My husband and I were with our 2 ravenous grandsons hoping to fill their empty stomachs. We were more than satisfied with as our boys called it "the best pizza ever."We ordered the large meat pizza and it was both delicious and filled with meat. We will definitely take the 50 minute drive again to satisfy our craving for scrumptious pizza. I must give our waitress an A+ in being both caring and helpful. First time here. We went for lunch. The restaurant was clean with a casual setting. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We ordered fried mozzarella and zucchini fries for the table. My companions got pizza and I ordered the Tuscan salad. Everything was enjoyable with zero complaints. I was not expecting to see an Italian chocolate Easter egg. I've seen them on TikTok and thought I'd never get to experience one. It was the last one and seeing as it's a week after Easter that makes me pretty lucky. read more

We like to support our local small businesses, and tried this establishment a few times in the past and decided to give it another try last evening. They sat us promptly; however we were in a booth that is the main traffic route for the back room, so other customers and staff were constantly walking back and forth, which was not ideal. The waitress was very attentive and the food was good; however, a trip to the men's and women's room was very disappointing and a real turn off. The only ladies toilet would not flush, and the room in general is very unkept and outdated. A waitress was waiting for me to come out, and I cautioned her/apologized that I was unable to flush the toilet and she replied oh that's ok-that happens sometimes-the men's room was very filthy and my husband was tempted to leave before the food arrived based on the state of the rest room-very insanitary. read more

Tried Rossini's for the first time based on a few recommendations & reviews. Unfortunately, they aren't doing dine-in so I couldn't sit & enjoy the wonderful pizza aromas coming from the kitchen. I ordered online ( a plus) & instead of using the curbside pickup I chose to stretch my legs & pickup the order at the counter. I must say I enjoyed seeing pizzas being made while I waited. The employees are super friendly & I had the impression they actually liked working at this restaurant. I ordered a small Rossini's Special & the Carlo Combo, that consists of bone in wings, large onion rings & a square mozzarella patty? They aren't the traditional sticks. To be honest, I was tad bit disappointed. I wanted to eat a stick on my way home. Nonetheless, it didn't alter the taste of the traditional mozzarella style. I was surprised at the amount of sauce they gave. But again, a little disappointed, it was a pizza sauce rather than marinara. Again, it didn't stop me from eating it. The flavor wasn't anything special. In fact I found myself urning more spices. The fry on mozzarella was great, the typical coating & it wasn't burned or soggy. This brings me to the onion rings...the coating should be the same as the patty but instead it was batter (I think). Reminded me of what fried oreos are dipped into, maybe. These did become soggy & onion slide right out. There wasn't much of a crunch. But did I still eat it...yup. The wings were amazing. In fact, I was craving more days later. I'm not a fan of wet wings (mess factor), but these were perfect. Just they right amount sauce & I definitely received the bourban flavor. The cook was spot on as well. They meat wasn't dry or tough. They also weren't malnourished little chickens. I'm definitely ordering them again. The thin crusted pizza...while it was piping hot & the toppings were in abundance, tasted fresh, & the bacon had a nice crisp to it..I wasn't too impressed. The crust was tough & it somehow it shredded the rough of my mouth. With this experience, I'm 1 & done. I'll be back for the wings & I'll give the grinders a shot. read more

We wanted to try Rossinis after seeing the pizza challenge on the news, severely disappointed. Ordered 2 pizzas and both were so greasy and acidic, ended up throwing away more then half of each. Really looked forward to trying it and maybe we caught them on a bad day, it was slow so not sure why it was so bad. read more

It is a good local, all around Italian restaurant, in the East Hampton area with a wide variety of options in their menu. Having tried many of the other local pizza places, I believe Rossini's pies are OK for what you get in East Hampton. Their take out can be super busy at times, which leads to longer waits and sometimes rushed-out pizza IMO, but they still get a lot of 5-star reviews and I believe that is exaggerated by locals. It is not the best pizza out there by any means, and there are better pizzas to be had if you are willing to drive. More on that below.... but they do however check a lot of boxes - NY style, good sauce, thin, etc... My two biggest issues with their pizza - dry crust and blandness... it lacks some serious flavors; however the crust itself has a good crisp and under carriage, but the dough itself is extremely dry and flavorless. It is like biting into a rice cake. You don't get the nice rich plumb flavors from their tomato sauce which is a shame. BUT wait... please hear me out on this one. I know how to wake this pizza up and transform this sad fairy tale around into Cinderela story. Order an extra thin crust pizza, and when you get home put it in the Air-Fryer for 350F for a few minutes (make sure to put in the rack so the pizza slices are elevated) and.... HOLY BAJESUS!!! This pizza will come alive in a whole different way. It will be absolutely night and day from what you take out from the store. The crust becomes moist and super crispy. The flavors will blossom and develop amazing depth of flavors you knew was there but needed a little help. It turns into a damn good pizza that will give many other reputable establishments a run for their money. I'm sure that's how Rossini intended their pies to be straight out of their oven, but that's just it... It doesn't; and it aggravates me that I have to resort to Air-Frying their pizza when I get home to get it going when other places will sell me a better complete product out of the oven. Rossini still a decent spot with decent overall food like salads, pasta, chicken, appetizers, etc... and for that we keep them on our take out rotation. Their pizza needs a little help. Great potential but they just need to unlock it. read more

