Great wings and fun neighborhood bar where it seems like all locals stop in for a beer. It's a little dark inside so I prefer sitting by the windows. Service was fast and friendly. They have a mix of tables god for smaller groups of maybe 6. Small place though so it would fill up quick for a big game. Some of the TVs were a bit run down and could use replacement. We've only had take-out from Ordinary Joe's, but we love it! We usually stick to wings and pot stickers because they travel well. They are always very tasty! The boneless wings are moist and delicious, and they always give you enough celery and dressing, unlike other places. Love the variety of sauces too! Our orders are usually ready within 20 minutes, which is exactly how long it takes us to get there from our house. Highly recommend. read more

Ordinary Joe's is a small neighborhood sports bars that CT's Wing Addicts placed on their CT Wing Trail for the area. I recently visited from 35 minutes away on a football Sunday because I'm trying to hit as many of the Wing Trail spots as I can. OJ's atmosphere is appropriate for a small sports bar.I arrived around opening, and predictably they were not crowded yet. By the time I left, most of the tables were taken. The crowd seemed like mostly regulars who loved their bar. The bartender who helped me was friendly and she called certain customers by name. I ordered 6 Teriyaki Wasabi wings, 6 Buffalo Cheddar wings and a Counterweight beer that wasn't Headway. The wings were meaty and had good inner and outer texture. I don't normally order teriyaki wings, but the Wasabi element intrigued me. The primary sauce was a very good teriyaki and the wasabi came in the form of a saucy squiggle. Wow. I was really impressed by this combination. The flavors played very well together. There was just the right amount of smooth wasabi flavor, and it countered the sweetness of the teriyaki in a great way. I would put this in a food category I like to call, "If you think you'd like it, I think you'll love it." The flavors are really strong. So if you don't think you'll like it, I would trust your instinct. I didn't know what the Buffalo Cheddar would be, but I liked the idea of trying a familiar Buffalo flavor with a surprising element like Cheddar. The wings were sauced in a good Buffalo sauce, but not one that stands out relative to my fav CT Buffalo sauces. The cheddar was almost like a squeezable cheddar paste. Like the Wasabi, the cheddar was squiggled across the wings and the lines were particularly strong. Great presentation. I probably wouldn't order this exact flavor again, but it was good. Especially with the very good, thick blue cheese dip. The beer draft list was appropriate for a small neighborhood bar, but I think a broader CT craft beer list would help take Ordinary Joe's up another level. But they certainly know their crowd better than I do. I came away impressed with OJ's wing and neighborhood bar game. Definitely worth a trip if you're a wing fan. 4.5 Stars read more

Friendly crowd, I had the burger and fries very good. Stayed for a couple of beers and lunch I enjoyed it.

I can be a wing snob, so when I say these are high quality wings, I mean it. The crisp on the outside is greatly complemented with a juicy inside. Hot sauce was a classic take on a buffalo sauce and I'm sure it is a favorite. They have plenty other flavors to try; I'll be back to try more. It is a smaller town feel type bar with lots of friendly people to go along with the attentive staff. Drinks are more than reasonable, great place to watch a game. read more

Stopped in the day before thanksgiving and they were pretty busy. We were greeted once we sat down and was served fast. Started with the poutine (sorry no picture) and I devoured it in record time. Gravy on every fry and plenty of cheese curds. The fries did not get soggy by the end of the dish. There were a lot of wing options but I decided on the roasted garlic parm. This is where I was a little let down, the wings weren't coated in the sauce but just topped in them leaving not a lot to soak up. I was left with sauce on one side then a fried chicken wing on the other. The chicken wings were meaty and crunchy. However, there were so many wings I'll be back to try more. read more

I give OJoes five stars just for the chili. They make great wings too but the chili is just wow. I've tried so many places all over CT to find my favorite chili and this place is number one for sure. They make wraps also and they're pretty good too but back to the chili because that's clearly the star of the show. The best part is they used to offer one size of chili and I used to order two constantly, but who really wants that many tortilla chips? Are you kidding me?! We were told over and over again to go to O Joe's for their wings. WOW are we glad we listened! Not only is this place a national treasure, its small local vibe is so inviting and the wings are some of the very best in the whole state! And we should know! Not only are they beautiful to look at (LOL) they have so many unique flavors that are ALL 5-star! We had Buffalo, New Zealand, Sweet Hot Chili, Wasabi Drizzle, Garlic Parm, Headway Sweet Heat, Carolina Tang, and Dry Rub Buffalo Ranch. It would be hard to go back have to choose! I've been here several times and had pretty good food. The wings are well known in the area as being some of the better wings around. The place has a great, local atmosphere. I will comment on the food I just got: The wings we got were chewy, and dry. Seasonings were good. The burger with tater tots was great. I got nacho cheese and onions. I wouldn't do nacho cheese again on a burger but that was my call. The poutine, left a lot to be desired. The fries were unseasoned. There was no cheese curds on them. It was possibly melted cheese curds but there was barely any on there and had no flavor. The gravy was possibly a mushroom gravy. Usually poutine is a chicken or beef gravy. I still give them 4 stars because today's visit was the only bad experience I have ever had here. Every restaurant has an off night, I get that so my review is more based off my previous experience here, not today's experience. read more

We are trying different places that supposedly have the "best" wings in CT. The "experts" on Facebook swore these were it and they were 100% right! We tried Carolina Tang, Sweet Chili, Raspberry Chipotle and General Tso's. My husband argued that he hates raspberries, but I ordered anyway. These turned out to be his favorites! My favorite was the Carolina Tang. We didn't know about "chicken crisps" before going here. These are a MUST HAVE! I suggest the buffalo garlic. You will not be disappointed! read more

In celebrating my son's birthday, we followed family to have, what they considered, the best wings ever! They weren't lying. Of course, we didn't limit ourselves to just wings and honestly can say there wasn't anything we didn't like... ok, love. Wings flavors are endless but with 36, we had a great variety: Garlic Buffalo, Brown Sugar Bourbon (with a Maple syrup dipping sauce!), Smoked Butter BBQ, Lemon Pepper, and a couple others I can't recall. None disappointed, well seasoned & fried crisp. Other apps we shared, Nach Joe's with chicken chilli and Pork Potstickers with, crazy good ginger dipping sauce, no one had anything bad to say about. (Or say anything at all, mouths were full!) I stopped with the app but family enjoyed their hotdog, burger, fries & tots. For a small place, they have a full menu offering even more, salads, wraps, sandwiches, seafood platters, and more specialties. There may be a wait to park the car or the tush but we'll be back! Wings. And beer. And more wings. This place rocks for wings and it's the type of small little grill and pub that makes venturing out for food enjoyable. They have 45+ different kinds of sauces for their wings and the flavors put Hooters and Buffalo Wild Wings to shame. This place should be franchised. The service is good but being that it's packed and a bar, it isn't like dining at a 5 star restaurant. The atmosphere here is friendly and fun with several TVs, a friendly bartender and plenty to drink and eat. This is one of my favorite wing stops in the country, hands down. Enjoy! read more

Me & my gf were looking for some wings in the area and got these delivered. While reading the menu, noticed a ton of different flavors so already were impressed. We got the honey chipotle, buffalo garlic, and smoked butter bbq dry rub and OMG. All flavors were amazinggg! My favorite was the dry rub and I rarely order dry rub! I'm not sure how these wings are world famous/legendary because they were less than stellar. I grabbed wings on my way home from Watertown one day and they barely had any meat on them. I ordered them as Garlic Buffalo and wouldn't even finish the six wings I had ordered. I wonder if there's a difference between eating the wings there or taking home.
