Hands down, without a doubt, the BEST Italian food I've had outside of Italy itself in my thirty years on this planet. If you're looking for somewhere to eat right now, do not waste your time going through this, stop reading and go. Seriously stop reading, you will find out how good this place is when you're there. We walked in and were welcomed immediately. It wasn't too busy, the lighting was low and it was relatively quiet. Our waiter took our drink orders and had them to us in a timely manner. I opted to try the French onion soup which was delicious. They brought out fresh bread which was clearly baked very recently and was amazing. I'm not a big fan of clams in general but I decided to try the linguine with clam sauce and wow am I glad I did. Sauce tasted homemade, clams were fresh and cooked well, everything was seasoned perfectly, linguine was not too soft but not super al dente. We went with the cheesecake for dessert and it was to die for, super light and fluffy. I've been to many Italian places, and lived in Italy for 6 months and I can confidently say this was the best Italian food I've had in America. This place is tucked away and looks questionable from the outside, but if you happen to stumble upon it, you'd be a fool not to try it!

This was one of the most incredible dining experiences that I've had in a really long time. I will honestly never forget or stop raving about how delicious literally every single morsel of food was!! Our party of two was seated immediately. Choosing what to order was so tricky because everything sounded amazing! I ended up going with the Chicken Diego which had eggplant, prosciutto, Marsala, potatoes, and veggies. It comes with soup or salad. I chose salad and all the dressing options were house-made. All I can say is wow. The whole time my husband and I were eating, we could not stop saying "wow" because we were truly blown away with how phenomenal the food was. I was glad to see that the vibe is casual enough that we didn't feel uncomfortable coming straight from the pool. They have tables or seats at the bar. We had to stop ourselves from getting too full so we could leave room for dessert because I just knew it would end up being delicious too. They had a NY cheesecake which was served with strawberries and whipped cream, and to no surprise at all it was as amazing as the rest of our meal was. I cannot say enough about how incredible this restaurant is. Anyone who is even remotely close to the area needs to come try it out!!

The ambience in this restaurant is always friendly, inviting and quiet. Corey one of the bartenders is always efficient and friendly. My Nana comes here every two weeks and always states how satisfied she is with the service. Of course I come with her when I visit. This time I got the chicken marsala with gluten-free pasta and it was top tier so delicious will be ordering again, I typically get the shrimp fra Diavolo that is something you must try! I have tried their fried mozzarella and this was a nice app to start with. Their coffee was good, I ordered it black with honey syrup.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. My wife and I were greeted as soon as we walked in and escorted to our table where we struggled with what to order as everything sounded so great. I went with the Cavatelli Bolognese, which was INCREDIBLE, and my wife wanted old reliable aka Chicken Parm. Both delivered, and my specialty French Toast Espresso Martini was the sweet touch to complement the flavor of my entree. 10 out of 10. We cannot wait to come back!

I have eaten here dozens of times and have NEVER been disappointed with any of the food. The soup, no matter which one, is always homemade and really full of flavor. I like to start with soup. Then add mussels. And then finish off with the best rice pudding I've had (second only to Moms), along with an espresso. Not a big restaurant which makes it cozy and quiet. Staff is always super whether it's a server or bartender, etc. I highly recommend this restaurant. Easy to find with plenty of parking. And if you like to have a drink to unwind after a long workweek, they have a small bar area that is usually packed on Fri night.

I can't believe I hadn't heard of Zuppa until recently - this is totally a hidden gem and now one of my new favorite local Italian restaurants! Everything was so flavorful, even the olive oil with fresh Italian bread! You can tell everything is made from scratch, and even the drinks were fantastic. The calamari was crispy and served with such a good marinara sauce that I could've drank honestly, and the meatballs were fantastic. Delicious French onion soup and Caesar salad, and the chicken Milanese was piled with arugula and veggies. The pork chop was super tender and the homemade cheesecake for dessert was a great way to end the meal. I can't wait to visit again already! The food came out very quickly, and the servers was attentive. It was a classic dining room and everything was clean.

SIMPLY #AMAZING , can we do 5 stars times 2 ?? After driving 2 hours from New York , this place was simply amazing , got seated at the bar and the bartender Corey was simply the perfect Bartender, host and waiter . Absolutely great !!! The beer : the coldest beer I ever had ( the way it should be ) The food : we had chicken Marsala and pork chops in apple sauce with vegetables / Potatoes.. The food was so good I almost forgot to take pictures . If you are ever in the Wolcott CT area , make sure to visit this place ... hands down a great place !!!!

Just functional. I was there on an NFL Sunday. There were lots of regulars. There was good interaction with the staff. I didn't catch her name, but the woman who was the only person working the bar and waiting on the tables was amazing. She was super friendly to everyone. She hustled to meet everyone's needs. It wouldn't surprise me if she is an owner too. It's hard to find people, who aren't owners, who are that committed. I asked for a wing flavor recommendation and she said "Montreal Honey" first. I ordered 6. The wings are part-baked and then finished in a fryer. Good inner and outer texture. The Montreal Seasoning was right on. The Honey didn't have much of a presence either visually or flavor-wise. More was needed to balance the salt from the Montreal Seasoning and to justify the Honey in the name. I tried both the Blue Cheese and the Ranch. I'd recommend the Blue Cheese. I'll definitely return to try more wing flavors. I also ordered a crock of chili, which was full of ground beef and topped with melted cheddar and chopped red onions. The chili was solid. I'd probably try something else before I ordered it again though. I'm a fan of Hideaway and I'll be back. 4.25 Stars
