The meeting was exactly two minutes away from Bob's, so when I rolled into Bob's at a quarter to nine, saw a near empty dining room, I figured I'd have plenty of time to have a coffee, enjoy a bagel, and go through my meeting notes. Oops, that wasn't what happened. Truth be told, I made my meeting with seven minutes to spare. After I ordered, I waited for quite a while and looked up from my notes to see what was going on. I saw two servers and the manager engaged in a serious conversation about something. My server caught my eye and ran over to the kitchen, and I clearly heard her say something like "where's that egg on a bagel?". It was evident that the order hadn't even made its way to the kitchen yet. Eventually my breakfast sandwich did arrive, and the server offered some sort of an apology for the delay and communication breakdown. Now, as I said, Bob's was pretty empty today, so that made the service breakdown hard to understand. I certainly hope they do a better job on their busy weekends. Anyway, my server was pleasant, and I did appreciate her apology. The sandwich and coffee were fine, and the bill came to just $7. Will I be back next month? I doubt it. read more

The food was alright, my daughter got the kids special which I thought was a good deal, and I got the eggs Benedict which was flavorful. I asked my server to put the English muffin on the side (which my daughter was going to eat) cause I'm trying to do less carbs, but she didn't and just brought another English muffin on the side which I had to pay for and then waste the one on my plate. read more

Bacon crisped up well. Sausage links were solid. The French toast could have used a dash of salt to open the flavor but otherwise good. The coffee is decent and the service is quick and does follow up frequently. The place is a classic small diner and has the obligatory stools for quick service breakfast. One personal knock is that it's a Pepsi place and not Coke, but that is a personal preference which is not reflected in my rating. Prices are not bad for what you get. I had the worst experience at this spot. I ordered a pancake with bacon and it was stone cold. I sent it back and when the new pancake came out with the bacon I went to eat and another person came over with my old pancake and said I heated up your pancake on the grill and that one is not yours in front of you. Bob's Coffee Shop is a casual, no frills, classic breakfast and lunch joint joint that serves food at a fair price point. Given the number of tables filled with comfortable-looking people at breakfast and the way many customers were personally greeted, I believe Bob's has a loyal customer base. I was a first time customer and the Bob's servers warmly greeted me and provided very efficient and friendly service throughout my meal. Service is definitely a selling point. The inside is clean, but a little rough around the edges. When I looked down, I noticed several areas where the carpet had been taped. The breakfast offerings seemed relatively standard for a place like Bob's, which is what I was looking for. I ordered a breakfast combo with scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries and rye toast. I made two special requests - well done home fries and melted American cheese on my eggs. Bob's succeeded on both requests. The food was about average. The hash browns were well done, but they needed more salt during the cooking process. The generous three sausage links, on the other hand were too salty. I ate the sausage and hash browns together to balance the salinity. The eggs with melted cheese tasted good, but they came flat and molded together. I would have preferred a more textured look and feel. I can see why Bob's is popular with its loyal customer base. Service is great and the food is familiar and decent. Three Stars read more

