    Blackberry Ricotta special slice!
    Kristin B.

Wow! Stopped by Wicked Slice today for a quick lunch, and I was very pleasantly surprised! I got a special slice with blackberries and ricotta, heated up & boxed to go. SO good!! An incredible flavor combo on pizza that I never would have thought of, but will now look for wherever I go! The restaurant was clean and service was excellent. The young lady who served me was SO pleasant & welcoming. My slice was ready quickly, hot and fresh. An all around very enjoyable experience. I will be back next time I am in the area!

    Buffalo chicken pizza

Super good pizza! Buffalo chicken was very good, I appreciated that there was Gorgonzola and red onion on the pizza, it added a nice flavor, and there was a perfect amount of spice. Pepperoni pizza was also very good, the sauce was what impressed me. The past couple of places I've tried pizza were good but had boring sauce - this sauce was full of flavor. We also got an order of fries, they were alright...tasted kind of like McDonald's fries in my opinion. Definitely will be going back for pizza in the future. Only complaint was that they said 35 minute wait (Saturday night around 5pm) and it ended up being around 45-50 minutes. They do have free delivery though if you live in the area. They also have coupons on their website that you can use simply by mentioning when you place your order.

Best pizza in the area! They deliver to Colchester. Thank God, it beats the pants off of Iliano's and I am not a Greek pizza fan. That's all they have in Colchestet. The crust is crispy and delicious. The toppings are fresh, sauce excellent. There was a cool dude tossing pizza dough when I was there. So it truly is hand tossed and even. There is a very Zen vibe at this place. No indoor seating when I was there but they do a bang up job with take out and delivery.

Ordered a pizza for dinner tonight. We were told an hour for delivery. Called an hour and a half after ordering. They said the pizza was the on the way. Almost 2 hours out now and still no pizza. Called again and they said they only have one driver and sorry for that. If we knew it was going to take this long we would've gone to get it. Terrible experience and customer service from the business. The only good communication regarding our order came from the delivery guy. He called 2 hours after we ordered saying he was 10 minutes away and that he was so sorry. He was the best ambassador for the company that we experienced all night. He was apologetic, friendly and so kind. Kudos to the delivery guy in the red VW. He is the best employee at your business and you should be lucky to have him. Stand up guy and not his fault. update...our pizza arrived after waiting over 2 hours.

    Large pepperoni mushroom pizza

Looking for that special fold in half slice! Found it here! I was tired of Dominos so I wanted something delicious, thinner and tasted small town. Yelp recommended this place and they didn't lie! We ordered a large pepperoni/mushroom and a medium buffalo chicken of course to go. We live 15 minutes away, the pizza was still very warm and tasted amazing. The buffalo chicken tasted like it was fresh. There was just enough heat and I actually really enjoyed the red onion! I was a bit apprehensive at first but it was great! The crust was soft but crunchy on the top edge, there was just enough sauce for me! I like mine a little bit heavier. I gave it 4 stars because my son and husband still prefer Dominos but I'd choose this any day of the week!

"I love the flower girl Oh, I don't know just why…read moreShe simply caught my eye I love the flower girl she seemed so sweet and kind. She crept into my mind." (The Cowsills) Visiting the Flour Girl Café and Bakery will put you squarely in the middle of a Flour Girl Village with four distinct components. Within the village is the Flour Girl Café at 16 Main, the Flour Girl Bakery at 14 Main, the Flour Girl Country Store at 12 Main, and the Door Yard in a rear courtyard for dining and hosting events between the bakery and country store. Today we had breakfast at the Café and followed it up with a visit to the bakery. A common thread at both stops was the wonderful personality and friendliness of the staff we interacted with. The counterperson at the Café could not have been nicer and her personality radiated throughout the room like a beam of sunshine. She welcomed every new customer as though they were long lost relatives, exchanged some pleasant small talk and then diligently repeated the orders before ringing them up. She was fantastic. The café keeps things humming all week long--open Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 4:00, Saturdays from 7:30 to 4:00, and Sundays from 7:30 to 3:00. Flour Girl Café covers you from breakfast through lunch. Mornings bring all the good stuff: coffees and lattes, smoothies, egg sandwiches, bagels, wraps, waffles, toasts--you get the idea. Swing by at lunchtime and you'll find sandwiches, paninis, salads, burgers and soups waiting for you. Oh, and as a bonus perk, the bread for sandwiches and burgers is made at the bakery next door, so freshness is something the Flour Girl takes seriously. For breakfast, we had a Bacon, Egg, Lettuce, Tomato, and Cheese Bagel ($7.99) and an Avocado Toast (2 pieces) with Feta and tomato ($9.99), Two 16-ounce drip coffees were $3.50 apiece. The portions were large, and my avocado toast on sourdough was fantastic. We sat in the first-floor dining room and took in the pretty interior design of pinks, pastels, and floral color theme. Now, on to the bakery! The Flour Girl Bakery may be best known for its sourdough breads, but the fun doesn't stop there. You'll also find muffins, cookies, scones, their award winning cinnamon rolls, and a rotating lineup of fresh baked breads. And those cinnamon rolls? They spark a full on weekend rush--people happily line up just to snag one before they disappear. We picked up a box of mixed goods, muffins, cake squares, and a big hunk of jalapeno cornbread that will go perfectly with a homemade batch of lentil chili sitting in my fridge. We saw an adorable feature at the bakery, where plastic eggs were hidden within the store for the kiddies to find and cash in for a cookie. It's the little customer service features we saw at the Flour Girl's Café, Bakery, and Country Store that made today's visit so pleasant.

