We went for a lunch on a Thurseday, I can imagine a Friday and Saturday might be tough to park but there is public parking easily walkable. We were seated quickly and the ambiance and decor are fun and inviting. Their bread is supet good, tasty chewy hot and house baked. The oil they gave with it had onion, peppers, and garlic along with the usual suspects in dupping oil. That oil was kind of a standout, (pro tip: add some parmesan cheese. Our meals came quickly and we're nice and hot . The baked ziti was one of the best I have ever had, usually it gets kind of dried out with all the ricotta and the ziti soaks up all the moisture. This was super tasty with all the extras they put in it (sausage, eggplant, e.tc.) though it was kind of greasy as a result but I loved it. We also got the muscles with a white sauce and linguine. It was very good, but some of the muscles were kind of sandy (which does happen with clams and muscles a.k.a. forgivable). Such a beautiful restaurant. Gina was our server and she was fantastic! She answered all of our questions and saved me from ordering a drink I most likely would not have enjoyed. She gently steered me in the right direction for my taste. I ordered the cranberry and orange juice spritzer which was delicious. I also ordered one of their specials which was the red snapper. Everything on my plate was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband ordered the Chicken Siciliano. I don't have pictures because he was too impatient to wait and dug right into his dish which looked absolutely decadent. We were both very pleased with our entrées. We shared a piece of their flourless chocolate cake. I can't stop thinking about it and wish I had ordered one to go. Vespucci Restaurant in Cheshire is the perfect spot for a family dinner, date night, or eating out with your friends. They have a lot to choose from and as you can see they have gluten free options that will not disappoint. There are three different parking lots you can choose to park... plenty of spots. I made a reservation for a Friday at 6pm. Tip: this restaurant does get busy however, you can go to their website and make a reservation pretty easily and request a booth or table. Easy to reserve and we arrived at the restaurant for 6pm. Parking lot is small however, there are plenty of available spots as it sits on the corner of a bustling strip mall in downtown Cheshire. We were immediately greeted and sat in a corner booth at the very end of the restaurant, parallel to a very well-stocked bar, the last booth before another room that was quite a large dining room with plenty of tables. By the time we sat and ordered drinks, the entire front half of the restaurant was filled and food was coming out quickly. Our server who also doubled as the bartender, Amanda, was extremely nice and prompt. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered the whipped ricotta garlic bread. It was divine. I could have just ordered this bread and a small salad and would have been completely happy, the food was that good. We also had some nice crusty bread and dipping oil brought to the table for our picky 6 year old and he loved that. My husband ordered the veal parm, I ordered the Seafood Alfredo and my son got the chicken tenders and fries. We waited about 15 minutes from the time we ordered our food to when it was brought out, not any long waits which I anticipated for a busy Friday night. The meals came with a soup, side salad or you could upgrade for a Caesar and both my husband and I ordered the Caesar. It did NOT disappoint. If you love a truly authentic Caesar that is made with anchovies, you've got to order this salad. The bowls were cold, the lettuce was crisp and fresh, the dressing was SO yummy and the cheese/crouton ratio was perfect. It was a large portion for a small salad and worth the extra $2. My husband liked his veal parm. He's used to homemade pasta sauce growing up Italian and he said the sauce was solid. He did note that it was on the slightly more "acidic" side - it's more of a chunky, plum pasta sauce however, I happen to love that type of sauce. It holds onto hearty Italian dishes nicely and really sticks to all kinds of pasta. He ate his entire meal. My son loved his chicken tenders and fries - the breading was nice and crispy, the fries were done really well and all of it had a nice crunch. My Seafood Alfredo was the ABSOLUTE best I have ever had in my life. The sauce was dreamy. There's no other way to say it. I was worried that the sauce would be a little heavy as sometimes Alfredo sauce can be but this was a thinner cream sauce and really let the seafood come through. The seafood in the pasta was over the top epic. Huge pieces of lobster, shrimp, scallops...the seafood was so fresh and delicious, cooked perfectly. For $32.95, it was a steal! I even commented to my husband that this is the type of seafood entree you could order at a restaurant on the water, on vacation, that you'd easily pay $50 or more for and the quality still wouldn't compare. My husband tried some and was amazed at how delicious it was. My picky eater son asked to try some and he ended up having several piles of noodles on his plate because he loved it as well. The bill was $110 - not nearly what I thought we would pay for an app, sodas (we didn't get any alcohol though they had a decent cocktail/beer/wine menu) and 3 meals that were incredibly large in size and delicious. Service was exceptional. Every server we encountered was friendly and helpful. Even the girls at the pizza counter stopped us on the way out and helped us bag up our to-go containers, even though they were manageable with one. I know everyone's palate and experience is so varied at any restaurant but I truly cannot understand some of the low reviews for Vespucci's. This has become a new favorite in our rotation. The true test for quality in a restaurant is to show up on the busiest night, at the busiest time - and see how they handle customer service and try the food. Nothing about our experience was disappointing. All customers were happy and everyone's food looked wonderful as we headed out. We are just a 15 minute drive from Vespucci's but we can't wait to visit again. 10/10, would change nothing!! read more