This is a traditional spot. Like traditional!! Servers and staff all wore workout clothing, like hoodies and tshirts. Very friendly and it felt as if I was at my grandmas house at a BIG feast. The staff: very nice. Welcoming and friendly. I ordered the big breakfast. Wasn't that BIG. But it was simple and safe. I wanted my homefries crispy... that didn't happened. They must be short staffed in the kitchen because it took longer than expected to get my food. It was even longer for the woman besides me. Taste: it was OK. It's traditional remember. The food is excellent, although the portions are a bit smaller and the bacon could be cooked a little more, but that is my personal taste. I had been eyeing Bob's Coffee Shop (& Much More) and finally stopped in one Sunday morning. It was about 7:00 am and on my way to the office, yup. The Shop was hopping with regulars at tables and a smaller counter. The aroma of Breakfast in the air: Coffee, Bacon, Eggs, Butter, Cinnamon, and Syrup thick in the air. Boldly, I saddled up to the counter between a couple of fellas. "Morning" was exchanged. I cautiously eyed the plates and before a menu could be obtained, a coffee was offered. I ordered my standard grab and run: Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a Hard Roll...and a coffee while I waited. Knowing other were in the office, I checked-in and poled orders. Wait staff was pleasant when the order expanded. Providing a better time to enjoy the small-town vibe and sense of community. The sandwiches delivered warm with packets of ketchup. If you're looking for an old-fashioned place for coffee or brunch, this is the spot for you. It's very cute and charming on the inside, and has a very local, mom-and-pop feel to it. We came on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy. The staff were very friendly though and had us seated with just a small wait. Even though the menu might look like basic breakfast items, the food was really good! They also give you a large portion of it, so I doubt that you'll leave here hungry. I ordered the "Eggs Benedict" right off their menu, but asked for French toast under it instead with a side of "fresh fruit." After a brief discussion with the waitress I decided on berries. I overheard her giving another person's order to the Cook and realized she never asked me if I wanted cheese or Hollandaise sauce on it (as stated as options in the menu.) I called her over and told her I wanted the Hollandaise sauce and she seems surprised and it appeared that she thought it was a special request rather than something that should come with it right from the menu. I dismissed it as I was in a good mood and hungry and just wanted to enjoy my breakfast. My fruit came out first and it was nothing more than disappointing. The strawberries were a hard, light in color, and tasteless. The blueberries were tiny, very soggy and clearly previously frozen. (When I let the waitress know, she said she already knew! Then she said: "Maybe not order the blueberries next time?" Uhhh....maybe carry fresh blueberries rather than trying to pass frozen ones off as fresh?? Perhaps care about the quality of food being served. Why anyone would serve those for anything other than a cooked compote over waffles, pancakes, or French toast is beyond me. Yikes. Up until that point I had been satisfied with the waitress and all of the service I had received. When my breakfast came it was a piece of French toast with two poached eggs on top and a side of hollandaise sauce. There was no bacon or home fries that would normally come with the eggs Benedict off of the menu that I ordered. At this point I didn't even bother to address the issue and just finished my breakfast...minus the blueberries. There was so much egg yolk left on my plate because, well...No home fries to wipe it up with. The coffee was ok, and I was kindly offered a refill. When the bill came, I saw that everything was billed a la carte. Oh, well. It was too early for me and the day to try to deal with making things right just to have breakfast. The ambiance was ok...several tables and seemingly many regulars from the conversation between them and staff. At one point, a guy (who appeared to be the owner or cook) was standing right in front of me as I at ate the counter yelling across the restaurant to another customer. Came here when we were too late for breakfast at NY Pickel deli nearby so we stopped in. First time, cute spot very casual comfortable you can tell this is where the locals go. Menu prices were super affordable! We got: eggs Benedict, omelette, coffee and hot coco all for $25 food was hot and fresh. The staff was so friendly our waitress was very attentive and even brought more hollandaise sauce since she felt it wasn't enough for her liking. We for sure will be coming here again! read more

Not ever going back. On Father's Day we asked for a table for 4 & were told it would be a few minutes. A party of 6 who arrived 15mins after us was seated 15mins before us. We were told that there was only a table for 6 available at the time. After 10mins a hostess tells us they are out of chairs & waiting on 2 more seats. What????? We're from NY and were visiting the area. I checked on Yelp for breakfast places and saw Bob's had good reviews with affordable prices. I'm glad we went here! The decor is pretty bare bones, but very clean. I personally don't care about decor, but maybe some do. As soon as we walked in, we had two wonderfully cheerful ladies greet us. We told them that we wanted to order takeout. They gave us some menus and took our order right away. We had a seat, waiting for our food and were asked by a couple of different waitresses if we had been helped. One asked us if we wanted coffee while we waited. There were probably about 6 occupied tables when we went, and it seemed like many might were regulars just based on the conversations they were having with the staff. We heard a lot of "Hey Joe, how ya been?" type stuff. I love places like that. Our food came out super quick, less than 10 minutes. The ladies at the hostess stand who took our order made sure that we had everything we needed for condiments and plasticwear. Before we left we also picked up some apple bread that they were selling at the hostess stand for $6 a loaf. I'd definitely recommend it, it was delicious. Prices were super affordable, which is pretty much the main reason why we went there in the first place. We both got French toast and a side of home fries each. Both were very good but we both LOVED the home fries! We actually considered going in and ordering two more helpings lol! They were nice and crispy and were actually seasoned, unlike a lot of breakfast places that just give you bland home fries. This is a great little home town breakfast place. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. The service is friendly but not always super fast. However it is almost always busy so the staff is kept on their toes. My only complaint would be that the food is only average. There's nothing wrong with it, but it's not sensational either. Stopped by one weekday morning that I had vacation, and you could tell the place was full of regulars, mostly retirees. One of the waitresses said that we could seat ourselves. It took a little bit longer than I would have hoped to be served and for the food to come out but overall the quality was good and I was very happy with my meal especially for the low price. I ordered the standard scrambled eggs home fries and a grilled corn muffin. They even made a Mickey Mouse pancake for my one year old. Most diners would have this served up relatively quickly but it seem to take longer here I think because they were so busy. The eggs were cooked perfectly not too dry not too runny and my coffee was continually being refilled. The pancake was awesome! I'd come back for more of those! I've gotten lunch from Bob's on many occasions, and breakfasts a few times, I figured it was finally time to put some thoughts down about the place. I brought my girlfriend and our kids there for my daughter's birthday since we'd be in that area. We grabbed a large corner table and the girls made themselves at home on their side of the table. The waitress came over a few times before we were ready, but offered to give us a few minutes to look over the menus.
