I have to say when this place first opened up it was fabulous. The food was great. The burgers were the best burgers that you could get the beef they used was perfect. The onion rings were the onion rings that you would expect when you go to a restaurant large golden crispy. I have gone there a few times within the last year and half. I have to say I do believe the quality of the food has gone downhill. The hamburger in meat it's a poor combination with more fat than beef. The onion rings are the greatest disappointment they are the exact same onion rings that you get if you go to Burger King, I wish that I could say that it was better and that I would continue to go back, but I just don't think it's cutting it any longer. read more

Right away, the service stood out. Friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating without hovering. They knew the menu and let us enjoy the experience. We started with the chicken empanadas. Crispy on the outside, packed with well-seasoned chicken inside. Good spice, not overpowering. Came with a salsa and a ketchup-mayo style sauce, both worked, but the salsa had a little more life to it. Before that, warm ciabatta hit the table with a house-made dipping sauce. Oil-based with garlic, blue cheese, and a few other layers going on. The blue cheese gave it a subtle kick without taking over. Nice way to start. Now to the burger, the Luger Burger. I'm assuming it's a nod to the classic steakhouse, but didn't get full confirmation. The sauce is made in-house: slightly sweet, a little acidic (I picked up balsamic), smooth texture. It's a good sauce, it just needed a bigger voice on this burger. The burger itself is large. And I mean large. Menu said thick-cut bacon... that wasn't the case. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. Now I'm going to get a little critical, because this is where it matters. The burger needed more salt. There's a lot of beef here, and it can absolutely handle it. Even something as simple as salting the tomato would've helped bring things together. If the bacon had actually been thick-cut, that alone might've bridged the gap. This was a very beef-forward burger, to the point where the supporting flavors barely showed up. The patty felt a bit too tightly packed, which gave it a denser bite and let the beef dominate the whole experience. A looser grind or lighter hand forming it would've made it more tender and allowed everything else to come through. It also needed more acid. The Luger sauce was applied lightly, so either lean into it more or bring in something else, a pickle, a sharper onion, something to cut through the richness and balance it out. The bun was soft, nicely toasted, and held up well, which isn't easy with a burger this size. Fries were hand-cut, properly salted, and exactly what you want. No complaints there. Overall, this is a great spot. Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. Staff was excellent. Food was good, with flashes of being really good. With a few small tweaks, mainly balance and execution on the burger, this could easily jump to the next level. read more

(Last visited December 30, 2023.) Close to home is Prime Burgers and we heard some good things about this place! So here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: This place brings upscale vibes with lots of space that's warm and inviting. There's lots of light, decently quiet and with their own private parking lot! Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but she was awesome. She made sure we had everything that we needed and that we were well taken care of. Enzo the owner and chef actually came out to talk to us too! That's always a pleasure. Food: When seated you're brought some homemade bread with their Enzo sauce. The sauce contains sundried tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, red peppers and black pepper. When spooned onto the garlic bread it marries very well. There's a bit of a citrus flavor right up front, no spice at all, hearty and a very unique sauce to go with the warm, fluffy bread. For my first drink I had the Brown Sugar Old Fashion which consists of bourbon, brown sugar, house bitters with an orange garnish. It was a little sweet, but pretty good nonetheless. Next up were the smoked Buffalo wings. Beautiful looking wings that tasted incredible. The smoked flavor was so perfect that went with the various sauces that we tried. Next up was the Jalapeno Peach Margarita that consists of jalapeno-infused tequila, lime juice and peach puree. Delicious, spicy, yet tolerable with a fruity undertone. The first burger I got to try was The California Burger which is a "Prime" burger patty topped with crispy bacon, avocado, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and a garlic aioli sauce served with sweet potato fries on the side. You can get your burger cooked "pink" or "no pink". It was super juicy and flavorful. I LOVED it. The next burger I got to try was The Enzo Burger. This one consists of the same "Prime" burger topped with smoked mozzarella, pickles, spicy fried onions, lettuce, tomato and a chipotle ranch aioli sauce. Fantastic burger, period. Even better than the California joint. Burgers are easy to make be delicious when you start off with excellent beef. Value: Pretty solid. Wings are about $2.00 per wing if you get them outside of happy hour. They're $1.50 a wing if you can make there within the happy hour window. Each burger was about $17.00, which is extremely reasonable. In conclusion, I think this place deserves more recognition and fanfare! It's awesome, affordable, with friendly staff and amazing dishes! Went to Prime Burgers for dinner with the lady on a night out, based on Yelp reviews. The service was fantastic. We sat at the bar, and our bartenders were helpful and attentive; and the drinks we had were delicious. The interior is actually really nice too, we almost felt underdressed when walking in. Where things break down is the food. It's just not up to the standards of having 'prime' in the name, in my opinion. The burger was ok, but certainly not cooked to order. The dinner bread was hard, the French onion soup is not traditional and lacks intensity, and my lady ate a slice and a half of her flatbread before calling it quits. I don't want to sit here and bash, just being honest. At 6pm on a Thursday night, it should have been packed. We were one of 3-4 groups in the place from what it looked like. With a perfect location, great service staff, and a fantastic interior, this place is setup for success. The food unfortunately, just isn't up to par. We started with chicken nachos and cheeseburger egg rolls that were delicious! The espresso martini was spot on! We also had hamburgers which were sky, high and phenomenal along with the sirloin steak with scratch mashed potatoes, freshly sautéed garlic and spinach and melted in your mouth. For a good measure, they also serve fresh garlic butter to pour over your steak. Yum. We finished with tiramisu that was fluffy with fresh whipped cream and ice cream. I was told to check out Prime burgers and I'm glad I did. It's a white tablecloth experience for burgers! Outside looked like a regular burger joint, but Inside has a nice romantic ambiance with a wine wall, and lamps on each tabletop. We were served with bread to start with a delicious oil dip. Luckily we got there during happy hour and tried the garlic parm wings at just 1$ each! They could have been cooked longer because in my opinion I like my wings crispy but they were flavorful and came with blue cheese and a ranch sauce that tasted homemade. For our burger choices we decided on the California burger and the Butcher burger. The California burger had bacon, avocado, cheese, tomato, lettuce and a garlic aioli. The butcher burger had sharp cheddar cheese onion ring and bbq sauce. Both burgers were huge and tasty. We tried the hand cut fries which were amazing and the battered onion rings as another side. After driving by a few times, I finally visited for lunch. I caught them at a time when they were not busy. So whatever the case would normally be, service was very attentive. The inside was nicer than I expected. Nice enough to be a bistro or local steakhouse. Lots of dark wood and wine bottles. I ordered Enzo's burger, medium rare. Enzo's Burger comes with smoked mozzarella, fried onions, pickles, lettuce and Chipotle Ranch Aioli Sauce. The burger was large, cooked perfectly and seasoned differently than I'm used to. Not sure what cuts of meat they used for the burger, but it seemed like a unique blend. The Aioli Sauce did not agree with me. It was acidic in a way I wasn't expecting. The bread seemed like a Kaiser Roll, which was decent. I probably would use the "make your own burger" option next time. The Garlic Parm Fries were medium cut and pretty good. Four Stars read more

4 of us checked them out on Sunday. A friend said the food was very good. What we ordered was not very good but we ordered light and did not order any dinner entrees. We ordered. Fried Calimari which were way overdone and like rubber. They served them anyway. Lobster bisque. Decent flavor but there was literally one small piece of lobster in it. A cheeseburger with let, Tom, onion and bacon. The burger was too lean and over packed. It was very hard and not appetizing at all. The " bacon" was so thick it was like a slice of fried brisket. Hard and unable to bite through. The fries were good. The Reuben panini was the hit of the table I was told it was very good. Our first visit to Prime Burgers and it won't be the last visit. The service was on point. We were never left to wonder where our server was. Adrianna was very attentive. We were pleased with her A-1 service. This was a pizzeria previous to Prime Burgers. This was a nicely remodeled space. The ambiance had an upbeat and classy feel to it. I feel it would be great for a very romantic dinner. They had a nice mix of music playing in the background. For appetizers we ordered the Smoked wings and the Special Appetizer being offered: Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Crostini. The wings were great and reminded me of a Kitchen Sink wing where they were very seasoned and tasted really good, not a dry wing. The Shrimp Crostini came with a nice spoonful of Gorgonzola cheese on the bottom of the plate. Gorgonzola is rich in itself but it complimented the Shrimp Crostini perfectly. The King Salmon was huge and well worth the price. It was bedded on a nicely sized portion of Risotto and a thin layer of spinach. It was seared perfectly. I enjoyed it with a glass of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. My fiancé enjoyed the NY Strip with mashed potatoes and Brussels. The steak definitely had a nice sweet flavor that he paired with a nice Cabernet Sauvignon. You definitely want to make sure you're prepared for the bill. It is well worth the cost. We