But we did struggle to get our waitress. Service could use some help as dishes weren't removed from the table until asked. The bread that is provided is soft/flavorful and delicious !!! We got muscles for and appetizer and OmG !! So tender and sauce was so good I couldn't stop dipping the house made bread in it. My mom got the pulpo (octopus) for her lunch with a side of jumbo shrimp. Let me tell you that pulpo was tenderrrrr and one of the best we've ever had !! I had the apple salad with jumbo shrimp! I started with a red Cabernet wine. Bread and a complimentary bell pepper mix tossed in oil and spices was brought to the table. I don't eat anything spicy so I wish they had left it off but my niece enjoyed it and it did not go to waste. We ordered the shrimp bruschetta for an appetizer. Although I expected something different from the description on the menu, we had no complaints, it was delicious and creamy. For our meal, I was so excited to hear they had a cheese wheel that was brought out to the table! It was the highlight of our dining experience! And the pasta was the best part! It was cooked to perfection and the flavor was just right. You get to choose your pasta dish to be tossed in the cheese wheel and we chose the bucatini cacio e Pepe made with a creamy pecorino Romano sauce and crushed black pepper. After our second glass of wine and the carb overload we still saved room to have dessert. We ordered the espresso martini cocktail and one chocolate mousse cake and a cannoli ice cream to share. (A classic margarita with lemon instead of lime, very fresh and refreshing.) Lina was our server and she was incredible. She cut our cake for us and she was just so amazing. She answered all of our questions about the menu and made great recommendations. She even recorded a video of us singing happy birthday to our friend and she was such a delight. Not in the ACTUAL sense that it came from an ACTUAL farm, from an ACTUAL living chicken. This was processed, lab engineered McDonalds processed-nugget 'quality'. From the first bite I could tell this wasn't what I had at least 5 times prior. I ONLY eat poultry and fish/seafood. I have a severe texture issue with meats and haven't consumed mammal meat since 1986! The slightest variation will stand out within the first bites. Needless to say I won't be ordering take out from Bella'gios in the future and we're not sure we will be visiting the restaurant in the near future as well as this has turned us off from the menu now. Posted are some photos of the 1/8 to 3/16 artificial cutlet. The cutlets use to be moist and succulent and the chicken practically melted in your mouth. How small, each meal fit with pasta inside a plastic container, similar to those used for Asian takeout. For any other restaurant that serves Chicken Parmigana, its always been a larger round metal dish with pasta on the side. Typically with 2 pieces of chicken. Putting portion aside as one can argue that we may have been able to find that out before ordering, the (2) entrees were not great. The Chicken Parmigana had one piece of chicken and the chicken was charred, dry, minimal amount of cheese and the both the chicken and pasta itself had a scarce amount of pasta sauce. I found myself having to scrub the side of the dish for any sauce left. The lemon bay chicken was also quite dry and unfortunately the mixture of recip (chicken, pasta and sauce) was quite tasteless. I'm not typically one to leave a 1 or 2 star reviews often, as I'd rather just not go again to the place where I had said experience but between the quality of food, price and portion, this place falls into a bit of an exception for me. Look, I've eaten at many places, if your portions are going to small for the price (and without sides), then the quality needs to EXCEED the excepted regional standard for that dish to justify that reasoning. This experience did not do that, instead we are left with half of take home container of each meal that we will have to toss in trash for Fathers Day.
