This was a really awesome diner! It's an hour away but we were on an errand and Yelp said it was closest. There were lots of options and we were staring (My 16 hour fast had just ended). I ordered a mushroom, tomato and cheddar omelet with shredded hash browns, a side of sausage patties, and Italian bread toast. I was given my choice or 4-5 different ways to have the hash browns including patties, cubed potatoes, and shredded. The side of sausage was a generous 3 patties; they had links, pork or chicken sausages. My omelet was perfectly cooked, and the shredded hash browns were crispy on the outside and softer on the inside. Truly delicious. My friend Sia had a bowl of cheesy grits, a Spanish omelet with shredded hash browns, rye toast and a side pancake. Please take a peek at how huge her pancake was! She enjoyed every part of her breakfast too. Portions were extremely generous; we both brought home enough for another satisfying meal. The waitress was very nice and the right amount of attentive. Typical diner. Stopped in this morning, ordered a ham & cheese omelet w/ a side of home fries. Meal came out quickly, they are very efficient at the Aurora Diner. Everything was alright, no complaints. Service was stellar, someone kept filling my coffee up, much appreciated. Place is a bit noisy, because it's on the small side and there is a lot of clanking & banging of silverware and dishes. This place is under new management. The family that is running it now (hold on... don't you love that? A family owned business) is making sure that the food is tasty, plentiful, well priced, and that service is top notch. I was very impressed with the waiting staff and the kitchen because they send the food out quickly even though the place was packed to the brim. You only find locals here. This place is a gem! I've been meaning to write this review for a long time but kept forgetting. My husband and I have been going for breakfast weekly for a long time and all the meals we've had were delicious. We're at a point now where we have our favorites and mine is the Belgian waffle with fruit and whipped cream. There is no place we've ever eaten that serves waffles like this. Crisp outside tender inside and the fresh fruit is not to be believed, every kind of fruit you can think of and piled plenty high on top. I'm so obsessed with this waffle I haven't ordered anything else in the longest time. My husband loves the eggs and corned beef hash or Italian sausage. So where do I begin.. Jeanne greeted us as soon as we sat . She took our order patiently and with ease . Came back super quick I didn't even have time to start my massive e bowl of grits which o enjoyed every bit of ' my plate was so huge that I was able to split it with my son and still have a whole plate to take home . I've never been for lunch but come regularly for breakfast. I would agree with a previous review that its typical diner fare. However it is locally owned, the staff is always pleasant, friendly & attentive n did I mention their breakfast always hits the spot? My go to is a steak, egg & cheese wrap! Give them a try.. "Consistently Average" My wife likes going to Aurora for breakfast because it's always consistent. You know you'll get a decent breakfast there. It's not the best, but certainly not the worst. My wife is a creature of habit and loves to get an omelet filled with sausage, tomato, and cheese and served with rye toast and crispy home fries. I had breakfast from the specials menu. When I went there with my 1 year old son and girlfriend We were greeted and we sat down, my 1 year old son is in his stroller as we sat and began to order. When we were done ordering and our food came we noticed that our son was a tad bit fidgety in the stroller so we put him in the high that we requested. The high chair was really dirty so my girlfriend cleaned it with some alcohol wipes she had in her bag. I ordered $90 of food for my family the kids loved the french toast although upset it didn't come with bacon . I didn't care much for my meal i had Spanish omelette and home fries. The home fries tasted horrible no flavor at all. The chicken soup wasn't in the bag so we had to go back for it smh but wish we would've left it there it was so salty I couldn't even eat it what a waste of money. Its not what it useto be under the old management pair of guys that ran it. Ate here daily under them. Not so much now. Food is hit or miss depending on whos cooking. Silver ware is usually dirty have to check whenever its given to you. For lunches Soups are always the same 2 never change If you order pasta it will be undercooked. Grilled items will be seasoned to death. They dont understand what well done french or homefries are. Breakfast If you order coffee or tea you have to reminde some waitstaff for a spoon. If you want extra milk or cream have to ask a for it cause they only give 2/3 creamers or a splash of milk. Weight staff changes frequently so you never know if the server that actually got your order right will be there the next visit. read more

The silverware is filthy with food residue no matter what setup they give you. The tables are filthy. The lights were mostly off in the daytime. They didn't give me a spoon for my coffee, and I had to ask for more cream. They give me minimum packs of cream and 2 packs of sugar. The food was good, but my toast was under toasted. Entering a packed parking lot I expected this place to be full for seating , but I was pleasantly surprised. They have allot of tables & booths and good lighting . Good date night spot considering it is open 24 hours. The menu is basic diner food you would look for having . Place is very clean and the waitresses greet you kindly when you enter . Noticing alot of regulars here as they greet some by name . Location is right next to the highway and factories all around here . For us we wanted breakfast at 11am . I had the bacon and eggs with home fries and toast . Hubby had poached eggs with corn beef hash. Waiting only a mere 5 minutes breakfast was served. Appearance wise the food looked really good . My home fries were a little on the larger side which was ok ,they just needed to cook longer . Bacon was thick and cooked well. Hubby loved his hash and he complains about his hash alot at other diners . His poached eggs were perfectly made he says. I have been here many times for lunch and breakfast. Breakfast is good, reasonably priced, and consists of your usual diner fare. For lunch they have burgers, clubs, wraps, soups and pasta dishes. They also have a lunch specials menu for under $7. If you get a pasta dish they will serve you delicious warm bread. Wow! Nice to have such an amazing diner within 10 miles or so. Thank you for always being happy & accommodating w/no matter I ordered, it was so delicious!!! I started w/an fresh mushroom, onion, spinach & American ch. omelets w/perfect bacon. So yummy! Then, ordered this huge mouthwatering shrimp salad w/ spinach salad, had avocado, fresh tomatoes & almonds, etc. in it w/fresh dressing of your choice. We were hungry so we were sharing a bunch of stuff. Next, we even splurged on Banana nut & fresh blueberry pancakes, too! Mike made them perfect! I can't say enough good things!!!! This is my first time back there under the new ownership. I have been looking for good eggs Benedict for a very long time. They were not good... They were incredible! They were cooked perfectly, the hollandaise sauce had perfect flavor. I don't normally order the potatoes, But I figured I'd give it a chance seeing there are new owners.
