I've been wanting to try signatures for quite some time and randomly popped in with a friend. It had a nice atmosphere. I didn't feel underdressed in jeans although others were in business casual attire. It was a little crowded which shows they are doing something right. And it wasn't a play night! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I wanted a virgin mojito but they didn't have mint. She recommended a mocktail instead that I thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered the prixe fixe menu which came with salad, appetizer, entree, and dessert. Let me tell you, this is definitely a steal!!! Large portions and the flavors were amazing. My waitress told me the crowd favorite entrees to help with my indecisiveness. The menu lists some amazing dishes. For my appetizer I ordered the mushroom risotto. I wasn't that fond of the mushroom risotto but it's not their fault. It's a dish I keep trying and I'm coming to realize just isn't my jam. The salad dressing was phenomenal-highly recommended. Im not sure if it was the house dressing because I didn't specifically ask for honey Dijon dressing. My entree was lamb chops that were cooked to perfection. The glaze was out of this world! I think their potatoes may be my favorite potatoes I've had in the past few years. So rich and creamy with tons of flavor. The veggies were a lil lackluster in comparison to the rest of this stellar dish. My friend ordered the shrimp scampi and he enjoyed it. The dessert was amazing. The crispy top layer of the crème brûlée broke wonderfully and tasted PHENOMENAL. The custard bottom was soooo creamy and rich with vanilla flavor, it was a dream come true. The noise level wasn't too much. I don't think I'd bring young children however. I definitely recommend and hope to come in again soon to try the gelato and other entrees.

A friend and I were on our way to a nearby restaurant that was closed. We were greeted by this lovely lady who said why not try their restaurant. We agreed. We were so surprised by the ambiance that was hidden in what is almost a back alley building. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and made sure our first experience was great. We had a pear and French martini that were so good. We also had the calamari which was also great. They had a live singer singing Frank Sinatra. The entire experience was perfect. It's so nice to know this place exists in Waterbury. I will certainly be back

One of my new favorite restaurants! Super impressed by the prix fixe menu offered during the week. Generous portions at a great price, and everything we had was delicious. I especially loved the fried mozzarella, which was super unique and very reminiscent of the local Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast's fried dough. I loved the vibe of the restaurant because it felt like such a classy, old-time Waterbury restaurant that I didn't think existed anymore. We loved our waitress Jessica, who was super friendly and more than happy to tell us about the history of the building when we asked. I'm looking forward to my next dining experience here!

Searching for a restaurant near the Waterbury Palace Theatre before a show and Signatures Restaurant was recommended. We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy and warm atmosphere, pleasant and engaging service from our server, Diane, welcomed cocktails from the bar and GREAT food! The Lamb Lollipops and English Pea & Prosciutto Risotto were well prepared and tasted amazing! How could we resist a cappuccino and creme brulee to finish off our meal?!--We indulged. We'll return to this gem of a find!

I visited signatures on a Thursday evening and ordered from their prix fixe menu. I ordered the calamari and lamb. It was all so good and it's a really good price for a three course meal. Definitely recommended!

We had a wonderful surprise engagement dinner for my aunt and her fiancé here! Diane, the new owner, was beyond accommodating to our group, and guys, the food - SO GOOD. From top to bottom we were impressed - the staff was welcoming as we arrived and quickly served up some delicious drinks (I had a mojito with house grown mint - YUM) as we mingled at the big beautiful bar and waited for the guests of honor to arrive. After being seated I was impressed by the menu selections and definitely the pre fixe menu, great selection and an awesome price - app/salad/entree/dessert for $24! I had the house soup (delish!), eggplant parm (so good!), and the cannoli (Yum!), the portions weren't skimpy and the food was just delicious! I tried my sisters calamari and my husbands handmade ricotta cavatelli (both also on the pre fixe) and they were both amazing. The service was attentive even without being intrusive and there were no issues accommodating a larger group in this smaller setting (including a couple of kiddos thrown in the mix). The staff was knowledgable and added to the fun of the evening! Worth noting - they do have a patio area for outdoor dining! So In review: Setting - check! Service and staff- check! Great food - check, check, check!!! Can't wait to go back!

