodents!! Zach and his team were very polite and cordial. They completed a job that we couldn't and didn't want to do. THANK YOU ATTIC WRANGLER! What a huge difference. I had the Attic Wrangler come into our place and just go clean out all my bad gross insulation. They cleaned up the mess from rodents in the place. They caught a few mice as well for us and sealed off the house so nothing can get in for a very long time. The price was very good compared to all the other places I called. I felt bad for these gentleman having to do this work. They said it's like using a sauna up there but getting paid for it . Zachary was so respectful and broke things down I had never known about critters and new insulation. What a brutal job these gentleman do, so it was worth every penny. It was a nice package when they caught critters and did my new insulation. My house has been great ever since. These guys did a great job and I would highly recommend them to anyone. i am currently using this company i found on a yelp search, i needed assistance right away and the owner was able to come quickly and service my new home and even at holiday time!! he was fast friendly and explained things thoroughly. i was happy he was able to help. he closed up all the gables and other vulnerable points on the exterior of the home and matched the color and material in most of the areas. he set up traps and surveillance to watch for raccoons or other rodents he came twice in a matter of weeks to check the traps nothing was caught but i see less droppings in my attic so i think things are going well. i'll update again once we're all done. (i have never had to remove rodents in the past all my other home's maintenance was just preventing things from coming in or back) i will update in a a few more weeks. but so far 5 stars! Zachary is willing to make an effort to resolve the squirrels in my attic, He made quite a few drop bys to catch the squirrels but the root cause was never resolved and my attic at night is still busy as ever. The job is to have the house sealed so squirrels can be blocked away but he didn't do it. After a long period of trying, the effort wasn't major during the time period, he txt me that he won't do it knowing there are still holes I identified yet to be blocked. We had Zachary out to seal our attic against pests at a cost of over $1,000. When half a year later, there were clearly critters bumping around in our attic, we called him to come check it out. It took us many calls, over the course of more than a month (from early March until the end of April) to get ahold of him, and when at last we made an appointment for him to return, he simply didn't show up -- no call, no message, and also did not answer our calls or return our messages until an hour after his scheduled arrival time. He then texted to say that he had car trouble and wasn't coming, and when we inquired about his work being guaranteed, he replied, "And I did mention that they could make a new opening without being touched in a few months." When I told him the product the other guy was using he just said it was the cheap stuff without elaborating although I did my research and it is a very reputable product. I normally would not leave this kind of review on Yelp because folks are just trying to run their companies and make a living but what really bothered me is that he called at 8:43 pm to get my response when hitherto we were dealing by Yelp DM and texts. Businesses really should not be bugging clients/prospective clients fairly late in the evening when folks are winding down for the day. Make sure you have everything that he's told you he would do before you agree to anything in a signed document because he will do the bare minimum & he won't do everything he said he would do verbally & will cut corners. The same goes with his extermination business. We were getting cockroaches again within 2 weeks of his doing it. I called Attic Wrangler, and Zachary came out within a few hours to give me a bid on adding insulation. He recommended R 38 which is code. I was having my roof replaced, and he coordinated with my roofing company and Air conditioning company replacing some ductwork to add the insulation in three different areas so as not to slow down the roof replacement. Zachary took before and after pictures to show me all the areas that were completed. After reviewing the before pictures I definitely needed attic insulation, which I know is the quickest payback in any weatherization job . We quickly found out it was under new management and the guy Mike was not interested in doing a good job, just getting cash quickly. Work was never completed and raccoons still in attic. The guy Mike refused to come back or honor the written warranty, , ATTIC WRANGLER CAME TO THE RESCUE AND FINALLY WE ARE RODENT AND ANIMAL FREE IN BOTH ATTICS! I can't say enough about Zachary and Ashton that would do them justice. From the start of engagement online until the job was done, they have been nothing less than stellar. Very responsive, very transparent and most of all, are never pushy or try to oversell on anything. They were just very pleasant to work with. We had a horrendous experience with the previous vendor to clear out the old insulation, clean and disinfect the attic downstairs after a rodent infestation. Everything about our house is odd so a significant part of the attic was not accessible. The previous vendor didn't really do or say anything about it and I paid him for the entire square footage.
