    Side Corned Beef Hash
    Jason P.

A number of people have raved about Mitchell's on Main. I have eaten at a Mitchell's before, but not this one. I have also eaten in the building housing this Mitchell's when it was a different breakfast place. Mitchell's is not fancy and offers reasonably priced breakfast options. We had a short wait for a table for 5 people on a Saturday morning. They managed the line well and service was pretty efficient once we were seated. I ordered a Sausage Egg & Cheese on an everything bagel. It was decent. The sausage was in link form, which is not ideal for a bagel sandwich. The cheese could have been a bit more melted. Nothing really stood out positive or negative otherwise. I also ordered a side of corn beef hash. It was a fairly standard version. It didn't pop for me, but it was fine. My son ordered a chili omelette with cheese and some veggies. He was thrilled with it. I had a couple bites and it was definitely the best thing I tasted that morning. The chili was sweet. Mitchell's is a fair breakfast spot, and when you factor in price, it certainly could be an appealing option for some people. I prefer other breakfast options within my driving radius. 3.5 Stars

Still and always will be our favorite local breakfast spot! Great family run restaurant with the best breakfast around. With all the rising food costs, Mitchell's is still affordable for a great meal. Staff is the absolute best and will remember you each time you come in. Great takeout game too if you're in a pinch. An absolute Cromwell staple!!

First impression very cute good size diner. Everyone seemed friendly. Can't wait to try the breakfast quesadilla.

Driving alone the highway and found this spot about 10 minutes off. Service was very good. Food tasted great no complaints at all. Will come back again to try other foods.

First time visit Quaint little spot Easy to find, easy to see Diner decor Heads up parking is a little tight The variety was just right. I ordered the 2 for breakfast. Pancakes were PERFECT, Turkey sausage very flavorful, Eggs... are eggs. Potatoes were just ok, not a fan of the hash (to be fair, I am a bit of snob when I comes to hash though) Service is great I would definitely come back. Thank you, Julia for making my first visit GREAT.

The Irish Eggs Benedict is fantastic. Quick and friendly service too! Love Mitchell's.

This is a solid breakfast spot. We've only done takeout so far so I can't comment on the sit down service. I like getting our toddler breakfast quesadillas egg and cheese. She likes them a lot. They also have muffins and bagels, but I didn't see them listed on the online menu. I prefer their pancakes over their French toast. I got oatmeal from them and they had quick-melt brown sugar to go with it which was a nice touch. They have parking along the side of the building and there's also a public lot across the side street in case that is full.

Came in on a Friday morning for breakfast. This place is so close to my house so it was a super short drive. We came in and we're seated right away and the host grabbed us drinks as soon as we sat down. The waitress Julia was so nice and attentive. She was super sweet, made sure the food was all cooked perfectly, and checked in and filled our coffee regularly. The guy bussing tables was also extremely friendly. Really just an great overall atmosphere in here! We ordered the House Special with corned beef hash instead of the ham. Also the lobster Florentine; both dishes were fantastic. The coffee is also delicious, I love a good cup of diner coffee. You should definitely come check this place out!!

Haven't been back here for so long a time and it's just down the street. Had a very early physical exam and needed some morning fortification so ended up here. Very good Breakfast Sandwich of egg and bacon on a hard roll. This was done just right and was just what I needed with lots of crispy bacon. Two cups of good coffee and I was out of there to take on the day. Nice friendly hometown service!

Our office always orders from Mitchell's it's always fantastic. They have a verity of mixed sandwiches my favorite is turkey with Swiss on a cersont!! They also do a great fruit salad the fruit is always fresh and delicious. This time we also tried something new and ordered beef stroganoff omg delicious it was made with steak that was so tender the sauce was a light mushroom sauce I would definitely recommend. If your looking for a great breakfast lunch spot look no further!!

A solid three star breakfast spot, prompt service, decent breakfast, great pancakes. The upgrade to real maple syrup is key to enjoying pancakes anywhere really IMO. These pancakes were nice and fluffy and tasty. The eggs were meh, the sausage was decent, the home fries were not good at all. The place was hopping on a weekend and the turnover was hopping as well for tables. We shared a toasted blueberry muffin to start and it was good but nothing spectacular.

