Umami burger . First , the pickle were incredible and I hate pickles . They were sweet unlike regular pickles . Burger was delicious!

This location is huge ! Lots of seating . They do have family style seating that accommodate up to 20 people . Our waitress was awesome . Very attentive! Good came out fast and piping hot . We loved everything we ordered . Not one complaint ! Drinks are expensive but well poured ! You won't be disappointed.

What a burger! Our mid-afternoon lunch at Max Burger was delish! The Maple Whiskey burger was layered with flavor-a special maple whiskey sauce, blue cheese, caramelized onions, arugula and applewood smoked bacon. The drippy moist burger was cooked perfectly medium. Loved the skin on fries, too. Everyone at our table was raving. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside on their large outdoor patio, too. They have beer, wine and spiked milkshakes! I hope to be able to return one day!

Service was good - we sat at the bar to take advantage of happy hour . Hubby got the burger - good choice always ! My nachos were a little boring but we were just popping in for a beverage. Next time I would probably order from the regular menu. In general, always reliable and many times exceptional. Not sure why I fail to review this place so often -likely because it is an institution that doesn't need reviews

Fried chicken sando. Hot, crunchy, delish. Fries were right out of the fryer! Excellent!

Dined outside for lunch. Very nice patio. Tables well spaced. Excellent service. Reasonable prices for WeHa center. Cobb salad and chicken sando were very good. Fries were right out of the fryer.

Ordered the blackened shrimp tacos minus the lime -cilantro slaw (not a cilantro fan). I did choose the cole slaw as my side and added to the tacos...so good! Our waiter was very friendly. The kitchen did miss sending out some condiments my family asked for but our server corrected it quickly. Also had the Seasonal Sangria which I enjoyed but it was a bit too sweet ...just my opinion though. My daughter who likes sangria said it was good.

How do you change the french fries? They were perfect. Delicious. A staple item.. worth every calorie. Now... bland, possibly frozen, would rather get broccolini as a side. The grilled cheese is still decent.. Sorry MB.. you were always 5 stars for me but I never wrote a review. Changing the fries did you dirty

Great burger spot in west Hartford that serves various styles of burgers or custom made to order. I got the All American burger on a pretzel roll with truffle fries and it was delicious. Burger was perfectly cooked to order, fries were well seasoned, and all of the other food on the menu looked good as well. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant with some light music playing, everything was clean, and service was exceptional as well. Look forward to returning and trying more of the menu.

I've been here two or three times before, but never reviewed or took photos. We went on a Saturday night and it was fairly busy but we didn't have a wait and food came out quick enough. My wife' dared to order a salad at a burger restaurant but it was very good. I stuck with a classic beef burger. I love pineapple on a burger (pizza too for that matter). Eggplant fries were some of the best I've ever had. Wish I lived closer so I could come back more often.

We decided to drop by Max Burger on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated right away and well attended to. Our table was clean and in a quieter part in the back of the room. Our drinks and food were served quickly. I had a Cherry Valance (rye, cherry liqueur, vanilla liqueur, black walnut bitters) and my partner had a shake special with whiskey added to it. Both were delicious. I ordered the Maple Whiskey Burger with tots and my partner had the Fatty Melt. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted great. We were very satisfied by our meals.

Used to be one of my go to restaurants. The amount of times this place has changed their menu is insane. I get changing it up seasonally but they never bring any items back. One of my all time favorite items was their short rib taco last year and it is nowhere to be found again. So sad. I at least thought they'd bring it back for summer! Most recently we came because we know their hand cut fries are amazing. Shockingly enough our entrees came out with clearly frozen fries. The menu still says hand cut fries. Staff told us yes they definitely are not hand cut anymore. Really unsure why this decision was made. In addition, I asked for the chicken swarma wrap on a Friday night at 5:30pm and was told they had zero wraps left so I had to get a completely different entree. Unfortunately, not sure anything on the menu really will bring me back.

