While the build your own pizza premise is excellent, I unfortunately had a relatively poor experience here the last time I swung by. I placed an order online, and then came in person to pick it up. I stated my name, and I was told my order wasn't ready. My app had predicted it being ready a few minutes prior, so I mentioned that, and they let me know it was still being made. I waited for 20 minutes before asking again, and was told that it still was not ready. Another 10, I asked a third time. It was now about 45min after the predicted time for my order. After asking a third time, they let me know the order had been ready all along and gave me a cold pizza. Since it was cold, it didn't taste as great. This experience occurred during a Friday night rush, so the location was completely packed and I think the workers were a bit overwhelmed. I don't blame them, the environment was really hectic, but it was pretty upsetting. I was late to my plans and had a cold pizza to show for it. I do want to say, this was not my first time there, and typically my experiences during less busy times are pleasant. Unlimited toppings for a fixed price--what's not to love! A fun premise and typically good food--I definitely cannot recommend swinging by during a rush, or placing an online order. The business made it understandably hard to talk to the employees to avoid this kind of error, and I think they were too swamped to notice how long I'd been waiting. But at the very least, the busy energy of the place is proof enough that people do love the pizzas here! While this was a pretty bad experience, typically I have decent ones here. Additionally, my pizza was made correctly and the workers were kind when they were able to speak to me briefly. I've ordered many times from here and never had an issue. The other night I ordered a pizza for deliver through their app and it never arrived. They are telling me to contact Uber eats for the refund, Uber does not answer and realistically they shouldn't have charged me or placed the order until a driver confirmed they were going to pick it up. I called the store and they said my order had been done for over an hour and told me to contact Uber Eats and they don't answer. I talked to corporate at Blaze and they are giving me the same info. This location is absolutely amazing and incredibly affordable. Their build your own is my favorite EVER. Out of every pizza I have ever tried - vegan and not vegan. I would say avoid the weekends if you don't like waiting around too much. They're very popular and are often short staffed. I really miss having a Blaze pizza close to me. Now the only one in CT is located in downtown Storrs which is quite a distance away for me. I really love their personalized fast fired pizzas. They offer so many additive free toppings to adorn their house made dough-not to mention they also offer a variety of diet friendly doughs like keto, and gluten free. You can have the pizza of your dreams in just 180 seconds. While there, I opted for their cheesy bread instead of pizza because I had never had it before. The cheesy bread was made with their house made classic dough topped with shredded mozzarella, oregano, and drizzles of olive oil. Two sides of red sauce were included. In addition to pizzas, Blaze also offers salads, desserts, beer, and wine too. For dessert, I got the S'more Pie. The s'more pies were just coming out of the oven when I ordered. I loved that it was hot and fresh and I didnt' have to pick it from the case and have it reheated. The s'more pie included chocolate and marshmallows sandwiched between two round marshall graham cracker cookies. The s'mores pie was messy to eat, but tasted heavenly. We waited over two hours for our food, only to find out that they let somebody else take our food without asking for confirmation. We ordered through doordash. We called the restaurant multiple times and there is no way to contact anyone there. They do not answer the phone. We had no information and neither did our driver. Eating it in store when its fresh is almost always wonderful. However, take out and delivery service is not as great as the in-store service. Quick pizza but you get to make your own like subway. Honestly this is just like a Seinfeld episode and a Kramer makes a crazy business idea except you don't cook it yourself. The dough is very generic and pressed down by a machine. Makes it the same way every time and if you like very thin crust like me, then this is no problem. The taste definitely isn't in the dough or the sauce, it's all about the toppings and the cheese you choose. Multiple meat options and so many veggies! Also a good variety of cheese to make different types of pizza but it can all be overwhelming. Really don't go too over board or you'll get a soggy pizza that is falling apart with toppings. Staff isn't really too helpful in making a pizza, they let you do whatever you want even though sometimes some advice or what you shouldn't do could be warranted. This isn't a place you go for spectacular authentic pizza but if there's multiple people who all want something different for a cheap price then you can't beat it. read more

This place is great. Being able to watch each person on the line handle your pizza and make it before your eyes is a novelty. I love what they have to offer with their menu selections and our ability to completely customize our pizza for $8. The pie is about the size of a small at any other pizza restaurant and it tastes just as great! The only downside is that it's pretty thin and not much crust (not a big problem for me though - yes I'm the kind of person that doesn't eat the crust on my pizza). Parking is on the street or in a nearby parking garage. I believe the garage has free parking for up to an hour (or 2?) but you wouldn't need that long to eat. Though the place seems to be packed with tons of tables and chairs, there never seems to be enough room for everyone because the place is always stuffed with customers! Like chipotle, you can build your own by choosing ingredients laid out on the counter in front of you, then it's cooked in a gas-fired open oven for 2 to 3 minutes until it comes out blistered and crackling....My only quibble here is that instead of hand-stretching the dough, they use a dough press to stamp out perfect circles every time ... nonetheless it's still good.... Ready to blaze it? My coworkers and I joke around that one day we'll franchise a location closer to us, but our obsession with this place is no joke. We make a 30-40 minute drive from Hartford to experience the amazing-ness that is Blaze Pizza. We order one to eat there and end up taking one to go. Gotta make it worth the trip! Where else are you able to get everything you want at a great deal/price AND cooked in 180 seconds? Definitely something I wasn't sure if I'd like at first, especially since I usually make my own pizzas at home. But I was SHOOK at how good this pizza was. I can load everything on and get literally a perfect pizza. No one can make fun of me for having pineapple on my pizza because I'm doing it my way! Great service as well! They always ask you for your name first and have a whole system to make YOU feel special and get what YOU want. Such a great system and they don't seem to get orders wrong despite long lines, fast pace service, and lots of toppings to choose from. Well done supply chain at that! Impressive for sure. My usual is a regular pie with a red sauce and lots of mozzarella, load on the pepperoni, and max out on the spinach, put some pineapple and artichoke and give it the works of pesto drizzle and some oregano. When you go to Blaze you definitely get what you pay for. For the quality and the inexpensive price, it's pretty good and will satisfy your pizza craving. I love that you can customize your own pizza and they always offer a good variety of toppings! I usually have a good experience, but the last time I went the bottom of my pizza was completely covered in ash and char from the oven, which made it pretty unpleasant. Also, I feel like it was very saucy, soggy, watery in some spots and the sausage on top definitely could have been warmed more thoroughly in the oven. Every year on pie day they sell pizza for $3.14. There will be a long queue to get in, but it has become a part of my life. I do go in other days too. Pizza prices as reasonable. You can eat a whole pizza and still it won't feel like too much. You can order as many topping as you want. I generally go for a lot at topping including all the meat. Even for sauce I go for more than one sauce. Pizza gets ready quicky. And there is place to eat. S'more pie was good. They will hear it up for you, which is nice. priority is given to online orders, walk in customers are supposed to wait until there is a break in continuous online orders. It can take over an hour to get a pizza. If this is your policy then it should be clearly indicated. Otherwise you should have some employees serving in-store customers.