You expect, like the other establishments in the plaza, to find a small cafe style restaurant. When you walk in, you are surprised with fun decor and spacious dining area. Everyone who has gone with me says the same thing "I would never expect it to look like this based on the outside." As for food, they have the Best Reuben sandwich in Rocky Hill. Fries are crispy and price on point. Every meal I've had there has been great! The only downside is table service during lunch is very slow. So make sure you have a full hour to burn if you go for lunch.

Secondly, the latte, cocktail & mocktail options are amazing, along with the many many options of food. I've heard that food from restaurants with large menus are mediocre...this DOES NOT apply here. My party of 2 tried breakfast & lunch options. Both were fresh & so flavorful, especially that homemade syrup I had with the French Egg Holes & Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (3). The home fries came out & were seasoned to perfection. Also, not 1 hard potato to be found. The over medium egg in my thick french toast was actually medium! And they gave me the wholes that were cut from the center of the bread. The pancakes were so fluffy & the icing delish. Tasted exactly like a cinnamon roll. We also ordered 2 different mimosas. The cranberry & the classic. Both were made crispy cold, with quality juices & came garnished. The Salted Cinnamon Mocha Latte, was velvet. It wasn't overly sweet, it wasn't watery or overly bold. I was surprised about how tall the cup was...I drank all of it. It wasn't served scorching hot, so I could sip right away. The Greek Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup was lovely. Typically, soup is watery & looks like it was the last bits, but this had chunky meat, the broth had flavor with hints of lemon. You could see the herbs. This didn't scream, I'm from a can at all. The service was also nice & the waitresses didn't mind that we couldn't make our decisions right away. She & her counterpart offered suggestions & were very kind with checking on us. At the end of the meal, we couldn't help but order some take home from the lunch menu for later. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I have been conflicted between a 3 or 4 star and I have decided to give it a 3.5 stars, but will round down to 3 stars just because the wait can be extremely long with inattentive service. My dilemma is that even though I gave this place a 3 star, I would still highly, highly recommend people go to Rose's Berry Farm because you don't just go here for the food, but for the entire experience. Rose's Berry Farm is one of those places where you truly get to appreciate all the little things about life. Although I do understand that the wait can be frustrating, I like to think of it as just a longer time to be spending quality time in nature with your loved ones while appreciating your breath taking surroundings. This past Sunday I had friends from out of state visiting and decided to take them to Rose's. We arrived at around 11 am and waited around an hour to be seated so be prepared to be standing there for a bit. We ordered their Belgian Waffles, French Toast, and Quiche. The waffles and French toast come with Rose's homemade jam and whipped cream, which are AMAZING (I cannot emphasize that enough, you really have to try it). I have tried their Breakfast Burrito in the past and I don't think it is anything special so I do not recommend ordering that. My go to order for Rose's would be the Belgian Waffles with the jams and whipped cream on the side and the quiche. I normally don't enjoy waffles that much, but the waffles I had at Rose's were just so fluffy and when paired with the jam and whipped cream it's just a flavor explosion! Don't let the 3 stars scare you off, definitely give Rose's a try if you're ever around Glastonbury and are looking for something to do on a Sunday morning :)

My bf and I got there around 9:45 and there were already a couple larger parties in front of us. However, because it was just the two of us, we got seated 10 or so minutes after we got in line since a couple smaller tables opened up faster. Thank goodness too because the line was moving slow! After we got seated, our server came by quickly and took our order. We got the pancakes, french toast (both with blueberry compote) and bacon. Then... We waited... for 40 MINUTES! and in looking around, it felt like half the tables were also waiting on food. Which was pretty ridiculous since breakfast foods shouldn't take that long to make. When we finally did get our food, I was a little underwhelmed. The fresh blueberry compote on top of everything was DELICIOUS. However, I would say my pancakes were subpar. They were flavorless and not a nice, spongy texture. My bf said his french toast was pretty good and a nice crispiness. Bacon was standard. Overall, I'm not upset I went but I'm not rushing back for an ok breakfast meal and a super long wait. One redeeming factor is that the views from the outdoor patio were really nice.