I've been here a couple of times now and both times were great. The service was quick, friendly, and fast. The food came out looking and tatsing delicious. I've only dined outside on their spacious patio because the weather was great. They had the heater blasting which I requested to to be turned down because it was burning my head, other patrons agreed. I started off with a Saturday fun day glass of their Green Mind Avocado Margarita, yes, you read that right; avocado mixed into a margarita, very interesting but it worked. The drink was on the smaller side for $13 and change but it was good and I could taste the slight creaminess of the avocado. They had a good sized cocktail menu and a variety of craft beers. On this most recent visit, I had the Korean BBQ burger. OMG, juicy and flavorful; it had gochujang mayo, kimchi, onion straws, and Korean BBQ sauce. The fries were crunchy and seasoned well. I wished there were more pickled cucumber slices because those were BANGIN'. Overall, a great experience at lunch and can't wait to try out their other burgers.

Some think of it as corporate or chain or both, but the thing is, the environment is comfortable, the service is good, and the food is generally VERY well executed. Been here at least a half dozen times over the years and have been happy every time. They don't just serve one kind of burger with different toppings; they mix up the sizes, styles, and thicknesses. Translation: it's not just a copycat burger place with the same tired smash burger (which I like, but not EVERY time) and tiresome Martin's rolls (ditto). Bistro Burger: Thicker hoity-toity burger, ordered medium rare. Came out cooked to temperature, good feel, good taste. The Brie-- a block that's thicker than your iPhone--got a slight melt and contributed slight flavor, but seemed to crash the party texturewise. Bacon onion jam added to the mix nicely without standing out noticeably. Ciabatta bun, though doable, was on the firm side, compounding the discrepancy between narrower patty and wider bun. Despite these minor flaws and preference misalignments, this was still a very good burger. Flavorful and cooked perfectly, the beef was outstanding. Fatty Melt: You might think they DID pull a copycat here, because others have done a fatty melt--a burger patty between two grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun--but here every component was different. The burger was tender, flavorful, juicy even at the requested medium, and of high quality beef, not your cheap supply store issue hiding behind the gimmicky. And the grilled cheese sandwiches above and below were thin and light of bread, with crusts trimmed to help out that beef-to-bread ratio this time. Also high caliber cheese: thicker than the bread, melty, buttery, and adult. Even with every aspect clicking, the superb whole was greater than the sum of its parts. We were tempted to split another one for "dessert." Fries: Hand-cut, crisp, soft inside. Some smaller pieces, but not a problem. Onion Rings: Thin-cut rings of large diameter with thick coating of crunchy batter. Not the seafood shack type I love, but not the beer batter type I don't love. Decent. Burgers on previous visits have been even better. Go big, go small, go try something new. But go. For just a little more than the cost of Five Guys, you can have an adult experience and beef that's sourced and cooked with pride.

Another amazing happy hour visit. Our server, Meg was too notch. A++ service as always. There's an update to our beloved happy hour. 2.50$ all beef hot dogs. This weeks special was a Memphis dog. Still in love with their short rib. Get it added to everything you can!

New Year's Eve dinners/New Year's day brunch specials, in my experiences, have always been a cash grab by restaurants where you would get a decent meal but always leave hungry or the opposite where the price was super extravagant yet food was mediocre at best. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE!!! Food was amazing. Chicken was spiced and fried to perfection. Crunchy without being greasy. I refuse to eat fried chicken in public yet almost human eating this with people around. Juicy meat, 4 piece of half breast, wing, thigh and drummy all meaty. Sides of picked pepper mac&cheese and Cole slaw. My wife tore into that coleslaw like her life depended on it and was everything she's been looking for in a slaw Breakfast burrito was packed full of goodness, substantial. Side of potatoes which could've been a meal in of itself. $19 and well worth it. Brought half home for breakfast the next day. All in all, not only was their value in the prices offered throughout the menu, the food is incredible. Service was amazing. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, good eye for when we needed something without us having to ask. Perfect start to the new year and aching to come back for dinner. It was worth staying home NYE and falling asleep early in order to be fresh and ready for this dining experience.