The food is tasty and well prepared. Although an Italian restaurant, there are no super heavy pasta dishes. Salads are very good, with fruit, cheese, nuts, and more. Staff is helpful and very available, special requests were done perfectly. They do have pizza, including gluten free, which has been helpful when I bring young people with me (including one with celiac disease!) The hardest part for me was how noisy the restaurant is. It was not very busy when we came, and yet one noisy table behind us reverberated through the dining room. I could barely hear my friend talk. my first time here. had the best server, wish i could remember her name. she was a doll. nice variety on the menu from apps to desserts. my dad suggested this place after spending an entire day in new haven trying to organize some reno materials for reno work. he ordered the puttanesca, & omg. finally somebody who gets this right. my stomach was acting up so i had chicken tortellin soup. they did it right because the tortellini was not falling apart in the soup. i only tasted his puttenesca & it was perfect. i cant tell you how many lackluster dishes ive had of this in other places. it's the balance of capers, anchovies, KALAMATA olives which everyone seems to overlook, was a PERFECT blend. the staff were all very friendly. & meal was delicious. next time Id like to bring a better appetite, bec everything that was passing us looked delicious! the stuffed shells looked amazing. read more

I will be honest: we ended up here because our favorite restaurant had such a long wait. Quite frankly, I walked in the door with a less than positive attitude. Our server was a career waitress, who was exceptional at her job! She was pleasant, fun, informative, ...and she made my mood turn around. Every couple of years we give this place a try but always remember why we don't come here as often. We just do not love it, but it's not horrible! We got the arancini to start, it was very good. The bread was so good with the dipping oil, and the side salads were a good size, fresh and tasty. Then the meals - the chicken Parmesan was ok, a little skimpy on the meat compared to other places. This is a preferred meal wherever we go so we critique it. The taste was ok, but something about the sauce, just wasn't there for us. Next, the stuffed shrimp - large shrimp and really stuffed. Very salty, and the stuffing tasted like Stove Top. The service was excellent and our waitress was very nice. It's a very clean restaurant and overall nice environment. As an international boarding student nearby this is my second dining hall. I love the food here so much that I will come here twice a week though it cost so much. I mean take a look at the pictures. it is just so delicious. If I say Vespucci's is the ranked second restaurant in Cheshire, nobody dares to claim that they are the best. The service is also really nice, they will check to refill your drink every time they pass by. The seats seems there is not a big room for you to sit in but it's actually very comfortable because it's a sofa and you got plenty of legroom. But one thing, one thing that I wouldn't really want to give it a five star because sometimes, for example, a Saturday evening, this place will get so overcrowded that you will even wait like 30 minutes to take your order. But I say it's worth waiting and I give it a five star because I want everyone to know that this is the best restaurant in Cheshire. read more

I decided it was about time I gave this restaurant a try. Since we had a ten minute wait we noticed a constant line waiting for pizza takeout. So I'll definitely be coming back soon to try their pizza. As for our dinner, the first thing I ordered was a glass of wine, and I must say it was a generous pour. Our server then brought out their homemade bread and garlic oil for dipping. Both were delicious, and the bread has a nice flavor to it. Since they sell thier bread by the loaf I will be stopping by during the week to pick some up. My wife ordered the chicken parmesan, and I ordered the veal parmesan. Both came with a nice salad,and side of pasta. The entrées were very fresh with a delicious red sauce. The pasta was a bit over cooked. Throughout the pandemic we have ordered from. Vespucci's twice. Both times the meals were excellent. Takeout orders are very well packaged. Their Caesar Salad is well worth the $2 upcharge with an entree. It is plentiful and the ingredients are extremely fresh. Both times my daughter has ordered the chicken siciliano, which is an extremely generous portion that tastes and smells just as good as it looks. My husband ordered the gnocchi bolognese, which comes with a meat sauce that appears to have a touch of cream added to it. It was very good. Next time I need to try a new dish another dish, but shrimp parm is one of my favorites so I tend to order it every time. In addition to a salad, each entree also comes with fresh Italian bread. Vespucci's is 100% takeout right now, and we are happy to support this local restaurant. read more

Anyway, I have been eating exclusively coal fired pizzas as of late but decided to give the "regular" pizza a go tonight. I've alway liked their pizza so expected it to be good. What happened to this place? It used to be good. It's been several years since I've eaten here and always remember it being delicious. My experience for dinner last night was terrible. The calamari appetizer is that frozen stuff in a box that you get at Restaurant Depot - terrible. Ordered the Pork Osso Bucco, which was one of the specials. The Pork was tender but way under seasoned, and the Risotto was not edible. Under cooked with a funky flavor- I left all of it. The restaurant was very busy and WAY under staffed, and the service was painfully slow. This place was a recommendation from my landlord. First impression, it's a quaint little place located in Cheshire, CT. My friend and I checked in with the hostess and were told it would be a 35min wait. The only part I found frustrating in this was the restaurant was half empty. When we were finally seated our waitress promptly brought us fresh hot bread and took our drink order. I highly recommend the prosecco, it was delicious! I ordered the chicken scarpariello and my friend ordered the linguine pomodoro. Both of these dishes were absolutely delicious and made even better leftovers.
