Quintessential local breakfast spot, decent but basic fare Came here since I was waiting on a bakery to open, so decided to try a new place. Coming inside, was greeted by one of the servers and told to sit wherever. Picked a bench seat then looked through the menu. Asked for a recommendation, was told their French toast was great. So I got a short stack and a decaf coffee and waited. Watching the crew work, I saw a lot of locals greeted by name. Orders go in with little interaction and the staff were more interested in asking about their day rather than just taking orders. This is the type of spot one goes to for the community rather than the food. Which is good, cause the food isn't very strong. The French toast was soaked well, but not mixed enough. Leading to pockets of egg whites in the bread. Not enough cinnamon in the mix, and the initial presentation was very simple. I had to get lots of extras to doctor up the French toast to make it look good, which helped but it was still fundamentally lacking. Price was reasonable, so it's an affordable breakfast option for those looking for a quick bite. If you're looking for a place to make your staple breakfast joint and you live close, this place will scratch that itch. Go in for basic fare and you'll do just fine
This little diner (where all the breads & muffins are made in-house) is a total gem!! I came here on a Saturday morning with my dad for breakfast. We were a little discouraged at first, and we actually almost left before trying the place, because there was a line that was almost out-the-door. Fortunately, we quickly realized that this was primarily due to the size of the place (and the subsequent size of the waiting area) rather than the number of parties that were actually in front of us (which was actually only 3 or 4). This being said, it still took around 20 minutes for us to get a table due to the place's unique seating policy. There are no hosts or hostesses that seat parties as they come in, rather parties just take a seat at any table that is open and clean. This being said, we were told by the people in front of us in line (who claimed to have been coming to the place for decades) that the servers wait a while after parties leave before they clear their table, as they try to give both themselves and the kitchen a break since the place is so popular otherwise. When we were finally able to get a table we were immediately impressed with all of the various options, including a wide selection of omelets, muffins, pancakes, french toast, and far more. We opted to sample a few different things, and we were very impressed by everything that we tried (especially the muffins). It was all delicious, but our favorite was the muffins and our least favorite was he pancakes Our waitress was very friendly as well, and the prices were extremely affordable!
Stopped into Josie's with my dad for breakfast and had a wonderful time. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. The inside is quaint and has a cozy mom-and-pop diner feel to it. I got the pancakes and my dad had the gluten free French toast. The pancakes were GIANT and super tasty. Great service, food, and atmosphere. Real convenient being right off the highway too. Big portions for a cheap price. Just a lovely place all around. Dad and I will definitely be returning for more!!
I love Josie's! Food is always delicious. Yesterday I went with one of my friends and had a great breakfast! This place is always super busy. Specially on the weekends. Our food took A little longer than the normal but we were understanding as there are shortages everywhere. Staff is wonderful! My friend ordered the egg Benedict and it comes with homemade potatoes . I had eggs, gf toast with hash and potatoes. The bread they have is homemade and it's delicious. They have gf options such as muffins, toast and French toasts. Never a bad experience here at Josie's.
Ever since I saw Cinnamon Swirl Coconut French Toast on the menu, I have been dying to come here. I finally stopped by for a Sunday breakfast with my Fiancé and I'm already planning on visiting again. Upon arrival, we took notice of how busy they were, but luckily we only waited about 15 minutes before being seated. My Fiancé ordered the Corned Beef Hash with eggs, home fries and toast, and really enjoyed it. I stuck with the French toast and had a side of home fries and a sausage patty. The French toast was just as delicious as I hoped for - the crunchiness and loads of shredded coconut was perfection. The house-made bread was nicely thick and fluffy with just the right amount of cinnamon swirl. The breads were also pretty big, that I barely touched the home fries. Additionally, our waitress throughout the visit was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Josie's Corner!