Everything was very clean. Parking was a bit of a struggle - there was street parking above, below, and across, and a huge lot in the back. Supposedly there's a backdoor from the lower lot - those who tried found it to be locked. The food was delicious - my local burger was cooked medium, and the fries were little circles! They were well cooked but some had much more salt then others

The menu looked pretty good so we started with some apps. Beer cheese- definitely a different twist than I expected but it was great. Very flavorful, really beer forward. The bruschetta was ridiculously amazing!! The cucumber salsa was missing something but ok, needed some acid or heat. My disappointment started when they brought out our meal, (we still had two apps to go, I hate my meal coming out with or before the rest of our apps. I had the hot honey chicken and NE Clam chowder. The chowder was brown and was not what I was looking for, I packaged up to go. It was primarily the brown I assume the roux went farther than it should have or there is something else in it.. The hot honey chicken was ok, the chicken was paper thin , tasted mostly arugula no heat, no sweet... I'd switch out the bread for a roll next time and douse it with hot sauce. The cottage fries are out of this world and I would come back for beverages and those!! My partner had the biria sandwich which was fire, also had a salad which was really good as well. The cookies are really amazing! Actual Dessert- I am struggling with we opted for the Chocolate cake which was literally melting- did not think it was ice cream so not sure why we had a puddle in a box when we got home. I want to try other things, as we had some good and some not so good, so we'll be back and update again after another try.

I would not be able to recommend this restaurant after our one and only experience dining there…read morelast night. My husband and I are in the area for a weekend getaway and wanted to find a nice place for a date night. We chose Vyne after looking at their menu, which appeared elevated and unique. Pros and Cons below but the spark notes are: Nice atmosphere, good service, bad (and expensive) food. Pros: *The atmosphere is nice. Slightly elevated, beautiful decor, very nice bar area, and the outdoor area is a vibe. *Service was good. Our waitress was kind, efficient and helpful. *Our cocktails were great. Delicious, not wildly overpriced, and fresh. Cons and the reason why I could not recommend going to this restaurant: Overall the food was wildly disappointing, especially at this price point. We paid (with tip and 2 cocktails each) $250 for food we couldn't finish it was so poorly cooked and prepared. * Surf & Turf appetizer (24) - interesting and fresh spring flavor but the shrimp (a main component of the dish) was overcooked. * Scallop entree($44)- Scallops were not cooked well. They were very rubbery, chewy and bouncy. I left two on the plate. The flavor profile was also heavily oil. * Side of Mac&Cheese - now, I have NEVER not finished mac&cheese, it's my absolute favorite food and a treat for me to order. This mac&cheese was so bad that we had 2 bites and didn't finish. For a $9.50 side I would expect something interesting. Maybe a baked dish? Or three cheeses? Anything than what we got - which was shell pasta (undercooked) and a cheese sauce (similar to a Velveeta). There was also a strange aftertaste, almost like a spoiled milk. Besides that aftertaste there was absolutely no flavor. * The Filet Mignon ($52) - maybe the most disappointing of all our dishes with a theme of badly cooked and no flavor. Asked for it cooked medium rare and closer to the rare side - it came to us as a solid medium. The steak didn't seem to be seasoned at all. No flavor. The potatoes had no crisp and absolutely no flavor. There was a generic BBQ sauce on the plate. With no salt and pepper on the table (on purpose with the expectation that everything would be flavored perfectly) it made absolutely no sense to finish a dish that we could make better at home. A truly disappointing meal that we couldn't finish, paid $$$$ for and had to stop at fast food on the way home from because we were still so hungry. I don't review often but I needed to because this is an expensive restaurant for what it is, and I want to make sure people know what they're getting into. Maybe we just went on a bad night, but we won't be going back to find out.

Brass Works Brewing Company is a craft brewery that opened in Waterbury, Connecticut in December…read more2015. It was founded by brothers Michael and David Ieronimo and their partners Christopher Urban and Kyle Ondrush. The two brothers started out as homebrewers in their mother's kitchen in the late 1980s. By 2004, David's brother-in-law Christopher and Michael's co-worker Kyle had also come into the fold. The four formed a homebrew club and brewed together out of a garage. The homebrew club evolved into a homebrewing obsession and the next logical step was starting their own brewery. They chose the name "Brass Works" as a reference to "The Brass City": the official nickname of the city of Waterbury. Kyle retired from the brewery in 2021, but the other three partners still continue to share their passion for good beer. I first visited Brass Works in June 2016. I was driving around the state visiting some breweries that were new to me. The interior of the taproom was really nice; lots of neat decorations. During my stay, I ordered a sampler flight of five beers which included: "Wee Windy English Bitter Ale", "Sweaty Sisters Blonde Ale", "Abel Porter", "Uncle Zac's Stout", and "Double Bird IPA". The latter was my favorite of the bunch; great notes of Amarillo hops! I ended up purchasing a growler of that one to bring home. Keep up the good work gentlemen!