My husband and I have been getting pizza from Rossini's for years. Their vegetarian pizza is loaded with veggies. They have never been skimpy on their toppings like so many places are. Their generous toppings go right to the edge. We have never found it greasy. It is a bit of a drive for us so we do not get there as often as we would like. It is our very favorite pizza! We also get the eggplant calzone. The Calzone is not all dough. It has a thin crust and is loaded with ricotta, mozzarella and eggplant. They also provide a container of sauce. Ohhhh! I so want to like this place! Food is just ok but local to where we are. We were SO patient with them through COVID, giving them as much business as we could. Tonight was our last time! COVID is over. NO more excuses. When you tell me 40 minutes for my food to be ready, I accept it or not. I chose to accept. When it takes 30 minutes LONGER, 70 MINUTES that is unacceptable! If I question you and you tell me that you got a big party in the meantime. Unacceptable! I placed my order before them! They can wait!! Don't give me "FREE" dessert as a consolation because it is going in the garbage. We don't eat dessert! EVER! I don't and my husband's allergies don't allow him to have what they gave us. We stopped in for dinner after hearing how good the pizza was here...probably should have gotten the pizza! No, I instead we opted for dinners. Chicken Parmesan with angel hair pasta, and broiled shrimp with a side of broccoli. The shrimp comes with fries so I asked to sub the broccoli, and was not told there was a $4 up charge (for a bow of broccoli, go figure!) until I saw the bill. Each meal came with a soup or salad, we each got the salad with ranch dressing. Salad was mixed greens, good size for a starter salad, the ranch was more on the tangy side. We got a basket of Italian bread which was not warm, but it was fresh and chewy. Sauce is tasty, a little salty for us, but we don't generally use salt in our food at home, so that could be why. The shrimp were small and the dish was completely unimpressive. Cracker topping drenched in an oily butter. It was not horrible but I probably would not order again. The ambiance is nice and honey, you can totally feel the local hometown vibe. The server, waitress and busboy were all very friendly. Overall not a bad experience. We do not live close by, but do drive through on occasion so perhaps the next time we try this place we will most certainly try the pizza! read more

Consistently good grinders. I had a delicious chicken parmigiana grinder this week. Chicken breast cutlet was crispy and there was plenty of sauce and provolone cheese nicely toasted. Ordered two grinders during lunch hours. Based on their website lunch menu they offered a special grinder named "Tony's special' that had meatball, sausage and eggplant. Also decided to order a grilled chicken grinder. Picked up grinders and asked to pay $19 and change. I asked why the lunch menu said 6.99 each for the grinders I ordered...rude reply was they offer two size grinders and if customer doesn't specify you automatically get a large. Why does menu offer 8 inch grinder during lunchtime if you are just going to make large ones? Anyway if I just had to deal with a rude manager as my only issue I would have been fine with two large grinders. The Tony's special was the most tasteless food I have ever ate. The grilled chicken grinder was little chunks of chicken most restaurants would serve if someone ordered a chicken salad.The chicken chunks tasted spoiled and the lettuce served was limp and browned. Any other restaurant I have ordered grilled chicken grinders from actually serve you chicken breasts, not little chicken nuggets, I mean subway even provides you oven roasted chicken breast in their six dollar footlong! After only being able to eat half the Tony's special and not touching the chicken grinder at all I drove back to the restaurant and handed them back the two grinders, explaining the chicken was spoiled and the meatball sausage combo was tasteless. The two people at the counter had nothing to say at all. More importantly I never heard back from the owner who had my name and phone number from the take out order an hour earlier. Rossini's used to have decent food as I have eaten there for decades. The horrible service plus inedible food prompted me to take the time to bring back the grinders, hope the owner knows his staff served food that was spoiled and no attempt to make it right for the customer occured read more

We used to go to Rossini's often when our son was younger. Haven't been in quite some time, and it did not disappoint. Rossini's is a nice family type restaurant that has been in East Hampton for over 20 years. They have a large menu, which includes pizza, grinders, Italian entrees, seafood entrees and more. The pizza is thin crust and always good. My husband had the Hot and Tasty, one of our favorites, which can be red or white and has garlic, onion, green peppers, hot breaded peppers and cheese. I had a broiled seafood entree with haddock, shrimp and scallops. The fish was fresh but it had too much butter sauce for my taste. Also came with a vegetable medley on the side, which was tasty. Entrees include salad and bread. The salad is very basic with iceberg, tomato, cucumber and black olives. There is not a full bar but they serve beer and wine. Enjoyed a Thomas Hooker Blond Ale. Not a large selection but a few craft brew choices. All and all an enjoyable dinner with pizza leftovers! read more
