How do you rate a place that does everything well? Well nearly everything. First off, it has some of the best designed space in the area. Comfy chairs and just a pleasant place to eat at. The outside space is also first rate. The servers themselves are also attentive. Helpful and responsive. The small issue we've had is that the food, particularly anything sushi related, just tends to take a while. They just appear understaffed there for the volume. But..the food is very good and reasonably priced. There's something for everyone. Lobster roll? Check. (The bun could be a little sturdier). Chicken and risotto? Delish. Ribs and fries, also quite good. And great cocktails. So a little bit that can be improved (but no deal breakers) but overall a great place to eat in the valley.

Came over with a party of six after a family outing of kayaking down the road. Service was exceptional and quick. We ordered the Mango Habanero Whiskey Margarita which was a smooth Ol Smokey, guava, citrus, Tajin rim. We also sipped on a Peach Bellini We shared the Buttermilk Chicken Tenders with buffalo and agave tamarind BBQ dipping sauce as well as some Smoked Chicken Wings with sweet chili lime. The wings were very crispy as well as the chicken tenders but juicy! We also shared the Roasted Pork Tacos topped with pineapple salsa and shredded red cabbage and also the Smoked Brisket Tacos which has Korean steak sauce, pickled onion, pickled jalapeño I will say the brisket taco was a little underwhelming for the price with one piece of brisket Everything was delectable and came out pretty quick. Our server was friendly This is a fancier establishment but we didn't care after a day of kayaking!

Roasted Portobello Mushrooms Rice Bowl - A rice bowl features a base of cooked rice topped with a generous amount of chopped fresh greens, creamy sauce, and sautéed dark mushrooms. The dish is presented on a white ceramic plate with a rustic, slightly speckled rim, placed on a wooden table. In the background, part of another plate and a copper-colored utensil holder are visible.

Tonight we went to dine at the Rooftop in Canton. I was immediately impressed with the exhibition of this place, from the plush seats to the huge chandelier, that's bedazzled in crystals. At the Rooftop, you may be seated inside, downstairs, upstairs or at the rooftop. It was still pleasant to sit outside when we arrived, but a light jacket would have been handy as it got later into the evening. As fun as it is to sit on the rooftop, the view, for the most part is not noteworthy at all. You mostly have the gray parking lot and the post office. To the left you will get a very New England fall image of some beautiful colorful trees. For my drink I got the Apple Cider Margarita. It arrived in a tall glass with sugar and cinnamon around the rim. While this was a tasty drink, it was very difficult to enjoy. At any given time there were 3 - 5 bees I had to fight to even have a single sip of my margarita. Their menu is diverse, they have sushi, bowls, steak, fish, etc... We first got a dozen of fresh oysters. These tasted pretty zesty and fresh, despite us being nowhere by the water. I got the rice bowl with Roasted Portobello Mushrooms. This rice was yellow and fluffy, with sriracha sauce, chopped, roasted Portobello mushroom and seaweed salad on top. What a delightful mix of ingredients. This was very filling and flavorful. The calamari were also very flavorful, tender and colorful. We concluded with the Dark Chocolate Mousse. This was super creamy and tasty. It tasted much more like milk chocolate than dark chocolate. The service was top notch at On the Rooftop. We all enjoyed their electrically flavored meals.

I wasnt sure what to expect - At the Rooftop is in the back of an old McDonald's plaza where they now serve grilled cheese. They're across from a post office, and next to an abandoned grocery store. Parking is for days, and they have pretty flowers growing outside. Seating is also for days, and there is an elegant staircase with a gorgeous chandelier you can take upstairs. Or, there's a cool hidden elevator in the back. There's at least a batr per floor, and what seems to be kind of a self serve been pour on the first. The actual rooftop has lots of seating, although it needs more light from the outside world. I was seated near the outside door, and there is a burst of air everything someone went in or out. It must be amazing on hot days although may not be the table id put someone in more temperate weather. Luckily I'm the type of person who can calmly sit through repeated bursts of air and things flying. The food was great! The spinach artichoke dip was hot with a great layer of cheese on top, and the chicken dinner with potato, brussel sprout, and honey made perfect bits. Dessert was dessert, but it was beautifully plated.

Sushi - A rectangular black plate holds a sushi roll with slices of fish, avocado, and toppings, garnished with shredded cheese, wasabi, and pickled ginger. The plate is on a wooden table with various drinks, including a glass of red wine, a glass of orange juice, and a glass of water. Additional dishes and utensils are visible, indicating a dining setting at a restaurant.