A mysterious stranger approaches me on the street, and says, "Jason P, you may only eat breakfast in a restaurant once this month. You can either order whatever you want from a 3 Yelp Star Breakfast restaurant. Or, you can order toast at Josie's Corner." . . . I choose Josie's toast with its homemade bread 100% of the time! I value restaurants that execute simple things at a very high level. That's Josie's homemade bread and toast. It's not fancy bakery, crusty, sourdough round type bread. It's the type of bread loaf that you might buy sliced at the grocery, but way better and fresher. Bread like whole wheat, marble or rye. It makes the perfect morning toast. Today, I ordered a sausage, egg and American cheese on Josie's whole wheat toast for takeout. Great execution across the board. A well grilled egg. Tasty sausage. Perfectly melted cheese. And Josie's awesome toast. As highly as I feel about Josie's bread, one could feel even better about their homemade muffins. They're always super fresh and delicious. I posted a pic of their Morning Glory muffin. They will split it and grill it in butter, which is just tremendous, but today I bought it to eat later. It's great at room temperature too. Josie's serves a wide range of other breakfast items in a small diner setting. I'm contractually bound to order something involving their toast though. A month passes, the Mysterious Stranger finds me on the street, and says . . . "Jason P! You chose - wisely!"
I love little places like this! When I travel I always try to find those local spots with great food and good service that you know have become a staple in their community. Josie's Corner is exactly that! Busy when we walked in, it was clear this place was a local spot that people visited every week. We were able to choose our own table and quickly greeted for service. A lot of great breakfast staples to choose from, I ordered the Irish Benedict. Slathered in rich and creamy Hollandaise sauce, the corned beef hash flavor and saltiness was just the perfect balance for this meal. The eggs were cooked exactly how I liked them and I requested it be on top of their house made bread! Their house bread.. really good! Light and fluffy with thickness and full texture! The only thing I wish was better was the bottomless coffee.. a little lacking in flavor, tasted a bit watered down. Unfortunately most places use generic coffee brands or don't have the right ratios down. I'm a coffee snob though, so no loss of points because of this! Ha ha! If you're in and around the area looking for your breakfast fill, I definitely recommend stopping by Josie's Corner!
I love this place. All staff is friendly and fun, always have a smile on their faces. Great pick-up order ahead option. Always quick. Clean home like environment. Many options for Breakfast and lunch, new specials and items. GO VISIT, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!
Best breakfast of our whole trip! This was the best possible last minute decision I've made in hangry mode (aka give me food now or I'll lose it). We were seated quickly, served quickly, and ate some of the best breakfast food! Our server was so cute and we southerners felt like we were right back home talking with her and trying her suggestions (muffins, etc.). Hit this place up if you are passing through. You won't be sorry you did! 10/10 would go again.
Went to Josie's Diner today for a late breakfast and it was quite underwhelming. The food was just average, nothing to write home about. The service was slow, and the atmosphere was somewhat dated. It's the kind of place you might go to if you're in a pinch, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return.
My husband and I decided to try Josie's because one of his customers recommended it and gave us a gift card. I love breakfast and I can eat it any time of day. So I was super excited to try a new spot. This place is so adorable! What I love most is the cleanliness of this place. It was spotless! The staff was welcoming and friendly as well. I walked in knowing what I wanted. I ordered their veggie omelette and you have the option of sautéed or raw vegetables - which is nice for those who are calorie conscious. Along with a side of short stack pancakes. BOYYY what a feast I had, little did I know the pancakes would be huge!!! I would of been done with just one but that's ok! It wasn't wasted that's for sure. Their home fries were delicious. They had a good crispy on them with a soft inside, just right to dip in ketchup. The pancakes was cooked nice and fluffy with a nice touch of crispy buttery edges. My husband ordered French toast topped with walnuts and corn beef hashed. He cleaned off his plate real good. If I'm ever in this area again, this is where I will be for my next breakfast break.
