I have been getting pizza from here for the past 4 years. It's absolutely the best (Greek) pizza I've ever had! Yes, who doesn't love New Haven style pizza? This place is the whole package. I always order a small cheese pie and when I pick it up, I ask if they put extra anchovies on it?!?! It's been a running joke ever since I started getting my pizza from them! The crust is thick, crunchy and buttery tasting! The cheese is like it was torched slightly, love the crispness of it without it tasting burnt. The sauce is sweet and light, very tasty! I guess the other great thing about West Side Pizza is the owners and staff. They are gems. Always friendly and polite, kid around like you're family. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! One of the last places I visited before all the restaurants shut down for dine-in. Comfortable food in a comfortable environment. Our server loved to talk and I loved it. Very sanitary with that hand sanitzed as well. Haha. Had a half pepperoni and half sausage pizza with some french fries. The fries were fries, just as I would expect and the pizza was cheesey and greasy in a good way. I did not feel skimped out on meat or anything really. The food took a little longer than usual but I'll let it slide because it was still really good. Nothing too crazy really it was just a basic and comfortable pizza. Comfort is a great thing, no matter how long you wait or the price you pay, you know what you're getting and that's really all I could say about this place. So yes, it's that decent pizza restaurant in the neighborhood, one of those and I love these type of restaurants. It's like the definition of a small local business. Threw it in the trash. No resolution offered other than to drive back 30 minutes from stafford and have it remade. In today's high priced world, $18 for a sub made the wrong way is honestly infuriating. I was careful to instruct it NOT be cooked. Also, open the dang bathroom to patrons. This world is so annoying. We were looking for a new restaurant in a town nearby, and thanks to Yelp we ended up here. Our waitress was so sweet and down to earth. We kept it pretty simple for our dinner. We ordered an appetizer of a half order of garlic bread with cheese, and for dinner we split a medium pepperoni pizza. YUM! Garlic bread was good, and a perfect blend of cheese and spice. The pizza was just phenomenal. Good amount of pepperoni, and the pepperoni was a decent size too! The crust was cooked perfectly. When I reheated the leftovers, it tasted the same as if I was there at the restaurant! I just put it in the oven at 350 for 8 minutes, and it was the perfect small lunch. The only downside the bottom of the crust was a tad soggy, but I think that's just from the amount of toppings. West side has that old school everyone knows your name kind of vibe. This place is around the corner from my job and why is it that just now I am finding out about this place??? $8.50 for chicken parm lunch special which comes with side of pasta, salad and garlic bread. Where have you been my whole life? I really enjoy chicken parm and the amount of food they give you for the price. You can't beat it. I've been here twice already in the last two days for lunch and the lunch special hasn't disappointed me yet. The chicken cutlet breast is thick and juicy. The tomato sauce is very well seasoned and sweet, which I like; and they put a decent amount of cheese that is perfectly melted to a nice crisp without drying it out, or forming a hard dry crust. The salad is what you would expect from any pizza place. Let me put it this way... you would not come here for the salad. If you do you need help lol. The garlic bread is mehhh... Still, you can't beat the price. I've never been fuller on $8.50, not even from Wendy's or any other fast food place. Service is good. The lady working behind the counter is quirky which adds a little experience to your visit here. Overall I think it is great, and if you interact with her and she'll make you laugh.
