Veal chop

I have to say what a great experience. The food is amazing. We had the prize fixe menu what a great idea you pick the entrée of your choice salad , dessert and Grazing Board included. The Grazing Board was a nice little surprise . I had the rack of lamb it came with 6 chops perfectly cooked and seasoned I also had the wedge salad it was good but just wish the tomatoes and bacon could have been cut up smaller for dessert I ordered the coconut custard bar that wasn't my favorite. It had very little custard, and it was quite hard to chew. My husband had the Veal chop it was outstanding with a lot of flavor cooked perfectly he asked to substitute the mashed potatoes for roasted vegetables, which wasn't a problem!! He had the flourless chocolate cake it was delicious that was a big hit wow . Service was on top of everything and friendly. Ambiance was quiet dining also casual. Great place for a date night. I am looking forward to going back .

I chose this place for an intimate setting to celebrate a milestone stone birthday with my best friends. It was cozy and warm, with a darker ambiance. Our server was phenomenal. She greeted us and gave us time to get settled and from beginning to end was very attentive and friendly. Nataz is a 4 course adventure in eating dining experience. We started with a grazing board for the table which included bread, butter, cheese slices, olives, strawberries and raspberries with a goat cheese ball covered in nuts and honey. We also started off with the crab cake and were kind of bummed they only had one left, but was happy because when we each took a bite, it was delicious. They also redeemed themselves by coming over with a complimentary meatball appetizer that had happy birthday written on the plate! It was so cute and yummy. Unfortunately while ordering our meals they also ran out of a few dishes, one being the heavenly lobster dish I specifically came for. But did have some extra fish options that were specials that were not listed on the menu. I ordered the cod served over a linguini clam sauce and it was good and a very light meal which I enjoyed after stuffing my face with bread. I also took a bite of everyone's dishes and overall it was a great eating adventure for me! Everything was great and we were so full that I had to take home the included dessert which was a lemon mascarpone. I ate it for breakfast and it was one of the best breakfasts I've had!! I will definitely be back because I need to try the lobster dish and get that mascarpone again!

I was invited to the Southington locale to attend my granddaughter's birthday dinner. I arrived a little ahead of the 6PM appointed hour and was seated immediately. The lead Waiter was very accommodating, explaining their service model, asking about any food allergies and serving my Hendricks & Tonic with double lime. When the remaining party members arrived, we were immediately served a "Grazing Board" containing cheeses, olives, bread & flavored butter. After taking our order choices, my Nataz Signature Salad appeared and others got the Nataz Wedge ...both received positive comments from our crowd. My entry choice was the Nataz Original Zuppa Fra Diavolo and it was HUGE & tasty, The Birthday Girl got the Delmonico Steak and was VERY pleased with her choice. The third course was a choice of desserts of which most of us got "to go", given the generous servings that preceded it. Overall, I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and can't wait to go back!

You will not be disappointed! Great value! The bread was waiting on table when we got seated, they quickly brought out charcuterie board and apparently since it was a slow and just after opening up the chef had time and to make something extra for us, garlic cheese bread with olive tapenade. Definitely a delicious addition. Then you get to choose one of two salads. I did signature it was yummy! I ordered filet perfectly cooked as I ordered it and flavorful and my mom got rack of lamb, no complaints. Service was quick, though it was a Thursday at 6p when we went. Everyone was friendly! I love the idea of the pre-fixe menu! Did I mention it includes dessert! This location isn't very big so be sure to make reservations.

Amazing spot! We had the salmon, some steaks, & a nice bottle of wine. Thank you Kareem for the great service! He explained everything so well & had some great recommendations.

Nataz in Southington is a true gem! We had my company's holiday party here mid-week during the day before they opened for regular dinner service and it was AMAZING! The setup was great for our group and the restaurant was decorated beautifully. We had two dedicated waitresses, Sara and Heather, who went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a drink upon sitting down and that everyone got their food in a timely manner. Both Sara and Heather were very polite and accommodating, even weaving in and out of our employees and Santa participating in a gift exchange. Special thank you to Chuck for setting everything up for us! The food was exceptional! From the grazing boards to the salads to the entrees and dessert, everything was flavorful and cooked/presented perfectly. If you are looking for a great local place with really good food, check out Nataz for your next event or dinner out with family/friends. You definitely will not be disappointed!

What an honor to see Chef Rick in Southington. After over 15 years of dining at many of his locations I'm glad Southington is one of them. Never had a questionable dinner. Service/ food/ ambiance is one of the best in the state.

Drinks were too sweet, food was overall not bad. The salmon did not taste fresh at all, but the snapper was pure perfection. Espresso was so bitter I could not stomach it, it tasted burnt. Dessert was wonderful. Overall, some hits and misses but infinitely better quality than anything else center st has to offer. The interior was much nicer than I had anticipated, and service was top notch. Our server truly was the sweetest and apologized about the salmon, was incredibly attentive to our needs so I'll bump my rating a bit for that.

Food is always good, new space is really nice. Same chef and menu as the former location but with a full bar. The seafood and beef are always solid choices and the brazing pot is consistently good.

Great little Hidden Gem in the center of Southington. As the other reviews have stated it's 4 course prix fixe menu. I got the filet which was done perfectly. My friend got the salmon and was also very satisfied. Everything was cooked perfectly. Portions are not large but due to the cheese board salad and dessert, everything works well together. It is a very cozy setting with smaller rooms. My only complaint was that there was no chocolate option on the dessert plate.

