I'm back at Bistro Twenty 4! It's been a while and I have to say service is always excellent! Staff is always so friendly and attentive. I went for Thanksgiving. It was pretty busy since they only stayed open until 5pm. They definitely booked which was nice to see. It's always a nice ambiance. You have the bar, screens going if you prefer to relax and grab a drink . Food wasn't bad. I thought it was a tad bit salty. We started with the Pulpo and that's a winner in my eyes! Flavorful, tender ! Delicious!! I honestly would of just have that as a light meal haha! I didn't want to share. That good! Then I ordered the Black Pearl Salmon . Came with rice and veggies but I subbed veggies for a salad instead. They do give a huge portion of rice! Too much! Salmon was very good . And salad was tasty ! My dad ordered chicken masala and he enjoyed it. Overall it was good. He did say it was a tad bit salty . I had enough rice to bring home and share with him! I forgot to mention they they bring warm bread before the meals arrive. And they have great desserts too and a great list of cocktails and mocktails! They are always updated their drinking menu!

Great location and environment. They also have a nice private room for larger groups that can be reserved. My expectations on the gnocchi were pretty low. I knowingly broke a rule I have of never ordering Italian from a place where Italian isn't the primary focus. The gnocchi itself wasn't that bad. The sauce left a lot to be desired. I'd definitely go again based on some of the other meals I saw.

Food was very good. Was loud because trivia was going on. Nice vibes and good to see people having fun.

A hidden gem! And one of the best chicken ceaser wraps, I've had in a while. Located on Whiting Street , Bistro 24 is in the little Plainville village. The street is filled with small local restaurants. But I'm happy I decided to peek into this one. I went in on an unusually busy evening and ironically wanted something quick. The server was very honest and polite about the back up in the kitchen while running 3 different parties. They made me a drink to start with refreshing blueberries so I couldn't even be upset. Our waitress was phenomenal and suggested the stuffed mushrooms on the specials menu and they were big and had real crab meat in them. I was impressed. As I mentioned I was hungry and wanted something quick so we ordered a couple sandwiches, one being my new obsession the chicken ceaser wrap (with tater tots) and the other was a grilled chicken pesto sandwich on a ciabatta bread with sweet potato fries. Both were so yummy. I'm a dipper so I asked for a side of ranch and it was homemade and I ended up requesting an extra one to go with my leftovers because that's how good it was! Kudos to Bistro 24, I can't wait to go back and try one of their entrees!

Waitress was great: polite and attentive. It was a slow Thursday night after 7/30-food took A bit long to come out. However the food was very good.

We had a very nice meal. The ambience is cozy, modern feel and the service is friendly. We went early for dinner to avoid the Friday night rush so it was quieter than normal. We started with the fried calamari which was really good, crispy and not greasy. Fit our entrees we gad the chicken Parmesan and the chicken Milanese. Large portions and tasty.

The food was really well prepared. The seafood was fresh and cooked well. The octopus appetizer was tender and flavorful. The bistro shrimp was simple yet delicious. The atmosphere was festive and cozy. We sat to the left behind the bar and had great service. I will definitely returning!!

Had dinner last night with my husband, we shared the grilled octopus, mediterranean style for an app, it was delicious and is actually plenty for an actual meal. My husband had the NY strip was cooked just the way he likes it, the veggies were good. Ihad the scallops, they were cooked very well, the parmesan risotto was a tad under and a little to a dente. Got dessert to go, cheesecake, chocolate cake and pistachio cream pie hit the spot after we got home, cudoos to Nonnies bakery

Food was quite good, as was the service; even on a fairly busy night. Definitely worth a go!

The mule is definitely my favorite drink here, it's been made perfectly each time I had it. We had a big group, so we ordered a variety of bar bites and I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of all the food. Especially the garlic bread, wow!!! It was piping hot, fresh and fluffy and just perfect. The host for trivia did a fantastic job and created a super fun event for us. The questions were general-knowledge enough that mostly anyone could have participated. Somehow our team won and the prizes were so fun!! More people need to know about this place!!

I used to go down the street, but the music selection there changed. For those of you frequent to Southington, Spelunkers took over the old Dial 9 speakeasy location. It's a competitive food area and I didn't know what to expect. I'm happy to say that for being marketed as strictly a dive bar, Spelunkers hit all the marks and some. It also was surprisingly large inside compared to what it looked like from the outside (Which was great because some of the other bars nearby are cramped). Their burgers were good and my friends felt the same way about the food that they ordered as wll. They have ample seating (and a variety of it) as well as a pool table and some arcade games to do while listening to music. Prices for drinks were also fair. The interaction that I had with staff, although brief was very friendly. The band they had that night was excellent. Glad I came to see them. They played an eclectic mix of both genres and decades. They were energetic, their song choice were great and they were refreshing to see compared to the typical Southington fare. If they come back to Spelunkers, I'll free my schedule up to come and see. Been watching the socials . Happy to have a fun bar experience again around here and look forward to my next trip.

