Medium meat lovers to go.

I was very pleased with my medium meat lovers. Plenty of toppings. I wouldn't be against a little more cheese. Even the crust, which I don't usually eat, was crispy and very good.

Our pizza was okay! The sauce was tasty and fresh. The slice was pretty big too. I also got a caesar salad, it was kinda small, and they gave me teeny pieces of chicken. I dont know if I'd come back and eat luna pizza again, but it was pretty good for lunch.

I'd like to start by saying we did not have their PIZZA which I have heard is very good. That being said.... We entered and decided to sit in the bar or lounge area. This area has many photos of elephants and has details like elephant bar rails. ( The photos make it feel a little outdated. ) Onto the food. I ate it, but I won't again.. The Eggplant Parm was bizarre. It appears there were three slices of soggy eggplant completely buried in sauce. My husband ordered a salad, he said it was nothing spectacular. My advice is stick to what they are known for, and that's pizza.

Best pizza in the Hartford area, and I've only had takeout so it wasn't even fresh! Probably even better if you dine in.

They were very large, and I liked the diced cucumbers, which is not typical. The hot sauce was also very good. It reminds me of siriacha. Also, the Chick-fil-A drive thru which dominates the three restaurants in the building was jammin. So cars were coming and going like it was rush-hour on the Long Island Expressway. We ordered at the counter, and the food was delivered to us at our table. There were two televisions, going one with a football game on it from I don't know where or who is playing, and the Senate hearings were going on another television. In the background was music. It was a little busy noise wise to say the least. I ordered a lamb Gyro, , which which included tzatziki sauce, cucumber, tomato, and onion. Also included with this order, were shoestring french fries that were well seasoned, crisp, and on point. The fries reminded me of McDonald's. Also included was a fountain drink. The restaurant was slow, with one party of two just finishing up when we walked in. I saw only one other customer walk in when we were eating. So in other words, this place was dead. Jersey Mike's next-door was hopping, along with two doors down Chick-fil-A. Lunch was quite expensive at $32 for two. My friend had a cheesesteak with fries which didn't look big at all. All in all, I don't see the value here. The food was good, but really pricey. This was a destination to try once. On the way out, I did notice pizzas on the counter selling per slice. Those didn't look appetizing. With so many restaurants in Glastonbury, there are many better choices than this On a positive note, it was nice seeing the lamb carved from a spit that was going behind the counter.

Slice Works - Glastonbury…read more Walk in and the first thing you feel is it's not just a pizza spot, it's a place with purpose. Bright, welcoming, no attitude. The kind of place where you actually want to hang out for a minute, not just grab a slice and bolt. The walls, the energy, even the kids' drawings... it all leans into community. And that's not by accident. Slice Works is known for creating real opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They're not just "hiring", they're building confidence, skills, and a sense of belonging. That matters. A lot. It's the kind of mission that lines up perfectly with what Dough Daddy is about, food bringing people together, giving back, and creating something bigger than what's on the plate. Now let's get to the slices. Grandma Slice * Medium thickness, right in that sweet spot, not too heavy, not too thin * Sauce-forward in the best way possible * Sweet and savory tomatoes in perfect balance acid/sweet working together, garlic bringing that low-key punch * Thinly sliced garlic that doesn't smack you, just taps you on the shoulder and says "I'm here" * Cheese plays a supporting role, and that's the right call * Dough is well-developed, holds up, and has a tender interior with just enough structure Translation: The sauce is the star, and everything else knows its role. Sicilian Slice * Thicker, more substantial * Less sauce, more cheese * Sauce is good, but intentionally less aggressive than the Grandma * Smart build, nothing fighting for attention * Dough, cheese, and sauce all working together instead of trying to win MVP Translation: This one's about balance. No hero, just a strong team effort. Undercarriage Check * Legit. * Nice char, structure holds, no flop issues * You're not wearing this slice, you're eating it And then... the closer. Foxon Park White Birch You already know. If you don't, now you do. That crisp, clean, slightly nostalgic bite cuts right through the richness and resets your palate for the next bite like a pro. Final Take * Great pizza * Even better mission * The kind of place you root for Strong Buy. Highly recommended.

I really wanted to like this place, I really did. However it seemed to fall short on many levels…read moreand I struggled with the 3-star rating because it really could have been better. I stopped in for a takeout lunch and grabbed four slices and a drink. Normally when I try a pizza place I go for the plain cheese slice first (b/c if you can't do that well I'm not interested in anything else) but they didn't have any available so I'll go slice by slice with this review. First up was the White Pizza, simple pie with Ricotta, Mozzarella and Parmigiano. This wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't very flavorful. Most places will use a garlic and herb base or something to give it some extra flavor but this was just ok. The Chicken-Bacon-Ranch was probably the best of the four I tried, though it was a little light on the toppings. If it had a bit more chicken and/or bacon I would have enjoyed it a lot more than I did but overall it was good, but could be much better. The Buffalo Chicken pizza was not what I am used to. I'm spoiled by the version that Hometown Pizza does where the chicken chunks are breaded and sauced and the finished pie is topped with bleu cheese dressing. This was a pizza with shredded chicken and hot sauce so, technically buffalo chicken but like the other slices, lacking on the toppings so hard to say it was anything other than just "OK". The Big Mac slice was really the biggest disappointment. First off, the Big Mac is a BURGER and there was hardly any burger on the pizza at all. Though there were some sesame seeds present there were none on the crust. The primary toppings here seem to be the 'sauce' and lettuce which tasted more like Russian dressing than "Big Mac" sauce. It's a nice enough place, cozy inside and the staff is friendly for the most part, I wouldn't mind sitting down for a nice lunch but, as many others have mentioned there are a LOT of good pizza places within a short distance so I'm not sure I'll be coming back anytime soon. I'm not sure why they're so light on the toppings but if your slice pies are that skimpy there's no way I'd order a whole pie. Barely three stars.