Canton's gone metro! There's always been a charming small town feel about Canton, but this spot is a welcome and delightful addition. I'm all about the customer service, and our server was friendly, efficient and earnest, checking in frequently and responding promptly. We sat on the outdoor deck, which also used heaters taking the evening chill out of it. Comfortable and elegant. Sure, it just looks over the parking lot, but it somehow felt very luxurious! The menu was outstanding; while fully half of it was creative sushi plates, there is plenty for the traditional American diner to enjoy (burgers, wraps, salads and good ole meat and potato's.) Gotta say tho, you will do yourself a disservice if you don't order from their fabulous specialty sushi choices. OMG my cousins wife's order came with an angel ICE SCULPTURE that I ridiculously wanted to wrap and take home to the freezer; (for what? I don't know). My roll was absolutely delicious and a very generous portion. The owner both greeted us and met us at the door on the way out to wish us a good night. It takes a lot to impress me, so well done all around. Don't miss it.

The image shows a close-up of a sushi roll featuring tempura shrimp, avocado, and drizzled sauce, arranged on a black slate serving plate. The sushi is garnished with green leaves, and the background includes a wooden table with a fork, knife, and a partially visible dish, indicating a dining environment.

I recently visited At The Rooftop on a Saturday to celebrate my birthday and a friend's, and it was such a treat! This time, the restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas , which added to the festive vibe. The space is so large, with multiple rooms, that it never feels crowded--even without reservations (though we made them just in case). The menu has an incredible variety to choose from--sushi, tacos, rice bowls, kebabs, sandwiches, and main plates. Everything sounded so good that it was hard to decide! We kicked things off with an appetizer recommended by our friend that was with us: their spinach dip. If you're a fan, you have to try it--adding pulled buffalo chicken takes it to the next level (for an extra charge). The sushi was excellent--so fresh, with generous portions that were both filling and satisfying. My friends enjoyed their meals as well, and we couldn't resist ending the night with dessert. Our waiter was fantastic, and I appreciated how the menu clearly labels gluten-free items, with some dishes also available as GF upon request. I'd love to come back and try their brunch! It's such a lovely space, perfect for any occasion.

First time here and I was definitely impressed! Wanted to grab something to eat after finishing up kayaking in Collinsville. I couldn't have picked somewhere better. The food was fresh and delicious. Staff was friendly and accommodating. This Restaurant was clean and had beautiful dining area. Also rooftop seating is available.

Unfortunately we had a similar experience to others. Mother's day dinner reservation at 5:15 took 2+ hours. Waitress took 30 minutes to greet our table so finally the manager took our drink and appetizer order. She apologized but still was barely seen after that. Took over an hour for entrees after appetizers came. Food was just okay. It's a massive restaurant and they need more staff.

Tried at the Rooftop for my birthday! The restaurant looked very fun online as I saw water shots. The restaurant is huge and has plenty of seating in various areas: bar, dining rooms on two different floors and outside seating. Well, our server told us she was new. She was quite good! We started with a Mexican street corn I felt like it just really lacked flavor. It was accompanied by homemade tortilla chips, which were just OK. We had the spinach and artichoke dip and had the crab Rangoon. Add on the dip was actually the best part of what we ate it was cheesy and very well flavored. However, we didn't taste the crab. Not sure if it was there. We shared a California roll, which was fresh and good. For dessert we had the apple crumble. I took a bite and burnt my tongue on the apple so I warned my son. He told me his first bite of the apple was ice cold. The dessert was still good overall I just wasn't wowed.

Sun Toucher cocktail - A tall, clear glass filled with a yellow cocktail containing ice, a straw, and a garnish that appears to be a lemon or pineapple slice. The drink is placed on a wooden table set for dining, with plates, napkins, and utensils visible nearby. The background shows a person in a black shirt, a glass of water, and other dining items, indicating an outdoor or patio dining setting.

Since this place has been open for about 3 months now, my family and I decided to check it out. I prefer to go when new places are settled down and already worked out most of their kinks; this way I can give them a fair review. The type of food they have is New American with a global twist; they had a vast American fusion food menu, from tacos, burgers, sushi, poke bowl, you name it, they might have it. It's part of the Zen Restaurant Group, which is a group of 5 restaurants in Connecticut. The executive chef is Dan Fortin and they have an omakase sushi bar; there is also a self serve beer and wine area, inside. The parking lot was plentiful in the Canton village plaza. We had a late lunch on Saturday, and we were able to get a seat right away on the rooftop. The restaurant was huge and nicely designed; the rooftop was open and airy. The inside area had chandeliers and it just looked modern and classy. Even the restrooms were super nice, clean, and private. The host and our server were prompt and cordial. We had our two little wild-lings, but it was an enjoyable experience (parents, you feel me?). They had a high chair which was a plus. I wasn't overly hungry, so I ordered a sushi roll and a cocktail. I read reviews and sushi seems to make everyone happy there. The sushi roll I had was called Dynamite ($19); it had fried fish, kani crabmeat, avocado, cream cheese topped w/ spicy tuna, caviar, green scallion, eel sauce and spicy mayo sauce; this was so good, the flavors bursted in my mouth and the sushi roll alone was 5 stars. The cocktail I had was called the Sun Toucher ($12) which had rum, orange curacao, lime juice, orgeat syrup, and dark rum float; flavors were perfect and it was topped with maraschino cherry and a piece of pineapple. The food and drinks came out at a reasonable time. Overall, the food, drinks, and service was good. I can't wait to go back and try out more of their food items!