We weren't expecting table service in the common area but they were on it. The plating was beautiful and so is the factory building it's self. I even came back a few hours later during dinner to look for my lost wallet and the server came out and went through the chair cushions, above and beyond. I've always recommended this place for my food but after this experience I will recommend this place to lose their belongings!

We couldn't wait to come back. Several months later on our second visit, we arrived well before their posted closing time - 9pm. It was around 7:45pm, the lights were on, but the door was locked and the staff seemed to be cleaning up. One of them looked up, saw us standing at the door and then went back to doing whatever they were doing without bothering to engage with us. It was incredibly frustrating having driven almost an hour with the expectation of getting some delicious food, only to be ignored by staff at a time when they were supposed to be open. Many months later (giving them the benefit of the doubt that the early closure on our last visit was a fluke) we made the trip up again. We arrived to find the place was locked up and dark - again during a time when they were supposed to be open. Today I was with some friends and we stopped to have lunch at Smokin' With Chris next door. During our meal, I mentioned my past experiences with The Lab, but also said how good the food was. So, we walked over to look at the menu and possibly pick up dinner for later that evening. It was around 1:30pm, the lights were off and the door was locked. I double-checked their website, and they were supposed to be open at 11:30am. While I was on my phone, an employee came up, unlocked the door, turned on the lights and began his shift - two full hours after they were supposed to be open! WTF?! Apparently, the owners of The Lab seem to believe that their food is so epic that they can just operate their business whenever they like regardless of their posted hours. This total lack of consideration for their customers is beyond insulting. It's really too bad because the food is good, but not good enough to offset the unprofessional manner the owners are running (or in this case, not running) this place. There are way too many other great dining options available nearby that actually adhere to their posted hours to put up with this nonsense.

The price for takeout for these (3) things were on the high side to not include a side salad. With that said, we were aware that those weren't included as it wasnt listed on their online ordering. We just figured the portion for both Entrees were likely larger and thats why you paid a la carte for the salad. We come back home with the takeout and to our surprise for quite a high price, the portions were small. How small, each meal fit with pasta inside a plastic container, similar to those used for Asian takeout. For any other restaurant that serves Chicken Parmigana, its always been a larger round metal dish with pasta on the side. Typically with 2 pieces of chicken. Putting portion aside as one can argue that we may have been able to find that out before ordering, the (2) entrees were not great. The Chicken Parmigana had one piece of chicken and the chicken was charred, dry, minimal amount of cheese and the both the chicken and pasta itself had a scarce amount of pasta sauce. I found myself having to scrub the side of the dish for any sauce left. The lemon bay chicken was also quite dry and unfortunately the mixture of recip (chicken, pasta and sauce) was quite tasteless. I'm not typically one to leave a 1 or 2 star reviews often, as I'd rather just not go again to the place where I had said experience but between the quality of food, price and portion, this place falls into a bit of an exception for me. Look, I've eaten at many places, if your portions are going to small for the price (and without sides), then the quality needs to EXCEED the excepted regional standard for that dish to justify that reasoning. This experience did not do that, instead we are left with half of take home container of each meal that we will have to toss in trash for Fathers Day.

A friend of mine and I went to Craft Kitchen for lunch on this Thursday…read more There was plenty of parking to the right of the restaurant, and the side entrance was right there. As I walked through the front doors, I noticed kegs alongside on the floor. This was kind of a turn off, kind of reminds me of a dive bar. So my mentality kicked in that we were going into a dive bar serving food. I kinda get the sketchy feeling. Once we were seated, and menus placed, we were served iced water A few minutes later, the server came back and took our order. My friend ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and some string french fries. I ordered the 1/2 smoked chicken, which came with two sides. I chose the rattlesnake beans and the creamy macaroni and cheese. Also include included was cornbread I originally wanted the street corn, as a side, but it was not available. Our lunches came quick, and my friend only ate half the french fries and cheeseburger, as she wasn't really turned on by them. The smoked chicken was fairly dry, with a very interesting smoked flavor to it that I can't put my finger on. I eat about 1/3 of it. Left the rest on the plate. The creamy macaroni and cheese was out of bounds top-notch. I could've eaten this all day. The rattlesnake rice and beans were just OK. The rice was cooked pretty good, and was seasoned well. The beans had a weird taste. Now thinking of this side dish, I was hoping for raw onions to be on top, but they were nowhere to be found. It'll be nice if there was chopped raw onions to go with this. The cornbread was delicious. I ate about half of it. It was a generous slice. While the server was fairly attentive, as she only checked in to fill the water glasses and ask how lunch was. She didn't ask us if we wanted a desert or coffee. Being old folks this would've been a great up for us, but it didn't happen. I had to ask for the check. I'm not sure if I would come back. I think this might be a one and done. The vibe just didn't hit it for me. Restrooms were clean. The restaurant was clean; the silverware clean. I don't know. It just was like a funky type layout and those beer kegs kinda sent the wrong tone to me as a guest. Lunch for the two of us was $40 and change and I left a $10 tip. We didn't have any cocktails or mock tails, we didn't have coffee or dessert either. From what I understand, the owner was near the exit when we left, not even a smile or a thank you for coming in...

Now, I am in the dog house because they want to know when the next time that we are going. I had the chicken club and it was absolutely delicious. A huge piece of chicken with plenty of flavor. My sister had the short rib sandwich and was raving about it once we continued our drive saying she was so glad she had it even though she had short ribs herself for dinner the previous night. The only gripe that we had ( not that we necessarily would have changed anything ) was that we noticed after we ordered that the table next to us got a specials menu and we didn't.
