We ordered pizza delivery from nearby Fratelli Pizzeria for the first time. A medium House Villa Special and a small Bianca. The Villa Special was 14 inches and had pepperoni, sausage, meatball, bacon, peppers, mushrooms, onions and mozzarella. Even though there were numerous different toppings, the pizza was not overloaded. It had thin crust and a mild red sauce. The crust was thin in a way different from other local thin crust places. Almost like a St. Louis style pizza. The Bianca was a 12 inch white pizza and had spinach and ricotta. The crust was the same as the Villa Special. The spinach, ricotta and white sauce were good. The pizzas were tasty and I like Fratelli as a good change of pace delivery option since it's different from other area pizzas. Four Stars.

We ordered the Juve pizza. SO GOOD! See photo- doesn't it looks delicious?? It was as tasty as it looks. We've def found our new go-to spot for a white pizza. Thanks, Fratelli's! The owners are super polite and kind. We'll be back to try more menu items. Highly recommend.

Great pizza! Tried this place on a whim (and also bc of great reviews) and it was great. Classic cheese and the meat lovers- we were all very happy. The small was perfect for two people, maybe even three depending how much you eat. We ordered through Grubhub so can't comment on service but we can say the order was made quickly and cooked perfectly. Will def try again!

This place is definitely family owned. The atmosphere was homie and everyone in it seemed to know each other. The guy that took my order was very nice. I was super hungry so I dared to try the large Calzone. And let me tell you this thing was ginormous. Needless to say I couldn't finish it. The best thing about it is even with its size it was not super greasy. If I ever come back to Connecticut I will be going back to this place.

For two days in a row, I ordered Fratelli's and it has been really delicious! The first night, we ordered pizza. We ordered a medium Shrimp Scampi Pizza- Shrimp, Fresh Garlic, Mozzarella (White) and the Alfredo Pizza- chicken, broccoli, cheese and white sauce. Both were really tasty! For mediums, they were a great size as well. The next day I ordered a couple of salads. The house salad and the Fratelli Salad. The Fratelli Salad had lettuce, pineapple, bacon, chicken, tomato, green peppers, onions, cucumbers, olives with fresh mozzarella cheese and it was tossed in creamy Italian. The Fratelli Salad was so refreshing. I loved the pineapple in it. Definitely not your average salad. I will definitely continue to try other types of pizzas too. They have a good selection of gourmet pies. My friend and I really enjoyed the pizzas! There are still leftovers too. The gift that keeps giving.

Have been here a few times now. I've tried their wraps, gyros and pizzas. Really nice guys with really good food. I highly recommend.

The sweet potato fries were very crispy and delicious. I would get the same meal again as would my wife. What really stood out was the outstanding service. Throughout our meal, several staff members checked in to make sure everything was good and asked if we needed anything. The attention and hospitality made us feel very welcome. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Prime Burger. In fact, I've already been back and will continue to return.

Crispy on the outside, packed with well-seasoned chicken inside. Good spice, not overpowering. Came with a salsa and a ketchup-mayo style sauce, both worked, but the salsa had a little more life to it. Before that, warm ciabatta hit the table with a house-made dipping sauce. Oil-based with garlic, blue cheese, and a few other layers going on. The blue cheese gave it a subtle kick without taking over. Nice way to start. Now to the burger, the Luger Burger. I'm assuming it's a nod to the classic steakhouse, but didn't get full confirmation. The sauce is made in-house: slightly sweet, a little acidic (I picked up balsamic), smooth texture. It's a good sauce, it just needed a bigger voice on this burger. The burger itself is large. And I mean large. Menu said thick-cut bacon... that wasn't the case. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. Now I'm going to get a little critical, because this is where it matters. The burger needed more salt. There's a lot of beef here, and it can absolutely handle it. Even something as simple as salting the tomato would've helped bring things together. If the bacon had actually been thick-cut, that alone might've bridged the gap. This was a very beef-forward burger, to the point where the supporting flavors barely showed up. The patty felt a bit too tightly packed, which gave it a denser bite and let the beef dominate the whole experience. A looser grind or lighter hand forming it would've made it more tender and allowed everything else to come through. It also needed more acid. The Luger sauce was applied lightly, so either lean into it more or bring in something else, a pickle, a sharper onion, something to cut through the richness and balance it out. The bun was soft, nicely toasted, and held up well, which isn't easy with a burger this size. Fries were hand-cut, properly salted, and exactly what you want. No complaints there. Overall, this is a great spot. Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. Staff was excellent. Food was good, with flashes of being really good. With a few small tweaks, mainly balance and execution on the burger, this could easily jump to the next level.

