Was passing by and saw the huge sign with crescent and donuts. It was perfect because we wanted something to eat but not a McDonald's kind of food. When we travel, love to check out the hole in the wall kind of place. We ordered the #3 Bacon & Egg Crescent Sandwich. This young lady working was very sweet and friendly. I ordered a vanilla cappuccino coffee and she gave it to me before she made our sandwich. That was a grade A move. My daughter noticed and said what if we left and didn't pay for it. I told her, she's smart and made us happy or me happy to give me my coffee while we waited for her to make our sandwich. We had small talk while we ate our sandwich. We talked about Hawai'i and the Hawaiian Host Chocolate covered Macadamia Nuts. I told my daughter a had a couple small packs in the car, so she went out to grab it. When we gave it to her, she was appreciative. We took a pic and headed out. Definitely gonna be our stop when we're in Gardenia again. Mahalo!

I found myself in the area early early morning, and I had gotten lost so I pulled into a little strip mall and the smell from this delicious little donut shop caught my attention. Now mind you it was well before 5 AM maybe 4:30AM I knew I was in luck as everything was fresh and some things were being made. I got a breakfast croissant that was quite delicious I am a big croissant lover so if you're expecting a Parisian croissant with layers it's not gonna happen here they do not use authentic French butter if anything they use margarine for their croissants which creates a more cake like texture similarly to what you can find in a grocery store for croissants. Anyway, for being so early in the morning when I arrive they were already customers ordering and waiting for their food. I was lucky to not have anyone immediately behind me so I had the opportunity to see all that they had. Unfortunately because of where I live I don't know if I'll be finding myself back at this donut shop but I do recommend it for quality donuts. And quite frankly I don't know how they level up mid day or even in the evening but I know if you're lucky enough to go in the morning more than lucky you! We're talking piping hot fresh almost beignet deliciousness!

Very kind and friendly. Donuts are fluffy and fresh. Area seems industrial and sketchy but it was quick and easy.

To expensive, $2 per pc. I just go to McDonald rather than going to this store. Not recommended to everybody.

I was here for no more than a couple of minutes. I ordered half a dozen assorted donuts and a dozen donut holes. When I got home, I noticed that they gave me 8 donuts. That was really nice of them to throw in a couple of donuts for free. I immediately scarfed down a chocolate bar donut (they're those long chocolate glazed donuts) and the donut holes. They were both airy, fluffy, and delicious. I was craving traditional donuts and the donuts here really hit the spot.

If you've ever wondered what it feels like to be spiritually tackled by a 24/7 donut shop,…read morewell.....Donut King II in Gardena has you covered. There's a giant donut hovering over the entrance like a sugary UFO, the drive‑thru is open at all hours, in both directions depending on which driveway you enter, and the staff has the kind of friendliness that makes you question whether... do people even sleep at these early morning hours, including myself. lol I rolled up at 2 AM and the night cashier greets you like you're the hero returning from battle. They're patient, friendly, and sometimes slip in an extra donut like a pastry‑based blessing, especially after purchasing several assorted donuts. Honestly, if emotional support donuts were a thing, this place would be licensed. The classics hit exactly how they should. The raspberry jelly, a fruity explosion. The blueberry?, a polite, sweet hug. The chocolate, well so comforting. A spiral of happiness. And the variety of donuts is so warm, glazed and sweet. Basically the Beyoncé of pastries. It doesn't just taste good, it changes you. The drive‑thru is clutch. Whether you're craving donut holes at midnight or a croissant at sunrise, Donut King II is the only dessert spot in the area that's always awake and ready to enable your sugar habits. Donut King II is the chaotic‑good hero of Gardena: friendly staff, fresh donuts, that slap, and a drive‑thru that understands your nocturnal lifestyle. Ambience- there is nothing fancy about this place. This place is a grab and go. Drive through or walk up. Expect a line sometimes, but trust, it's worth it. Miguel C.

