    Italian chocolate Easter egg
    Eri G.

First time here. We went for lunch. The restaurant was clean with a casual setting. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We ordered fried mozzarella and zucchini fries for the table. My companions got pizza and I ordered the Tuscan salad. Everything was enjoyable with zero complaints. I was not expecting to see an Italian chocolate Easter egg. I've seen them on TikTok and thought I'd never get to experience one. It was the last one and seeing as it's a week after Easter that makes me pretty lucky.

a variety of sandwiches in plastic containers

Called in an order for 4 sandwiches. Took 20 minutes for the person on other end of line to capture the complexity of a meatball, Italian, turkey, and tuna. Picked them up. Got them home. Take a look at this trash (image below). We're currently in process of disassembling and rebuilding to feed the kids. Last time we'll order from here. How about taking a little pride in your business??

Tried Rossini's for the first time based on a few recommendations & reviews. Unfortunately, they aren't doing dine-in so I couldn't sit & enjoy the wonderful pizza aromas coming from the kitchen. I ordered online ( a plus) & instead of using the curbside pickup I chose to stretch my legs & pickup the order at the counter. I must say I enjoyed seeing pizzas being made while I waited. The employees are super friendly & I had the impression they actually liked working at this restaurant. I ordered a small Rossini's Special & the Carlo Combo, that consists of bone in wings, large onion rings & a square mozzarella patty? They aren't the traditional sticks. To be honest, I was tad bit disappointed. I wanted to eat a stick on my way home. Nonetheless, it didn't alter the taste of the traditional mozzarella style. I was surprised at the amount of sauce they gave. But again, a little disappointed, it was a pizza sauce rather than marinara. Again, it didn't stop me from eating it. The flavor wasn't anything special. In fact I found myself urning more spices. The fry on mozzarella was great, the typical coating & it wasn't burned or soggy. This brings me to the onion rings...the coating should be the same as the patty but instead it was batter (I think). Reminded me of what fried oreos are dipped into, maybe. These did become soggy & onion slide right out. There wasn't much of a crunch. But did I still eat it...yup. The wings were amazing. In fact, I was craving more days later. I'm not a fan of wet wings (mess factor), but these were perfect. Just they right amount sauce & I definitely received the bourban flavor. The cook was spot on as well. They meat wasn't dry or tough. They also weren't malnourished little chickens. I'm definitely ordering them again. The thin crusted pizza...while it was piping hot & the toppings were in abundance, tasted fresh, & the bacon had a nice crisp to it..I wasn't too impressed. The crust was tough & it somehow it shredded the rough of my mouth. With this experience, I'm 1 & done. I'll be back for the wings & I'll give the grinders a shot.

This is the one piece of cheese on the tomato on the top of whole thing?!?

who makes a toasted turkey grinder like this... it's built like a hot dog.... the only piece of cheese is attached to a tomato that's just on top And it just fell of...... this was terrible...... I have never had so many questions about a grinder in my life.

We stopped in for dinner after hearing how good the pizza was here...probably should have gotten the pizza! No, I instead we opted for dinners. Chicken Parmesan with angel hair pasta, and broiled shrimp with a side of broccoli. The shrimp comes with fries so I asked to sub the broccoli, and was not told there was a $4 up charge (for a bow of broccoli, go figure!) until I saw the bill. Each meal came with a soup or salad, we each got the salad with ranch dressing. Salad was mixed greens, good size for a starter salad, the ranch was more on the tangy side. We got a basket of Italian bread which was not warm, but it was fresh and chewy. Sauce is tasty, a little salty for us, but we don't generally use salt in our food at home, so that could be why. The shrimp were small and the dish was completely unimpressive. Cracker topping drenched in an oily butter. It was not horrible but I probably would not order again. The ambiance is nice and honey, you can totally feel the local hometown vibe. The server, waitress and busboy were all very friendly. Overall not a bad experience. We do not live close by, but do drive through on occasion so perhaps the next time we try this place we will most certainly try the pizza!

On my most recent visit, I got a gluten free roll which was about a small hamburger size, and when your order online from a picnic table and are texted when it's ready, the food is all bagged up to go (in fairness, they don't know your online order is being made from the property) and the lobster is in it's own little cup, so that your bread isn't soggy by the time you open it to eat it. It's not a big portion, but I mean I don't remember the last time I got a lobster roll that was as big as I wished it was, unless it was a spot that offered regular or jumbo. The sweet potato fries are great and would help fill you up if you got it with the roll, but since i knew I'd be ordering again for ice cream later, I kept it light and opted for a free side of cucumbers (fries and onion rings are an up-charge, think there are more too I just can't recall what they are now). They are also BYOB, and everything we've tried has been good! I'll be back and love spending and afternoon here! The ice cream is Gifford's, not home made, in case you were wondering. Check them out! I also really enjoyed the rope swing in the past, though forgot to even look and see if it was still there last weekend.

