My parents loved this place when it was in Meriden. Your basic Italian restaurant. Def nothing modern about the menu in fact it needs some help. Even my mom mentioned the menu was a bit small. I don't get excited about Chicken Parm or Chicken Marsala. My mom said the salad used to be included - now they charge $10 for a garden salad. To charge for salad is keeping up with the times but leave the garden salad off the menu unless you are charging $5 for a side salad. My $12 arugula salad (bit more upscale) had a nice flavor. Massive amount of avocado on it. I couldn't find much that I was excited about entree wise especially stuff that's gluten friendly/free so I got the penne vodka gluten free and added chicken. Pretty boring dish. My mom loved the chicken Gorgonzola which was on the old menu but she said they used to give u potato and veggies and now you only get veggies. Ambiance ok. Pretty small restaurant compared to the old location so pretty loud in there. We sat on other side of the bar. There's a massive divider in between the tables and the bar which is a bit awkward looking. Good service but I personally wouldn't choose this place again in the future. It's ok.

Good food, nice bar and friendly staff. No reservations for less than 6. This is just to meet the 85 character minimum

Our sports-loving older kids were immediately drawn in by the variety of sports playing on the big screens while the 70s music created a fun, nostalgic vibe that we really enjoyed. Our waitress, Megan was friendly, attentive and handled our group's varied requests with ease. The food didn't disappoint--especially the ribs, which were incredibly tender and literally fell off the bone. Great menu choices for the kids and all came with ice cream and chocolate sauce. One standout was the kid's macaroni and cheese-- it was clearly homemade and not the typical box version you often see on kid's menus at other restaurants. We'll definitely return when we're in the area. Check out their specials. We visited on a Sunday around 5 PM and only realized when the check arrived that kids eat free that day. That was a great bonus.

I had to bring home half the quesadilla because it was full of a lot of meat. My husband raved about his boneless short rib entree and mushroom soup. Our server Jessica C was awesome. Then came this past Thanksgiving weekend where it required traveling on I-84 from Cape Cod to get to Danbury and my mom, sister and I decided to try you out. Now, I am in the dog house because they want to know when the next time that we are going. I had the chicken club and it was absolutely delicious. A huge piece of chicken with plenty of flavor. My sister had the short rib sandwich and was raving about it once we continued our drive saying she was so glad she had it even though she had short ribs herself for dinner the previous night. I don't know if that's an indictment on her cooking or what, but she loved it. The star however was the cod dinner that mom had. It was one of the flakiest and freshest pieces of fish she had ever had. We got a very late start to our trip, so by the time 2:00 came on the Saturday afternoon came, we practically had the whole place to ourselves. The only gripe that we had ( not that we necessarily would have changed anything ) was that we noticed after we ordered that the table next to us got a specials menu and we didn't. It was nice and quiet as our waitress let us have a quiet late lunch and if we were ever in the area ever again, we would make a b-line back to the restaurant.

I loved how inviting the dim environment with all their glowy lights was. I sat at the bar where this sweet bartender Liz helped me select a drink off of their extensive, delicious, looking creative menu. I started off with the cucumber gimlet given I needed something refreshing after running 3 miles. All the drinks were divine. The salad was perfect. I got my dressing on the side as well as their sweet citrus on the side but they know their stuff bc the cider vinegarette couldn't have paired better . I just say, and I feel this is most important other than the patient and menu guidance via Liz, this dirty pickle martini (which is subbed with gin) was the besttt martini I've EVERRRRRR had in my life. They make their own pickle juice here in house to mimic grillos pickles as much as possible. They are spot on, if not even better. I love this place. Everything about it is great, ambiance, staff, vibes, and most importantly their menu and the taste of their items in their menu. DIVINE. I will be back, maybe endlessly whenever I can .