The inside was entirely empty, a few people stopped by to pick up their orders, but no one was dining inside. On the wall they have awards they've received from 2011 to 2025, all for being in the top 10 restaurants. It was a bit awkward being the only ones here, but there are bigger issues in the world. Their menu offers pizzas, pasta, gyros, salads and more. We first got an order of their sautéed calamari. This had a nice tender and chewy texture. This is unlike what most places offer. The sauce was also very flavorful, we actually ate it by the spoonful like a soup. Their garlic bread was great for dipping into the sauce. Not a very garlicky garlic bread but not bad. We all got some variation of the gyro, with salad, fries or rice. Mine was with the Greek Salad. This Greek Salad was very fresh and the feta cheese on it sealed it all together. Unfortunately the lamb in the gyro was very overcooked and dry. It wasn't good at all. The tzatziki sauce is always a favorite. Overall I wasn't super impressed with my meal. I might stop by sometime in the future and try something else.

There's a good selection of food and quality cocktails. It's only 3PM-5PM so get here early. My sister also likes their GF pizza (with pepperoni). The pizza kitchen is an open one. The music is definite oldies in here. Disco Inferno! For my first drink, I'm having an Our Negroni made with Beefeater Gin, Campari, sweet vermouth and San Pelligrino Arancitta. Pelligrino Arancitta is an unusual ingredient. Sanpellegrino Aranciata is the original sparkling orange drink from Italy. I've never seen this in a Negroni other than at here. It is served quickly, garnished nicely with an orange wheel and a rosemary leaf (also odd). What a nice touch! They are quick to drop off a complementary ice water. For my first food item, I'm having the Chopped Antipasto Salad made with to subs lettuce, provolone cheese, Genoa salami, string beans (that's new), tomatoes, chick peas (that's different) and Parmesan cheese. They use cloth napkins and metal utensils. That's always a good sign. This is a good sized portion! I remember it as being much smaller before (I could be wrong). All the ingredients are quite fresh. It tastes great! For my next food item, I'm having the Our Meatballs made with parmigiano and garlic bread crumbs (per the Happy Hour menu). These are really the MY AUNT JOSIE'S MEATBALLS (just one less) made with stracciatella, mozzarella, toasted breadcrumbs and EVOO (per the Dinner Menu). These came out quick! They are piping hot! Oh yeah! These are delicious! Sauce is great too! For my next drink, I'm having The Spicy Mango. This is made with Tanteo Jalapeño tequila and Patron Mango Citrone. I'm hoping for a fresh jalapeño garnish. Let's see if they have it. Nope! But, the bartender offered a Tajin rim. Good idea! There a good crowd in here and it's nut even 4PM yet. The bar is full including the two high tops. This tastes great! It's nicely garnished with a lime wheel and has a huge Tajin rim. It's has a little kick to it too! For my next food item, I'm having the Grilled Artichoke. This is made with crushed hazelnuts, lemon and Parmesan cheese. This is definitely a unique item you can't get anywhere else. These is good! I love the salad! Love those hazelnuts! What a unique dish! For my next food item, I'm having the Roasted Prosciutto Wrapped Dates. These are made with Gorgonzola cheese, toasted pumpkin seed and raw Brussels sprouts salad. These are great! Crunchy on the outside. I move that salad! Wow! They're playing Born to Be Alive by Patrick Hernandez. I've never heard that in a restaurant. He's a one hit wonder! For my next drink, I'm having the Venetian Martini. This is made with Absolut Citron, Aperol, Prosecco and lime juice. It's is nicely garnished and tastes great! It is strong too. You can taste the alcohol let me yell you! For my next item, I'm having the Happy Hour Cheeseburger (cooked medium) made with lettuce, tomato, provolone and a brioche bun. I'm not leaving here without it! This burger is huge! I love dill pickles and ketchup! This is delicious! For my last drink, Mercedes is making me a Mercedes Manhattan. Look at this masterpiece! A Manhattan is a classic, spirit-forward cocktail made with whiskey (traditionally rye or bourbon), sweet vermouth, and Angostura bitters, stirred with ice and served in a chilled glass, typically garnished with a maraschino cherry or lemon twist. It's known for its balanced, complex flavor, with rye providing spice and bourbon offering sweetness, and variations exist using different spirits or vermouths. This is absolutely perfect! It's perfect garnished with an orange peel, two maraschino cherries and a sprig of rosemary. It is perfectly balanced. There simply is no better than this. It has a hint of chocolate in it. I like the square ice cube to slow the dilution process. They just played Waterloo by ABBA. I haven't heard that in decades! I just noticed that the lights dim as the night goes on. For dessert, I'm having the Vanilla Creme Brulee with a chocolate chip cookie. Hold the phone here! This was served in UNDER ONE MINUTE! I'm told they just torch it. I'm impressed! I think that's a record! I love the confectionery sugar sprinkle! Damn! This is good! No vanilla bean on the bottom (not everyone does that). Wait! I see it. It's on the edges! This is delicious! It's a good portion for sure! The last item is a GF pepperoni pizza for my sister. This is a rare treat she gets once (or twice a year). This place is the best!