The food is good here, as with all of these related restaurants. We decided to each order selections of the Prix Fix menu which was fun. We had arugula salad, scallops and shrimp and pulled pork egg rolls to start. For the main we had a stuffed chicken, burger and short rib risotto. I was a bit disappointed with the main course. I ordered the short rib risotto and there was not much rib, one could say it was short rib! The prix fix had dessert included and the flourless chocolate cake was a winner. Service was A+. Thank you Blake. You contributed to a wonderful night. My rating here is good. The place is nice. New. But pricey. I think that this is more of a lounge than a destination to eat a dinner in my book. A few cocktails and apps, maybe sushi or other finger foods and you're good!

The photo depicts the front exterior of Hello Nop, a restaurant and bar, featuring large windows, a gray siding exterior, and a white decorative stone section. The building has a black metal railing on the roof and a small covered entrance with white columns. There is a parking lot with marked spaces in the foreground, and the sky appears overcast.

"Right smack dab in the middle of town I found a paradise that's trouble-proof (up on the roof) So, if this world starts getting you down There's room enough for two up on the roof" (Carole King) James Chen is the President of the Zen Restaurant Group, with La Figata in Granby, @ The Barn in Granby, Han Asian Cuisine in Granby, and Table 570 in Simsbury all successfully dishing up great food in fantastic restaurants. Chen has done it again and added a gorgeous restaurant to his portfolio that is destined to be his flagship eatery. Welcome to @ The Rooftop in Canton. It replaces the old Mikado Restaurant, which in turn replaced the very old Rice Fields Restaurant. The refurbishing job you'll see @The Rooftop is nothing short of amazing. The old one-story structure now has two stories. The interior is glitzy, cool, and quite spiffy! The second floor is split into an indoor dining room and a full-length outdoor patio. We took advantage of the warm temperature and had dinner upstairs on the outdoor patio. We started off with two of their Signature Cocktails -a $12 Sun Catcher with Planteray 3 Star Rum, Orange Curacao, lime juice, and almond flavored syrup with a splash of dark rum floating on the top. I gotta tell ya, it was maybe the strongest drink I ever had, except for the 151 Rum and Cokes I had back in my college days. Let me just say that the Sun Catcher sure gets the job done. My wife went for an $11 Club Midori with Tito's Vodka, orange, pineapple and lemon juice, and of course, Midori. It was served with what looked like a pineapple frond sticking up out of the glass. Now it was time to check out the Rooftop's food choices, and we immediately noticed there were a lot of styles on the menu - rice bowls, salads, steaks & chops, kebabs, empanadas, tacos, sandwiches, wraps, full entrees, Poke, and sushi. We started off by splitting an $8 Crispy Avocado Salad with house greens, avocado, mango dressing and sesame seeds. It was excellent and the avocado slices were ripe, creamy, and pretty much perfect. My wife went for the Asian Chicken Wrap ($16) with buttermilk chicken, orange hoisin sauce, crispy shallots, shredded lettuce and carrots. She chose shoestring fries as her side dish, but the available choices also included Hand-cut Fries, Side Salad, Kimchi Seasoned Slaw, Sweet Potato Fries (+$1) or Truffle Fries (+$1). I went into their sushi menu and chose one of their House Special Rolls irresistible named Spicy Girl ($20) with Spicy tuna, spicy salmon, jalapeño wrapped in soy paper topped with spicy yellowtail, wasabi, peas, chili flakes and wasabi honey dressing. It was incredible! Ten plump pieces bursting with different colors and texture and tastes. It was excellent. Our anniversary dinner ran just $72 after tax and tip. Shout out to our server Laura, who was welcoming, helpful and very pleasant. She didn't rush us and let us enjoy a leisurely dinner. @ The Rooftop is still in its soft opening phase, but it already looks like a smash hit. The patio was pretty full on a Tuesday night when we left. I also want to give a shout out to Jimmy Chen who seemed to be everywhere, helping out with table movements, and greeting the customers. He was like a proud papa beaming at a maternity ward.

Such a beautiful new addition to Canton, CT! There is rooftop seating, several spacious dining areas, three bars throughout the restaurant, a self serve beer/wine and cider selection, and they even offer an event space. The menu also has many options ranging from sushi and poke bowls to tacos, sandwiches, steaks, rice bowls and chicken dishes. A great cocktail selection too. For appetizers, I started with their calamari and artichoke spinach dip. For the entrees, I tried the rooftop burger (with truffle fries) and the cider brined airline chicken, which was paired with Brussel sprouts and potatoes. Generous portions and super delicious. The chicken had the perfect smokey flavor and was very juicy. Waitresses were super attentive throughout the meal.

