I have to say what a great experience. The food is amazing. We had the prize fixe menu what a great idea you pick the entrée of your choice salad , dessert and Grazing Board included. The Grazing Board was a nice little surprise . I had the rack of lamb it came with 6 chops perfectly cooked and seasoned I also had the wedge salad it was good but just wish the tomatoes and bacon could have been cut up smaller for dessert I ordered the coconut custard bar that wasn't my favorite. It had very little custard, and it was quite hard to chew. My husband had the Veal chop it was outstanding with a lot of flavor cooked perfectly he asked to substitute the mashed potatoes for roasted vegetables, which wasn't a problem!! He had the flourless chocolate cake it was delicious that was a big hit wow . Service was on top of everything and friendly. Ambiance was quiet dining also casual. Great place for a date night. I am looking forward to going back .

I chose this place for an intimate setting to celebrate a milestone stone birthday with my best friends. It was cozy and warm, with a darker ambiance. Our server was phenomenal. She greeted us and gave us time to get settled and from beginning to end was very attentive and friendly. Nataz is a 4 course adventure in eating dining experience. We started with a grazing board for the table which included bread, butter, cheese slices, olives, strawberries and raspberries with a goat cheese ball covered in nuts and honey. We also started off with the crab cake and were kind of bummed they only had one left, but was happy because when we each took a bite, it was delicious. They also redeemed themselves by coming over with a complimentary meatball appetizer that had happy birthday written on the plate! It was so cute and yummy. Unfortunately while ordering our meals they also ran out of a few dishes, one being the heavenly lobster dish I specifically came for. But did have some extra fish options that were specials that were not listed on the menu. I ordered the cod served over a linguini clam sauce and it was good and a very light meal which I enjoyed after stuffing my face with bread. I also took a bite of everyone's dishes and overall it was a great eating adventure for me! Everything was great and we were so full that I had to take home the included dessert which was a lemon mascarpone. I ate it for breakfast and it was one of the best breakfasts I've had!! I will definitely be back because I need to try the lobster dish and get that mascarpone again!

I was invited to the Southington locale to attend my granddaughter's birthday dinner. I arrived a little ahead of the 6PM appointed hour and was seated immediately. The lead Waiter was very accommodating, explaining their service model, asking about any food allergies and serving my Hendricks & Tonic with double lime. When the remaining party members arrived, we were immediately served a "Grazing Board" containing cheeses, olives, bread & flavored butter. After taking our order choices, my Nataz Signature Salad appeared and others got the Nataz Wedge ...both received positive comments from our crowd. My entry choice was the Nataz Original Zuppa Fra Diavolo and it was HUGE & tasty, The Birthday Girl got the Delmonico Steak and was VERY pleased with her choice. The third course was a choice of desserts of which most of us got "to go", given the generous servings that preceded it. Overall, I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and can't wait to go back!

You will not be disappointed! Great value! The bread was waiting on table when we got seated, they quickly brought out charcuterie board and apparently since it was a slow and just after opening up the chef had time and to make something extra for us, garlic cheese bread with olive tapenade. Definitely a delicious addition. Then you get to choose one of two salads. I did signature it was yummy! I ordered filet perfectly cooked as I ordered it and flavorful and my mom got rack of lamb, no complaints. Service was quick, though it was a Thursday at 6p when we went. Everyone was friendly! I love the idea of the pre-fixe menu! Did I mention it includes dessert! This location isn't very big so be sure to make reservations.

Amazing spot! We had the salmon, some steaks, & a nice bottle of wine. Thank you Kareem for the great service! He explained everything so well & had some great recommendations.

Nataz in Southington is a true gem! We had my company's holiday party here mid-week during the day before they opened for regular dinner service and it was AMAZING! The setup was great for our group and the restaurant was decorated beautifully. We had two dedicated waitresses, Sara and Heather, who went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a drink upon sitting down and that everyone got their food in a timely manner. Both Sara and Heather were very polite and accommodating, even weaving in and out of our employees and Santa participating in a gift exchange. Special thank you to Chuck for setting everything up for us! The food was exceptional! From the grazing boards to the salads to the entrees and dessert, everything was flavorful and cooked/presented perfectly. If you are looking for a great local place with really good food, check out Nataz for your next event or dinner out with family/friends. You definitely will not be disappointed!

What an honor to see Chef Rick in Southington. After over 15 years of dining at many of his locations I'm glad Southington is one of them. Never had a questionable dinner. Service/ food/ ambiance is one of the best in the state.

Drinks were too sweet, food was overall not bad. The salmon did not taste fresh at all, but the snapper was pure perfection. Espresso was so bitter I could not stomach it, it tasted burnt. Dessert was wonderful. Overall, some hits and misses but infinitely better quality than anything else center st has to offer. The interior was much nicer than I had anticipated, and service was top notch. Our server truly was the sweetest and apologized about the salmon, was incredibly attentive to our needs so I'll bump my rating a bit for that.

Food is always good, new space is really nice. Same chef and menu as the former location but with a full bar. The seafood and beef are always solid choices and the brazing pot is consistently good.