Only about a half-hour away from me is Jessica's Garden. Here's why my wife and I love coming here... Atmosphere/Appearance: Kind of out in the sticks is this gem, but many benefits of that are that there's private parking and plenty of it. Up the hill from where you park is where you go to order your food. You walk up to the counter to check out the menu or you can order from your phone. Hint, if you check-in on Yelp you may get a coupon to use online! Once you order you won't really be notified so just go to the other window around the corner from where you ordered to pick up your food. There's plenty of picnic table style seating and so much property to explore. There's woods back to check out and this place is just so peaceful. It's also... BYOB. That's what's most important. Lol, especially with a liquor store right up the street. Service: There really isn't any since you go order your own food then go pick it right back up. Food: It's a pretty simple menu here. The lobster roll is what you want. Yes, it can be pricy, but lobster just is. However, it's amazing. The lobster is soft, tender, succulent and of course, buttery. You do have to assemble the roll yourself since everything here is sold as a to-go order. It kinda makes sense. I've also had some wings and onion rings here. They're okay, nothing to write home about, but good enough for me to get each time I visit. Value: Moderate. Easily affordable, nothing crazy and the fact that it's B.Y.O.B. makes it WAY better! Lol. In conclusion, Jessica's Garden is my duck-off spot where I go if I wanna eat outdoors, am craving a lobster roll and I just wanna chill. Check this place out guys and continue to support these local businesses!

Love the area, quintessential New England Country charm. As a pescatarian, I was happy to find several menu options! Yay! The service was fantastic from start to finish. First off, the ambience of the place is fairly nice though you would not know it from how many of the other patrons choose to attire themselves. If you're looking for a upscale, dining experience, other patrons would suggest this is not the place for you. They started off by attending to put us at the wrong table per our reservation. The table was apparently filled, and they moved us to a different table, which was perfectly fine as it was a nice booth with a window right next to the table. They then gave us several menus from which to choose, which was confusing as there were so many different menus with similar food options, including brunch, menu, a burger, menu, a dinner menu, a Mother's Day, special menu, and the regular menu. There were also two separate drink menus. We started by ordering some drinks and an appetizer of the meat and cheeseboard for the table. We put in our full order at just before 12:59 PM and the meat and cheeseboard came out fairly quick. Overall, it was the best part of our time at the restaurant. With regards to our main meal, we had ordered an eggs, Benedict, a children's pancake and bacon, special, and a steak and eggs meal. That was apparently a mistake as it took them over one hour six minutes before the food hit the table and when it did, it was a mess. The medium rare steak was cooked to a well done with the eggs being extremely messy and not very runny for over easy. The potatoes were dark and charred in places, but we're not crispy by any stretch of the imagination. The Canadian bacon had not been rendered well on the eggs Benedict and one of the two poached eggs clearly had not been poached appropriately. Also, my daughter indicated that the syrup was way too sweet, which was especially surprising as she is someone with a sweet tooth. The pancakes themselves were extremely dense and unfair and served on a plastic tray missing one of the size that was supposed to come with the order. It is clear that the kitchen does not know what they are doing as I was the second person in a row to have issues with the cook temperature on my steak, a problem that appears to carry over to other aspects of the meal as well. At the one hour mark, I've been so frustrated. I had requested to speak with a manager and he was actually the one who brought out the food to our table. There was a good four minute gap between two of the meals being brought out and the third meal, which is what my wife had ordered for her Mother's Day brunch. By the time the eggs Benedict came out, I showed the manager my stake and eggs, and he agreed that it was cooked to a well done rather than the medium rare I had ordered. I had overheard the exact same issue on the next table over where the older woman had not gotten her meal until nearly all seven others at the table had completed their food. At that point, I sent back my steak and indicated I did not want it to be remade as I was done with the place. Shirley, thereafter, I was clear the rest of the family was of the same mind as the meals were a mess and cooked improperly. The manager eventually came over and indicated that he is going to take care of the entire CHUCK which makes sense sense more than 75% of the food ordered had been uneaten or inedible. The service was no better as waiters and waitresses would walk by and failed to refill empty water glasses, even though they would look right at the empty water glass and would have pictures of water in their hand at times. One waitress went to five separate tables around us, including table she was not serving and failed to fill our water, but filled water at other tables. Our waiter was also missing an action for a good portion of the meal. Despite having the meal taken care of, I did leave a small tip for the waiter, though nowhere near what I would have had the service been even somewhat competent. This is a major disappointment as the last experience I had at this restaurant for dinner had been so positive it convinced me to book the place for Mother's Day brunch. I'm not sure if this was a one off situation but I would never recommend a return to this place based on the experience I had this day. What's worse, our reservation appeared to fall between two rushes as we were the second table in the rush that showed up about 10 to 15 minutes after our arrival at the place. As such, our food should've been fairly quick and coming out but others who ordered their food more than 20 minutes after our table received it with no problem. I have to say that the Taco Bell we had as result of this poor food service was Myles and Myles better than the food experience at the restaurant itself.

We couldn't decide between inside and outside so when we were seated at a window table over looking the patio, we had the best of both worlds. Both the dining room and bar are lovely. There are tons of GF options, but I always go for the choices I normally can't have elsewhere. They have a dedicated GF fryer so I opted for the fried fish and sweet potato fries. The fries were crispy and lightly salted. The fish was tasty and crisp, but a little dry on the thinner piece. The coleslaw was an Asian style slaw, which was not my thing. It was a bit odd for me. My friend opted for a chicken wrap and it was insanely large and she said it was delicious. The photo is only 1/2 of the sandwich which she took home. I had the red sangria. It was drinkable but had a bit of a sour taste and no fruit. My friend had the Hugo Spritz, which was perfect and refreshing. I have been here a few times and they are consistent and have a wide menu. It's on my list of regulars. Hint, if you go to Sayulita and can't get in, this place is right across the street and a good choice.