The burger was huge and well cooked. So juicy it dripped. A flavor bomb. I also ordered the famous Kitchen Sink wings for the table, along with a side of Blue Cheese AND Ranch. The wings were super juicy. Top Tier Juicy. But the outer texture was still appropriately crisp. The sauce was sweet and savory, with a little bit of heat. Great wings. The mussel sauce was unique compared to a typical tomato base, which we really appreciated. For my entrée, though, I was disappointed to see that the tuna salad I always order had completely changed. It used to be an arugula salad with Asian flavors and the tuna served on top. Now it It's a Niçoise salad, and the tuna is awkwardly placed on the side. Nothing about the tuna tasted like it did before. I'm usually a sucker for ahi tuna, but this was honestly one of the most disappointing ahi dishes I've ever had. It felt totally incohesive with the salad next to it. I really wish they didn't change the menu so frequently. Once I finally find an entrée I genuinely look forward to, it disappears. That said, we'll still be back for the great happy hour food and solid drinks. Now it's just a matter of finding a menu item I like... and hoping they keep it.

Although, the french fries were calling my name. Ombra is a place that I could see us coming to almost every week and not getting tired of it. We met a local who is very nice and told us how Ombra is very popular. I think we will have to come back in the spring/summer to get those french fries :) If you are ever in Lenox definitely make your way to Ombra for a nice glass of wine or try a cocktail. This is the perfect date night spot for sure whether you start or end your evening here, you will be happy! Cheers~

Food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. I had the Birria tacos and the yogurt/naan platter. I will absolutely be back to try more!

It's been a few years since I've dined at Market Place of Avon. What sets Market Place apart is…read morethat that they offer a wide selection of options, from seafood, to bowls, to burgers, to steak and more. They have a beautiful, spacious interior, with such a warm feel from all of the exposed wood. In the warmer months their outdoor patio is open. I started with the White Sangria, this was refreshing and lightly sweet, I enjoyed picking the tiny apple pieces afterwards. For the app we got the Brussel Sprouts. These were crispy, with goat cheese, crushed pecans and dates. These were excellent! The roasted beet salad was a bit odd. I couldn't find a single beet. It wasn't bad, it had a ton of kale. The winner was Ahi Tuna Bowl. This had rice, avocado, cucumber, edamame and tuna, topped with sriracha. This was flavorful, tasty and a generous portion. I would return here again.

We had a 630 reservation and we seated immediately. This restaurant is very attractively decorated, warm and cozy. One end of the room had a huge stone fireplace and we had a good view of the kitchen. We started with drinks and a terrific little bread basket of freshly baked bread that was topped with a butter infused with just a touch of cinnamon. That was really delicious. Our server took our entrée order of the Chatham Bay fish fry and short ribs of beef bourguignon. The fish and chips was very very good on the fish. Two large pieces of cod that were perfectly deep-fried in a thin but crunchy coating that was excellent. The shoestring fries were a little less impressive in the sense that they looked a bit industrial without a lot of character, but were passable. This dish would've been an 8 out of 10 if the fries had a greater degree of character. This was accompanied by a remoulade, malt vinegar. The short ribs of beef were exceptionally good and would have made Julia Child proud. Short ribs of beef slow cooked in red wine, onion, bacon, and mushrooms, accompanied by mashed potatoes, root veggies. For the two of us, $99. $120 with the tip. The service was prompt, polite, and professional. This was worth a second try.

Service was a little rocky at the beginning since it took a bit for someone to come over to us but everything was smooth from there. I got salmon and filet mignon and it was pretty good and I still had so much left to take home! The crisp on the salmon was perfect without it being dried out. The steak was cooked a bit too well for my liking, but wasn't tough so it's fine. If I could recommend one item to get and one to skip for sure: get the shumai (like 3 servings) and skip the lycheetini. A good time overall.

Depending on what you've ordered it may take a little time to cook but the service is pretty good overall. Although it can be busy they do have comfortable booths to relax and enjoy your meal. Inevitably once in a while you're going to hear partying going on especially around the Hibachi cooking areas where families come for a show besides the food. Clearly a great place to bring your family. My wife personally enjoys the fresh made house salad dressing as I do too. I've tried the plain Chicken Wings (crispy), boy do they ever come out so delicious and hot. The Boneless Sticky ribs are sweet and tasty. We've sat at the Hibachi table twice already and enjoyed the food and cooking show. There are so many items to choose from I don't think anybody would not find something on their menu to enjoy. Everything I've tried I've thought to be delicious.