returned recently after not visiting in over a year. The interior is clean and still very attractive but we wondered why we were one of the few parties at 6 on a Wednesday. So, being positive, the French Onion soup was non traditional and lacked any real flavor. The beet salad with chicken ( deli sliced chicken placed on top of the greens was underwhelming as was the fish sandwich which was more tartar sauce than fish. Concerned I asked if there had been a changed in ownership as our previous visits had always found the dining area packed and the food outstanding. The answer was yes but that the kitchen staff was the same. I stopped in for lunch just before three in the afternoon, hoping to avoid a crowd and the potential wait that comes with it. The highly proffessional staff was quick pour my ice water, taking my order in the process. My choice today was the Black and Blueu burger, with a side of fries. My meal was served in just over ten minutes, which seemed longer, because I was hungry, and both televisions were showing a golf tournament. But, the breif wait was well worth it. I ordered my burger medium rare; and, I was pleasantly surprised to find that's what I got. This burger was just under an inch thick, juicy and even with the plentiful blue cheese sauce topping, it was evident that it was well seasoned. The grilled, carmelized onions added a touch of sweetness. The lettuce was crisp, the tomato was firm; and, both were fresh. Pickle chips were served on the side. The fries were served golden brown, crispy on the outside and soft on inside. So good was this meal that I almost forgot to snap picture. At just over fifteen bucks, before tip, the price was right, and the setting was comforatble. Let me preface this by stating If you're going to have "Burgers" in your title then you should make sure that you can make a decent burger. Let's begin with the service, for a small restaurant and what looks to be ample wait staff, they were struggling to keep up. Mind you it's the Friday night rush so that's almost to be expected post Covid. However, a little attention to detail goes a long way and having empty glasses and dirty dishes sit on the table for 20 minutes is just not that great. They were somewhat nice though. Now over to the food, or in my case the burger. The wait on the food for our 4-top (3 burgers & 1 salad), was no less than 45 minutes. The burger lacked flavor, cooked off temp and and for some reason they used a slab of pig fat instead of the "applewood smoked bacon" that was referenced on the menu. The fries were just as sad as the burger, tasteless. I will say the Salmon Caesar that my grandfather ordered looked great and he said that it was cooked well and had a great flavor. To follow up with the good the bread and the garlic oil dipping sauce was good as well. The "ambience" was well, fine. I mean it's a restaurant nothing fancy just a place to sit and chat for a while as you wait on your food. Overall for the cost of these "specialty" burgers and the sheer lack of culinary execution, I give this place a 2.3/10. In my opinion an easy pass and not worth returning to. This place may have some promise but there's definitely a lot of work both on the front and back of the house that needs to be addressed. read more

Both were ample in size. Salad was complimented with a generous well cooked to order piece of steak. Eggplant parmigiana with ziti was very good size with average flavors. Many still may be unaware of this gem. The menu is not huge. But the here is plenty variety to choose from and what they offer. They do it right. Including some killer salads that are meals alone. Portions more than adequate. Prices are a few bucks higher per item but really doesn't destroy the budget Unless maybe it's a special occasion and you go for one of the flagship seafood or beef entrees. Sides or salads are included so they don't nail you for every part of your meal like some places of this quality. Don't let the name Prime Burgers fool you. I just heard about this spot in Newington and had to try it . I have to say I loved it I got the Buffalo burger so good and to my surprise had a Buffalo wing on top I thought that was such a great touch to my burger!! The burger was very tender and juicey cooked a perfect medium just how I like it the cheese was amazing the fries were nice and crispy too!! We also had the fried calamari and that was also really good . The service was great and it had a really good atmosphere I personally was impressed and shocked I didn't hear about this spot earlier. The prices were very reasonable and that is always a plus. There were also other entrees that I will definitely be back to try !! Been seeing this place being built for a long while and said hmmm. Our kid decided to go to the school football game tonight so date night insued. The bread that came out was a little chewy with a dipping sauce that was delicious. We started with the smoked wings and 2 soups. Lobster bisque and French onion. The wings were Smokey but not overly so and were quite juicy. The French onion was OK, however the lobster bisque was one of the best Ike had. For out mains my wife ordered a burger which she had to knife and fork cause the bottom bun soaked through. My salmon in my Caesar salad was excellent. She had the carrot cake for desert and myself the creme brulee. Our waiter was excellent all in all great evening. We will return to this place most certainly. read more
