Some people learned about Philly's when the New Haven location (now closed) first opened. Fun Fact -- the Norwich location is the OG. If you live outside the area, it's perfect for before and after Foxwoods meals. It's worth a drive. I've been a fan for years. Philly's specializes in cheesesteaks, and they have a variety of specialty steaks named after Philadelphia athletes and other things. For the recent Yelp check-in, I ordered the Broad Street Bully, which is high tier shaved ribeye, whiz, provolone, onions, peppers, mushrooms and pickles. There was so much steak and filling, it fell out of the super fresh hoagie roll when I tried to eat it. All of the ingredients were high quality. Delicious! Philly's is one of the very top spots for cheesesteaks in CT. I also had tasty crispy fries with whiz on the side. And the seriously delicious Phried Philly Bread dessert, which is sort of like bread pudding with ice cream and tasty sauce. Service was very friendly. There's some seating if you want to eat there. Thanks to Philly's and Yelp for their generosity! 5 Stars

I certainly was not expecting a gas station to have a gourmet pizza shop inside. My brother told me I needed to trust him. And I'm so glad I did. We got two huge slices to share. They have some vegetarian options with ricotta that I recommend (and I'm a meat eater for sure.). Wish I had more time in the area to get more speciality slices!

This pizza location is so awesome and should have there own building as it's in a gas station plaza and you would think it's just a ok spot bite ally it's deceiving as it's really good. A friend of mine brought me here a year ago as he knows the owner. I was wowed then and should go more often but definitely when I'm in in the area as it's in east Hampton not close to home. If you haven't tried it you must go. The Meatball, onion & ricotta is so delicious. My son really liked the BBQ chicken one.

Ordered to go from here was ready on time pizza was tasty and overall good crust was a bit cracker for NY style but close. Toppings were great and plentiful on pies

Recently visited the newly reopened Three Fellas located in the new Atlantis Convenience store in Marlborough. After a somewhat confusing time navigating between their google listing/allhungry ordering system, I realized that ordering is now done completely thru their website, and not with any 3rd party. They also do not currently have an active phone line, so ordering is done exclusively online, at least for the moment. The pizza was done very quickly - about 20 minutes in a Friday at dinner time, and the staff working that night were all extremely friendly and pleasant. They only offer one pizza size, a 16", so I had lots of leftovers. While the cheese/sauce combo is reminiscent of their old pizza, the crust was disappointing, coming out rather uncooked and flavorless. They also seem to utilize what looked like a conveyer belt type of oven, rather than a conventional pizza oven, so it's possible the timing is off. I'm not sure if the crust was frozen, but the flavor, cooking method and one size option points to that direction. Overall, the staff there was great and it's nice to have a NY style pizza option in the area again, I just hope they adjust their crust to stand out and not go down a 'convenience store pizza' path

Introduced to this place by a friend who swears by them. Meeting friends In East Hampton we grabbed pizza from here. My only objection is they are 30 minutes away from me. Would be my go too if they were closer to home.

I'm not one to complain EVER but I just got this salad for a quick dinner, with 2 small bags of chips. It was $17 and change. For lettuce..and chicken. No veggies in the salad at all. The menu stated $10.25 for the salad and I asked if it was a mistake? Nope, just some really expensive lettuce ‍ Needless to say I'm hungry and will eat it anyways, but won't be returning.

Do not order the Chicken Parm grinder. They do not use chicken cutlets. They use shredded chicken pieces instead. Very dissatisfied.

I noticed there was a food truck, that made wood fired pizza, while you sip your beer (or wine). This is a woman owned pizza business, her name is Janet, she left the corporate world to make real wood fired pizza with fresh ingredients from the hearth and soul! We were a party of three hungry people. We ordered two pizzas. They only offer one size, it's about the size of an average personal pizza, 12 inches across. We got the veggie and the pepperoni. There might have been one more option. This was a nice sunny afternoon, with a good amount of guests enjoying quality time outside. We waited about a half hour and our pizzas were ready. Yum! My veggie pizza looked delicious! It had all the best things on it! It was filled with spinach, sun dried tomatoes, plenty of fresh mozzarella and mushrooms. This is pretty thin pizza, but nice, crispy and perfectly charred on the edges. Yum! I'm so glad I randomly came across this woman owned gem! As far as the pepperoni, this isn't my first pick, but a very solid choice, no question. There's plenty of fresh mozzarella and plenty of pepperoni slices for those who love this classic. Each pizza was $19, a little on the high side, but it is excellent pizza with ingredients to be appreciated. I'm not sure how often Hearth and Soul changes it's locations, if you see them I'd for sure give them a try. I really loved their veggie pizza, they don't skimp on the toppings. Also for an additional $2.00 they can make the pizza with gluten free dough. Now everyone can be happy!

We just tried it for dinner. The restaurant is small. Just 3 booths & about 4-5 tables. They don't take reservations, which wasn't an issue when we went on a Sunday evening. For both lunch & dinner, you get delicious garlicky rolls. We tried the burrata/fig appetizer- so good with the fig jam & balsamic vinegar glaze. Tortellini carbonara was very good as was the special of sole franchise. The servings are large and we took leftovers home. I had an expresso martini with Baileys- good & very frothy. They do have lunch portions until 3:00. At lunch, our friend had the pizza which looked very good & crispy. I had the eggplant parmigiana (took half home). So good! Service was so nice & attentive. I believe they also do takeout. Glad we found Amicis.

