We were regulars here and food was always good but lately the service has been very slow and the restaurant too busy for 2 servers , we couldn't get two words out when they turned away and leave . The appetizers kept us content even after asking to microwave it after serving it lukewarm but waiting Over an hour for the main course to come out just to be under cooked, im not waiting an hr again to get another meal. I am always interested to try out a revamped version of a restaurant and here it is; "The Well" to "Nostalgia" with extra offerings and clean atmosphere. It is a relaxing vibe when you walk in and welcomed right away from the bartender. The service continues to be friendly and fast. The hickory horseradish boneless wings were fantastic and woke up my senses as the fresh horseradish taste came through! Shoestring fries were crispy and hot, while the chicken tenders delivered as expected. I have been here a couple of times. The servers are nice but service is slow due to how busy the bar/restaurant is. My friend ordered a brisket special the other night. Done portions, but the Mac and cheese was cold/warm. Some spots were warm and some were just cold. Definitely not a good temperature for Mac and cheese. Couldn't let the server know as the food was dropped off and no one checked on us until we were ready for the check. No drink refills offered. Just picked up a hamburger at Nostalgia. The bun was all soggy and fell apart. The French fries were soggy and hardly cooked. Even the pickle inside was Warm. Appeared that the whole meal was put in a microwave after it was prepared. I picked it up exactly when I was told it would be ready, so don't understand what they did to the meal. The service and the food were excellent. My fried shrimp and onion rings were cooked perfectly. Not greasy and just the right amount of crunch. The shrimp was delicious and so big. My boyfriend ordered the Cajun steak and chicken wrap and loved it. All the flavors together were so good. His tater tots were perfect too. Again not greasy and the perfect amount of crunch. Went last weekend and was disappointed to say the least. Everything was great up until we received our appetizer. Only 1 out of 2 were brought to the table, with the second being brought out with the food. I was unable to tell a server as no one came over to check on us until the entrees were brought out. This being said, our drinks sat empty for a majority of the meal. The second appetizer was brought with our food, with an apology and a larger portion, on the house, added. When my burger arrived it was overflowing with mushrooms, when I had ordered no mushrooms. That was fixed and brought back to my table. I then noticed that I also didn't have bacon, which I had ordered. I told the server that it was fine as I had already waited, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't billed the extra charge. The server apologized, saying our other server hadn't heard me say that. This part really got on my nerves, as our original server repeated my meal to me twice. Once I finally grabbed my burger, my fingers went completely through my bun as it fell apart all soaked. I genuinely believe they kept the same burger the entire time and scrapped the mushrooms off which is why this happened. I had to ask for a new bun as well. FINALLY, I was able to eat the burger.... only for it to be rare when I ordered medium well. Of course I waited and waited for someone to come check on us and get this corrected, with no one coming for over 30 minutes. By this time I asked for the burger to be taken off my check which the server did. She quickly brought over the check in the same minute. We then proceeded to sit there for another 20 minutes waiting for someone to come take our check back to run the card. At this point, my boyfriend went up to the bar to pay, while I watched three different servers make eye contact and then continue to ignore him for multiple minutes. At this point we gave up and walked out of the bar area where we proceeded to ask the to-go employee if she would be able to ring us out in the other room. Now that my experience is explained, I just wanted to say how truly disappointed I was in this small business. As someone who considers Cromwell their hometown, I am more than excited to try a new place that moves into town. I gave this place multiple chances through my night, and felt that I stayed respectful to each server throughout my time regardless of the service I was receiving. I am not sure if because I am young, or because they were embarrassed by how poorly they were serving my table, but the ignorance by the team was not worth it for me. It just felt that no one wanted to look at us in the eyes after all that had happened. The only reason for a second star were because of the nachos and the beer being pretty good. read more

Wanted to try something new. I have heard good things about Nostalgia. Bar /restaurant with lots of big screen TV's and music playing in the background. It's loud when crowded but as it emptied much quieter. Very friendly servers. Checked the n but weren't hovering over us. Pour on the wine is measured. We only ordered wraps. My husband got a special. Big Mac wrap. It was huge. I just got the cheeseburger wrap with lettuce and tomato. Both were large sized. I took half of mine home for lunch. Both very good. The fries are not hand cut. Look like McDonald's fries but not as good. The onion rings were good. They have an area next to the restaurant where people go to grab slices and pickup orders. I went over when we leaving. They have desserts in a case. Not made there but looked delicious so I grabbed a chocolate mouse/cheesecake topped with ganache to take home . I haven't eaten it, I'm still to full but it looks awesome and was only $5.50. Their prices are nostalgic. They have a varied menu with pizza, calzones, wraps , burgers and entrees.
