Took a lunch break during Uconn move-in day and what a pleasant surprise. Love Mediteranean food and hard to find a good place in Ct but here we are at Uconn nevertheless! All about healthy eating and this was satisfying. Ordered the chicken kabob wrap with lettuce tomato and hummus. Daughter ordered chicken falafel that I tasted and loved more. We ordered one wrap each and wished we had split one! Two wraps and one bottle diet coke $18. Pricey if you ask me for an establishment on campus. Gansett Wraps is an amazing little place. My first experience was stopping in with coworkers for lunch. Although I brought mine, I got a side of falafel for $3.50 and thought it'd be a nice little addition to my lunch. I was shocked that it was 6 giant pieces of falafel and their tzatziki sauce was great (although a little runny). Second time I got a falafel wrap and it was also excellent. Adding another item from the menu. I seriously needed a somewhat healthy comfort food and this hit the spot. I ordered the Gyro Kebab wrap, filled with beef gyro meat, grilled peppers, onions, lettuce and tomatoes with hummus and tahina dressing. I asked them add a little of their tabouleh salad in the wrap and it makes the whole thing come alive and is delicious. I love gansett! All the ingredients are fresh and of a good quality! The food comes out quick and always yummy! The fries are the best in storrs center! I always get the chicken pesto wrap, or the steak and cheese! I recently tried the chicken gansett wrap for the first time and its my new favorite- eggplant, chicken, fresh mozz, red peppers and balsamic, so yummy! The place itself is modern, clean, love that they have germx on all the tables, and they have the coke freestyle machines which are cool too! Only complaint is my wrap falls apart sometimes, I wish they would fold the end so everything doesnt fall out the bottom! read more

Amazing new place in Storrs Center. Super fresh ingredients, friendly staff, especially the owner! Huge value for what you get (unlike other nearby "canine"-themed sandwich restaurants). Been there several times in the past two weeks and loved everything I've tried. If I could offer one constructive criticism it would be that the screens above the counter aren't useful as is, the items rotate on the screens but they should show the whole menu at once. I just fall back to the take out menu but the several large screens seem like a waste as they are configured. Can't wait to go back! read more

New on campus and hands down has better salads and wraps than the student union. I love coming here when I'm craving a salad. Their portions are huge I can never finish it, so I hope in the near future they will make smaller portions. Until then I'll enjoy and stuff myself with my nice, delicious, big salad. read more

This is exactly the kind of place Storrs needed! I first went in January 2016 shortly after their grand opening and I have to stop myself from going every day. Went for lunch and dinner, and got delicious fresh food served quickly. Prices are reasonable for a really large wrap that will absolutely fill you up ($8). Staff is friendly too! The only downside is the limited seating, which I can see becoming a big problem as the place gets a more popular. read more

Gansett Wraps is by far the best restaurant at UConn and within a 5-mile radius of UConn. First, they have a kind and efficient staff who are always smiling. They also have fresh and authentic ingredients. This little place near UCONN rocks! I can't seem to get enough of The Works...a wrap with falafel, hummus, taboule, tahini dressing...I add cucumbers instead of lettuce. My hubby loves the chicken gyros. the tortellini salad and fatoosh are also so yummy! And I don't know what "dennis b." is talking about..the portions are huge! The staff is awesome..knowledgeable and super friendly, always smiling even when it's crazy busy. Never an attitude! Go there and enjoy some REALLY good food! read more

Spectacular from start to finish!!! This family run place is awesome and would thrive easily in any culinary market (we're from Charleston, SC and would love a Gansett there!). The kids were happy and fed, and we loved our falafel and gyro wraps! Hummus and homemade chips were delicious and the chips were hard to stop eating! The owner was there and went above and beyond to accommodate my 92 year old grandmother's particular dietary needs. And ask for the homemade hot sauce! Spicy but delicious! We'll be back! Gansett Wraps just opened up on campus. It's good. They have a ton of wraps with lots of combinations. I got a chicken gyro and the chicken breast was fat and juicy and did not taste like a piece of chicken that you would get on like a Subway sandwich. So, why only 3 stars you ask? The price. The wraps are between $7-9 and they don't come with anything else. I'm sorry, it's good, but I want something else for that price. It's JUST a wrap. read more

Really enjoy eating lunch here. The owner is a very nice middle-aged man who greets me every time I go. He knows my order before I even say it! I recommend the falafel wrap; it tastes similar to the ones I've had in Greece, and the quality and price is good. Okay, not for the same reason, it's not haute cuisine, but it's honest cuisine. It's the kind of place Anthony Bourdain would love. The ingredients are excellent, the recipes highlight and blend each flavor elegantly, the service is friendly, and the result is perfection. This is a pleasant surprise! Gansett Wraps just opened in Storrs downtown. I was expecting another boring, overpriced, slightly dirty restaurant with a 55% chance of surly waitstaff. I was wrong on all counts! The food comes very fast, but it is not fast food. It is fresh, delicious, and tasty. It doesn't matter if you are an omnivore, a vegetarian, a vegan or off the wall. Their menu will suit you. I'm guessing even a glutard would be fine there. We had two wraps today: "The Works" which is falafel, hummus, lettuce, tomato, tabouleh with tahini dressing; and Chicken Falafel which is, lest I repeat myself, "The Works" with chicken. Both were excellent! I would have given five stars, but the decor was pretty much early Burger King. But don't let that stop you. After all, it's about the food. Will definitely go back. read more

Two visits - great wraps both times - Chicken Gyro and Traditional Beef Gyro. The fillings of both were plentiful and fresh. The price is reasonable for a single wrap this size, and actually enough to share for a simple meal. Walk up counter service - very friendly - and self service fountain drinks. I've been to Gansett at least 10+ times (I know) now so I think I can offer a pretty honest review. The food is great, the place is super clean, and the staff is so friendly! Whenever I go in there I'm greeted with a smile from someone. I've had the Greek and the regular tossed salad, and both are great and super huge! I like to add their chicken salad or grilled chicken on top, both are great too. On the less healthy side, the turkey club wrap is my go to and I highly recommend! I've also had the chicken Gansett wrap (I think that's the name), the cheeseburger wrap, and the husky wrap. All are great. Their order of fries is huge and delicious and I'm pretty sure they come with some spices on top. I've also gotten a Hawaiian pizza from there, and that was delicious also. The regular size is definitely not big enough to fill up two people, but on par with any other regular sized pizza price wise. Finally, a lot of people have commented on serving size/ prices. I would argue that the amount of food and cost is on par with anywhere else in storrs center. Sure maybe you can get a wrap for 6 dollars at subway, but the wraps at Gansett are double the size and just way fresher and better tasting. Plus, down at dog lane you probably pay the same amount as gansett for a measly portion of food (but that's another review for another day). Bottom line: go to Gansett, you'll get a delicious meal and great service! read more

We went to Gansett Wraps 3 Saturday nights in a row...from out of town no less...because this is some of the best Middle Eastern food you can get, the employees are very accommodating, and I think if I dropped my falafel wrap I could still eat it off the floor, the dining room is so clean. So far I have ordered falafel wraps twice and they were quite good. I tried the fattoush (sp?) salad, and this was also very nice. I also had a variety plate with hummus, fattoush, falafel and salad - quite a lot of food for the money. My better half is on a special diet with several restricted items that all happen to be in the falafel wrap. The staff accommodated each request without flinching. When we were leaving, they actually said, "Thanks guys!" It's unusual to be treated so well at a counter-order style restaurant these days. read more