It was also well decorated for the Fall Season. There were a few employees that were visible at times, but they weren't organized in such a way to provide a typical lunch experience. The person who was working the bar also served as hostess and my server in the main eating area. So I waited a minute or so at the host stand to be greeted while she finished a drink. There was also hammering in the kitchen area for a decent part of my lunch. My server was very nice though and hustled to try to meet everyone's needs. I believe Ideal Tavern recently won the Southington Wing Fest. So I wanted to try the wings. I asked my server what the most popular wing flavors are and she didn't have an answer. I ordered the Sweet Chili Gorgonzola because it looked like the most interesting option. I also ordered an Ideal BLT Burger. The wings and burger were brought together, which I didn't ask for. That obviously defeats the purpose of ordering an app. The wings were meaty and had great texture. They were more glazed than sauced. I thought the Gorgonzola component would be more of a sauce but there were actual pieces of Gorgonzola cheese. The Gorgonzola was good quality. The burger was big and cooked to my requested medium rare. I didn't note any seasoning. The burger came with cheddar, which isn't the best melting cheese. You could tell they tried to melt the cheese, but the cheese broke off rather than stretched when I pulled at the side. The bacon seemed like it was probably high quality, possibly uncured bacon. The texture of it wasn't great for a burger. It was hard in parts and too difficult to chew. I also wish the LT part of the BLT had a bit more focus. I didn't think the Truffle Aioli worked for a BLT either. The fries had kind of a unique wide swoop cut style. I think Ideal Tavern could pay a bit more attention to the details of what makes a good customer experience. They have some good things to work with though. 3.75

Fork and Fire has an upscale Gastropub sort of vibe and offers an eclectic menu. My family and I visited on a Sunday around lunch time. Fork and Fire only offered their Brunch Menu at the time, which I didn't know. I was in more of a lunch mood, but they let me order the Black and Burger off the later menu, which was very nice. Not all cheeseburgers feature melty slices. The Black and Blue Burger featured Crumbled Blue Cheese, Pickled Red Onions, Smoked Bacon and Chipotle Aioli, on Toasted Brioche. The burger was huge and well cooked. So juicy it dripped. A flavor bomb. I also ordered the famous Kitchen Sink wings for the table, along with a side of Blue Cheese AND Ranch. The wings were super juicy. Top Tier Juicy. But the outer texture was still appropriately crisp. The sauce was sweet and savory, with a little bit of heat. Great wings. And the side sauces were terrific too. Service was very good. The atmosphere was terrific. Everyone enjoyed their orders. 4.5 Stars

Upon arriving we'd realized we'd eaten at this restaurant before (when it was in a different location) and eaten in this building before (when it was a different business). My wife and I split a wagyu burger and The Craft Pie. The burger we believe we got someone else's, it was missing the espresso aioli and prosciutto jam. A friend of mine and I went to Craft Kitchen for lunch on this Thursday…read more There was plenty of parking to the right of the restaurant, and the side entrance was right there. As I walked through the front doors, I noticed kegs alongside on the floor. This was kind of a turn off, kind of reminds me of a dive bar. So my mentality kicked in that we were going into a dive bar serving food. I kinda get the sketchy feeling. Once we were seated, and menus placed, we were served iced water A few minutes later, the server came back and took our order. My friend ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and some string french fries. I ordered the 1/2 smoked chicken, which came with two sides. I chose the rattlesnake beans and the creamy macaroni and cheese. Also include included was cornbread I originally wanted the street corn, as a side, but it was not available. Our lunches came quick, and my friend only ate half the french fries and cheeseburger, as she wasn't really turned on by them. The smoked chicken was fairly dry, with a very interesting smoked flavor to it that I can't put my finger on. I eat about 1/3 of it. Left the rest on the plate. The creamy macaroni and cheese was out of bounds top-notch. I could've eaten this all day. The rattlesnake rice and beans were just OK. The rice was cooked pretty good, and was seasoned well. The beans had a weird taste. Now thinking of this side dish, I was hoping for raw onions to be on top, but they were nowhere to be found. It'll be nice if there was chopped raw onions to go with this. The cornbread was delicious. I ate about half of it. It was a generous slice. While the server was fairly attentive, as she only checked in to fill the water glasses and ask how lunch was. She didn't ask us if we wanted a desert or coffee. Being old folks this would've been a great up for us, but it didn't happen. I had to ask for the check. I'm not sure if I would come back. I think this might be a one and done. The vibe just didn't hit it for me. Restrooms were clean. The restaurant was clean; the silverware clean. I don't know. It just was like a funky type layout and those beer kegs kinda sent the wrong tone to me as a guest. Lunch for the two of us was $40 and change and I left a $10 tip. We didn't have any cocktails or mock tails, we didn't have coffee or dessert either. From what I understand, the owner was near the exit when we left, not even a smile or a thank you for coming in...

Then came this past Thanksgiving weekend where it required traveling on I-84 from Cape Cod to get to Danbury and my mom, sister and I decided to try you out. Now, I am in the dog house because they want to know when the next time that we are going. I had the chicken club and it was absolutely delicious. A huge piece of chicken with plenty of flavor. My sister had the short rib sandwich and was raving about it once we continued our drive saying she was so glad she had it even though she had short ribs herself for dinner the previous night. I don't know if that's an indictment on her cooking or what, but she loved it. The star however was the cod dinner that mom had. It was one of the flakiest and freshest pieces of fish she had ever had. We got a very late start to our trip, so by the time 2:00 came on the Saturday afternoon came, we practically had the whole place to ourselves. The only gripe that we had ( not that we necessarily would have changed anything ) was that we noticed after we ordered that the table next to us got a specials menu and we didn't. It was nice and quiet as our waitress let us have a quiet late lunch and if we were ever in the area ever again, we would make a b-line back to the restaurant.