Don't let the outside of this place fool you because looks are definitely deceiving. We were cautious coming to this place due to the appearance of the outside, but once we were in it was so much fun. Agus, aka rawbartender, was Ah-mazing and truly made the night fun. He was truly such a vibe!! I ordered the SpongeBob, which was Goslings rum, pineapple spice, ginger, lime, angostura bitters. Especially with the show that was put on, my drink tasted even better. It was a Smokey, yet smooth and refreshing drink! We also got the Snow White, on the sweeter side made with Pear vodka, orgeat, pear juice, lemon juice, cinnamon. And of course, we can't forget our schooling in tequila and Mezcal from Agus. He was very informative of what he was serving and we tried a few different shots. He gave us the rundown of how you're actually supposed to taste tequila. And I have to say I've never had an experience like that before. I wish the party didn't stop and I will definitely be coming back specifically for Agus and of course the drinks!

The bartender was fabulous . And made great drinks ! We just got drinks I got the peaches peaches which was pleasantly really good not to sweat or bitter , not to overpowering with peach flavour very well balanced . They also offer small bites / food. I will def be back to try some more options !

They've since expanded the size of their tasting room into another huge, open space full of high tops and comfortable lounge seating along with a bar mixing up creative cocktails. The new space also has tons of pinball machines and other games. We stopped in after a movie on a Friday at about 6:30. There were a few groups hanging out but it wasn't too busy at all. It was pretty chill vibe, and I got the sense that a lot of locals frequent them, which is cool. We hung out for nearly two hours and by the time we left the only other folks there were at the bar in the front room. The beer is still good! I did want to try some of their cocktails though. They have some pretty creative cocktails made with interesting homemade syrups, shrubs, and the like. I tried the Honey Don't which was tart but well balanced. I wished it was a little spicier, but I am a spice fiend. Then I felt for something a little sweeter so I went with the Poolside gossip. All the different ingredients really combined into a unique and delicious flavor! I really enjoyed what they have going on. The space was comfortable and relaxed and there's something on their drinks menu for literally everyone, plus entertainment. They have small snacks available, but you're also welcome to bring your own food. So it's basically like a very relaxed bar. We'll definitely be stopping in more frequently!

Although his professional background was in advertising, Sigman had been an avid homebrewer since 1994. Eventually he decided to open his own brewery. Sigman chose the name "Relic" to reference his world travels. Aiming to craft artisanal ales inspired by flavors from around the world, he thought of himself as more of a chef than a brewer. Sigman doesn't brew beer based on which styles are trendy, but rather beers that he personally enjoys with tastes that he views as complimentary or exciting. I have visited Relic Brewing multiple times since I first became serious about craft beer in 2013. At that time, Relic was one of maybe 10 breweries in the state (today there are over 100). Of those original 10, only half remain in business. The taproom was very small during my initial visit: about 10 square feet and they only served small free samples. I recently stopped there with my older son because it occurred to me that I hadn't been there in at least 10 years. A lot had changed! In 2016, a full bar was added and Relic began to serve full pint pours as well as craft cocktails. A large back room addition opened in 2019, which featured a fully furnished lounge and a pinball arcade slowly evolved. When I first arrived, I ordered a taster flight which featured "Oktoberfest", "Nebraska IPA", "The Whim" (New England IPA), and "Double Whim" (Double New England IPA). I grabbed my flight and headed to the back room with my son. He was so excited to play the pinball machines and other various arcade games. The two of us had a nice father-son bonding experience playing pinball as I also enjoyed my beer samples; the "Oktoberfest" was my favorite! If you like great beer paired up with pinball, then head down to Relic Brewing!

Caesar salad was fine. Wings were odd, we got the sweet and smoky dry rub, which was essentially flavorless. The wings were lukewarm but fully cooked, making us think they had just been sitting in a warmer. They brought ranch instead of blue cheese and it took several minutes to bring blue cheese, while the wings only got colder. The pizza was some of the worst I've ever had. Super doughy, too much low quality cheese. We ate it because we had an event after and we didn't have time to go anywhere else. But it was not good. I was relieved it was only $8 due to happy hour pricing, normal price would have been $15!!?? I would have sent it back for that price. Our server was pleasant enough, but she seemed new and had to keep asking her manager every time we asked a question. They probably can't keep good servers because they aren't busy because their food is sub par. Just a guess. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here.
