I've been here a couple of times, and the staff have always been friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere and service are definitely reasons to stop by. On this visit, I ordered an iced pour-over using their Ecuador beans by Felix Morocho. It tasted a little under-extracted to me, but it was still a pretty good cup overall. The flavors lined up well with the listed tasting notes, and I enjoyed the coffee enough that I'd consider picking up a bag to brew at home. My main hesitation is the price. At $11 for an iced pour-over, it's pretty steep compared with what I'm used to paying. When I think about getting multiple brews out of a 250g bag ($30 is the average cost for this coffee) at home, it makes that single-cup price harder to justify. I understand that you're also paying for the preparation, service, and cafe experience, but for me, the cup didn't quite feel worth the price tag. Overall, Junia is a pleasant place to visit, with welcoming staff and coffee I enjoyed despite the slightly under-extracted brew. I'd stop in occasionally, but at that price, I probably wouldn't make it a regular coffee stop.

It was one of those drinks I genuinely looked forward to, and I'd usually finish it before I even made it home. I was back in the area today and decided to stop by, hoping to enjoy an old favorite. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to what I remembered. The matcha flavor was a little dull, and the drink was noticeably less sweet than usual. I don't necessarily need my matcha to be super sweet, but the balance felt off this time. It just didn't have the same flavor that made me enjoy it so much before, and I found myself not really wanting to finish it. At around $8 plus tip for the Vienna matcha, I do expect a certain level of consistency, especially with a drink I've ordered and enjoyed so many times. That's what made this visit disappointing. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't feel worth the price this time. Maybe it was just an off day, and I can't speak to their other drinks, but based on this visit, I probably won't be going back. I wish it had been as good as I remembered.

Dol is located in a busy strip mall, so the free parking directly in front can be a little tight, but there is additional parking around the shopping center. When you walk in, the space is open and spacious with plenty of seating and tables. I've seen customers working on their laptops, as well as groups sitting together, laughing and enjoying their drinks. It has a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. Ordering is easy. The menu is displayed above the counter, and they also have handheld menus available. I had a few questions, and the cashier was very helpful in helping me narrow down what I wanted. You can customize the sweetness level of your drink and add extras like boba. Once you decide, you place and pay for your order using the ordering screen. The prices are reasonable, the drink sizes are generous, and the wait isn't long. They usually bring your order right to you. My favorite so far is the Coco Matcha. I enjoyed it so much that I've already been back! Dol specializes in Vietnamese coffee drinks, but they have plenty of other options as well. Definitely worth stopping by. You just might find yourself coming back like I did!

I came on a Saturday afternoon, not looking at any reviews or Yelp tips. As mentioned in other reviews, the line was out the door. I told my friend "I am extra introverted and impatient today but that coffee smells so good." That was when the person in front of me turned around and said "I am so sorry. I don't mean to be listening but I just wanted to let you know it is so worth it." She proceeds to tell me a little more about Nook and the other locations and her favorite drinks. I ended up getting TWO drinks for me and kouign aman. The island matcha is something I have never had before. It is matcha with coconut milk and macadamia nut syrup. It is not too sweet and absolutely refreshing. It does have a very strong coconut water taste so for those who love fresh coconut water, this is for you. Honey lavender lattes are one of my favorite drinks and this one is just delicious and would make me come back to Torrance Nook for this drink. The floral taste is smooth and complements well with the honey. The coffee is robust but smooth. The kouign aman was okay. It was a little dry for my liking. With all that said, yes, I can see what Nook is well loved. The baristas were very friendly and made the drinks with craftsmanship and care. The line moved along nicely but it seemed like I got my drinks in a very timely manner. The shop itself is bright and open with a few spots in the bench to sit. Most of the seating is outside. This place seems like more of a place to hangout casually with friends than being a place to work. Thanks to the local patron who convinced me to wait in the long line.

Drink: That peach cobbler matcha was absolutely delicious. I downed it so fast because it was so good! It legitimately tasted like there was a peach cobbler in my matcha. So good. Not too sweet, just the right amount of cinnamon, and the peach worked well with the matcha. Good Coffee has both of these things which is why I highly recommend it and will definitely be back for that peach cobbler matcha!

Ordering is super easy through their tablet system. I love that it has pictures and descriptions for each drink, which makes trying something new really simple. You can also earn points if you come back regularly, which is a nice bonus for frequent visitors like me. This time I got the Oreo Ube Swirl, and it was such a unique treat. The flavors were well balanced, sweet and creamy without either the oreo or ube overpowering the other. Review #990 2026-060…read more Drinks Order: Peach Jasmine Tea with Crystal Boba $5.60 Passionfruit Green Apple Refresher with Lychee Jelly $6.60 Peach Refresher with Crystal Boba $7 Cafe Pruvia is located on the east side of Pacific Square Shopping Center while traversing over a bunch of speed bumps to reach the cafe. With several boba/tea shops in the same plaza, I'm guessing they're trying to capitalize on the high foot traffic from Tokyo Central & Main supermarket, & their competitors ("boba clusters")? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ On my first visit, I wasn't sure what to order & saw someone exit with a bright green drink; the cashier said it's one of their more popular refreshers: Passionfruit Green Apple Refresher, & ordered it with lychee jelly. It's basically a slushy with passionfruit & green apple, but the flavor isn't as sharp, though it paired well with the jelly. I love peach, & their Peach Jasmine Tea is perfect for the summer... light, refreshing, & aromatically alluring with the combo of jasmine & peach. I prefer the Peach Refresher with Crystal Boba, which I claimed for my Local By Toast (LBT) $5 birthday reward. This slush has a notable peach flavor & crystal boba tastes better in this icy drink because it maintains its soft, chewy texture whereas tapioca pearls usually hardens & becomes tough after longer icy exposure. The menu is compact, consisting of: milk & flavored teas, non-caffeinated drinks, swirls, refreshers, crema (milk smoothies), coffees & coffee lattes, & tea lattes, with moderate prices in this competitive neighborhood. It's a decent selection but nothing that I considered unique enough for dedicated loyalty with other options in this center. Not the friendliest of service, but they are fast. The cafe is quite spacious with tables & chairs lining around the perimeter... with free WiFi, there's usually a crowd hanging out, particularly during the weekend evenings. If they provided board games, would that be additional entertainment to entice customers to stay a little longer & have a few more drinks? Hmmm... Cafe Pruvia uses LBT for their loyalty rewards, & program rules allows you to earn 1 point for every $1 spent, & earning 165 points for a $5 discount (or 3%). I'm not a frequent patron so I haven't checked my rewards status in a while... I came back recently when they dropped a $5 birthday reward. That's when I checked my account & saw that I only tallied 3 points after multiple trips; their tracking system is glitchy & I don't plan to fix it since there's no way I'll spend enough to earn the next $5 reward. Opened during the pandemic lockdown for nearly 6 years, Cafe Pruvia announced that they will be permanently closing on Sunday, 05/24/26, but will maintain next door sister, Pruvia Coffee Bar. If you're a fan of their teas & smoothies, this is your last chance to say goodbye.