Review #986 2026-056…read more Food Order: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95 Another one bites the dust... bada dum dum dum... During my freebies birthday run yesterday, I was planning on going to Old Ferry Donut after picking up a boba next door, only to find the shop closed. \(`0´)/ Known for unique flavors & vibrant retro-pop 70s branding (cute hamster mascot with bold orange & brilliant blue colors; it's featured on 2-/4-donut boxes), this Korean-inspired premium donut shop originated in Seoul a decade ago before expanding to several S. CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. After asking what's their most popular picks, I chose Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée, & added Lemon Poppyseed & Raspberry Ring for myself, Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream for the kiddos. Service was alright... I didn't need a sales pitch, but would like some info on the donuts to make an informed decision since they're at a premium price even though they're not "freshly made" (every hour or less) like SD&C just down the street. The Butter Pistachio is a major hit... fluffy & light, a slightly chewy yeasty donut stuffed with a mildly sweet whipped pistachio cream filling & topped with a salty-sweet buttery streusel... how can you not be addicted? And totally worth it! Crème Brûlée is also popular for its delicate, crackly caramelized sugar crust & airy brioche dough that's filled with a rich vanilla custard. Good flavor, but maybe on the older side? Since it's been sitting for awhile, it lost that fresh fluffy texture & was kinda dry. I really liked the Lemon Poppyseed; it's right up there with Butter Pistachio. The lemon glaze is just the right amount of sweet & tart, & the donut was fresh & fluffy! The Raspberry Ring is pretty good, matching that sweet & tart of Lemon Poppyseed, but I like the citrus zing of the latter more. What's different is the former has a raspberry jam filling in addition to a glaze & the latter is just a yeast donut with fruity glaze. Kids didn't say much about Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream... I figure you can't go wrong with these flavors. The filling might have been a bit much as I saw the cream oozing out of the donut & onto my LO's face & shirt. His sister was slightly better at containing the custard blob. LOL With premium prices, It's debatable if Old Ferry's donuts are worth it... quality, freshness, & size. Hmmm... I like them & their creative flavors, but they're a tad too sweet & not as "fresh" in comparison to SD&C. Sad to see Old Ferry Donut permanently gone from the South Bay, but they still have locations in San Gabriel & Buena Park if you're willing to take a drive. Recommended: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95

We stopped by today around 3:30PM and received quick service :) they were just bringing out some fresh doughnuts so we were able to get them super fresh! We got to try some new seasonal flavors as well as some classics. Chocolate Celebration Ring - this is a new daily flavor I believe, and I quite enjoy it! The doughnut itself is very pillowy and not dense at all like their other ones. Very different, but a good different. It reminds me of the type of doughnut you'd get at a mom n pop, which is a huge plus for me. The chocolate frosting surprisingly wasn't super sweet. Def would get again. Potato Chip Streusel - this was...interesting haha. The potato chips add a nice salty flavor to the chocolate donut itself. I wouldn't get it again, but worth a try if you're an adventurous person. Celebration Cake - one of my absolute favs. I love that they use almond flour so it has a nice nutty taste. It is very much cake like and dense, but it hits the spot every time. Highly recommend! Old-fashioned - also a great classic! It has a great mix of cinnamon and nutmeg and isn't too overly sweet. Banana Bread Latte - we got to try this and I LOVED it. It was very banana-y and I loved the touch of walnuts added in. Out of all the banana flavored coffee I've had, this was the best. Just a note, cold foam is extra, but so worth it imo! Shout out to Bash for making this coffee so good!

So, this is the new issue with Sidecar in Manhattan Beach this morning…read more... When you can't even get a dozen doughnuts from a doughnut shop to take to work, BEFORE work...there's some major operational failures that need to be remedied. I work at the airport and we're unable to get app based food deliveries. They can't even come into the airport. So, I usually order Sidecar on my way to work and have the driver meet me at the LAX Metro Transit Center, before hopping on the shuttle to my terminal. I placed an order for a DOZEN through Uber Eats at 6:35 a.m. And this is the message I get from Maya. I call the store and ask them to cancel it. 5 minutes later it's still not canceled, so I call back and BEG them "PLEASE CANCEL THE ORDER?!" and the young lady with such a bad attitude replies "We will cancel the order, don't worry about that." and I say "Can you cancel it while I'm on the phone?! I want to know it's been canceled!" Her smart ass reply was that "You're gonna have to wait, becauee there's no manager here, but you'll receive a notification when it's canceled" so I ask "You can't cancel an order without a manager?" and the girl says "No." then I ask "Can I have your name, please?" and with an audible grin on her face, she says "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...."and I said" OK! That's fine!" and hung up. Minutes later, the order was canceled. Sounds like Sidecar has some real superstars working at their Manhattan Beach store. Also, this was a delivery order and the fact that she even thought it was for pickup and casually says to wait an hour and a half before pickup at 7 in the morning incompetence and a total lack of consideration at its finest. It hurts, because I really do like Sidecar and have for about 3 years. I've introduced many to their doughnuts, but spending $60 on a dozen, just to get treated like you're a joke is abhorrent.
