First time visiting the red fox amore and definitely would come back. Came here for a birthday lunch/ dinner for my mother. We ordered the chicken parm/ eggplant parm with penne. Food came out piping hot and it tasted great. I actually burnt my mouth on the chicken it was so delicious. Staff was fantastic! They even offered my mother a free birthday dessert of her choice. Definitely a good pick here.

My wife and I stopped in for Lunch as we have dined at all the other Red Fox locations. I always let her pick the 2 it ms she wants, and then she can have more than 1 choice. I was left with the Chicken Piccata, and this was a delicacy that caused me to make repeated out loud affirmations of deliciousness. My wife was dipping her sandwich in the sauce and immediately declared we have to come back for dinner. We live 55 minutes away, see you soon. The service was beyond expectation and we loved the atmosphere.

This was chicken parm and Alfredo, Forgot the pick of my wife's dish which was chicken Marla and was tasty too!

Food was good and great portions Service was top of the line and even took us in right before closing but we took it to go out of respect! Ambience we were the last customers front of the house was very clean. Will return.

We celebrate birthdays with a great meal, creative drinks and yummy desserts. Candle added without request. Service was excellent and very attentive. We loved our friendly waiter. We will be returning.

I went in excited to try this new Red Fox being that I love the original. Have to say I was less than impressed. We were sat immediately as it wasn't busy when we arrived. We sat in the dining room. Our server was not attentive at all. We had to call him over to take our order. I ordered the chicken francaise and my mom ordered the manicotti. She said her sauce tasted burnt and dish was small considering the price. My food was meh... They have 1/2 price martinis from 3-6 but it neglects to say on the menu that it's the bar area only, a bit deceptive. The bar area is very small. The patio is beautiful but there didn't appear to have any umbrellas. I'll stick to the original Red Fox!

I have to say they have the best happy hour We weren't there for happy hour. We went for dinner, but we noticed they had very good prices on their happy hour menu. So I decided to order The chicken and beef tenderloin tips, but I asked if it would be OK not to have the mashed potato. I prefer pasta which was not a problem at all. It was very tasty. The chicken was extremely tender, and the beef tenderloin was absolutely delicious . My husband ordered The clams and crab meat with gnocchi with Alla Vodka sauce which was a special it was very tasty and a good size portion . The waitress brought out some bread, olives, and also cheese before our meal . We had no problem at all getting service. The staff were very friendly and welcoming . The atmosphere was bright and clean with a lot of windows and a nice size bar. We did get an appetizer which was on the happy hour special. We did order the wings they were made to order. They were very large and done to perfection. I would definitely go back to this Italian restaurant.

This place opened several months ago and we've been wanting to give it a try. We went last night and it did not disappoint. Calamari appetizer was well cooked-not rubbery and delicious. So were the entrees, manicotti and a blackened chicken over risotto special. Portions were large enough for left overs. We were seated right away and Emily our server was polite and friendly. Fair prices. I see they also have a Sunday brunch that we can't wait to try. They have a great looking patio just a little chilly last night.

Wanted to try this new Red Fox restaurant. Loved how the restaurant is conveniently located right off the main road but as soon as you're on the patio you are transported to somewhere else. The staff was very attentive and always available if we needed anything. We tried the clams Casio which was a slightly different recipe. I am classic and prefer a basic recipe. We just thought it was a traditional recipe because they didn't mention the variations when telling us the specials. The eggplant Parmesan sauce was just the way I like it. Fresh tomato taste! The eggplant was very thin generous portion of layered cutlets. My personal preference is a slightly thicker slice because I love the eggplant most. I was impressed with all the homemade pastas and different varieties available. I look forward to trying the others.

I was very, very pleased with the customer service right off the start. They immediately brought over a great little olive and cheese bowl with some focaccia bread. My drink came out absolutely fantastic as well as my friends. We started off with the Burrata salad, which was a delight. We shared a special lobster ravioli with prosciutto and plum tomatoe cognac sauce. Soooo good! Can't wait to come back!

Great for the warmer months when joined by a couple of friends. I am giving this a 3 stars because the last time me & my partner visited we did not get the same welcoming attitudes which we experienced in our previous visits. I was the only woman standing there so I am not sure if this had something to do with it.... Definitely a college bar-type atmosphere. The atmosphere is straight up bar but we still felt comfortable with our teens with us. It would have been fine with smaller children too as the restaurant seating is away from the bar area. The beer menu was fairly comprehensive. They have their own brews and have many local CT craft brews on draft. They also have some cans and bottles if that's your thing. I didn't notice any crazy rare lambics but that's not what we were looking for. We had a few hazies and few stouts and everything was delightful. Our server Anna was a seasoned pro. She knew the menu and exactly when to come by our table to check in. We had some pulled pork nachos and there was plenty to go around. The dry rub on the wings was delicious and the wings themselves were cooked right. Overall, if you find yourself in Middletown looking for a nice beer and some decent food, this is a great choice!

I do wish there were more signs, as both the parking lot and the entrance felt a bit vague and easy to miss. Once we finally found our way inside, we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere reminded me of another local tavern. Staffed by friendly people. The food was good, and the overall experience was enjoyable. My only disappointment was the lack of information about the history of the establishment. There is a lot of marketing that references its connection to a jailhouse on the menu, but very little information is actually shared within the tavern itself. I found myself wanting to learn more about the story behind the place. I also think it would be fun to add a photo-op area--perhaps even outdoors--with a set of mock jail bars where guests could take pictures. It would fit the theme and add a memorable touch. The tavern itself is fairly small, so I can imagine it gets quite crowded during busy times. Overall, it's definitely worth checking out.

All of our food came out around the same time, which I appreciated. The ceviche was my personal favorite--super fresh and flavorful. The Peruvian street wok was also very well seasoned. The ambiance and scenery of the place are really nice and add to the overall vibe. There were a few downsides. Parking was a bit of a hassle, and for a Saturday, the place was surprisingly empty. Unfortunately, there were some men at the bar being rude to women, and at one point even flicked us off, which was uncomfortable. Jen handled the situation as best as she could and was very apologetic and reassuring. As for drinks, the towers tend to have a lot of ice, so by the time you get to the bottom, they're pretty watered down. The bottomless mimosas were definitely worth the price, but the service could be improved--I wish there was more consistent check-ins rather than having to flag someone down. Overall, I would go back because the food was really good, but I do think having security during brunch and improving drink service would make the experience much better.

The interior decor of the restaurant is a bit bland- multiple tables arranged in a large room. The room could definitely use some color to brighten the mood. Ceiling tiles were stained and detracted from the atmosphere. But I did like the choice of music- Sinatra, Patsy Cline, etc.! Great choices! The food was, overall, fairly good. The wedge salad was different than usual, served with blue cheese and dressing but also with a balsamic addition. Unusual but good. The rigatoni bolognese was very tasty. The Canadian salmon was good- however the Parmesan risotto could have used more flavor (salt?). The Delmonico steak was served on a sizzling platter and was cooked properly (I ordered it rare and it was rare). However, the meat was a bit tough/chewy which detracted from the meal. Not the quality of meat I would expect from a higher end steakhouse. Overall the meal was okay, but not up to par with other steak houses I've been to.