The restaurant wasn't too crowded, but there were still a fair number of people, which was nice. There were a few specials--chicken noodle soup, meatloaf, etc that seemed tempting as well. I know I'll have to get that next time! Because this appetizer stole the show. I absolutely will have to get it again next time. I got the fish and chips, which were stellar! They were heavy on the fish and a little lighter on the breading than I normally expect, which was nice. The fries and coleslaw were delicious too--I really loved the fries. Food: 3.8/5 Service: 3.4/5…read moreAmbiance: 3.7/5 Value: 3.6/5 The Charles is a nice upscale restaurant on Main Street in Wethersfield which opened in 2020 and quickly made Connecticut magazine's list of best restaurants. It is inside an old house of some sort, so it has a charming ambiance. They have a small parking lot so the spaces are a bit tight. Then, although we were on time for our 8:15pm reservation, we found out that they didn't have a table for us on the main floor, which is bad because my parents have mobility issues and cannot climb stairs. They asked us if we would be ok waiting five or ten minutes. Sure, that was fine we said. The host was very reassuring and he let us know that the corner table near the fireplace was finishing up and he'd get it bussed promptly. So that was good. But after we sat down we experienced service issues. Many items were unavailable. No orrechiete. No crab cakes. No sirloin special. It was weird. We hadn't arrived that late, on a Saturday night, how could so many dishes be sold out/unavailable? We ended up going with the scotch egg $11 and butternut squash arancini balls $12 for appetizers, which were both great. The scotch egg was a decent size and came with a mini salad. The arancini balls were small, but the truffle gorgonzola fontina cheese filling was really nice. Entrees were not bad. My Berkshire pork chop cooked medium was tender enough and had decent flavor. My Dad's veal ribs over mac and cheese were really good. My Mom's wagyu burger was tasty and my sister's salad was satisfactory. However the cost of the additional protein to the salad seems high (Grilled Chicken +14 / Seared Salmon +16/ Grilled Shrimp +21 / Churrasco Steak +24). The drinks were well made, but took a while to get to us. The "Charles... In Charge!" with old forester bourbon, montenegro, spiced cherry bitters, luxardo $15 was a hit. My Dad enjoyed his $17 Manhattan made with Angel's Envy bourbon. My $11 FreeBird mocktail was refreshing. Yet, throughout the night we found it difficult to get our server's attention. All four dishes did not arrive simultaneously. We had to flag someone down for more silverware after the appetizers were cleared. Right at the end when we were ready to pay, she got tied up listening to a couple at a neighboring table tell her a story or something. This must have been quite a yarn because she was totally enrapt and oblivious to our needs. We started wondering whether our table was actually her responsibility or not. Finally she came by and we let her know we were done, no dessert or after dinner drinks, just the check and a few boxes for takeout please. This was a new restaurant that we hadn't tried before, and maybe I took a risk by booking it for my Dad's 89th birthday, which was supposed to be special. Our experience was okay, and maybe we'd go again in the future, but there were too many more ups and downs this evening than I would have liked for a special occasion. I am rounding up to four stars overall, even though on this particular evening I didn't think each individual component met that mark exactly.