I think there may be a small sign but i heard it several times during my visit - people asking for breakfast! Might be something to reconsider or place a visible sign underlining breakfast stops at 11:30 AM. Anyhow, pivoted to the lunch menu - pesto chicken sandwich was delicious. Did not love the pasta salad, wish there was the option for fry's. Really wanted the thanksgiving wrap but was out of stuck - next time hopefully! I will say - while there are many options for seating, especially with the new accommodation, it's tight. Chairs back into aisles and the table legs don't allow chairs to be pushed in that well. Entrance area can feel a bit overwhelming if it's busy. Staff super friendly and knowledgeable, will continue to come back.

Parkside Pizza & Ice Cream - Roast beef grinder - build your own - there are many options. (This one with lettuce and condiments only.)

Their specialty pizzas are great and even a plain cheese pizza is great. The burgers and wraps are good. Love the salads too, especially with the grilled chicken added. Love the chicken wings, they are meaty and good portions for the money. Calzones are stuffed with all the good stuff. Staff is awesome and recognizes their regulars and welcomes them warmly. Lunch and dinner are both good and consistent. Highly recommend. Nice and clean place to dine in as well.

This is a very rural area and I would not have expected to find a restaurant along this stretch of road. The building is a square, non-descript, single story set away from the street with parking along two sides. A few picnic tables sit near the parking area on a grassy area. The inside is neat, updated, includes several booths exactly as you would expect in your neighborhood pizza place. Besides pizza, this shop offers sandwiches, lasagna, bottled or canned soft drinks, ice cream dessert items, cookies, and cake for example. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice. We grabbed our drinks from the cooler, paid and chose a booth. Some local art hangs on the wall, but it doesn't say if it's for sale or from a local club for example. Just 'Local Art.' Most of the booths were occupied when we arrived, and several phone orders were placed during our visit, so clearly this spot is popular. Some folks came in for a soda and slice of pie, others called in large orders. A blackboard wall lists available ice cream flavors and prices on cones, bowls, shakes, and more. Laminated menus are on the counter near the cash register and their web site. The website also offers an 'allergy' menu. The food didn't come flying out of the kitchen, but we didn't wait an unreasonable amount of time either. Some of the tables already seated when we arrived were also waiting for food and it looked like this was a two person operation. The food was brought to the table when ready (aka: they didn't call our name or a number) which I appreciate. Napkins, salt and pepper are on the table. Plastic utensils, red pepper flakes and other items you may need are on a table near the counter for you to grab if wanted. Everyone bussed their own table, so we followed suit. The sandwiches were well made, stuffed with lots of meat and plenty of add ins. Their 'build you own' grinder menu has a variety of meats, cheeses, and vegetables. The pizzas looked and smelled good. I wasn't in a pizza mood, but I wish I had bought a slice to try, although the sandwich was so big I barely finished it. No room for pizza. Also wish I'd bought a slice of that rainbow cake, but we were on the road without a cooler, so no cake for me. Sigh. This is a really nice little restaurant in the 'middle of nowhere.' It's clearly popular with locals and I understand why. Good service, good food, clean establishment. They do a fine job. A very nice local pizza place.