We became regulars. Why not? Once again Im coming to try something different and of course they did not disappoint I felt like I cheated on my favorite dish ( eggs Benedict) but I needed something else today. Philly cheesesteak omelette with home fries and a bowl of fruits ( super fresh) my husband doesn't change usual eggs, bacon sausage and toast for nothing. read more
Josie's corner is a true mom and pop breakfast spot. You walk in and seat yourself to an empty table.(if you can find one! This place was packed on a Sunday morning) I waited a few minutes until a waitress came over and cleared a table for us. We were seated and brought waters. The waitress was efficient and so down to earth. The food came out fast and was fresh and on point. I got the special with 2 eggs scrambled with cheese, home fries with onions, bacon and I had to try their homemade bread! It was thick and delicious. I also got the French toast with the homemade bread and it was my favorite. Great diner with great food. Fast service which I liked too. I would come again! read more

5 star food & service even during Covid. We were on the Berlin Turnpike and Yelp pointed us in the right direction for a fantastic breakfast! Coconut cinnamon French toast, with a side of requested well done bacon (came out perfect) and we split a butter rum muffin toasted and grilled. The food was tremendous. I upgraded to real maple syrup which was a good call. We brought home butter rum, and blueberry muffins for our sleepyhead teens, they loved them too. Plastic ware, cleaning between customers, hand sanitizer, and masks were all present as well as spaced out tables to keep everyone safe. There was an abundance of bees at the outside tables and that we saw proved a bit scary for a family with young kids who moved to an inside table. read more

Yelp - I needed a place for breakfast that was local and you did not lead me astray. We came for breakfast but we also came for the toast. Yes, you read correctly, toast was what the other reviewers raved about - and what we found was so much more. Josie's Corner is a cute local breakfast spot that was doing a brisk business when my party of four arrived on a recent Saturday morning. Quickly seated and drink orders taken - a silence fell over the table as we decided what to order. I had told my brother to check out the reviews of the place and when asked what he was getting all he said was TOAST. Those were my thoughts exactly as several other reviewers had mentioned that all of their bread was homemade. The menu has your standard breakfast fare - from eggs to pancakes (plain, nut and fruit flavored) to a cinnamon swirl French toast - but we were here for the toast so the four of us ordered a variety of omelet's that came with you guessed it toast and. We thought that we had everything in order when much to our surprise we were told that there was not one but THREE different types of bread to choose from that day. Our waitress (and head baker - possibly the owner???) told us our options were honey wheat, marble rye and cinnamon swirl. Arghhhh - choices but this was quickly remedied when we were given the option of two different breads to try. I settled on an egg white veggie omelet and a slice of marble rye and a slice of cinnamon swirl. Coffee was always keep full and when our orders arrived I dug into a not only flavorful but pretty looking omelet. I usually order the same thing at breakfast places and cannot tell you how many "ugly" egg white omelets I have eaten in my day. In addition we were also served home fries that were flavorful and had the right amount of crispiness to them. But the toast was the star of the meal - thickly sliced with a fair amount of butter, the marble rye was my favorite and even had caraway seeds in it - definite plus! The cinnamon swirl was okay and our waitress told us that the French toast really brings out the flavors of the bread. End the end there was not a morsel of food left on any of our plates. For the four of us - it cost about $47. A good value IMO. One of the better breakfast places in the area. Do yourself a favor - skip the Denny's or IHOP and come to Josie's Corner, you won't be disappointed! read more
I was on the hunt to find a breakfast joint that I have not been to before and that is how I found Josie's Corner. All the raving reviews and comments got me all the more curious. The ambiance of this place may not be very appealing but the welcoming nature of the waitresses will make you settle in right away. The menu is good and has the right amount of items where you will not get confused. I ordered the Josie's Omelet and I have to say, it was AMAZING with the pepperoni and the ricotta and the marinara sauce. I asked for the homemade Rye bread with my order. The homemade breads are so moist and soft and very delicious. My friend ordered the egg benedict and the hollandaise sauce is so rich. He switched the english muffins with the homemade honey wheat bread and it was a good decision. We also ordered for a portion of corn beef hash and a slice of cinnamon swirl french toast. I was disappointed with the french toast. It did not have any flavor than that of the cinnamon and it was absolutely not sweet. Also to keep in mind, the wait is long to get seated over the weekend. Overall, I like this place and will definitely go back. read more

Giant pancakes, friendly service and reasonable prices! What more could you ask for? Stopped by on a whim and was glad I did! Came on a mission to eat pancakes so ordered a full stack of chocolate chip banana pancakes right off the bat. My server wisely suggested the short stack. Boy was she right, those things were huge! The cakes tasted amazing, frequent coffee refills and prompt service. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast. read more
