Everything was very clean. Parking was a bit of a struggle - there was street parking above, below, and across, and a huge lot in the back. They were well cooked but some had much more salt then others

The menu looked pretty good so we started with some apps. Beer cheese- definitely a different twist than I expected but it was great. Very flavorful, really beer forward. The bruschetta was ridiculously amazing!! The cucumber salsa was missing something but ok, needed some acid or heat. My disappointment started when they brought out our meal, (we still had two apps to go, I hate my meal coming out with or before the rest of our apps. I had the hot honey chicken and NE Clam chowder. The chowder was brown and was not what I was looking for, I packaged up to go. It was primarily the brown I assume the roux went farther than it should have or there is something else in it.. The hot honey chicken was ok, the chicken was paper thin , tasted mostly arugula no heat, no sweet... I'd switch out the bread for a roll next time and douse it with hot sauce. The cottage fries are out of this world and I would come back for beverages and those!! My partner had the biria sandwich which was fire, also had a salad which was really good as well. The cookies are really amazing! Actual Dessert- I am struggling with we opted for the Chocolate cake which was literally melting- did not think it was ice cream so not sure why we had a puddle in a box when we got home. I want to try other things, as we had some good and some not so good, so we'll be back and update again after another try.

Really top notch. Look and feel of the holiday decorated (but not over the top) dining area made a dreary and cold night disappear. My friend and I split a calamari with hot peppers and Gorgonzola to start. Maybe the best I've ever had (although the marinara served with it is meh/bland...so I just stick to lemon). I am already planning on when I can feasibly get back there to order again. He then ordered the veggie panini with a side salad both of which looked like a work of art. I ordered the cavatelli with sausage and broccoli rabe. My favorite combo. It was out of this world. Perfect cook on the pasta and rabe. It was warm and spicy and savory all at once. A must try. Next visit I'm going to be torn on pizza or pasta. Maybe I'll get both - with calamari as a staple all-time order. Go There Now Note: call for a reservation on Fri/Sat nights.

I ordered their Fagoli Soup as a starter and it was more of tomato soup and didn't really taste like Fagoli at all, but it was still decent and the portions are pretty big (but it was $8). For my main, my friend and I split the Bolognese and The Hanger Steak. The bolognese had a nice flavor but the gnocchi was a little off and the hanger steak was delicious! And their truffle fries were a little strong but they were really good. For dessert, we got the nutella pie and that was damn good! service was relatively quick as well

A new spot in the Watertown night scene, several friends suggested it would be the kind of place I…read morewould enjoy, considering my jazz background. I found myself with a hole in my social calendar one Thursday night the second week they were open, and decided to see what the buzz was all about. Their website and facebook page suggested to "dress to impress", so I dug out one of my bespoke Italian suits and found the perfect silk tie to match (lots of orange, because it was nearly Halloween) and hopped in the car to arrive early enough for the first show (they have two shows per night, 7pm and 9pm, both roughly 90 minutes). Picturing a bar-full of women in swanky gowns and men attired similarly to me, I was disappointed in finding out that substituting heels for sneakers with jeans was the norm for women, and throwing on a blazer over jeans was the standard for men. This is more a reflection of the area, than the business, and there were some couples who took this suggestion seriously, with some people dressed to the nines. The inside is gorgeous, with the lounge area filled with comfortable-looking seating areas, and a couple of tables for diners (not a lot of those, however). Paintings of legendary singers lined the walls. The bar area is sparsely decorated, and a bit too starkly lit for my taste, picturing the smoky jazz joints of my misspent youth. Lots of stools, and a beautiful stone bar top completed the look. I found a seat at the bar, and ordered a martini. No Stolichnaya available (except for raspberry) so I settled for Grey Goose instead. It was perfectly mixed, and I awaited for the piano show to begin. As they were new and starting to fill their entertainment ranks, that night they had a pianist who was auditioning. He was acceptable, with a decent voice, but lacked a lot of the spark of other performers I've seen. I have to go back another night to hear some of their other performers they have lined up. There's a menu of small plates that will fit nicely with cocktails, which is the main attraction there, with a list of seasonal offerings. Since I had already eaten, I didn't order any food, but what I saw presented to others looked good. Something for my next trip. All in all, this is someplace I will probably frequent, since it's close by, and in time, I'm sure the concept will catch on and become very popular. I'd suggest giving 88Keys a try for a special date night, or someplace to go if you're looking for a different vibe than the other entertainment venues in the area.

Stavrianos is the founder and CEO of CoreBev: a Waterbury-based alcohol manufacturing company founded in 2012. It is dedicated to bringing high quality and unique spirits and beverages to the market. Zahariadis founded the Cocktail Chemist Bev Company which was acquired by CoreBev in late 2021. He has since become the COO of CoreBev. In early 2024, CoreBev acquired Waterbury-based Continuum Distilling which originally opened in 2020. Continuum's original founder Brandon Collins, a chemist by trade, remained on as Connecticut Distilling's head distiller. The new enterprise's mission is a commitment to crafting high-quality, innovative, and sustainable spirits that honor Connecticut's rich history and vibrant community. I recently stopped at Connecticut Distilling during their Grand Opening week. Their tasting lounge is cozy, inviting, and comes with a staff of trained mixologists. Most of CDC's products are distilled using beer from locally Connecticut craft breweries. Attendees were treated to samples of some of their products which included a blueberry-flavored rum, a bourbon whiskey, an IPA-based spirit, a roasted malt beer-based whiskey, and a vodka. Everything was very smooth. We were also treated to a delicious spread of deli sandwiches and charcuterie as well as cocktails crafted with CDC spirts. Some of the cocktails offered included a "Welcome Cocktail" (Apple Cinnamon Drops, apple cider, black tea, citrus, bitters blend), a "Smoked Maple Manhattan" (Fort Hill Bourbon, smoked vermouth, Maplewood Farm maple syrup, bitters), and a "Peach Pecan Old Fashioned" (Charred, honey pecan, peach bitters). I had a wonderful time at the event and wish the owners much success. I look forward to seeing CDC spirits in my local package stores!

The inside is large ! They accept reservations which is great. The restaurant is lit nicely and dining room is clean. In this past visit the waitress did not introduce herself, ask if we need help on the menu or welcome us to the restaurant. I would say the waitress was the only disappointment that night, especially getting our check before asking if we wanted anything else. Moving onto the food- claps for the chef !!! The appetizer of crispy Brussels sprouts was the best choice! Perfectly crisp but not burnt. Hot honey, soft/mild goat cheese, crispy bacon.. you just can't stop eating it. I went with the lemon shrimp pasta and it did not disappoint!! Just enough cream with a hint of lemon that wasn't overpowering. The shrimp were large and succulent. Plus the fresh pasta-ahhh so good I was saying mhmmm every bite!! My friend got the sweet heat pizza on a cauliflower crust. She enjoyed it but criticized that the crust was not evenly crunchy and there was a lot of flop. The spice level was on point though. We both had cheesecakes which were good. Not the best I had but good to finish with a nice dessert. The drinks were worth every penny!! I gave it 4 stars because of the service that night between dirty dishes not being removed from our table, to not being checked upon to finally getting a check without being asked if we want anything else. Had service gone better I would definitely give them 5 stars. The food really is high quality!
