The staff was very nice when I asked what's recommended . For the first going I obviously had to try the gold burger . The gold burger was really good ! I really enjoyed it . I liked that the burger patty's were thick and juicy well made ! The ingredients were fresh and the gold burger comes with chips in the burger for some extra crunch and the gold burger sauce which I loved ! So highly recommended especially if it's your first visit . I also ordered the side of large fries ! And they are LARGE . We were easily able to share among 4 of us . ( they also gave us the option to mix two flavours and we chose regular and sweet potato ) both really good in my opinion. We were also able to try the Mac sauce with the fries that does have a little kick to it ( but not too spicy .. I have a low tolerance for spice and I was able to handle it ) Overall a great experience can't wait to be back and try some other burgers !

And the sandwich itself looks amazing, but that chicken is not real chicken breast. It's the same type of pre-cooked chicken breast you would find in the refrigerator section of your local grocery store. I took a few bites and the rest went straight in the trash, unfortunately. I felt obligated to leaving this review and hopefully the owner of this establishment will read it and reconsider his or her quality of food. It's sad because the young man who took care of me was very nice. Hence my extra star...

Food took 45 minutes to come out. It destroyed my lunch break and by the time I could sit down and eat the food steamed in the container and got cold. The burgers were probably really good warm, but they really needed ketchup which was a little hard to get my hands on by the time I started my shift back up. Generally speaking, as a burger joint they do usually have a great burger. My experience was lacking this time around, but it's usually not that bad.

We ordered the steak tacos and a burger. My husband had no complaints about the burger but my steak was very tender. It was well seasoned but too chewy for my liking. I don't like tendon in my meat. I actually walked into the wrong restaurant and was distracted by my baby. I was trying to go to the bbq next door. Overall it was ok but I wouldn't come back again because of the steak.

I've brought countless people from friends to parents to in-laws to Plan B and everyone likes it. Yesterday I scarfed up a custom double smash burger to which I added the blue cheese sauce (tasty) with a big side of disco tots. My wife had the MOAB (mother of all burgers/big Mac knockoff) with the hand cut fries. Those fries were REALLY GOOD, I might have to switch from my beloved tots next time. There's just a few downsides I would like to share-they could really use one of those heater things by the front door, that keeps the cold air out. If you're not sitting in the bar, but at a booth on the left side, you will get a blast of cold air whenever someone enters or exits the joint. Also, I saw at least 3 Uber Eats types waiting a long time to pick up delivery orders. They should speed that up if possible.

Anyway, an old work buddy & I met there yesterday and it occurred to me I hadn't ever reviewed (shame on me). Burgers: Amazing, some of the best around! Over time, the menu has diversified a bit and there's salads and vegetarian options as well. Lately, I've opted for the burger salad, but you can't go wrong choosing otherwise. Also, they always have an expansive draft beer list so it's fun to try new ones. They bring you a bowl of dill pickle slices to compliment the "burger" theme, but if I had one wish, it would be for Plan B to go back to the awesome pickle wedges from years ago. PS. There's ample outside seating for nice days :-)

I chose to get the veggie burger with fries and my boyfriend got the outlaw burger smashed with eggplant fries. The veggie burger was made in house and excellent, but definitely needed two hands and many napkins to eat. It was the perfect amount of spicy. The fries are shoe string and crispy and delicious. They also had fantastic, soft gluten free buns which is rare to find. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger, too. He also loved my fries (typical) and his fries. My boyfriend also got a strawberry milkshake that he said was excellent. I had a strawberry mojito and it was STRONG but good. Definitely made the drink worth the money. The only thing I didn't like on the plate was the pickles. The waitress said they were made in house "bread and butter" style but they kind of just tasted like honey. I'm a pickle lover and these ones did not do it for me. The resturant itself was comfortable (with their own parking lot which is rare in West Hartford) but I didn't love the layout. It kind of reminded me of a church community center with a bunch of tables in a basement and not the best artwork. Compared to other Max locations, this one's decor was a little lack luster. I also did not love that there was a charge to have my fries prepared in a separate gluten free fryer. That being said, this was a solid, higher end burger restaurant with a unique menu and plenty of non-burger options.

(from the 1954 Broadway musical The Pajama Game) Steamed cheeseburgers seem to be a Connecticut thing, and Meriden, CT's Ted's Restaurant might be Ground Zero for the genre. It was established in 1959 and soon became a popular destination for Meriden's many factory workers who worked around the clock. Td's stayed open until 4 AM to accommodate them. Ted's doesn't fry their burgers in a pan or grill them on a grill. Nope - they steam them in a steel cabinet and serve them with a scoop of melted cheese and your choice of free toppings, like ketchup, mustard, mayo, lettuce tomato, chopped onions, pickles or even bacon. Their food truck is named "Steam Machine" and it was at Cheshire Craft Brewing today. In fact, it's there every Friday night and weekends. It can also be found at Hartford area attractions like Bushnell Park, the Xfinity Theatre, and at Pratt & Whitney Stadium for UConn Huskies football games. Our cheeseburgers were $8 each and they were great! I will defer to Yelper Keli R's epic description below: "Slathered high, drippy, messy, greasy with fresh vegies. It was a b*tch to eat and worth all the struggle". Yes, they sure were Keli.