The restaurant is in a sleepy little corner of Glastonbury in a tiny strip mall. The inside is decorated well and it's a very pretty space. The single waitress was handling the entire place herself. She got me seated after a short wait. She was very polite and helpful, offered recommendations and was always available but was very busy. Opted for linguini in vodka sauce with meatballs, and the crème brûlée. Food came out after a short wait. Took pics and dug in The pasta was not boiled in salty water. Pasta consistency was slick and firm but not crunchy. Either overworked fresh pasta or dried, I'm not sure which. The vodka sauce was one note, lacking any depth. It was a creamy tomato sauce and really needed seasoning to punch up the flavors. The meatball was dense, lacked any seasoning or flavor. They were cooked and warm, just not much going on beyond ground beef. The Marinara was actually really good. Balanced, sweet but not overly acidic. The quality showed in that sauce. The crème brûlée was very good. Little bit boozy due the gran mariner on top with the caramelized sugar. Creamy and light on the vanilla but the perfect consistency. The best bite of the bites. The garlic knots and cappuccino were okay. Nothing fancy there, but functional and good enough. The server showed concern when I didn't eat much of my entree. She offered replacements, which I declined. The hospitality was great even with her being as busy as she was. Price was high, coming out to around 45 bucks for the pasta and meatballs, cappuccino, and dessert. It was a lunch on a Monday, so not expecting the best. But the price was a bit much for the quality provided. I can see glimmers of greatness here. The server and the dessert were great, but their entrees leave a bit to be desired. As an Italian restaurant, it has the perfect ambiance and service expected for an elevated experience in that area. The foods a bit lacking, but if you go for the location and the service then you'll do just fine.

"I love the flower girl Oh, I don't know just why…read moreShe simply caught my eye I love the flower girl she seemed so sweet and kind. She crept into my mind." (The Cowsills) Visiting the Flour Girl Café and Bakery will put you squarely in the middle of a Flour Girl Village with four distinct components. Within the village is the Flour Girl Café at 16 Main, the Flour Girl Bakery at 14 Main, the Flour Girl Country Store at 12 Main, and the Door Yard in a rear courtyard for dining and hosting events between the bakery and country store. Today we had breakfast at the Café and followed it up with a visit to the bakery. A common thread at both stops was the wonderful personality and friendliness of the staff we interacted with. The counterperson at the Café could not have been nicer and her personality radiated throughout the room like a beam of sunshine. She welcomed every new customer as though they were long lost relatives, exchanged some pleasant small talk and then diligently repeated the orders before ringing them up. She was fantastic. The café keeps things humming all week long--open Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 4:00, Saturdays from 7:30 to 4:00, and Sundays from 7:30 to 3:00. Flour Girl Café covers you from breakfast through lunch. Mornings bring all the good stuff: coffees and lattes, smoothies, egg sandwiches, bagels, wraps, waffles, toasts--you get the idea. Swing by at lunchtime and you'll find sandwiches, paninis, salads, burgers and soups waiting for you. Oh, and as a bonus perk, the bread for sandwiches and burgers is made at the bakery next door, so freshness is something the Flour Girl takes seriously. For breakfast, we had a Bacon, Egg, Lettuce, Tomato, and Cheese Bagel ($7.99) and an Avocado Toast (2 pieces) with Feta and tomato ($9.99), Two 16-ounce drip coffees were $3.50 apiece. The portions were large, and my avocado toast on sourdough was fantastic. We sat in the first-floor dining room and took in the pretty interior design of pinks, pastels, and floral color theme. Now, on to the bakery! The Flour Girl Bakery may be best known for its sourdough breads, but the fun doesn't stop there. You'll also find muffins, cookies, scones, their award winning cinnamon rolls, and a rotating lineup of fresh baked breads. And those cinnamon rolls? They spark a full on weekend rush--people happily line up just to snag one before they disappear. We picked up a box of mixed goods, muffins, cake squares, and a big hunk of jalapeno cornbread that will go perfectly with a homemade batch of lentil chili sitting in my fridge. We saw an adorable feature at the bakery, where plastic eggs were hidden within the store for the kiddies to find and cash in for a cookie. It's the little customer service features we saw at the Flour Girl's Café, Bakery, and Country Store that made today's visit so pleasant.

I think there may be a small sign but i heard it several times during my visit - people asking for breakfast! Might be something to reconsider or place a visible sign underlining breakfast stops at 11:30 AM. Anyhow, pivoted to the lunch menu - pesto chicken sandwich was delicious. Did not love the pasta salad, wish there was the option for fry's. Really wanted the thanksgiving wrap but was out of stuck - next time hopefully! I will say - while there are many options for seating, especially with the new accommodation, it's tight. Chairs back into aisles and the table legs don't allow chairs to be pushed in that well. Entrance area can feel a bit overwhelming if it's busy. Staff super friendly and knowledgeable, will continue to come back.
